I mean, it's a buffet. I'm here to eat, so as long as the food is a plenty I'm cool. However, I didn't pay $2 for a drink to drink it once. I know you're not real wait staff, but come on. I don't expect attentive service, but more than just to swipe the ketchup and swap out the napkin holders would be appreciated. No tip. *drops the mic*

My friends and I used to call buffets like this "the trough" because it's where animals go to fill up. It's a highly appropriate name for this place because the animals don't care about the quality of the food as much as the quantity of the food. And quantity you have here. The selection is impressive, especially for Indianapolis. For the price, you can't even get an entree and appetizer from a mediocre chain like Applebees, TGIF, etc. The quality of the various dishes is hit and miss, but with the huge selection you can only hit the higher quality dishes. Go to the trough, especially when you're hungry.

I'm not a huge fan of buffets anyway, and this is so not the type of place I would normally go, but we were meeting friends so I went with the flow. So, I guess there is plenty of stuff for vegetarians and vegans, but it's just not very good. The veggies are either way over- or undercooked, and very bland. The only reason this place gets 2 stars (and not 1) is because they at least had some interesting salad bar toppings. I just wish the mixed greens didn't already look half dead.

This was one of the worst lunch experiences ever!! I'm not fond of the whole buffet thing to begin with but in my opinion this was beyond mediocre. It has solidified the reason I don't eat at Golden Corral. There was a lot to choose from I will give them that, however it was all cold. Not only was it cold but the fried/breaded foods were soggy. I love breaded okra and won't pass it up if I see it, not many places have it. I wish I would have passed on it and everything else. Waiter brought out our drink refills and I noticed something floating in my cup, upon further inspection there was dried food stuck to the inside of it. Completely grossed out will not be returning ever again and if it were possible I'd give the place negative stars instead of the 1 star rating it received.

QUANTITY NOT QUALITY Golden Corral, this one in particular, is not much of a dining experience. It is -- as the name suggests -- grazing. There are plenty of selections from salad items, sides, main courses and desserts. Iced tea, coffee and soft drinks with refills by dining room staff (who deserve courtesy and tips). The place is not always the cleanest, depending on how sloppy we guests get. I'd pass on the supposed high-dollar items (e.g., poor quality, poorly cooked steak). Expect to pay $15 per adult before tip. Keep in mind, you'll only get what you pay for. Happy grazing!

This is not a fine culinary masterpiece, but I definitely left with a full belly. There was plenty of food and most of it was adequate. There were only two things I couldn't eat ... The Mac n cheese and cake. The best dessert was the fudge. I didn't try the chocolate fountain, cotton candy or ice cream because I was too full, but I saw many others looking like they enjoyed them. The service was friendly, and I was never with less than at least half a glass of sweet tea on the table. The price was ok, and I left full. What more could I ask for a buffet?

Overall, I didn't have a bad experience at this Golden Corral. Despite my past two previous trips to a Golden Corral (both different locations but NOT this one), where I received food poisoning, I feel fine the night after. When we got there, everything was going great. We got there about 8:30 after a baseball game. The food was plenty, hot, and going quick. The service was great which lasted the whole visit. As the night went on, once I was headed back up for my 3rd or so plate, they were out of rolls and pizza. No worries, I ate the other food. 20 minutes later, no rolls and no pizza. Rolls are my favorite part, so I asked the meat carver if they were cooking up anymore rolls for the night, because he was the only one I could get and they started wiping down machines and utensils. He brought out a tray of burnt rolls and aggressively asked "You want one? Huh? You want one of these?" I declined and he responded by cussing me (or the rolls?) out in Spanish and throwing the rolls in the trash, pan included. Also, the ice cream melted in 45 seconds and they washed their floor behind the buffet by pouring mop buckets of soapy water all over the floor. However, I left full and haven't experienced any food-Bourne illnesses to this point, which I consider a small victory. Thanks Jeff Foxworthy.

