I stayed here this weekend in a booked hotel that was loaded with wedding guests and most likely some Colts fans (Saturday game) so I am writing this review based on this weekend. We were in 1902 on the top floor near the pool. 2 queen sized beds, no fridge in room. We tried to hit up the hot tub/pool but at almost 11 at night there were a ton of kids in there. Finally they shuffled off and we ran in for 10 min of hot tub time before getting kicked out. We get it they need to clean, at least we got a few min. What I liked-- clean spacious room with a cool view. Nice temperature setting. Lots of pillows and extra pillows and blanket in the closet. What I didn't like- there was an odd rocking/ clicking noise we kept hearing but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. We could hear EVERYTHING happening in the hallway. I think we even heard our neighbor drop the soap lol... The walls are thin! Seals on the door are non existent so they are not very soundproof. Um *cough* soo if you are having "relations" don't be too loud about it! At 2:30 am we kept hearing people in the hallway... Screaming. Yes. Screaming...banging doors, hollering and being jerks in general with no consideration of others!! We called the front desk and then it got quiet for a bit but I heard jerks again at 3:00-3:30. I didn't get much sleep. I've stayed here during gen-con with a friend in the past but honestly the nerds are quieter!

We snagged a same-day deal on this hotel using the BEST hotel deal app, Hotel Tonight (seriously download it right now, I get crazy deals from this app regularly). For $69 we ended up in the biggest hotel suite I've ever stayed in. The room wasn't what I'd call updated, but in true mid-western fashion it was immaculate. The king size bed was quite comfortable and I wasn't sad about the Peter Thomas Roth skincare products in the bathroom (I read somewhere that those hotel sample size branded products aren't the "real thing" but I prefer to believe they are). The one downside of this experience was our shower drain was very clogged, which is something that really grosses me out even at my own house. We were at the hotel for such a short period of time though, I didn't even bother calling the front desk. The valet and front-desk service were excellent. On checkout when we called down for our car we did not have to wait at all for it to be brought around. Location-wise, you are literally steps away from the circle, as well as lots of bars and restaurants. Solid!

Pet friendly! They don't charge you and arm and a leg to bring your furry friend, just a one time charge (I think was around $100 for your whole stay). The hotel itself is nice. While its a bit older than some of the other hotels in Indy now, it is kept up well, and they seem to be working to keep it fresh and clean. On our last visit there we smelled new carpet on our floor, and the lobby is always clean. Valet service is fast and efficient! WAY better than the JW Marriott, they get a huge thumbs down for slow service. You can call down to get your car brought up from your room, which is hugely convenient (why can't you do that as well JW?) Finally the rooms are really clean, and with status we usually get upgraded to a huge suite that is bigger than our condo. Status is definitely rewarded here, which is a great perk! Overall, a nice place to stay, and a little cheaper than the Conrad down the street (and in my opinion a better value, the Conrad only has its amazing bathrooms to outdo this place.)

So many better options in downtown Indy. This is my third downtown Indy hotel in less than a year, I DO NOT recommend staying here; - rooms are very outdated and not clean (my toilet seat was soaking wet when I arrived NASTY). You can also hear everyone in the hall. The doors are old and require a hard slam to close. - staff friendly but not helpful; there is a convention in town, I believe it's a cheer leading competition, and hundreds (not exaggerating) of screaming kids came back to their rooms at 11pm screaming and slamming doors. Ok, not the hotel's fault, but when I called the front desk I was told, "they're all arriving at te same time, they should quiete down shortly". At least lie to me and say you'll have someone up here right away to handle the situation. - nickle and dime you; rooms do not have fridges, must pay $10/day to get one. Internet is $13/day. People gave good reveiws for location; I can see 3 other hotels from the lobby. Please take my advice and stay elsewhere!

We stayed here because our usual hotel for our Indy trips was booked (some convention or something) and were very pleasantly surprised. It was in the same Hilton points bracket as our other hotel, even though it is more expensive than our usual hotel. They upgraded us to a suite because we were staying on points and we were very impressed. The bed was comfortable, the towels and toiletries were top notch, and the customer service was fantastic. I love the location of this hotel as well. Within a block or two of everything we need to go to. We will stay here again for sure. The only con is the same with all Hilton hotels - no free wifi! And the furnishings are a little outdated, but nothing that takes away from the stay.

