As a stand alone Thai place, it's good. Decent pricing, ambiance is good and the wait staff is friendly and unobtrusive. That said, it's a couple buildings down from Thai Spice, which is priced similarly with slightly better food. They do pack you in like sardines at Thai Spice, though, and you feel rushed (at least I do, but that may be my urge to avoid people). So, if you're in it for the food-skip this place and eat elbow-to-elbow with the many at Thai Spice, but if you want a decent meal in a relaxed atmosphere, go here. Side note-the pineapple fried rice is just not as good here, so if that's your desire, definitely go to Thai Spice!!

Absolutely fantastic! I walked in about 45 minutes before closing, which I hate to do because I know how it feels to be on the other end. Regardless, they were welcoming and attentive. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, heat level 1...cuz I'm a wuss. It had great flavor. I think a 2 would be perfect, just enough sting without flavor suffering. The whole dish was about $12 and I came home with half of it...so not a bad deal. The restaurant is bright, warm, and inviting. I can't say enough good things about this place. Nutshell: Super fast, flavorful food and a great service. Bonus tip: They close at 9pm during the week and 10pm on weekends. Unfortunately I didn't grab all the times to share with all you yelpers.

Always a pleasure to dine here. Service is always friendly and so far we have always received our food quickly. Love the crispy egg rolls and the appetizer sampler and the Padd Thai. While the exterior is very plain and not very inviting, the inside of this place is beautiful and elegant.

A nice Thai restaurant in Greenwood with big portions as well as fast, friendly, and attentive service. The chicken pad thai had good flavor and I loved their Thai iced coffee! My only very small complaint is that our table was sticky, but honestly that wouldn't stop me from coming back. I'd definitely eat here again!

Meals not only taste good but look good. Have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed! Chef goes through extra effort to make a good presentation as well. Fresh ingredients, good portions, flavorful. Pad Kee Mao and fresh spring rolls are my usual choices, and My Thai does them very well. I would highly recommend!

Love their pineapple rice & the green curry is to die for. The staff is always friendly.

Only being able to compare this to one other place I lovingly call my 'introduction to the fineness that is fountain square eats', I thought this place was great. The lunch specials were cheap, fast, and excellent. My friend and I both enjoyed our meals. Their vegetable soup made me want to take a quart to go. We both got medium spiciness and it was definitely at least a notch above that, if not two. If you want medium go with mild. I can't wait to go back with the work crew.

Love their food. Nice atmosphere and great service. A little pricey for takeout and for the portions. However, I would recommend.

Decent Thai restaurant located in Greenwood. Service is a bit scattered and spotty. (There were only 5 tables with diners and 2 waitresses, yet it took forever to get our drink orders in) Like many Thai restaurants, you can customize the level of heat (1-4) of your dishes. Their hottest (level 4) is called "Thai Hot", which implies it is much hotter than local palates are accustomed to. However, I found it to just be moderately spicy. Although not hot enough for my taste, the food was cooked well and quite tasty. I wonder how the food compares just a few feet west at Thai Spice. I imagine there are 2 camps and people are fiercely loyal to their side.

