I love this place, been going for years to get the massive gyros. The food is all homemade and tasty. The chicken sandwiches are filled with a chicken breast as big as your head and super juicy. They have a wonderful chicken and rice soup...all homemade! The owner, Nick is always there and the wait staff has always been cordial. Definitely check this place out... they have such a big menu, you'll have to keep going back to try everything... go with an appetite and maybe a friend to help you eat your serving because you get A lot of food!

Every time we are in the area a trip to Paragon for the famous gyro platter is a must on our agenda. Simply the best casual eatery in Indy. It's literally the first place we go when the plane lands.

Not a big fan if this place. My grandparents and I came here and the food wasn't what it was hyped up to be.

Great Food... Better be hungry, you will not walk away hungry!!!

Good gyros clam chowder soup. Seems to be the only place on the westside of Indy to get a good gyro.

Is the homecooked food good? Yes, it's delicious...the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is homey. Now for the reason for 2 stars...I don't know about you, but the smell of dirty dishrags, and the feel of sticky tables, kinda give me the eebie geewies...wish I could get past it, but I can't and so I will let others enjoy their food, without my presence.

so we just left here, they are open today Christmas Day and they were really busy but we were immediately seated. you could tell by the look on the waitresses faces they were under pressure. They have Pepsi products so thats an instant hit with me. They allowed me to order whatever i wanted to, I love breakfast food but i usually prefer it for dinner rather than for breakfast. So I ordered the Fried Pork Chop dinner with mashed potatoes and asked them to leave the gravy off my pork chops. they were thick pork chops and tasty. They didnt have soup ready yet so that was a bummer but it was early so i got salad instead, nothing special, pretty much a bowl of lettuce with a few sliced tomatoes on top. There was no bread ready either but she brought us some sandwich bread instead. It was tough getting refills but they had a few large parties so we just patiently waited. Our check was 24 bucks and we left her 10 bucks tip as we were grateful they were open. The food was pretty decent. Probably some of the best fried pork chops i have had at a restaurant, most places think you can just sling them in a deep fryer and call it a day, those kind are terrible. these were well seasoned as well which i appreciated. everything that came past me looked really good. i will put them to the real breakfast test next time because i am a southerner and nobody in these parts can cook grits correctly so i will check theirs out. We will definitely be back. my friend had the chopped steak dinner and it was pretty big, he barely finished it. he said it was good.

An interesting little family type restaurant. The times I've been there I felt like the closest person to my age, besides the waitress, probably served in WWII, but they seemed to be on to something. Tons of stuff on the menu, and have always like it, especially the breakfast items. Could stand to have a little decor update, but outside of that, great little restaurant.

Great neighborhood restaurant. If you leave hungry it's your own fault. It is a casual family type restaurant. They serve breakfast anytime of day so there is something for everyone no matter what they're in the mood to eat.

This family restaurant is unbeatable. The service is friendly and considerate, the food is awesome and inexpensive and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. There's no such thing as a light meal. Must-try dishes include their unbeatable omelets, gigantic dinner salads, and the wonderful cabbage soup that is their special every Wednesday. The coffee is great, too.

My other half and I met at Paragon yesterday for lunch. I spotted liver and onions on the menu and ordered it. It came with either soup or salad and a side. I choose Wisconsin Cheese Soup and peas as my side. We loved the soup. Nice consistency and flavor. The liver and onions were cooked perfectly. The liver is not chewy at all and well seasoned. The onions had a nice caramelization going on. The peas were kind of bland but not bad. My boyfriend got a sandwich and coleslaw. Don't bother with the slaw. It was lifeless and swimming in sauce. His sandwich was good enough for diner fare. We loved our server. She was great and personable. Very good service.

This is not a fancy place, but my breakfast was amazing! Breakfast foods are my favorite to eat out, and Paragon' Gypsy Skillet is perfect for what I crave! The portion size is perfect, over-easy eggs cooked to perfection, & the hash browns were crispy and not at all greasy. The staff are quick, efficient, & friendly. Great bottomless coffee too! Paragon reminds me of Chicago-area Greek family style restaurants, like another reviewer posted. My server told me the owner is from the Chicago area, owned restaurants there, & relocated here 15(?) years ago. I will try to eat here again before we head back to Chicago!

