This is our go-to date night for me and my boyfriend. They are usually busy and have a wait on the weekends but that is expected. On a couple different occasions, our server was busy with other tables so another server would help out by taking our drink and appetizer orders. Shows good team work! The food is always great. They are very generous and always offer drinks to go as well as fresh breadsticks to take home with us! Love this place!

I don't care what your hangups are about chains. If you say Olive Garden isn't delicious for the soup/salad/breadsticks meal, then you are a liar. "It's not real Italian food." Dudes, I feel you. I feel like a terrible person when I forget my reusable bags for the grocery store. I order my coffee from California. I get it. But Olive Garden is delicious and cheap when you want to chow down on some salad and soup.

I will never understand the allure of this place, especially when there are FAR superior choices for Italian around. The food just isn't good. I ended up eating here twice recently due to business functions. The first time left me nauseous (I did get sick later that night but, in fairness, it could have been caused by something else) and the second time left me speechless. The soup was luke warm and the pasta seemed reheated. I'm giving it 2 stars simply because the service was at least decent. Otherwise, there just isn't any reason to choose this chain over other far superior choices (none of which I'm affiliated with on any level).

Olive Garden!!! It is what is is. It's fairly quick, fairly cheap, Italian style food. It's good food for the price and it's a nice environment, albeit a chain restaurant. This particular OG is clean, and the service is good. I have been here several times and have never had an issue with the servers, host, or quality of the food. The layout is a little different than most Olive Gardens. There is a large, lower section of dining that I am going to coin "The Dining Pit". The bathrooms are on the west side of the Dining Pit.

We had a really good trip here, however we found it all depends on the waiter/ waitress you get. about 1/10 of their servers are good, however if you get the 9/10 you will be in for a poor meal. It's an interesting restaurant probably one of the only ones I have never seen a manager at after all the times I have been here.

Service was great. Megan E. was awesome and made our night enjoyable. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Hope to have her as our waitress next time we stop in.

The only reason I ever go here is someone else begs to go or I have a gift card. Moving forward, I think I'd rather pay for someplace good than get a free lunch that's blah. To be fair, the lasagna was actually pretty good and the salad was fresh. However, service sucked, breadsticks were stale, and you're surrounded by a million obese people stuffing facefuls of unlimited soup and breadsticks. Not the best atmosphere. With local gems like Iozzo's, Iaria's, Sangiovese, and Augustino's, no reason to ever go to the OG.

Olive Garden is a chain restaurant...it's one of my favorite chains to eat at. When I usually come, I just get the all you can eat soup and salad. It just always sounds amazing. I love their salad period, it's that Italian dressing they put on it, it's pretty addicting to me. Their breadsticks are soft with enough butter and salt on it. They do have many great entrees like their trio sampler. I do like their chicken Marsala. You def can't go wrong with soup and salad, it's all you can eat! In the evening, they give you a sample of wine if you would like to try it.

ALWAYS A CASTLETON AREA FAVORITE Sometimes a parking lot says a lot (no pun intended). For a chain restaurant, this particular Olive Garden really gets it. In an industry that suffers 100% turnover each year, this Darden location can boast managers and servers -- AND CUSTOMERS -- who have been around for years. So, like tonight, when we weren't sure where we wanted to grab a bite, we opted for this well-run Castleton-area favorite whose parking lot is always full when others are empty. (Sorry Applebee's.) One drawback: no TV at the bar to check headlines or scores.