Multiple stays. Called ahead with a request and the staff took great care of us. Large rooms. Updated but not the tub/shower and they need an update. ATT hotspot wifi or pay $12.95. Don't misread Hotwire free internet to mean in room. Lobby only. Near all attractions. Close to mall which then connects to most downtown attractions indoors or short outdoor jaunts. Close does not mean connected but close. Staff nice. Price is right for our stay. Pet friendly for a fee. And they are pet friendly. You can eat at the hotel restaurant or many places downtown. Love gyros? Try Ali Babas across the street - eat there (carry out suffers) and have the spicy gyro.

The name and the lobby are not enough to make this a great hotel. We stayed in a state suite. The bathrooms were updated but that's it. While nice looking, the bathroms had issues. The shower diverter only transferred about 80% of the water to the shower head. The tub filled up quickly and was very slow to drain. They also failed to install vent fans in the bathrooms which was a hassle. The room itself was large, with a wall of windows overlooking the city. There is a large desk in the corner facing away from the windows and not private. There is a large round table with four chairs. The living area also had a couch and two armchairs facing the entertainment center. The furniture was old looking and uncomfortable. There is a nice little wetbar with a refrigerator and coffee maker. The sofa folds out into the single worst possible surface you could imagine sleeping on, outranked even by armchair and floor. Sleeping on a chicken wire hammock would be preferable. They also failed to include extra pillows for this option. The master bedroom has its own bathroom, a nice king bed and closes off from the rest of the room. If you have to entertain and do business, it might meet your needs. Even with the overly expensive price for what you get, they have plenty of upcharges. Internet access for example among others like $22/day for parking and half the breakfast options. The parking garage is open air and you have to walk outside from the hotel to get to it. There was an issue of a misquoted price for the service from the front desk, with the attendant being rude about it. They do offer valet for an upcharge. Basic breakfast is free with voucher, but if you want hot food, and some drinks, it costs extra. You also have to wait for their incredibly slow service to get drinks and wait to check out (even if you get the free voucher). For the price, I was quite disappointed.

Well it's a nice room, very long. No fridge no microwave but there is two tvs, I don't know why either. A little tip don't close the doors to the office to cancel the outside noise the a/c vent is only in the office and you will be on fire by the middle of the night. The bar in the lobby is really good the bartender Eric is great he made the experience. And the food is very well made.

I had a really quite wonderful stay at this hotel in June 2015. The front desk staff seemed very busy but my room was nice, large, and had a great view from the 19th floor. I was very busy on my trip so I didn't get the chance to spend that much time in the hotel, but I really appreciated the fruit infused water in the lobby every morning when I walked through. The humidity of Indianapolis meant that the room felt moist on occasion, but the bed was super comfy and the shower was good with adequate pressure. There was lots of counter space which was great as I was sharing a room with two others. I never made it to the pool but it looked nice and was just down the hall. I never had to wait long for the elevator which is always a concern when one is on the 19th floor so that was really great! Checkout went smoothly and staff were able to divide our room payment between us appropriately given how long we each stayed so that was great! I liked how close this hotel was to everything else downtown.

Great rooms. Clean and modern for the most part but there are a few signs of wear starting to creep out in some places (like the shower heads). Hilton HHonors Gold will get you free WiFi and other amenities. On the down side I was traveling with a group and in total we used 4 rooms. Two were ready at noon, one at around 3:30, and the last not until around 5:00 or later. It was great to have some of the rooms early but the last one dragged on later than anyone of us expected and also long after the front desk lead us to believe as well.

Two words: stay away! As a property, the hotel was so-so. Like others, I've been at better Hiltons. I stayed for a conference in September. I slipped coming out of the shower on the last day and ended up on the floor under the sink. Long story short, I hurt my back and incurred some chiropractic/naprapathic bills from the fall. I suspect the hotel has had problems with this before because they put a sign and a grab bar in the bathroom, and because the staff seemed not surprised by this. Given how hard I fell, I'm probably lucky it isn't worse. They told me falls were common. I didn't hear back from the hotel about my "incident report" until I complained to Hilton's head office. They agreed to forward my bills to their insurance company. My dr sends them in. In late February, I get an email from my dr. She still hasn't been paid, and it's been 5 months.