I had breakfast here on my way out of town. I can't say enough good things about this place. I knew I had arrived when I saw the dessert case front and center- I will return someday for coconut layer cake! The ladies serving everyone here are professional and know how to make anybody feel welcome; really nice folks here. The prices were very reasonable for what you got, which was a mountain of comfort food for breakfast. I had the CFS with a biscuit and it was huge and delicious. The eggs were perfect- I don't think anything phases the cook 'cause it all came out perfectly. They saw me coming- when I asked for a biscuit for my bread choice, our server knew I wanted gravy with that. The traditional "American Breakfast" may be dying as we get more health-conscious but there are still places willing to serve it up and do it right. Paragon is one such place. I just feel bummed that I'm a thousand miles away and can't visit more often, Perhaps that, too, is a blessing since I would soon be in terrible health! :-)

Nick, the owner, always makes you feel right at home. If you haven't been here prepare to explore an extensive menu. Just narrow down the category and go! Of course the yeast rolls will fill you up before you even order. Delish! Good food, reasonably priced, large portions, and usually in & out in 45 minutes. The highlights of positive experience follow. My pick was a Slim & Trim Omelette filled with turkey sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and spinach filled with cheddar cheese. If that's not enough it comes with hash browns and pancakes or bread of your choice. Half came home with me! Not sure how slimming this is with hash browns & pancakes? Sharing a plate is perfect idea here since the portions are large. Very tasty, would order again but not until I've conquered more of the menu. The next entrée, Chicken Breast Marinara with fettuccine noodles covered in Marina Sauce was one of the daily specials. Tender chicken strips, lots of noodles and a perfectly acceptable Marina Sauce. Certainly not spicy for those who detests spicy but crushed red peppers available for those who do. Again, more than half came home with us. Blame it on the rolls! Just 7.99 for dinner and hubby's lunch tomorrow! Service was prompt and friendly. Tonight was our waitress, Katie's', first night with a trainer. She was enthusiastic and just learning the humongous menu. No fear, Nick was just an earshot away to answer any questions. Only fault we experienced was her difficulty working multiple tables. She'll master that in no time. We've all had that first day stumble nevertheless she was handling herself well.

I eat here all the time. Great food and good service. The stuffed peppers are the bomb. Fried chicken is also very good. The owner does a great job of making you feel right at home. Prices are fairly cheap.

Not impressed Came here for breakfast highly recommended. When I came in the door I instantly thought "vintage" but was seated quickly. I had an idea of what I wanted from looking at the menu online so ordered immediately when the waitress came by. The food came out pretty fast. Unfortunately it was not very tasty. I had the Ribeye with egg whites, hashbrowns, and biscuits. The best thing i had was the biscuits, they were nice and soft. The steak had no flavor and was cooked more than I wanted ( asked for medium). the hashbrowns were bland, the eggwhites were watery. Thoroughly unimpressed, maybe they do a better job with pancakes.

Good food! No great food! Fast service! Great waitresses! Although you never want to get the granny to run the register...not very nice and would not honor the sign hanging up stating cheesecake on sale for 3.00! She told the waitress to take the sign down and that she had to charge me full price....that's okay...I'm good...integrity is everything to me!

My family has been frequenting Paragon for years. Always good food, well-done. The service is excellent, even when they are busy, even when we are in a group of twenty. Servings are large, we always take some home and we are big eaters. I love salads, and Nick's greens are always fresh, no preservative chemical taste. This must be more difficult than it seems, because I've picked brown lettuce out of salads at some very expensive restaurants!

Solid diner food, but nothing really stand out. The greek food spin on breakfast was unique but the delivery didn't blow my mind. Solid diner food but just nothing standout about it.