Server: Dujuan My fiancé and I say in the bar. It took our server 5 minutes to acknowledge us, even though he was standing at an empty table next to ours, not doing anything but looking around. He then after the five minutes said, "I'll be with you in a few minutes" and walked away. No sorry about your wait... In fact, no apology at all. Even worse the 7 servers I counted in the server station were all ignoring our table and the 2 people sitting at the bar that followed us in. I'm sorry, but as a person in food service, I'd be ashamed of my team for the lack of teamwork... And as a manager, my staff in general. Then we finally ordered drinks about 10 minutes after sitting down. 15 minutes in, ordered an app, soup, and salad.... (Only good part of our visit and about the time the server noticed I was displeased already and started hovering to make sure that everything was ok) then a sad looking lasagna frita display came out (shame on both the kitchen and runner for dropping that mess of at a table, no matter how delicious it was.) Ordering our entrée's should have been easy enough to get the food requested... However.... My entree was not how it should have been. Ziti pasta with Alfredo and spicy diavolo sauce... Not too hard. Pasta and 2 sauces. I got ziti with crushed red pepper and tomatoes... No sauce at all, no marinara to make it diavolo (which I thought was a cream based sauce based on my previous jobs and experience...) and no Alfredo in sight ( which on the check it says I ordered Alfredo.... Hmmm) and the server noticed and brought out sauce.... Only "redeeming factor" towards my opinion of him... It tasted.... Meh.... Desert... Chocolate mouse cake...thank god it's pre made... Also, a side note... Darden Restaurant managers that I've known and worked for, great tables when they aren't swamped with problems... The manager not once said hello to any tables in the bar... And meandered around sound nothing but adjusting the thermostat... This visit was an EPIC FAIL! I'll never be returning to this restaurant again... (Location... Not the chain)

Terrible excuse for Italian food. Bland sauces, overcooked seafood, and boring salad. I cater lunches for work, and from time to time they request Olive Garden. This is always a dreaded day for me, but I have tried a multitude of their dishes. I have yet to taste one that I would even describe as okay. I guess it is what it is...just another chain restaurant that pleases the typical American underdeveloped palette. I'll pass. There is much, much better Italian food in Indianapolis, although that wouldn't take much. Drive on down the street to Sangiovese or Maggiano's...it is worth the few extra $$.

Why is this place still open? Seriously! You would think that after making national news about making an entire restaurant full of customers AND employees sick by not washing hands after using public restrooms (or washing hands at all) by the employees, AND being shut down by the Marion County Health Department, the Indiana State Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control, that people would have enough GOD GIVEN SENSE to not go back to that place. I will say this, in all fairness, the one time I ate there before this whole disaster came about I received the most attentive and thorough service I had ever received to that point in any restaurant, but it was an isolated event. The service is below average here. Instead, the OG nearest to my house on W. 38th Street closed (but more b/c they just sucked at everything and the neighborhood went to pot.)

4 of us went here for Mother's Day. We normally dont go to Chains, but everywhere was packed and OG just had a 20 min wait. We arrived at about 1:30. It was super busy but worth the wait. 2 out 4 of us were leery to eat at OG but I wanted to give it another try. Buca had no openings. Some Guys didnt open til 4:00. Bravo was lined up too. Mama Corollas was closed. Anyway, the food was GREAT! Every one of us loved what we ordered. Split the smoked mozz fonduta app. It was awesome. Our entrees were Lasagne, Seafood Alfredo, Spag w meatballs, and Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo. All nice and hot, ample sized servings, and nice presentation. We each had endless salad and breadstix. All this for $70. Gave our great server, Robin M a $20 tip. We each had plenty of leftovers to take home. Kudos to Olive Garden at Castleton for such a great meal on such a crazy-busy day. Would recommend THIS Olive Garden and go back again!

This so far is my favorite Olive Garden. We like to sit at the bar so we can eat and enjoy the game. For the most part we have always had GREAT service. Even on a busy weekend, it is better service than at a table. The only down side to at the bar is no tasting. So if you live for that shot of free wine, than the bar is not for you. I can do without the wine. One of my favorite bartenders is Derrick. He is attentive but not all in your face when you eat. He does a great job in making sure you have what you need...soup, bread sticks, extra dressing, extra olives and such. We dine at OG at least 2-3 times a month. Can't say no to the soup and citrus chicken sorrento. It is my current fav meal, but OG please bring back the Moscato apricot chicken. That was hurtful when you pulled it from the menu.