Not giving 2 stars because the towels are soft, they provide lots of fluffy pillows and the bed is comfy.. What truly disappointed me about this hotel is the lack of care regarding a request I made.. I always put out the 'do not disturb' sign when staying multiple nights (in this case 3) as I don't need the cleaning crew going through my room.. Hate having strangers clean up and rearrange my stuff without me being present. No sign in my room; requested it before heading to the work conference in the hotel. Reassured by the front desk person, Rose, it was on its way. I requested nicely to not have my room cleaned and thanked her for getting the sign to my room. Well, the sign didn't come and when I got back to my room they had come in and cleaned my room. Furious I called the front desk, expressed my anger and frustration for Rose not taking my request seriously.. Felt my privacy was invaded. Finally a sign was provided. Had a brief rude interaction with a women at the front desk (tues, may26th @ 7:30am so the hotel can possibly know who it was) when I had asked her to please not have my room cleaned (same morning as my call to the front desk; they never provided a sign so followed up with her before my conference started). She made no eye contact and scuffed at me.. Thanks hotel staff person for making me feel like my request wasn't worth your attention. Sorry I'm not important. Finally, it's 11:30pm, Thurs May 28th and a very loud drilling has gone on for the last two hours! I called the front desk and was told to 'deal with it' & 'we have no control over it'. Again, with an attitude. Wasn't going to add that to this review but 2hrs of this drilling noise is ridiculous! You have multiple conferences going on in your hotel, my company alone has 75 people staying at this hotel and you want me to 'deal with it' and had trouble bringing me a 'do not disturb sign' nor ensure my room wasn't cleaned.. I'm also a Hilton Rewards Member.. You are really not making me a happy customer. Shame on the hotel for this behavior.

Very nicely appointed room. Surprisingly quiet for a busy street. Staff has been very helpful. Walking distance to great restaurants including St. Elmo's. Here with a group and enjoy this more than previous hotel!! Valet and luggage service was seem less and efficient.

Pretty good hotel, great service. Deducting one star because on closer viewing, it is getting a little older. For example, the tub in the bathroom was stained. some nasty grout in the tiles on the tub. A couple of the floor tiles were cracked. Elevators to the parking garage have seen better days. And a couple of minor design annoyances. Such as the bath towels are 6 feet away from the shower (yes, I should remember to grab one before the shower). And you can't plug in the coffee maker where it is (power light on the coffee maker was not working also). But all minor points. Lobby is great. Prof service. Good flavored water. Free wifi. Good breakfast options. Good bedding.

Great place to stay in downtown Indy. Tons of things in walking distance. Hotel staff are friendly and trustworthy. Tight pool on the top floor. Suites are spacious and plush. Nice work Hilton!

We are hhonors members for a reason. It's rare to have anything other than a positive experience at a Hilton. Indy Downtown was a bit of an exception. The suite was spacious but a little run down with some scuffs and paint chips on the walls. The dresser in our room had something sticky on it and the room AC/heater unit's front panel was a bad fit. Staff was with one exception Hilton-quality; the one problem we had was with a concierge at the front desk who was a little snippy with us regarding theater tickets. It was busy, but our question was simple and we got our own fix later. Would we stay again? Yes, it's a fine place in a good location and there wasn't anything wrong, just a few unpleasant surprises that are probably not the norm.

