Turd Blossom. Like a turd blossom, Jack in the Boxes have been popping up all over Indianapoils. Also like a turd blossom, it's nice looking but underneath... Let's just say that this location is like an exercise in how to not run a fast food operation. The lot design is unbelievably poor. The drive thru design can hold about 3 cars before it floods out into the street. The spacing between the payment and the food windows doesn't even allow one extra car in there. Same thing is repeated at the order/menu board. The employees don't seem to be able to handle complex orders such as combo meals. You say #10 with a Coke and the next question is, "What do you want to drink?" Despite the menu/order board having a confirmation screen where they ask if your order is correct on the screen and concrete barriers to ensure that no cars could get into or out of line, the payment window employee will confirm your order. Line... by... line. Finally... almost there. You're going to get some food at the next window. Just kidding! It's not ready! It was 23 minutes from the time I pulled on the lot until I had food in hand. Certainly the delay was because of the Holy Grail of molten magma french fries... right? Nope. Burger was cold. Fries were cold. I must have been lucky that the drinks weren't flat. The employee had produced something like a dozen drinks in advance. On the bright side, they are open 24 hours so you can experience this any time of day or night. Actually, on second thought, you might need 24 hours to get through the line.

Big cheeseburger was plenty to eat. Great helpful manager. Several under 400 calorie options. Value fries were delicious and just the right amount. I will stop again

Jack is all about novelty. First it's new to Indiana in 2012. Second the menu is eclectic with burgers, teriyaki chicken, egg rolls, tacos, churros, and more. Third they're open 24 hours offering the whole menu all day. Finally you can order at a kiosk. The kiosk has a great user interface and it's nice when the people in front of you are *slow*. I've had the bacon ultimate cheeseburger. It's good enough to have again, but not amazing. The french fries - regular or curly - are fine. They have two for 99c tacos. I'm guessing these taste best at 2am. The taco sauce is thick like a (slightly) spicy ketchup. Not for me. The winner is bacon cheese fries. These are so good. These are so ooie gooie that you'll eat them with a fork. Try these with sour cream or ranch dressing for a real treat. Another winner is the 5 for a $1 mini cookies with that fresh from the oven taste.

Very disappointed with Jack in the Box. I've been wanting to try them for so long. When I finally get to try them, I get let down...Big Time! Ordered a BLT burger. The burger reminded me of a low quality Burger King Value burger. It definitely needed more than just mayo. The fries were disgusting, no flavor. The tacos did not even get a chance, due to the fact the put some kind of spicy sauce on the taco when you get it. Burger 1-5=1. Fries 1-5=1. Taco 1-5=1.

Finally!!! Ok, JITB isn't exactly my lifelong dream, but it ranks up there for 2012. Not the _best_ fast food, but certainly the best menu offerings. Everything from burgers & curly fries to shakes, tacos, chix tenders, & ALL DAY BREAKFAST! How cool is that!?! They're open 24/7 -- so drunk or sober, stop on in (with a DD of course). They have nice outdoor seating too. Also, it's super clean...even the bathrooms.

So pretty much this place is kinda what it sounds like. A greasy burger some really cheap tacos. I don't know what it is about their tacos but I just love them! They 2 for only a dollar and much tastier then the ones you buy at taco bell for $99 each. They have a huge menu with everything from breakfast food to egg rolls. I think one of my favorite parts is the ordering machine so you really can limit the amount of human interaction. Kinda makes me feel like i'm in a sci-fi movie. ....... almost. Not a place I would find acceptable for a date but definitely where I want to go after a night of drinking and partying. LONG LIVE THE $.50 TACOS!!!

It's fast food with a lot of variety to a menu. Where else can you go to get tacos, egg rolls and breakfast at the same time? Jack in the Box! Something pretty cool is a kiosk where you can order for and pay for your food. The only human interaction you have is when they bring your food out. Pretty cool if you aren't down with the human race ;-) The tacos (3 of 'em) I had on this visit were decent and lowly priced.

I lived on the west Coast way back when in the 80's when I was a kid so jack in the crack(box) coming to Indy was no big deal to me. Wished the people who stood in line for hours when this place opened would have listened. Its a fast food burger joint folks, they serve breakfast and tacos additionally...ok...

I waited three years for this to happen! Jack finally came to rescue me from my California fast food withdrawal and a couple months later I move to Boston ... wah wah. Unfortunately we are back in a long distance relationship once again, but I made sure to stop in for a visit when I was in town over the weekend. For a solid go-to menu that covers all the necessary (fast)food groups, I highly recommend the following: tacos, curly fries, eggrolls, mini churros, and a refined refreshment like Fanta Strawberry soda. A little tip from an old pro: mix their hot sauce and ketchup for a much tastier curly fry dip. You''ll thank me later. I don't eat fast food often, but a JBo treat now and again is a must. And before some says, "Oh I would never eat there, didn't someone get sick over a decade ago?" I say if fast food is going to be the reason for my untimely demise I would rather it be quick at Jack in the Box then a slow Super Size Me-style fade out any day. It is still fast food, so don't sweat the small stuff. Yea sometimes you might have to wait an extra minute, or something might not be in your bag (so check it), but this location has been solid since it opened. The staff is friendly and they take the extra time to walk your food out to you when you are dining in, so you don't have to crowd the line like vultures. They keep the tables clean, the condiments stocked, and it is open 24/7. Win, win, win. The only negative is the location, but more are popping up around the city to chose from!

