Always love McCalisters Deli, have never had bad service or food from this place. Any time I am back in town I try and eat here, such a big variety on their menu.

I don't know why. It's something I can't explain, but my life without "McAlister Monday" just is an incomplete one. Maybe its the fact that I can do their "Pick 2" and get nearly every item on their menu board for the same price and get get an upcharge or maybe its their fresh iced tea in their signature huge cups with a big lemon wedge? Either way, their California Turkey Reuben is the bomb.

Im not here to talk about the food. Its clear they have good food. Im here to rave about the service and the workers. I come here all the time and everyone is so polite and the service is fast and has never gotten my order wrong. The workers are great. I really only come to this one just because of all the above.

My first impression of McAlister's long ago was so-so. Some hit or miss meals and I kinda forgot about them when I went off to college and there wasn't one nearby. When I moved to the west side after college, my husband's family was a big fan of the place, and I was definitely willing to give it another try (despite a blah experience on the north side around the same time). My love for McAlister's began then. I love this place, sooo many menu options and everything I have tried is very good. I'm mostly nowadays addicted to the Cobb Club, it is hard for me to eat something else, but occasionally I force myself to try something new. I crave their sweet tea so we make this a fairly regular visit. It loses one star due to a few messed up to-go orders and the occasional unfriendly staff member (but with how busy they can be, I can see why they get worn out). This location tends to be packed during peak times so we try to avoid those times if possible. I am sure my sweet tea craving will strike again soon...they even have little tea cup ornaments for sale during the holidays, I wonder how long I can resist picking one up...

This is the ultimate place for lunch! The people are always friendly and the food is always hot and fresh. I'm obsessed with their tea so naturally I bought one of their refill cups and it's only $1 to refill it anytime at any location. That's half the price a drink normally is and as much as I go it was worth it. If you order anything at all it has to be the tortilla soup. I dream about it!

My first time at McAlister's was a success - I went with a group of out-of-towners and everyone enjoyed their lunch. The sandwiches were a big hit and although salads were slightly over-dressed, they were very fresh. I would definitely return!

This was our first trip here for dinner. It wasn't my first choice but I was pleasantly surprised. We had eight people which can cause problems but the staff was quick to accommodate us. We ordered and the food came out quickly. Everything was fresh and hot. The staff offered us refills on beverages and quickly took away finished plates. The iced tea was a big hit with most. I loved my veggie baked potato. Everyone liked the brownies.

I love McAlister's. The choices here are endless. Their baked potato offerings are huge, filling and very flavorful. The soups are always great and I've never had a sandwich that disappointed. The staff is always friendly and very helpful with giving options. There are so many great choices I always like to ask what their favorite is. When you want something that feels fresh and not fast food, this is your place! I love that they have outside seating - makes a great option.

Forget the baked potatoes. Try the Southwestern or Cobb salads. Both superb. BLT not great. Bacon cold and old. Service excellent

We are fans of McAlister's and it appears many others are if you even try to get in at lunch at most locatons. The service is fast and you can dine in or carry out. We also use them often for catering and they do a terrific job. Great sandwiches, salads and spuds. The Chicken Salad, whether a sandwich on crossant or over lettuce is always a favorite. The Roast Beef or Pot Roast Spud is one of my husband's favorites while I prefer the Spud Ole smothered in veggie chili, jalapenos and cheedar-jack cheese. We're tried many of the sandwiches and all have been good.

Try the grilled shrimp Caesar salad or pecan berry salad for $7.99 each.

The menu has really changed over the years. I've been here more times than I can count. Everything on the menu is pretty decent, but nothing spectacular in my opinion. The quality is good, but it can get a bit pricey with all the options available. I haven't tried everything yet, but these are the items I'd recommend to try: 1) Basil Parmesan Chicken Panini 2) "Build Your Own Deli Sandwich" (Smoked Turkey on Croissant w/ Honey Mustard and ALL the veggie toppings)...It's nice that the bread and meat comes out warm while the veggies are still cold and crisp. 3) Side items-- Seasonal Fruit (seems sub-par these days, it used to be what I looked forward to as a side item) -- Mashed Potatoes & Gravy 4) French Dip (The gravy can be a bit salty for some.) 5) Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap 6) Pot Roast Spud 7) Soups -- Broccoli Cheddar -- Potato 8) Iced Tea Non-memorable menu items: 1) Side item -- Macaroni and Cheese (It tastes like a bad frozen dinner.) 2) Basil Parmesan Pizza Flat (Cardboard crust. What's worse was the cheese wasn't melted like it should be for a pizza.) 3) Lemonade

Where have your desserts gone? Didn't you used to carry cakes and what not? Now its scaled down to like brownies and cookies, weird. My soup and half sandwich meal was surprisingly unfilling and bland. But I do recall back in the day really loving your vegetarian taco salad, I'll have to come back again and give it another whirl.

This is the second not so good review I have given a McAlister's in the last few months. Generally when I go to McAlister's it is an enjoyable experience with good food and outstanding customer experience. This time around though not so much. I walked in and there were employees just hanging out chatting behind the counter while customers were waiting to order. The boy who took my order did not even greet me with a smile it looked like it pained him to have to take my order. The manager on duty was also sitting in a both talking to the employees behind the counter and did not even offer a smile. When my food arrived he practically threw it on the table and walked away. I watched as 5 employees passed our table and not even give us a courteous nod. Two blonde younger girls were sitting in a both just chatting while clearly they were supposed to be working. I had to get up and ask for a refill twice!!! Once is understandable but two times? That was just ridiculous. Also when I walked out the manager was on his phone texting and did not even give us a thank you for coming. I am appalled at the customer service, or lack there of for that matter. I will not be coming back to this McAlister's again.

reading these reviews has given me a really good laugh, i have always had a good experience here but i go in with the expectation that i am eating at a FAST FOOD joint and most likely will be waited on by very young people who most likely this is their first job so that being said i have never had a problem. if you want 5 star service then stop eating at fast food joints and complaining about how they dont wait on you hand and foot. that kind of service costs money. As for the staff sitting down you hae no clue they may be on breaks or their own lunch period, they do get those and i never liked it when i worked in those places as a teenager and they made me sit in a broom closet to enjoy my breaks and meals. i love everything at mcalisters so yall keep up the good work even though you have to deal with ingrates all day. i wouldnt smile either if i had to deal with them.

Nathan is the Man here! He runs the place and if something is not to your liking I am sure he will get you something else free of charge -- so to hear all the flack about my food wasn't good....thats your own fault for not letting them know. You'll be happy here if you communicate with NATE!!! See you at McAlisters!

Love to call the order in, so we don't have to wait in line! Great tasting reubens, and the roast beef and horseradish sandwich is just plain tasty. OH. and add the French Dip to my list of favorites...wait, I like the chicken balsamic salad, too...haven't had a meal there I can remember that disappointed me!