The service sucks the hotel is nice the parking sucks the total costumer service is bad .. We ask about surround places the lady is to old .. We have to walk for parking and no help w valet... So I booked this room via "Hotwire", so my experience may be different if you were to book them directly or if you are a member of the Hilton Club perks. I couldn't complain about the price that we paid for a 4-star hotel. When my girlfriend and I arrived to the hotel, the atmosphere, the service, and appearance was 4-star for sure. Check in was very easy and multiple elevators which was a nice thing. When we get to the room, we felt that it was a "Hotwire" or bargain-type room because it was tucked away in the corner, and it was hard to explain, but you could tell that the hotel and the company decided if they don't get a lot of room sold, then that room we stayed was designated as the "bargain" room. Well I don't want to make it sound bad, but there were just a few things that made it seem this hotel more of 3-star hotel (more so like a 2.5 star) than a 4-star. Well I haven't stayed at much of Hilton, but I was kind of bummed that they didn't have a refrigerator inside the room. Maybe it is the type of Hilton Hotel, but come one, I can get a refrigerator at a Holiday Inn or Best Western and still paid either the same price or less. There were some certain things that made the room unattractive. The biggest thing we saw was a giant stain on the wall. Didn't know if it was old coffee and maybe that was the trash can was originally located, but it was kind of gross. They had water bottles in the room, but it was like $4 per bottle! I stayed at 4-star hotel in Chicago and they had a giant bottle of water for FREE! But you know I couldn't complain since I used the room only to sleep, but it would've been nice to have at least a refrigerator in the room. My biggest complaint about this place was the noise level. That night, there were some very "loud" people staying that night. I don't know how soundproof the wall is when doors are closed, but these people were very loud and very rude that they were not being considerate of their noise level. They were standing in the hallway to the rooms and even had their doors open, and they were laughing and talking very loud. I am usually a very calm and forgiving person with noise, but this was very rude. When these people decided to move their party inside the room and closed the door, it was relatively quiet, but you can still hear when they screamed and laughed out loud. We eventually had to call the front desk and maybe that did the trick because these people (who were 2 doors down from us, or almost nearly across from us), came out and started the party back in the hallway. So I am not trying to complain to the hotel, but just wanted to warn everyone that if you are a light sleeper, and if you do end up staying at this hotel, and encounter an episode like mine, please call the front desk to request for a room change. That is the only advice I could give. Yeah I know that people want to party and don't want to ruin the vibe of having a good time, but some days people forget about politeness when they are under the influence of alcohol. Overall, the hotel was OK. It's in downtown Indy and it is near by many stores to shop, and restaurants to dine at. Parking is either a self-garage parking or valet parking; both offering in and out privilege, which is a good thing. They have a restaurant (bar and grill they call it), which offers OK food and also, they are adjoined to a McCormick and Shmick? steakhouse. I would not recommend this place if you are booking directly through their website, unless you are one of those members who gets points for staying at the hotel. Once again, i booked it via "Hotwire" and the money that I paid for the room was a bargain. I just wished it was a better experience. But hey, everyone has opinions and you can either take it or leave it. Thanks for reading my long review and I hope you found it to be funny, helpful, or just plain awful! Cheers

I like it here. Stayed overnight a couple times, and also had a three day meeting here. Friendly staff and all that. I'm interested to try the McCormick & Shmicks place that is on the first floor here.

For $359 plus taxes I would think I would have a clean modern room, free water, stocked frig etc. what we got was a room that was decorated about 20 years ago, closet doors that don't open, dirty grout on bathroom floors. No robes, a sofa that is killing my bad back. Unfortunately this was the only room left in downtown Indy. We picked a bad weekend for a get away.

When I called to get some information about checking in and the receptionist was extremely rude and condescending on the phone. Later that night after the wedding my buddy and his new bride went to get there room (that had been reserved for something like 6 months) the newly weds found out that the hotel had given there room away and were booked solid. And afterwards when they tried to resolve the issue with the hotel management. They are not getting anywhere with them. Completely unprofessional! !!!

I've stayed here with a group every year at GenCon for several years. The location is perfect. There are several options downstairs for food. McCormick's stopped doing their late night happy hour specials but the breakfast buffet is usually something we do once per year. The staff has always worked with our group. This year, our usual room was booked... on every floor. They converted the CC rooms on 2 floors for us. It was a cool setup but there are a few kinks to work out. The wifi has definitely gotten better than it was in 2012. Last year we could not even stream music over wifi. This year, 480p videos were fine even after the hordes arrived for GenCon.

