I'm currently sitting here and eating my meal, but I'm so disappointed with the service they gave me! Nothing like it used to be. I stood in front of the salad when two people were chatting it up and then she didn't hear me correctly, started mixing my dressing in and when I asked her if they changed dressings for my salad she said "this is what you get with the ceaser" I replied that I wanted the southwest chicken ceasar and she asked if she could just add the other dressing to what she'd already mixed!!! WHAT?!? Horrible. And one of the guys smelled like he'd just run a half marathon and had the worst B.O. Made me almost lose my appetite. Ugh!

Unfortunately, the other reviews said it all. This location is not someplace we'll likely return to. The soup was cold. They were out of several types of cookies... But the cookies were awesome as always, especially coconut chocolate chip.

I tried giving them multiple chances, but this place has gone down hill fast. Most recently, we stood at the counter for over five minutes with numerous employees walking past us until eventually, all of the employees were in the back. Nothing. Nada. No service for over a minute until one of them peeked through the window of the door and asked if we needed a sandwich ordered. Why else would we stand there? We continued the order process as per usual, but were given a snotty attitude the entire time. Paying for the order (we always do the You Pick Two menu), we were wrongly charged as the cashier had no idea how to interpret the ticket. We once loved this place, but my, how the mighty have fallen. Best of luck, Paradise.

First time ever I have gone and I will definitely be back. The staff were very friendly and patient even though they were busy, it was very clean, they had free wifi, the food and coffee was great. The manager was very professional, and really great working with my spice allergy. She was able to tell me offhand exactly what I had to avoid. Great service, great atmosphere, great food. What's not to love?!

after reading the recent reviews, I have decided I didn't make a wrong decision by not going back to Paradise Bakery for a year. Terrible service, food sub standard and long waits in the line. Too bad. They were good in the beginning a few years ago. Parent company isn't watching or doesn't need the money.

I've been to this location a few times in recent years, and to the downtown location when it first opened (2006-ish). The food (lunch, at least) is overpriced given this is an "order your food at the counter" type of restaurant and that it's basically just deli sandwiches, pre-made soup, etc. Their cookies are decent but, again, overpriced ($1.40 for a mid-sized cookie). . . and I'm not sure what the heck they're made with, but each cookie (and, keep in mind, they're medium-sized-- not those large cookies other places sell) has around 250-300 calories, according to the internet.

My mom and I came here because we were on our way to Castleton Mall and we like the Paradise Bakery in Carmel. After we walked in, we were informed that this location closes at eight instead of nine, even though the website says it's open until nine. So we had unknowingly walked in a few minutes before close. Some of the employees were irritated that we were there, and they didn't bother hiding it. We ordered soups and sandwiches, and we got our soup promptly. We had to walk over to the espresso area's register because they had already closed out the regular register. We stood at the espresso register for several minutes, awkwardly holding our trays, before someone bothered to come over and ring us up. Meanwhile, our soup was getting cold. We finally sat down and ate our soup, and my mom's sandwich was delivered to our table. I finished my soup, which was decent, and waited some more. Still had not received my sandwich. I went up to the counter and started to politely ask if my sandwich was being made, which it clearly wasn't. An irritated employee told me, "He's making it right now." I waited at my table some more while a female employee cast dark glances in my direction. Finally, someone flounced over with the wrong sandwich, plopped it onto the table, and said flippantly and with no trace of sincerity, "Sorry about the wait." I was starving, so I ate the sandwich, but it was drowning in some sort of ranch sauce and did not even resemble a tomato mozzarella sandwich. I talked to a heavily-tattooed manager about my experience, and he apologized. I nicely asked for a refund on my sandwich, and he said the system would not allow him to do that, but that he would write down my name and the next time I came in, I could get a free meal. So he wrote down my name and number, and if I ever return, I'll have a free sandwich. His courteous manner is the reason I'm giving this restaurant two stars instead of one. I hasten to add that I was very polite to all the employees - I wasn't one of those rude customers looking for an excuse to be upset. I hope that this was just an off night for these folks.

My main two reasons for giving them a one star since I can't give zero stars is the place is filthy and the employees are awful. They are slow and unfriendly The only thing here that is consistent is the dirtiness of every area of this place. I have stopped on many times and it's always the same, I'm done with this location.