My first time having Thai food! Had a great experience. The food was both beautiful and tasty. I don't know how hot Thai food is supposed to be, but David's review sounds right -- order up. I ordered the medium and definitely could have handled hot. I ordered the spicy chicken. For a carnivore like me, it was perfect -- chicken, sauce, rice. No vegetables to get in the way of meaty goodness. The breading had a delicious flavor and since it was all dark meat, the nuggets were very tender and juicy. I wish they would have used a little less breading, though. In some bites, it was overwhelming. The rice was shaped like a giant heart. Great presentation!! Backing up, we started with the appetizers of crab rangoon and spring rolls. My friend said the spring rolls were delicious. Stuffed almost to bursting with veggies, they were served cut in half to make little bite size portions. Always appreciated so shredded cabbage doesn't go flying when you bite into one. The crab rangoon was make with krab, but had nice big chunks of it and a good amount of filling. The sauce that came with it was like a spicy duck sauce with crushed peanuts on top. It appeared possibly homemade. Very tasty. I washed it all down with a Thai tea, which tastes almost like a melted tea milkshake. It was good, but for $2.50, they should use a larger glass or a lot less ice. I'm guessing I ended up with only about 6 - 7 ounces of tea. I learned that I am not a fan of Pad Thai, but if you are, get it here. My friend proclaimed it delicious, and it was the most beautiful dish I've ever seen. A carrot was cut into the shape of a huge butterfly and placed on top of the dish. They definitely do not want for presentation at this place. The service was not bad. The one complaint is that she didn't check back often enough for our water refills. We had to flag her down a couple times. Total check for crab rangoon, spicy chicken, and Thai tea was $22. Pretty reasonable for the amount I got, with the disclamer about the tea. I would definitely go back and order a HOT dish.

Super fast, very friendly service and good food. Have done both dine and and carry out and always had a great experience! Try the pad ped and the thai iced tea!

Our favorite Thai place to go in Indy. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. We were hesitant because it looked kind of shady in the strip mall, but it's really spacious and well decorated on the inside. The service is very friendly and the food is excellent.

My daughter and I got the pad Thai. The noodles were very chewy. The chicken and tofu were leather tough. Certainly nowhere near as good as Siam Square. The price was about the same, leaving me disappointed. Gave it 2 stars.

Food was served hot and quickly... too bad we had to fight gnats for our food and drink. When I told the waitress she said they've tried to get rid of them but they keep coming back. EWWW!

I love this place! I bought a deal on groupon to try out this place since moving from California. The food was sooo delicious. The decorations was nice and the waitress was attentive and our food was quick to be received. If this place wasn't do far where I live I would definitely be going back. I tried the pad seew which was good and som Tom (papaya salad) which was absolutely perfect. It had the perfect blend of sourness, I wish It was spicer, I always assume Thai medium is always spicy. So if you like it spicy go for the 3 or 4 peppers. And I also had larb(chicken), which was great with my steam rice. This place makes great Thai food, and it tastes super authentic. You would not be disappointed.

I have been a big fan of Thai Spice since I moved to Greenwood. It took a long time for me to jump ship and give My Thai Cafe a shot because I didn't think the food could beat it. As it turns out, everything here meets or exceeds the quality of that at Thai Spice. Presentation is always beautiful, decor is lovely, service is always prompt, price is reasonable, and most importantly, the food is fantastic. They used to serve a bland vegetable soup with the lunch specials but have recently changed to serving Tom Yum. This was a huge improvement. The lunch special is a great deal. The cucumber salad is the best thing on the menu and goes well as a first course for any of the meals, whether you're having lunch or dinner. The heat level of their dishes seems to have gotten hotter over time. When I first started going, I would order Thai hot and be disappointed that the sweet still overpowered the hot in a dish. More recently they have been making a dish quite hot when it is ordered this way. I wouldn't say that it meets a traditional "Thai hot" standard, but it is spicy enough for me. I would recommend that if you tried this place a while back and were disappointed, give it another shot. If you haven't been there and love Thai food, it's a winner of a choice.

The other Thai Restaurant on County Line Road across from the Greenwood Park Mall, I'm sure these folks would prefer not to be thought of as "other", but hey, Thai Spice was there first. My Thai took the space that Thai Spice used to have, when Thai Spice moved to a freestanding building 50 meters away. You could easily lob your leftover pineapple skin from one store to the other--very strange. I'm pretty sure the owners of My Thai didn't change a thing to the interior when they moved in, but that's not a bad thing at all--it has a soothing, creamy sheen, like stepping into a frosty glass of Thai iced tea. Prices might be a little gentler at this one, but the menu items seemed a bit more conventional. And the spice is not as intense. But you can still get with as much kick as you need--you just have to aim higher than at Thai Spice, where even the medium is enough to send the average Midwest WASP headed for the hills (in other words, a long walk). Presentation at My Thai is very good--probably better, and the flavors don't disappoint when it comes to the blend of sweet and scorch with the curries. It could give the more established Thai Spice a run for its money, except that even the most untalented could probably cartwheel or crab walk the distance between the two. Are they too similar for both to survive? Time will tell...in the meantime, southsiders now have a nice "Either/or" proposition when it comes to Thai Food.