I seem to have discovered a trend on my ~ quarterly visits to Indianapolis; really bad service delivered with the kind of pleasant smile that makes it hard to be frustrated...and the Hilton Indianapolis fits right in. The hotel's downtown location was fabulously convenient for the meetings I had throughout the downtown area during my trip and I was upgraded to an absolutely massive corner suite that was bigger than most of the apartments in which I've lived. With the amount of traveling that I do, having a constant like the Hilton Breakfast is always reassuring; not the most wonderful breakfast buffet ever, but it's consistent and always good quality. However...... I tried for literally 15 minutes in a less-than-half-filled restaurant to get someone to bring me my bill. It took so long that I almost ended up late for my first meeting that day. The laundry that I sent in before 08:00 was nowhere in my room to be found when I returned from my last meeting at 9:00PM. A call to the front desk was answered with an assurance my laundry would be sent up "immediately". I waited 30 minutes and no laundry...a second call to the front desk went into voicemail, as did a third 15 minutes after that. As I had an 06:00 flight the next morning, for which I had to be up by 04:00, all I wanted to do was get some sleep, but, as it was now 10:00PM and the laundry I needed to wear the next day was still nowhere to be found, I had no choice but to trudge down to the front desk to locate my laundry. The very nice young woman at the front desk assured me it would be handled right away and that I should just hold tight at the front desk, which I did...for 15 minutes. Finally, someone emerged from the bowels of the hotel with my laundry and a very pleasant smile and apology for the delay. The lovely smile and pleasant demeanor didn't change that it was now 10:30 and the process to find the laundry that was supposed to have been delivered to my room four and a half hours before had now cost me an hour and a half of so badly needed sleep. I really don't know if the other downtown hotels offer any better service, but....you might be doing yourself a favor to find out...

Stayed here the last week of March in a deluxe suite with family. The pros here are that the room was huge, we could have fit probably ten people in the suite without trouble. The rooms however are old and dated. The pullout couch where my kids slept was scary in that it looked worn and in horrible shape. The carpets are old and stained. Okay place to stay but its one of those places that I worried me about bed bugs. I have seen many better HIltons. Stay away from this one. I am marking wifi as free as I am a gold member but they do charge for it if you are not a gold member.

Note: Don't give the hotel the credit when you wake up with mustard stains on your sleeves and knees & you're wearing your shirt as pants... that's just you being awesome. Rare is the opportunity to stay at a hotel in my hometown (hometown as in... where I be livin'), and a wedding reception at a hotel is the prime chance. This hotel is part of a giant corporate complex that's quasi-mall. The self-park underneath the building freaked me out. I really don't understand how they justify cutting it that close with the space between the ceiling & the cars' roof... so I'd be sure to check the car top before you get back in it after the valet brings it to you. The front desk was totally up for a pitying upgrade to a king bedroom, late notice... so really... that's enough for a positive review. It's funny that a view of a government building (the State Capitol) is sought after... I suppose there really is a couple out there toasting their raspberry champagne and saying, "Cheers to our lovely government. I love you, sweetheart." Me on the other hand...I see this as a fine opportunity to moon the Capitol, elevated no less. Service is attentive. Bar is stocked and service is slow with endless seas of conference newbies to stand behind, but once at the bar... you might just meet a man named Mike from Louisville who drops knowledge like the Marlboro Man in The Big Lebowski. Rates? It seems like Hilton owns Indy, and there's no other option... last minute for a wedding reception in the same building, I'll take what they're giving me... but for no other reason. They seemed not to mind a wiley young duo scurrying through their hotel with mustard-y ham & cheese croquets with bottles of beer clanging -- thanks! Note: Anyone else see that our State Capitol is listed as "State Chiropractic Association" on the Google/Yelp Map? Fascinating stuff.

Location is perfect. So much within walking distance and we felt safe even in the early am when the streets were bare and we walked to the City Cafe for breakfast. The attached garage was $22 a night, which seems pricey but was comparable to the other overnight garages and had the convenience of being attached to the hotel. We got a King Room and the bed was ultra comfortable, I slept all night which is rare for me in hotels, and the room was clean, had everything we needed to. The shower had fantastic water pressure (a necessity for those of us with long hair) and used Crabtree & Evelyn products which was a nice and unexpected touch. Those working the front desk were kind, quick and attentive. One was a little slow at helping us find a restaurant (her mapquest skilz weren't up to par) but she did her best and we got what we were looking for. If we were going to downtown Indy again I would definitely stay here. It was $119 a night, plus (ugh) $20 in room tax but it was our anniversary so i'm glad we didn't go cheap.

