Well, this visit didn't go well. I was in the mood for healthiness, so I ordered the "Green Smoothie Goodness"... which is supposed to come with spinach, non-fat frozen yogurt, bananas and a touch of honey. There was only one person on duty and she was clueless... she rang me up for the large smoothie and then stood around confused for a moment before asking me to tell her the ingredients that are in the green smoothie. So, I read them to her as they were listed on the counter top placard. She then disappeared for a while in the back before returning to tell me they don't have any spinach. I am now approaching being late for my flight, so I quickly decide to just settle for the banana strawberry (bananaberry) smoothie rather than have her attempt a credit card refund. It was delicious, but definitely not the healthy choice I stopped in for. BOTTOM LINE: Untrained personnel, delicious bananaberry smoothie.

a smoothie place in the airport? Hell yes. Vegans, head here for the green smoothie sub yogurt for lemon juice. It's delightful

The Indy airport, after security, is one of the worst airports for decent, fast food selection. If you want healthy on top of that, it's basically impossible. Typically, I'd rate green leaf as a 2ish star. But, it checks the box for fast, healthy, and decent, so I'm giving it 4. What it doesn't check is frugal. My salad and a fruit cup was $20. The salad did have bacon and chicken and all of the vegetables I wanted, but that's pretty pricey even for the airport. Overall, I'm sure I'll eat it again because it is basically the only fast and healthy option in the Indy A terminal. Perhaps next time I'll go the sandwich and soup route.

I ordered the pesto sandwich and bananerry smoothie and was very much satisfied with the flavor and the amount it filled me. I had a good two hours waiting for my next flight so I definitely recommend anyone who is hungry and enjoys a good flavored sandwich to try it. Make sure you have enough time though because it does take a little bit of waiting (for anyone in a hurry).

As Joanna T. says it's a good healthy option in an airport otherwise marked with Mcdonalds and fatty foods. I was about to begin my day of traveling (2 flights; one too short for any meals to be offered -the other not offering any free food) and I wanted something to fill my stomach, but it was 7am and I didn't want a burger or anything heavy or greasy. I opted for the Caribbean-Berry smoothie, and my boyfriend got the Superfruit ($4.99 each). I also went with a bagel and cream cheese ($2.00). The smoothies were yummy, it filled the whole (and slightly emptied the wallet), and was able to sustain me until I got back to Los Angeles. A little pricey overall, but I would visit again, I appreciate having the option.

Don't eat here. They're filthy- can't pass a health inspection. You're better off eating from a vending machine and getting some food at your destination.

A good and much appreciated healthy option in the Indy airport. I travel a lot and usually the only options I have are McDonalds, Chilis or some other garbage so it made me very happy to build my own salad. There were a decent amount of toppings to pick from and lots of dressing choices. If you don't have the time for that, there are grab + go salads and wraps available. Or they'll make you a smoothie or serve you some fro-yo.

Grabbing a healthy salad to take on the plane. Always bring your own food on board! Green Leafs & Bananas here at Indy airport offers a nice alternative to the fatty fast food options. You can get a smoothie made from real fruits and juices or a fresh salad with the ingrediants of your choice. Sure, it's kind of a healthy fast food place but at least you don't have that gross sluggish feeling after eating a greasy burger and fries before boarding. They also have a variety of bottled drinks and sodas, wraps, chips, etc. Counter staff was indifferent and just went about the business of taking and preparing my order. Fine by me.

Since I travel alot of work, I get to eat in a lot of places. Unfortunately, I have to catch a plane at the butt-crack of dawn on Mondays and will die by lunch if I don't eat. As much as I love greasy McDonalds and Latte's, I would much rather prefer a fresh fruit smoothie made from Low-fat yogurt. That being said, I always make it a point to stop by this place in the morning. There is rarely a line there and they're fast to turnaround orders. Apparently, (rumor has it) that they have stuff other than smoothies but I have yet to try anything else. I look at it all when I go and it looks tasty. Thats as far as I've gone... The workers at the counter are kinda rude and could care less about me but thats ok. I'll forgive them since they handle my food... Back at the old Indy airport, I would fly American Airlines and they had a Smoothie King right by my gate. That was the bomb but it was grossly mismanaged and the people were rude, too. Making smoothies must be the worst job in the world... Smoothie King didn't reopen in the new airport so I took my smoothie addiction to this lovely joint. Not quite the same but definitely worth checking out! Try the Super Fruit or Pina Colada smoothie with a protein boost.

So here's the deal with this place: You could either stuff yourself with Qdoba and cheap burgers and then be super uncomfortable in the ever shrinking coach class of your upcoming flight, or you could head to Bananas and get a nice wrap or smoothie. You'll be glad you did, it'll keep you full and feeling great until you land and then you can go get a proper meal. I watched the guy make my smoothie, it wasn't a bunch of crappy syrup-soaked canned fruits. It was nice frozen fruit, milk, and yogurt. Very very delicious. I will definitely be hitting this place up next time I'm in the Indy airport (which hopefully isn't for a long time)!
