I've been a regular customer for 10+ years.. Never been disappointed. Great food-always fresh and flavorful. Carry out is ready in 10 minutes and the order is always correct. Great prices too!

I am Chinese. I like it. I am a good cook too. If it is in my neighborhood closed by. I am not going cook, then.

Great Chinese take-out. Nothing revolutionary here, but it's pretty good. I like lots of veggies in my Chinese and this place doesn't skimp on veggies or shrimp--my dishes are always chock full of the good stuff. Also, the veggies are still crisp, not all squishy. Again, nothing new or different, but well cooked and seasoned.

I really really liked the crab rangoon. The cream filling was slightly sweet and a thick consistency. The egg roll tasted fine but it was small and not filled completely. I also had shrimp fried rice. The rice was good but the shrimp had a mushy texture. I would definitely go back for the crab Rangoon though! Don't forget to grab your fav sauces from the sauce table like me if you are getting it to-go. Luckily I was with a Happy Dragon pro!

I've never had a bad meal here. Friendly, family run, and they make their food fresh. The orange chicken is incredible and a family favorite. I've been ordering from them for over a decade and don't plan on stopping.

It's like $6 for lunch. How can you beat that? Plus, it's pretty good, really. I mean, don't take your girlfriend there for her birthday, but it's perfect if you don't feel like cooking and want to grab carryout on your way home.

Asked for dine-in shrimp Lo mein. What I got was a take out bowl of the worst lomein and old fried rice. Why did it only take 45 seconds to bring it? I wanted hot food on a plate, not a plastic bowl filled with old crap. No egg roll, no offer of soup or choice of rice. Happy Dragon on w 86th is my usual stop. Great food there. Must be a different owner.

Our family gets take out once a week from here. Great food, great owners! The Happy Family, Beef & Broccoli, and General Tso's are especially good.

Happy Dragon is one of the few Chinese restaurants in Indy that serves food that doesn't upset my husband's sensitive stomach. That alone is worth 4-stars! The menu is typical, the service is quick, and the food is tasty! I do find their prices a little higher than other Chinese take-out places, but Happy Dragon is so close to my house that the convenience is worth the extra dollar.

My favorite place for Chinese in Indy. A bit of a dive for the Geist area, but you won't be disappointed in the food. This has been our go-to place for crab rangoon, pork lo mein and other assorted dishes since we moved to Lawrence a decade ago. The staff is really friendly and nice.

Great Chinese food! I've never eaten inside, but we get carryout a lot. Great value for the money, and great location! They are seemingly always busy so you know it's great!

This place rocks. I've been a regular for 14 years and find it hard to find a better value then Happy Dragon. All the garlic dishes are fab. Crag Rangoon rocks. Its been great to see the owners kids grow up from infants and now they work the cash register. Excellent and timely carryout.

Not what I expected. Got lemon chicken, almond chicken, and crab Rangoon. The lemon chicken was decent- the lemon sauce came on the side. The almond chicken was terrible- way salty and a weird texture. The crab Rangoon and fried rice were very good.

We order here at least twice a month, and love the food. Its the best take out Chinese we've found on the ne side. That said, don't expect amazing service, and be sure to check your order before you leave. The underage girl who works the counter loathes everyone who walks in the door and doesn't always pay attention. But, we can't find better food, so we keep going back when we have date night in.

Good fast service. Occasionally misses something in the order but always will correct the issue.

I *love* Happy Dragon for Chinese food. Their General Tso's is the absolute best I've ever had. I've also really enjoy their Mushu Chicken and Sesame Chicken, and their Crab Rangoon is delicious, if a bit sweet. The service is fast and friendly. Can't miss with this place.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
