Bottom Line: If you are in the and want a decent, quick, inexpensive breakfast go here. It may not look like your average breakfast place but it is quite good for the price. This place is quickly becoming a go to breakfast joint for me and my family. I've never been for the lunch, despite being a fan of Philly sandwiches, so i will have to do another review once i try the lunch menu. This review is solely based on my experiences with the breakfast. It's really a no frills place. There is a drive thru and it's definitely fast considering they are preparing a meal for you and not something wrapped in paper sitting on a warmer. It's not quite as grab and go as many other fast food places but if you compare your wait time sitting in your car in a line stretched around mcdonalds I'd say this place beats it hands down. Usually not a lot of breakfast traffic but the food is consistent and pretty darn good. The pancakes stack up well compared to most restaurants (see what i did there). I think they get a bit heavy handed on the onions in their omelets, and I like onions a lot, but tends to be a very dominant flavor. I may start ordering my omelets light on the onions. I thoroughly enjoy this place. No specialty coffee, scones, or any other fru fru frilly stuff. It's just straight forward filling breakfast. (big guy with a big appetite and i could eat bacon and eggs nearly everyday). The only drawbacks i noticed was the really cheap styrofoam everything and plasticware; the onions as i mentioned before. And no smaller sized breakfast meals. The only breakfast sandwich I saw was an order of meat (sausage or bacon) two eggs, cheese, on a hoagie bun. While this is great for me it's not so great for kids or light eaters. I cut it two for my kids. The indoor seating is a bit uncomfortable to me, but that may be getting a bit too picky. This is not my favorite breakfast place in the city but it's pretty good on my side of town. Especially in area fairly saturated with higher end breakfast places. It's definitely worth a visit.

Awesome breakfast burritos! The bacon and potato was chock full of fillings and half was plenty. The burritos are also good to reheat the next day. Better even with salsa and sour cream. Fries are also great.

We came to this location at 9:10 because their sign said "drive thru open", when we went through the drive through (with all the lights one) no answer. We pulled around to the window and the man said they were closed. He proceeded to come outside to explain that they were closed and that the signs were inaccurate.... What a joke!

Great cheese steaks and fries made to-order, get it made anyway you want and with any of the toppings you want. You really can't go wrong. And while the place is known for the cheese steaks, the real treat is breakfast. Everything is made fresh on the grills, out for everyone to see. The decision to eat here is always an easy one to make.

Looks like they have a good breakfast selection , but I'm having the Philly Swiss. It was clean on the inside, the man who took our order was friendly. The sandwiches came out and were very good, hot and the steak was juicy. I would like to come back to try some other menu options, they had lasagna, I was watching them assemble it, and that was very cool.

Hands down, best burger in the area. Juicy, fresh, not over-salted. Beyond that, their namesake menu offering of Philly steak sandwiches and fries are also great. Breakfast is good, though I prefer shaved hash browns to the breakfast potatoes on offer.

Fresh Philly Steak and Swiss was presented on a grilled bun and some mayo! YUM! Fries with a small cup of chili and a PEPSI...enjoyed everything but the ambiance of the place. So, I would return but probably do the drive-thru thing!

The food is decent, but not authentic. The steak was a bit over cooked and dry. The price is about normal at $10 a head for a lunch meal.

This place is definitely underrated! I paid 6.50 for a chicken philly and it was amazing! The teriyaki juice they cook the chicken in really does it for me! The bread is perfectly grilled too. Service is average fast food service, but the dining area was clean!

After an exhausting day of Eagle Creek I was absolutely starved for food. The phrase "everything taste good when you're hungry" did not apply on this afternoon at 86th St. Philadelphia Steak and Fries. I ordered the double steak burger combo while my daughter ordered the Philly combo. It came to a hair above $20 and the portions were satisfying. The double steak burger was good in size (double Whopper like) but had that "I could of got that at Wendy's taste". The philly steak and cheese was completely horrible. Probably one of the worst phillys I ever had and yes, it's worse than Rally's. At least Rally's tries to disguise the poor quality meat with seasoning while this place uses better quality meat but it's bland and unsatisfying. The meat was poor, the philly bun was even worse. It was the worst bun I ever had. The cheese was blended/melted with the meat and was decent. (Yes I was eating my daughter's food.) Lets get to the finale..the fries. I challenge anyone to find a restaurant with worse fries. For starters, they weren't even cooked properly. About 10% were too crunchy and barely edible, BUT they were a good portion size which is rare these days in a combo meal. (A point to note out, they serve seasoned fries and they are about the size of McDonalds fries.) If you go here skip the fries and drive to White Castle and add season salt to their fries because that would make your stomach much more happy.