The location is perfect... I had no idea I would be able to just walk out the door downtown and be able to walk to not only the IUPUI law school building, a shopping mall.. restaurants, and bars all at such a short walk.. My room was a great size.. a large comfy bed.. I spoke spanish with the cleaning lady and got brand new pillows...They were so accommodating.. and I"m an annoying ask for a lot guest.. and they definitely had no problem answering all my questions.. There is no wifi.. which is weird.. and there is no safe / lockbox inside of the room to store your stuff while you're not in there..however you can get a safe deposit box from there free of charge... it's weird though because you have to keep your stuff locked up downstairs in a room behind the front desk.. it's like why travel and bring these things.. that you're going to store far away from your room and have to go through more than I would want to to get it.. that's a problem . The workout area is cool... they have many amenities... I'd def stay here again

For a Hilton, I've seen better. The staff is friendly enough and the rooms are nice enough. The breakfast buffet is pretty nice, especially since it's free for the Hilton-loyal. The place just is not modern or even updated. Also, beware - the Internet is terrible. They have wi-fi but the signal is weak (and I tried two different computers, two different guest rooms on different floors, and sitting in the lobby). They also don't have access to hard line/Ethernet Internet cable. Their workaround for terrible wi-fi is just to offer a "bridge" which plugs into your Ethernet port but still just pulls in the wi-fi signal. For business travelers - it's painful. Overall, it's not bad, but there are better hotels in Indy at similar price points. If you're a Hilton member, I would actually suggest the HGI over the Hilton. At least they have accessible Internet.

Although there are some nice pros including a great location which is walking distance to all of the major downtown attractions amd best restaurants, a beautiful lobby, friendly, efficient service at check in all in a nice big room with a spacious bath and a flat screen on a full swivel stand so that you can watch it from the desk or bed. Some major cons: NO wi-fi, only plug in ethernet cable access at the desk for $9.95/ day, no minibar or fridge, valet parking is expensive at $28/ day. Nice, but needs some technological updates!

I went here with my dad for his company business party/awards banquet. I was his plus one and was able to share his room with him on the 10th floor. I'm not sure about the price per room, but what I can tell you from a strict entertainment perspective on the hotel, I was very pleased with service and overall quality. The banquet party was down on one of the lower floors underneath the lobby, which was very big, and held two bars and a kitchen. The bar service was great (an unfortunate two drink tickets per person, but this was the company, not the hotel) and made tasty drinks. The Long Islands were slightly disappointing because they used the mix instead of the actual mix of different alcohols, but that's okay in the long run. The food was good. They served salad, London broil, bread pudding with chocolate on top, a variety of vegetables, different breads, pulled pork, among other items. The meat was a little tough, but other than that, everything tasted great. The servers cleaned up the empty dishes in a timely fashion and did so without getting in the way of the ceremony. Very stealth. Because it was a company function, my parking garage ticket was stamped and did not have to pay for parking. I was very happy about this. The rooms were clean and large and had a great view of the surrounding buildings and the capital building. They have smoking rooms and non-smoking rooms. I experienced both and much rather prefer the non-smoking rooms. Rooms had flatscreen televisions, queen beds, a desk and chair, lamps, coffee makers and a wonderfully clean bathroom. My only complaint is that the drainage on the bathtub was clogged and the water got extremely high (close to overflowing) by the time the shower was done. Checking in and out was incredibly easy and everyone at the Hilton was very kind. If you're looking for a hotel in the downtown area, I would recommend staying at the Hilton.

Summary: Although there are some bright-spots, ultimately this is a VERY mediocre and tired hotel. Unless you are a low-end/budget traveler, there are much better properties in the vicinity. Location: (4-Star) Ideally situated in downtown, there are better located hotels, but not many. The views afforded by higher level rooms are likely quite good. We were on the 5th floor so ours were just average. Decor/Room: (1-Star) We had a Deluxe King Suite. 1984 called, they want their decorations back. I did enjoy the rusty shower (complete with ringless shower curtain!) that took 10 minutes to drain. Our first room had a bloody Kleenex and pubes on the bathroom floor -- they quickly moved us to another pube/blood-kleenex-free room. One's imagination roams thinking about the various other body fluids that have been sprayed about the rooms. Nice. The coffee maker leaked water and was a pain in the butt, but the coffee they supplied was actually pretty good. Technology: (2-Star) Wired ethernet connections are not obviously available. There is a note that says to call the front desk if you want a wired connection. $10 daily for wireless internet access. Really? Who does that anymore? The flat screen televisions were quite undersized for our room. They may have been fine for a small box, but for a suite, they needed much larger screens. The programming was mostly in HD and pretty good. The HVAC was effective and the digital thermostats were placed appropriately in out suite. Food: (3-Star) Room service was functional, food was just ok, tray pickup took all day and by the evening the hall was littered with dirty dishes from various rooms. Their in-room dining menu is typical Hilton-fare. They have two restaurants on site -- an excellent steak-house and a mediocre diner. Hotel Staff: (3-Star) Front desk check-in, while not friendly was quick and pain-free. Valet parking was uniformly excellent! Spa: (4-Star) My wife received a massage, which she, an experienced spa-gal, deemed pretty good.

