Healthy Meal suggestions for Outback Steakhouse

Not anything new, & yes it is a chain... However it is very close to home and the food is consistently good. The service has always been above average on our trips. Expect to wait on Fridays and Saturdays, they do offer call ahead seating! The recently opened for lunch... I suggest signing up for text offers, I usually get some kind of promo text once a month and they are usually for free appetizers!

Let me start by saying that Outback is my favorite, and I do mean---- FAVVVORITE place to eat..... I am yelping now about Greenwoods Outback because this is the 3rd time I've had a pretty 'mediocre' (being kind right now!) experience! It's as if they don't have enough people working- and the people that are working - don't really help one another - so the customers wait and wait and wait....... Training and new management is needed, I'm convinced that good leadership results in extraordinary results.... And this Outback needs it! Tonight's review is written because... Appetizer didn't come for over 20 min, only to be told, they were out of buffalo chicken dip- thanks for letting us sit there that long! The manager was less than helpful- only to apologize - The rest of the dinner was alright, nothing spectacular... I go to Outback at least 1x per month, and the experience at the Greenwood one is always - alright to poor.... Never had an amazing experience there I hope they turn this place around ... Soon!

There's usually a wait at this location, but at lunchtime you can easily snag a table. Service in the bar was friendly and fast.

Our party of 8 had dinner Monday night. We had to wait several minutes to be accommodated. When our table was set up which comprised of a 6 people booth with a small table at the end, we passed a table of 8 being prepared for a call in of 8. Seniors sitting in a 6 person booth is not easy! I feel we should have taken priority over a call in group as I didn't think reservations were accepted at this restaurant. Food was ok, but not the quality I have received in the past. I feel bigger parties cannot be accommodated very well here.

Being over 21 and having no kids pays off in the bar area where it is first come, first serve at the tables surrounding the bar. We went on a Wednesday night and it was busy due to the Wednesday night they have been offering. We had not been to this location in close to a year, for no particular reason other than there are so many great options out there. We were happy with the service, the food and pricing.

My family and I went here for dinner lastnight, my wife and I haven't been there for at least 7-10 years...forgot how really good they are! As long as this place have been around its still well kept up with, very clean! Great and friendly staff and the food was excellent! We got the chicken on the Barbie with all you can eat shrimp, it was all very tasty! Needless to say we will not wait as long the next time to eat here!

Pack up some snacks when you come here BC you'll wait for a long time. 35min. wait to our table... Which is normal. My family and I waited for 15 min and nobody has even acknowledge us and no drink orders/bread. My toddler was very hungry by then (1 hour of waiting), so I had to get up from the table and hunt down the manager on duty to get some service! Sure we got some discounts on our tab for the wait, but they clearly need to hire more staff. I'm laid back and I used to wait tables, but this whole experience was nerve racking with poor excuses. Mediocre food, mediocre service, and overpriced food. Won't be coming back.

I haven't been to Outback in a while; and let me say it's no Texas Roadhouse. Today I asked for my steak well done/not burnt. It came out medium rare. I had it sent back and the manager very kindly brought it back and made sure it was to satisfaction. They also brought me another ton of starch... Anyhow, the waitress was outstanding. I had the outback special. I also didn't care for the salad. Overall, I was satisfied though. We got to our seat with zero wait. It wasn't busy at all though.

Used to be my favorite chain restaurant. I used to be able to get amazing salmon, every single time. In the 4 years that we have frequented this location, the quality has disappeared. I don't think this is a management issue, food quality issues usually come from the top. I swear the last piece of salmon I ordered from there was frozen. The salad was so wilted and disgusting, I couldn't eat it. And please please please don't serve dead potatoes. We gave them 3 last shots before I promised my boyfriend we would never ever go again and plop down $70 for dishes we could cook better at home for half the money. It disappoints me terribly to have to leave this low of a review. I still leave 2 stars because the creamy onion soup is and has always been amazing, even on our last stop.

Food is not to my liking and kids didn't finish either. If not for the gift card, I wouldn't have been happy paying this kind of money.