The cookies are wonderful. The service is so terrible-it's laughable this location is still open. On my in house to go order, I asked for a lentil bowl with egg (asked about it 3x) and 6 reg. sizes cookies and 2 of each Chipper cookies. I was charged for but not given any of the chipper cookies. No one greeted me, I was in there and no one cared to pay attention to my order nor be looking to even see me standing at either. Counter. I left 4 cookies short with my lentil Bowl leaking out of the bag because no one cares to actually put the lid on a soup. Came home with soup in my car, missing cookies and feeling taken advantage of. knit wit teens working there couldn't care less. Please train and test your employees. I would have had better service from toddlers-it is offensively bad staff, product, service here.

This is my second time at PBC in the last 10 days and each visit has been disappointing.... It's not clean and the service is not the best... (One person can ruin it for everyone!) I'm not one to complain, but when the food is just 'ok' I would hope the people providing the service would be fantastic Guess I won't be coming back!

5.99 for a smoked turkey sandwich with 3 slices of turkey and a slice of lettuce... Literally that's it, not even mustard. Fool me once Paradise! Cookies are good though but that won't save you.

I like this place for years. Recently, it's kind of sad that their menu became pretty much the same as Panera bread. I guess it was purchased by Panera. Anyway I got their close to their closing time. Ordered chicken Cobb salad which I usually eat at Panera. Was told the no more bacon so I asked corn instead . Became original salad with Southern accent . :) Good choice. Didn't forget to get their box of mini cookies.

Same menu as Panera with fancier presentation. I love the Fuji apple salad.

Every time I have come to this Paradise- all of the pastas are cold. I ordered the Mac and cheese the other day and the noodles were still frozen and the sauce was lukewarm. Very unappetizing. The staff is bad. They're normally standing around socializing while you're trying to get your food. I will not be coming back.

Paradise is always a good choice when you're looking for a sandwich, soup, salad, or any combination of the three. Although owned by the same parent company as Panera, I much prefer the choices at Paradise. There's a depth of flavor and attention to detail that Panera simply doesn't have. A must try is the Fire Roasted Tomato soup, a hearty soup topped with sour cream and tortilla strips if you desire. Sandwich choices are always good, and the vegetarian option with roasted red pepper is hard to eat but has great flavor. And the free chocolate chip cookie that comes with them is delicious. In fact, all of their baked goods are a step above Panera in my opinion. The oatmeal cookies are particularly good. Also, if you have the need to cater an event, Paradise is always a hit. Great food, free cookies, and good service, coupled with very generous catering points bonus for those who sign up for a free a Paradise Catering card. So if you need a quick bite and want to get something that at least technically could be healthy if you make the right choices and skip the cookie, then Paradise is the place to be.

Going here you get exactly what you expect - a yummy soup and salad. Each time i go I get their seasonal soup/salad. Getting a half salad is plenty - so calm down if you are thinking of going for the full salad. It is a great atmosphere for a good conversation. They always have coffee ready for you and a great assortment of teas and soda. They say they are "famous for their cookies" but I never eat them..i'm sure they aren't lying - but I don't need those extra calories. So..guess you'll have to find out for me and let me know!

Its Saturday morning, I have been in town for a week setting up an apartment for my wife, and now we are purchasing a bed to have delivered before we leave town. I am TIRED, and I NEED COFFEE. What is this strange Paradise Bakery? I live near a bakery at home and I love to go there... yay, what an option to try something new and possibly local! I walk in.... I look around... OMG did I walk in the wrong door... I didn't see a Panera sign.... but I don't hear the classical music, well, I see where I would go to order coffee... lets get a latte, I don't see a pastry I want. While I'm waiting for my coffee I look around. I have been to Panera recently and let me tell you... everything is the same. I mean the menu items are presented in the same order with the same names and the same photos. I don't even know how you could say that this place gives you different options because the one review that mentioned it was talking about the current seasonal salad at Panera. Okay, so it is a Panera with a different name. I mean Rallys... Checkers... right? The weirdest thing is that Indy has Panera restaurants. I just don't know what kind of twilight zone this is. However, when all is said and done.... the service was good, the coffee was good, and I made it the 12 hours back to NOLA without crashing the car. I can't complain.

Super slow and overpriced for what you get. For the 'Hickory Smoked Bacon', I'm pretty sure they are trying to pass of the bacon McDonald's uses on their breakfast sandwiches. The food quality overall seems to be poor compared to the pricing. Ended up being over $9 for some shitty coffee, scrambled (and gray) eggs, toast, and the aforementioned bacon. I've had cookies from here before, and they were decent. Maybe the store should stick to only making bakery items. And yes, I know I swore to never eat here again in a previous review, but I decided to give them another shot.