We have driven by a few times, but never noticed this out of the way dive until this past week. The outside is buried in a small strip mall and County Line is busy enough without averting your eyes long enough to notice a restaurant. However, we were quickly sat and greeted, drinks in hand under 3 minutes. We both ordered Thai Iced Tea. I don't know what I was expecting, but it tasted like regular iced tea to me. I admit, I was a little disappointed. However, soup came with our lunch and my husband was so quick to order that I didn't even noticed it came with. Some of the veggies tasted quite fresh, but not necessarily frozen (thought I'm sure they were). Was a tasty soup, but very different from what I expected. The lavender rice is shaped in a cute heart. Different by design, but yummy with the lunch order, mini egg roll, and a fried wonton of some sort. The portion was just right for lunch and my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. We can't figure out why Thai Spice is almost right next door and how this must affect their business, but after we sat down for lunch, 4 or 5 other tables came in, so they certainly aren't hurting for business. We will be back!

Love this restaurant. I have no idea why it would have any less than four or five stars. Origami straw paper toppers in delicious thai iced tea. The fresh spring rolls taste crispy, cool and very fresh. Tom yum soup has whole and plump veggies with the just the right amount of spice. All the dipping sauces are exquisite. Kids get healthy options like rice in the happy shape of a heart! I could go on but you should see for yourself and then rate My Thai Cafe with the five stars it deserves. A hidden gem in Greenwood.

Visited recently for lunch. I was surprised the moment I walked in the door. My Thai is nice for a strip mall place. Great atmosphere. There's an elaborate wood carving partition in the entry and a fountain provides a nice sound of gurgling water. Given the cafe name I expected something simple, like a carryout joint, but it's quite nice. Service was great. The food was great. Pad Thai was fresh and tasty. My Thai tends not to be as hot as nearby Thai Spice, so adjust as needed. I'll be back to try more on the menu.

Always good. Pad Thai to go is tasty and plentiful. Spring rolls make a nice appetizer. Heat level of spices can vary depending on who is in the kitchen. Regardless of heat, flavor is always good.

My wife and I visited for lunch yesterday, our first time there. She had the red curry, I had the drunken man, both with chicken. I was disappointed in mine as it had almost no chicken. Literally 2 pieces. It was all rice. I understand it is a rice based entree but I didn't expect it to be all rice. I've been to other Thai places in Indy and around the country and never had this issue. The rice tasted good, as did all parts of the meal, but I wouldn't go back for it. My wife liked her red curry which seemed to have some chicken in it. We both ordered our food "3 chilis" hot (3 out of 4) but neither of us considered our food even slightly spicy. The place is nice. Much nicer than it looks from the outside and the service was friendly and efficient. We don't have the opportunity to go out to eat all that often so to get us to come back, the food needs to be good enough to warrant our return. Unfortunately, this was not.

Went here after purchasing a Living Social voucher and was very pleasantly surprised!! When I walk into a restaurant nustled into a cheap looking strip mall, I am never sure what to think. It could end up great or it could end up horrendous. My mother and I had a delightful meal on a quiet Sunday afternoon. We each had one of the lunch specials - her, Pad Thai, and myself, Masaman Curry with chicken. While the flavors were, admittedly, not as good as my personal favorite place (Siam Square), it was very cheap, the service was great, and we got a LOT of food. The special came with soup, a crab rangoon, a very large entree portion, and lots of rice. YUM. We both got drinks (I got a yummy Thai iced coffee), and combined, barely hit our $20 voucher amount. The service was wonderful, though the restaurant was very quiet (only one other family and one other couple dined while we did). I tried the pad thai, and it was very tasty, though not quite as tasty as my curry (though, I am quite partial to a good masaman curry full of filling potatoes and tasty onions and spices, yum). It might be a little overpriced for regular dinner entrees, but I would highly, highly recommend the lunch specials.