The recent ad on TV drew us in. It was very deceptive. The meal shown in the ad is not the same meal offered for the advertised price. My steak was horribly undercooked, so I ask that it be recooked. It came back cooked to the right temperature, but had been seared so hard that it was extremely dry. Even steak sauce didn't help. My coconut lobster was more breading than lobster, and the breading kept falling off, and was undercooked. I told the server about the steak, but nothing was done, and I never saw a manager. You'd think a STEAKHOUSE would know how to cook a steak. Spent too much money on a very mediocre meal.

Every time I get curbside to go my order is missing something! Three tines in a row even after I asked for a manager to check the order!

The staff is very friendly and the service was quick but the food is less than average and expensive.

This was one of the best meals I've had at an Outback. We arrived on a Friday evening. They had a 45 minute wait, but quickly got a table in the bar. My husband and I both ordered the prime rib. It was cooked perfect and had excellent flavor. I had the fresh steamed vegetables. Again, perfectly steamed.

My hubs is a steak and potatoes kind of guy. So when he wants to go out someplace nicer than the nearest drive-thru we usually go to a steakhouse. Outback is probably our mutual favorite. For our appetizer we tried the new spinach and artichoke dip. Damn. Had we been in private we probably would have fought over who got to lick the plate clean. I kind of wish it came with pita bread instead of the bread it was served with, but the dip itself was fantastic. The steaks are always good. This time we went we both got the Outback Special. His was cooked perfectly and mine was *almost* perfect. Closer to medium well than the medium I ordered. But it was so juicy and flavorful I didn't even care. The broccoli I had for a side was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The potato soup was tasty as well. As usual, we didn't have room for desert. But that's not really a complaint.

Outback Steakhouse multiple FAIL. Got salad, no silverware. Sit there like a fool for several minutes. Ask for more bread, didn't get. Steak was burnt, not medium, so sent it back. Gave me free bowl of soup while I waited. Woo, hoo. If I wanted soup, I would've ordered soup. Gayle ate and finished her entire meal before my replacement steak came out. It still wasn't very good...overseasoned...half was med rare, other half med well...most difficult ribeye steak I've ever cut into. Dull knife? Maybe, but I don't think so. Also came on smaller plate than Gayle's, making it that much more difficult to cut up. I asked why, and it was because I only had one side...she had 2. Had lemonade to drink...drank it while waiting on 2nd steak...some other server comes by and fills my glass with water before I can get the words out of my mouth that it wasn't water. This is the 2nd straight time we've been there and it not be very good. Not going back.

Outstanding Butchers Cut ribeye tonight. Service was fantastic. Got right in and seated since we called ahead.

I did carryout a few nights ago and will probably not do it again without serious consideration. The food was cold by the time I made my 10 minute drive home to the point I had to warm it back up. Perhaps investing in some higher quality to go containers that seal the food better would help this.

Outback is always delicious and the service is great. We got the steak with all-you-can-eat shrimp. The steak was cooked perfectly. If you are really craving shrimp, I would not recommend getting the all-you-can-eat. The shrimp were small and you only got 5-6 at a time. It was good, though. If you are just wanting some yummy steak and shrimp, absolutely get it.

Great place. I have been here many, many times. Good steaks. Great bread. Their caesar salad dressing is really good, too. You almost always will have a wait, but I think it is usually worth it. Bloomin' onions are wonderful. Can't complain there.

Good food as always. Always get the Prime Rib, potato soup, and mashed potatoes. We usually sit at the bar, so little or no wait, quick service, and no screaming children.

Visited Outback for my dad's birthday this week. What a terrible experience. The service was awful, steaks were tough. I had something floating in my drink and took almost the entire meal to track down our server. The manager did offer free desserts for our trouble, but really we just wanted a good meal with good service. The past 3 times we have been to this location the food has been just okay. Outback used to be my favorite but not any longer. They are riding on their name from the years when the food and service was excellent. Hopefully they get back to that soon before it is too late.

Nothing special but the food is good and the staff is nice. The salmon is very good here. The steaks seem to be dried out every time I order.