I gave 1 star because I was not impressed with the cleanliness and quality of service in this particular location. For a new restaurant, I was shocked when I found out how messy this place was. Uncleaned tables, trashes and spills all over the floor in the dining area, and the restroom was also messy. I saw there were more than enough people working behind the counter, but the service was very slow and only 1 person was doing a quick cleaning. It took us 15 minutes to get 5 mini cookies. The food was also greasy...yuck. Do you know that Indiana has only 3 outlets (compared to 930 outlets in the state of California) and this location is the first one open? They should try to make it right, at least clean this place!!!...Very disappointed.

The last couple times I've been at this place I wasn't impressed. The food is greasy and bland. The staff took 2 minutes to goof around with coworkers before finishing my order at the register... This place isn't worth the money or time.

I gave this place 3 chances. First visit my order was wrong. Second visit had to go ask where my food was after waiting 20 or so minutes without my number being called. They couldn't find my order and had to reenter it, then when it did get to me, it was wrong(Manager did give me a card for a free sandwich for my next visit). Third visit had to wait over 20 minutes once again for my order, onion rings were cold and the burger so-so, not worth the wait.

Sad. Stopped at 2am thru the drive-thru; no one in line, but about 8 people training on the front line. I waited 5 min for my food and got cold fries, overcooked onion rings, and a bland cheeseburger. I won't be back. This place has nothing on the already saturated Indy fast food market.

How do I love you mini churros let me count the ways - in orders of 5 or 10 is the correct answer. What I don't really understand about this new addition to the southside is how you can have so many people working there, yet you are always out of condiments, or straws, or the place looks like a bomb went off and eventually you may see someone with a broom- but they are just pushing it to another corner. I have been impressed with what I have ordered, all though you constantly seem to be out of milkshakes- the staff should also learn what items have meat and what items don't- it doesnt bother me much- but to others that have gone with me it does. Finally- not so much a review of JitB but to the customers- if you choose to take your kids out for fast foor between the hours of late o'clock and 4 a.m. (late o'clock in my book is anytime after 9) than you should expect them to be a little rowdy, or to see people that are not your normal 9-5 buisness class. I will be the first to say something when you are yelling at your kid to calm down or sit down, or in one case even spanking them for walking around---i get it- it's your kid and raise them the way you want- but have a little common sense please! I am really excited to use the new credit card machine where you can place your order and not even talk to one of the people at a register--- could this be the next big rage?

Even for fast food, this was pretty bad. The whole place had a dirty feel and the area by the ketchup was pretty gross. The reason I go here is because the burgers are pretty good. But mine was incredibly dry, even when slathered in ketchup. And the taco shells were stale. All around, not great.

I went to this place not too long after it first opened. At that time I wasn't really impressed. So, since I was in the area I figured that I'd give it another try. To my surprise I actually liked it better this time. Maybe it's because they're not as busy anymore and they have more time to make the food instead of rushing on it. I ordered the Homestyle Ranch Chicken Club combo and it was delicious! After today's visit they have changed my perspective.

I'm a big fan of Jack in the Box for just one reason, they serve breakfast all day. I really enjoy their #23 combo on the breakfast menu. It is all the excuse that I need to get up and drive several miles away from my house on a Sunday morning when don't want to cook. I think I'm talking myself into a #23 combo now. :-)

Haute cuisine is what I think when I'm going to Jack In The Box and when I walk through the door, I remember where I am. It seems odd eating at JITB east of the Mississippi River, but it's here. This store is at a busy intersection. In fact, a two vehicle accident happened while I was sitting there eating. The place was rather packed. They have an electronic ordering system in addition to the human cashiers. I saw 6 combos on the menu that were priced about like Burger King. The Value Menu was difficult to read, which may be a promotional gimmick. In any case, I got a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, 2 tacos, and a small drink. At $3.79, it was probably the cheapest order of their day. They gave me a number and brought the order to the table, a la Carl's Jr./Hardee's. I was really surprised that the tacos were bigger than I remembered from my last visit to the store on El Cajon Blvd. in San Diego, CA. I still like the tacos from Hardee's/Carl's Jr. better, but these weren't bad, either. A woman who had been feeding her small son gave me a 3rd taco, which I didn't mind. The Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger wasn't bad, especially for the price. I suspect it would have been better if I'd tried it earlier, as it seemed barely warm. In any case, it seemed a bit pricey for Jack, but I'm glad that they decided to enter the area. It's nice having a familiar face in the neighbourhood.

I had several items and all exceeded my expectations. I had expected a really crappy place with crappy service and poor food from the things people I know say. I guess they just haven't tried it because what I had was better than any run of the mill fast food places. The food was hot and fresh, the fries were great. My partner had the chicken nuggets, hamburger and curly fries. Hw said they were pretty good. I had the reg fries, bacon ultimate sandwich and nuggets. We also got cookies. It all tasted pretty good and I'll be back to try the breakfast stuff.