If you're not feeling too hungry I don't think you need an appetizer because the unlimited salad/breadsticks will fill you right up. The salad is rather salty though with lots of dressing. Breadsticks were really good! The chicken and gnocchi soup was on the salty side with few gnocchi. The soup base was almost too creamy. Soups seem to be the only decently caloried items. Other pastas and appetizers were okay, but lots of fried, buttery "Italian" cooking. For a meal that's on the cheap side but still filling, props to Olive Garden.

This Olive Garden served raw food! I went in there with my father we ordered the Tour of Italy with Chicken Parm. It arrived to the table and when my father cut into it, it was extremely rubbery and hard to cut. He took a bite to see, and it was raw. He showed our waiter, who agreed that it was and immediately apologized and went to get another piece of chicken, which was microwaved. I do not recommend this place! Beware.

Olive Garden is a staple in American Italian food. It's a place for special occasions or to celebrate. When I was growing up we couldn't afford Olive Garden on a regular basis so we only came when there was something special going on. (For example: birthday, anniversary, straight a report card etc). Now that I have grown up and have a family of my own I can understand what my mom went through as a single mom. It is a fantastic restaurant with amazing food and pretty decent service. But there is a HUGE push on alcohol. They give you a alcohol special menu, free wine samples, and they even say what wine complements their meals. Really?? Come on Olive Garden we want to raise children who don't think it's ok to leave restaurants drunk and then drive home. I just don't understand the worlds push on alcohol. Anyway.... Food great, service good, family atmosphere poor, very poor!!! Price---- ehh it's better than it used to be!!

The food is very typical Americanized Italian food. They need to step up the service, our waitress wasn't what I expect from a restaurant like Olive Garden.

What a disappointment! We came for a nice dinner. We got a server who had no idea what all was on the menu. Also, they have implimented a new table top tablet ordering device for drinks, appetizers, etc as well to pay. The server was more focused on using that instead of just writing it down and putting it in herself. When we tried to pay with this computer thing it was only showing the appetizer. If we weren't honest we would have walked out without paying for our meals. I don't see us returning.

We went here because I had a gift card. The restaurant itself was very nice. The waiter was friendly. Our salad and breadsticks were really good but our main entrees were horrible. The steak was chewy and my pasta was overcooked. Won't likely go back again.

The food was great. I ordered the chicken gnocchi soup and the tour of italy. But the most surprising this was the service was amazing. We ate at the bar and were waited on by Lori the bartender. She was both professional as well as pleasant. Her attention to detail ensured our every need was taken care of. Cudos to Lori and the Olive Garden.

Nothing special. The food was as should be expected. The wait staff was less than friendly. The wait time was unacceptably long. We were there for exactly one hour when our food finally arrived at our table. I can't really say stay away, but I can't exactly recommend it, either.

This is by far the worst Olive Garden in the area. The food here is disgusting and the staff are so rude. I hate coming to this Olive Garden and avoid coming here at all times. Wish I could give it zero stars....

Olive Garden continues to be my favorite Italian restaurant. The food is always very good, and the restaurant is very clean. They got their act together after they were shut down by the health department. The food is always fresh, and the menu never changes. There is usually a specialty menu, which is what I usually order from. These meals only last a month or so, but they are always very good. The parking lot is always full in the evenings, I have had to park in the lot behind the restaurant a few times. It may even be better to just park in Applebee's parking lot, because it always seems empty even on the weekends. They usually tell me a 45 minute wait, but it rarely is longer than 25.

Service was great, but I received food that was not cooked properly. I had the Capellini di Mare, and 3-4 pieces of my shellfish had not opened when it was served to me.

I grew up in Orlando where Darden is headquartered, seems they perform really well down there. This location really lacks on the service aspect, takes quite a while for everything from the waiter to even acknowledge you to waving him/her to bring the check. The whole process on the customer service side was very frustrating. As far as the food it was pretty bland, the bread sticks were lukewarm at best so sent them back for some piping hot ones. I've been here on two separate occasions and just a lackluster performance, very disappointing to have one of my favorite chain restaurants perform so poorly.

It's predictable. No different than any other olive garden. Waitress was a little annoying.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