As a vegan it's a little more complicated ordering from a menu at restaurants. Instead I just plainly asked for a bagel with hummus, avocado, lettuce, and tomato. It's not necessarily on the menu, but we're more than happy to give me what I asked for. Very patient and happy to serve. A+ customer service.

Oh, this is actually Panera? Indeed, it's Panera in a new package. Same fattening food, boring salads and bland soups. To make matters worse, the employees at this location didn't know how to wrap our sandwich and then bickered about it or 5 minutes while I stood there waiting. NEVER AGAIN!

Every time I graduate from a higher education institution (and this weekend made time number three) I get a carrot cake. It is my thing. Chocolate cake, yellow cake, sure...those are nice. But carrot cake and I have a relationship. And it's long standing. So this time around I was in search of a decently priced carrot cake and Paradise fit the bill on short notice. And man, let me just say, how stellar was this carrot cake? SOOO GOOD. Thick, chunky with walnuts, sweet but not too sweet cream cheese icing and even a personalized message on top. They get two thumbs up for awesomeness...or rather five stars in this case.

I went here to just grab a quick salad and was greatly disappointed. The employee, Heather, was EXTREMELY rude to me. When I told her I have not been helped yet she rolled her eyes and then proceeded to make my salad. The ENTIRE time she was slowly making my salad she was talking to another employee about how terrible the work conditions were there. I am a General Manager of a hotel and this customer service is the worst I have ever witnessed. I was so dissrespected I can't believe I actually took the salad. This is the first time ever that I have wrote a review about an establishment and they better believe management will be recieving a call from me. Absolutely terrible.

I ate the Southwest Chicken Salad. It had torilla chips -- different and good. Probably not enough grilled chicken for the amount of lettuce so I needed more than one container of dressing. I was not as excited as my friend about her delicious cookie. Added visit to my frequent eater club with Paradise.

I think this place is a lil better than Panera Bread. They have a lot of good sandwich, soup and salad options. The strawberry with poppy seed dressing and chicken I had was refreshingly delicious! The steak panini was delish. Their chocolate chip cookie was good and they have a fresh brewed sweet tea!!! Yum!!!

Had the Italian Combo sandwich. A decent and filling sandwich, but made with common coldcuts. A simple sandwich one could easily make at home--kinda bland. The cookies at Paradise are great however, some of the best in the area. Love the milk chocolate chip/coconut.

Long story short: it's just a tad classier Panera with healthier options... with a wild bonus cookie that appears. Items bought: -Albacore Tuna Sandwich -Clam Chowder -Bonus: Free Chocolate Chip Cookie -Sandwich: For once in my life, I bought an item that actually looked like the description picture. You know how all those fast-food chains have these delicious looking burgers, and then you receive a flat, soggy, not so appealing burger? Not this time, the blown up picture of the sandwich on the wall actually looked identical to my sandwich, much to my surprise. Maybe this was a fluke, but it was nice to see that my sandwich looked appealing. On the taste spectrum, if you had "full flavor" on one side, and "healthier option" on another, it would be fairly close to the middle, but favoring the healthier option by just a little. But overall, the sandwich was pretty good. -Soup: The Clam Chowder is pretty good I must say, and it was healthy serving, a "cup" seemed like a small bowl. It was nice and creamy, very smooth. Not watery, nor overly buttery/oily. The only thing I'd say is that I wish the potato bits were a bit larger. -Bonus Cookie: It was free, so I'd say I'm a little biased here. It comes included with your "meal". It was actually a pretty decent cookie, nice and soft, and full of decent sized chocolate chips. Pros: -Good food and what seems like all from scratch -healthier option than a Panera in my opinion (but only if you want it to be), and, -Nice ambience, has a "home" like feel. -Nice staff -When you're done, you can get up & just leave, you don't have to "put your dishes away", so to speak. Cons: Slightly more expensive than Panera (I think I spent ~$12-14 on myself?) -Though they're nice, some staff don't know the difference between whole wheat bread & multi-grain bread. I asked what bread the Albacore Tuna had, she told me whole wheat. It was a white bread, multi-grain.

The first time I went was a great experience. the floors were sticky but other than that, I enjoyed it. I will have meetings at this location. good atmosphere for knitting groups to meet. Comfortable seating and plenty of it.

I really like the Paradise Cafe and Bakery. I frequently get salad, and the ingredients are always tasty and fresh. The sandwiches are pretty good, too. And the cookies -- yum!

This place is great. Everytime I'm in town, I try to go here for lunch. I haven't been disappointed so far. And to top it all of, you get a cookie with your entree!