I love Thai food and when some of my friends suggested going here, I was right on board. I've been here twice, once for lunch and last Saturday for dinner. It's an unassuming little place in a strip mall right by the Greenwood Park Mall. The first thing I noticed that the decor is really nice for a place like this. The food is excellent. Most of the dishes are some sort of meat mixed with veggies, rice or noodles and of course the spices. In other words, it's about what you'd expect from a Thai place. They ask you how spicy you want your food when you order it. Be forewarned though, "Thai spicy" is pretty hot. My dish tasted great and best of all, it left me satisfied but not so stuffed I couldn't get out of my chair. The food looks great too, very nicely arranged. My rice was even shaped like a heart. We went on a Saturday night and to our surprise, there was barely anyone in there. I'm not sure why, I suppose it's because there's a lot of competition in the area. There's about 5 million restaurants in the area, plus another Thai place very close by. In a way, it was nice. Our server was great and our food came out promptly. Between the great food, reasonable prices, surprisingly good atmosphere and the fact that it needs more love, I can't recommend this place enough. 5 stars!

I was very very disappointed when I went there. I love Thai food and I have been going to Thai Spice for a very long time which is right next to My Thai Cafe. I love Thai Spice and I decided to try a different Thai restaurant so I went to My Thai Cafe. First of all the service was very poor. The waitresses weren't friendly at all. It's not a very busy restaurant because all the rush is going to Thai Spice which is right next door. Regardless the service was poor. The prices are high and the quality and the quaint is very low compared to that. The only thing I liked was the presentation of the food but other than that the food was ok not that great. I would not recommend this place

My husband and I had lunch here and were really disappointed. We originally had intended on eating at Thai Spice, one of our favs but decided to give this a try-never again. First the soup was just horrific; I can't believe they would even serve it. It was literally a bowl of chicken stock with frozen vegetables. For the main dish I got Pad Thai, which was ok but really sweet. It came with a disgusting salad, I say disgusting because the salad dressing was mayonnaise. The lettuce was crisp but who serves mayo as the dressing. My husband and the sweet and sour shrimp, and it wasn't bad. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, it was by far the best thing we had. Next time I will make sure and go back to Thai Spice. I wonder how long they will stay in business with that type of food?

We have been die-hard customers of Thai Spice for many years. We tried My Thai Cafe because I had been looking for MeeKrob. NOBODY makes that (that I'm aware of) in the entire city! I can't say enough about this place. FANTASTIC! It was one of the best meals we've had in a very long time. My husband got the green curry, extra thai hot and I got the MeeKrob, medium. We also had the TomYum and TomKa. Both were excellent. The spice could definitely be kicked up a notch. The extra Thai Hot didn't get my husband AT ALL and the medium had no spice whatsoever. The food was very fresh and beautifully presented. Hefty portions (I had enough to bring home and eat for lunch the next day). Typical price for Thai food. Great service. Very soothing and relaxing environment. My Thai Cafe has become our #1 choice for Thai food in the city!!!

I wish I could give this place five stars as my husband and I ate here a handful of times before and always had a good meal. But the last time we had dinner there, we got food poisoning. It's the only common denominator of our meals that day. I hope it was an isolated case, but needless to say, we won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend it.

So glad to have found this little Greenwood (I know, it's technically in Indy, blah blah) gem! Came here to redeem my Living Social coupon. Delicious food, great service - food was reminiscent of the great Thai joints on the East coast. I personally think their food tastes way better and more authentic than a certain other Thai place just a stone's throw away from this one... Love it, will definitely keep coming back, even to full-price.