I am so glad that I came across this place on Yelp! They have awesome food! This was my first visit and I can easily say that I'm a fan! When my wife and I walked in we were greeted by the owner. He was a very nice person. In fact, all of the employees were very friendly which made for a very welcoming visit. The service was excellent, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. I ordered the Frisco Melt with fries and my wife ordered the Turkey Melt with fries. Everything was so very delicious! The sandwiches themselves were huge! I look forward to my next visit here. I definitely want to try out their breakfast!

They've been cited for numerous health violations, just as I had expected. They really need to clean things up. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day.

Always a good meal. They have a huge menu with so many choices. They also have a ton of specials. They serve everything you could ever want to eat including breakfast all day. This is always my first choice when being on the west side. I have never had a bad meal and you could never get bored with all the choices. The gyros are my favorite meal.

I love it here. I used to live close by and we went often, but now we don't get there nearly enough. The menu is extensive and everything I had ever had there has been really good. Among my favorites are the gyro platter, the pork chops, the Greek Salad, and the chicken livers. We stopped in at noon, but still decided to get breakfast. I had the chicken fried steak and it came with 2 eggs, 2 biscuits, and hash-browns. Our food came quickly and everything was served hot. The Chicken friend steak was HUGE. It took an entire plate of it's own. I actually got 3 plates of food. It was insane. I ended up bringing most of the steak home. I love going there and Nick the owner is always there and always remembers us! It makes me feel right at home!

Soul food and pie. Old-fashioned diner with a huge menu (I am finding it is a trend with these type of diners - anything from Mexican to Greek to Italian , then add pancakes and breakfast platters). Most people order off Specials or a senior menu anyway. Paragon had me at stuffed green pepper with mashed potatoes - one if those foods better left to professionals. Delicious and lasted me two lunches. My test if a diner - can I get hot tea with honey and extra lemon and water without ice ( something about this combination makes it very hard to achieve...). Score for Paragon. The pies in the cooler were calling but I will have to come back for that...

Biscuits and gravy with cheesy scrambled eggs and hash browns, I ate a quarter of it and was stuffed! It was so delicious though. My boyfriend got the strawberry and banana crepes, holy crêpe!!! These were so flipping amazing. I don't typically like sweet things for breakfast but I'll make sure he gets them every time so I can eat some For 2 people, 2 meals, 3 drinks, only $23. The service and atmosphere was great too!

Paragon is a good place to eat. It is locally owned, and often you will see the owner in there (his name is Nick), so it has the ultimate family restaurant feel to it. Almost every food item on their menu is very good, and they do have an expansive menu at that. A full menu with Breakfast items, Lunch sandwiches, Dinner entrees, and Mediterranean dishes too. I have had the Cheeseburger platter, breaded and grilled tenderloin platters, All-Star Club sandwich, fried chicken, chicken parmigiana, Italian Spaghetti, Belgian waffle, and salads-- all were fantastic! In fact, if I want to go out to eat, yet don't have a good feel for what I want to eat, I often head to Paragon thanks to the expansive menu, and I know I will figure out what to eat. Other things I see ordered frequently-- Beef Manhattans, Gyros, Ruben sandwiches, and breakfast platters. Prices are very reasonable too! It is hard to go wrong here. On Friday there is a promotion where they give out a free desert-- bakalava, piece of cake, or pie-- but you may want to get there early for this one, they do sell out occasionally.

Friendly and fast service. Great variety of food that can suite everyone in a family. You get a huge amount of food so be prepared to have leftovers! Breakfast is the best choice at Paragon - pancakes are yummy! Prices are really affordable.

I came here looking for Greek food...the menu is a little sparse in that area, in my opinion. I'd prefer that my Greek restaraunt have a predominantly Greek menu. Paragon's seemed to be mostly a traditional American diner menu with a few Greek items tossed in. C'est la vie. I had a Greek skillet. It was hash browns, topped with gyro meat, onions, peppers, tomatoes, feta and two eggs cooked to order (scrambled for me.) The food came quickly and was good. Nothing spectacular, but good. The place was clean and about half the tables had people at them prior to noon.