Four words: fries with cheese sauce. Their seasoned fries with a side of cheese is the ultimate in Wreck Your Diet fun! This used to be a regular haunt for my coworkers and I when I worked on this side of town. The ham & swiss is my favorite since the cheese just becomes liquid on the grilled ham! If you go for lunch, be sure to pick up a card to get punched so you can get a discount after so many visits! A word of caution though: if you sit in the dining room, you will smell like it when you leave. The sandwiches are cooked over an open-air griddle so the grease kinda hangs in the air. That doesn't stop the food from being excellent though!

This is NOT a sit down with your spouse and have a romantic dinner place. However, it never pretends to be. It's a working class guy's joint where he can take his family for a quick lunch on the go or a brunch before going out for the day with the family. My family and I stopped in to take advantage of their $1.99 all you can eat pancake special. From the moment you walk in they hide absolutely nothing. From the decor to the ambiance to the prices, it's all right there in the open. They have a cafeteria style ordering system, a huge menu hanging above, and it's very clearly a cross between a fast food joint and your local greasy spoon diner. Love it! We ordered five of the breakfast specials, complete w/drinks and four orders of bacon for a total of about $25. Name one other place in town you can feed a family of five with all you can eat for that price! It didn't take long at all for our orders to come up and we could tell right away that we weren't going to be going back for seconds. The pancakes were fluffy (stack of three) and we got about 16 pieces of bacon. I was expecting the normal 2 pieces per order like at Denny's or something, but this was a plateful of bacon. Now, I judge a restaurant on bacon like I do a burger; it can make or break a restaurant for me. Wendy's has the worst bacon in the world and they should be ashamed that they even have the balls to call what they serve as meat, much less bacon! However, Philly Steak and Fries had great tasting bacon, meaty, not all fat, crispy and flavorful. I've got to say, it was a good breakfast, a good price, wasn't all hoity toity with $15 burgers. They make good food, they make it inexpensively, and they don't try to make it something it's not. I've got to respect that.

I liked it. I had a grilled chicken salad combo. Everything in it was fresh. The side of garlic bread was kind of fast-foodish; it wasn't what I'm used to at better places, but given the type of store and the price, it was acceptable. I thought the price was good for the value served. Dining area and men's room were clean. Pre-packaged ice-cream products available in self-serve freezers. Order at the counter, pay, grab a tray, move down the line, wait at the end, carry your food to your table, grab a soda at the self-serve stand, plastic forks and napkins available at the self-serve stand. It's a national chain, but the decor/atmosphere is noticeably better than most fast food joints. The "Feng Shui" of the place seemed to feel right, as I did not get that oogie/icky feeling I sometimes get at corporate cookie-cutter fast-food joints.

I've never had a real philly cheesesteak in Philly so I guess I'm not the best person to review this place. Either way, I was just dissapointed by the price. I had coupon for $5 off two combos. The thing of it is, one combo is $8.25 which seems pretty pricey for an ultra casual, fast food place. The meat was tasty and the make it there right in front of you. I wasn't sure what to put on mine so I had cheese, onions, mayo, mustard, and banana peppers. I also had cheese fries with it. The thing of it was, I just felt kind of gross afterwards because it was all pretty unhealthy. Honestly, I liked the philly cheesesteaks at Subway better. I was still just so baffled at the price. Even after my coupon it was over $14 for two people for fast food. I highly doubt I'll be back.

This is not an authentic philly steak! I repeat! Not Authentic. If you are looking for Gino's or Pat's, this place is not for you. With that being said. Their sandwiches are excellent. I always get the philly swiss with mushrooms. yum. It's a decent amount of meat in the sandwich. If it is not enough for you, you can always get extra, but keep in mind, you are going to pay for it. My husband gets the regular Philly Cheesesteak with onions. They put provalone on theirs, but he asks them to put the cheese that they use for the cheese fries on it. That is about as close to cheese whiz as you are going to get with them. It is kind of pricey. two regular combo meals with cheese fries for both of us is like 18 bucks. But it is pretty good eats. Saturday morning, they have all you can eat pancakes. I have never been for that though.