The hotel was okay. It was a busy weekend during the Brickyard. The big downfall was that when booking with a third party like Priceline, you are at the bottom of the barrel in their eyes. I had called the hotel prior to my stay and requested a 2 bed room and said that I would get one if there was one available. When I went to check in, they said that all they had were king size bed rooms and wasn't ready as I was there earlier than standard check-in time. They said that they were completely booked. I went on their site and sure enough, there were 2 bed rooms priced at $329/night. I pointed it out to them and then they said, "oh, we do have one room left." Just because I did it through a third party, I shouldn't be treated any differently than any other guest. Was very disappointed.

I stayed at the Hilton downtown Indy for New Years and a Colts game. Our rate was $119 a night, but we booked well in advance and noticed that the rate went up quite a bit in the couple months before we arrived. We had a king room with lots of space and a nice desk to sit at. I used the Wi-Fi downstairs in the lobby and it worked great for us(and was free). We had a problem at check in when our room wasn't ready, so the front desk offered us free breakfast at the 120 West Market, which has a wonderful buffet. We arrived after 11am when the breakfast buffet was over, so the server said we could pay $4 per person and have the brunch buffet. It was great and def worth us paying a couple bucks. If you can include the 120 W Market in your rate with Hilton, I would def recommend it. This Hilton is about 5 blocks from Lucas Oil stadium and 3 blocks from the Convention Center. Circle Center mall is a couple blocks away with very nice shops. There are great places to eat all over the place. Try St. Elmo's for shrimp cocktail and steaks, it is wonderful! Harry and Izzie's is a couple blocks away and is a great place for lunch or dinner and Peyton Manning is part owner. If you're looking for a bar within walking distance, try the Slippery Noodle. We spent a couple nights there and it's an awesome establishment! We also saw the Indy 500 museum, which is a short 10 minute ride away. We took at cab and it cost about $12 each way. Cabs sit right outside the Hilton, so they are easy to find. The Go Indy Green Line is directly across the street from the Hilton and is a great way to get to and from the airport since there is no shuttle. It costs $7 per person. Overall, Hilton was a nice place to stay at with nothing over the top, but is in a great location surrounded by the best places to eat, shop, and sightsee.

I stayed here for the better part of a week for this year's Gen Con. Shared a King Room with a friend - bed was quite comfortable, and the room was surprisingly large when compared to other downtown hotels (Marriott, I'm looking at you). Room had a full sized desk and a sleeper-sofa, along with another chair and coffee table, plus a large dresser and flat screen TV. Bathroom is nice - lots of counter space, but the lack of a fan and the downright tiny trashcan were a bit weird. Also, the only extra we got was a coffee maker - no microwave or fridge, although we could have paid extra to have them in the room, at the rate of $10 each, per night. Other than that, the hotel is within decent range of the convention center - a ten or fifteen minute walk, depending on your pace and luck with stop lights. While I would have preferred a connected hotel (that is, connected to the convention center via hamster tubes), the Hilton was a decent alternative.

The walls are paper thin and the staff is not friendly. While the room was very clean and nice, it would be way better if it was in isolation. The staff is unwilling to resolve problems and I got several eye rolls before I could get two extra keys and a cot in the room.

Awesome hotel with great service, very reasonably priced and phenomenal location. Just down the street from the capital building and the monument on Meridian. Plenty of good restaurants and nightlife within walking distance. The area seemed safe, too. Extremely easy access on and off I-65. Room was spacious, beds were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Great hotel with great service! I have stayed here 4 maybe 5 times and the hotel is old and the rooms are a little old but the service is great and the location is awesome if you are in town of a convention.

Cheers

Solid!

WiiiiiiFiiiiiiiii!!!!!! They finally joined the party. Don't expect a quick connection or even an adequately amateur paced one but at least it exists.

Do you seriously have to pay to use the internet? Beautiful lobby and great location. Rooms showing their age and a little wear and tear but overall pretty nice.

A bit dated. I can only imagine the partying that goes on in these rooms during Indianapolis 500