The Paragon is one of my favorite restaurants. It is easy to miss, and I highly suggest that you don't. You will recognize this restaurant as a friendly place as soon as you walk in the door. The food, which is Greek and American, is fantastic - and they provide generous portions. Besides the amount of food you get, the dinner rolls will fill you up before you even get your salad! Try the gyros; they are amazing! The price range is excellent. I had my birthday dinner at The Paragon this year, and for 4 people, we only paid $34.00! This is certainly the best value in the entire city.

How did I live within 10 minutes of this place for 5 years and never hear of it? I am so glad my coworkers talk were talking about it, I decided to check out the menu on the web after looking it over and deciding they had just about everything we headed there for dinner. I had heard the Gyro was really good so thats what I ordered I got the plate with fries and a side (got the split pea soup). The bowl of soup was huge I was expecting a small cup, it was good, not the best but hey it was just the soup. They gave us a basket of rolls and crackers the rolls were excellent. Then arrives what I can only describe as a mountain of food piled on a plate. The Gyro was absolutly enormous, loaded with meat, topped with sliced onion, and tomato slices. On the side, a leaf of lettuce, with feta cubes, olives and some tatziki sauce. I am going to start by saying I had to eat about half the meat with the tatziki before I was going to attempt to pick this up like a sandwich. The best Gyro I have ever had! Didn't touch the fries, shouldn't have ordered them. Anyway I now frequent this place at least once a week, I have tried the reuben, very good, and the fried chicken (worth the wait). Friday night is free dessert, get there early for best selection. The cheesecake is delicious, as is the carrot cake. Definatly a great value and no way to leave hungry unless you don't order. I frequent this place at lunch and usually share a sandwhich platter with a coworker. The service is efficient and the owner is very friendly and welcoming. Our kids love this place too, cant wait to try it for breakfast!

Very friendly staff. Food is so/so...my omelette was slightly on the brown side, but tasted fine. I'm giving 4 stars based on the friendliness of the staff and quickness of service. Don't expect to have a 5 star meal

This is our local, go-to place for the day off breakfast. All the food is good, a the Hoosier omelet is perfection.

If you are greeted at the front door by a nice man telling you what the specials are you, should try them. I know ham and beens aren't the typical Greek menu item you were thinking of, but I was impressed. Not too thick and not too soupy.

It seems like I say this a lot, but expectations are pretty important. If you just paid $15 for steak and eggs I'm pretty sure it isn't going to be on par with the $35 ribeye from St. Elmo's. Make sense? Paragon is a great little diner serving delicious food (or at least breakfasts, as that's all I've come here for) at a reasonable price. The portions are generous, the food is filling, and the service is quick and friendly. I've always had at least some leftovers when leaving here, which makes for a great second meal later. They also have a lot of variety on the menu, although not always a ton of choices in each category. But even so I'm sure pretty nearly anyone can find something on the menu that sounds yummy. This is not fine dining, it isn't top notch, and lots of items aren't made in house (like desserts and probably some side dishes). Don't come here expecting French Laundry. Instead, come here expecting lots of hot, down home food - the kind of food that makes truckers and farmers happy.

We live around the corner and Paragon is a Friday night staple. Breakfast can't be beat. Friday nights are huge with the free deserts (winning) and you can't go wrong with any of the salads. (The buffalo Chicken Salad--so good.) Nikky is so sweet, always knows us by name and seats us with a smile. It's not Ruth Chris..but it's Paragon and we love it.

Located in a mini mall setting at the far end, if you didn't know it was there you might miss it. There menu is so extensive that if you want, they will have it. Plus you get so much food, you will take some home with you. The quality of the food is great as is the service. The building itself is nothing special, but the food more then covers that problem.

Over 300 menu choices plus daily specials. The evening we went there was an overwhelming bug spay smell.

Great value! You get a good deal of food for the money. The owner and his wife seem like they are always there, and they are very hospitable.