I was mistaken i thought buffetts were supposed to have food? Nasty mess. One woman was barking (no offense to my canine friends) orders over a microphone to the woman stsnding standing next to her?

This place is an absolute dump! Should have got out when me shoes were sticking to the floor in the cash register line. Food was old and dry in the buffet containers. Dessert counter was a war zone. I lost my appetite before I started eating. Rated at a one star because that is as low a rating as possible with yelp. Stay away, this location needs to shut down!

Food was dried and crusty in the pans on the buffet. Salad bar had half the crock frozen and the top not...crocks had obviously not been regularly changed per Golden Corral A-Team teachings when stores open. I used to work at Golden Corral and either they dropped their standards or this is just a shitty location. Management did nothing but sit and cackle for the entire hour I was there with guests and was to the point of obnoxious. Couldn't sit in the areas close to the wait drink stations - it stunk like moldy nasty dish clothes. RUN.

My favorite place to eat, especially on a sunday afternoon outing with my family and friends. Ive been goin to Golden Corral for nearly 15 years its a great all you can eat buffet. And a couple of years ago, I say about 3 years ago the change the buffet. They have a NEW Candy and Friut Dip CHOCOLATE WATERFALL and a few more great desserts and New Food Selection. A great place to treat yourself and a great outing place to share and spend good fun time with family and friends.

I am laying on the couch as I write this reply, trying to resist the urge to hurl. The food, the restrooms, the silverware and staff... All dirty. I went for Easter breakfast since that is where my grandparents wanted to go. Unfortunately I left after having one plate of of food. I had to bail due to a horrid smell and a nauseous feeling that I got directly after eating. The price may be cheap for the large selection of unlimited food, but it wasn't worth the $10 for the small plate of food that made us sick. I will not be returning.

I really enjoyed the BBQ chicken. The fresh made dish of Cajun tilipia, linguine, and lemon piccata as well as a side of spicy Alfredo was good. Oh, the cotton candy was great -- first time I've ever seen it at any restaurant. Hush puppies, fruit, and veggies were good. I did not think the chocolate wonderfall was as great as they advertised. Worth $11 for dinner on weeknight.

The last time I came to Indianapolis(back to 2009) we ate at a different Golden Corral and I was highly disappointed. So I was a little hesistant at first when the boyfriend said he wanted to go to Golden Corral for dinner on one of our nights while visiting again and I can say that this time around was much better! Pros: I tried both the terrayaki glazed steak and the steak made for order, and both were very juicy! The rolls were delicious as always! Loved the chocolate foundation! And service was decent. Onto the negatives: A lot of the veggies(including the lettuce) on the salad bar looked a little wilted, the popcorn shrimp were not deveined(sorry but I don't want to eat crap), it seems like they took awhile to replenish food items, and some food items did not look very appetizing. Although there's a lot more cons than pros listed I would come back to this location because it's definitely worth the money and you can usually find something that is delicious here!

This place is ok for a buffet. Great service that come and collect your plates. Also a guy who comes around making balloon animals.

I rated The Journey a few months back and said it was "better than Golden Corral anyday" but after dinner at G.C. last night I changed my mind. I mean really, for $12.95, there is a lot to choose from, at least its fresh (unlike The Journeys sushi and sashimi), and I can carry a real conversation with the servers. And GC would never kick you out to seat folks with reservations (i hope.) My first plate i filled up with a nothing special salad but added nuts and dried cranberries, and the second with popcorn shrimp, brussel sprouts and other greens and stuff that could have been great with some garlic or spices. Oh and a slider which tasted great. Then I was full. You can also fill up a doggie bag to take home instead of eating there. I got my $12.95 worth.

Not the best all you can eat buffet. I was really disappointed with the tough pork chops, dry steaks and lack of flavor. The dressing and gravy was decent and so was the ham. It is better than Sizzler, that's for sure. This place is very popular with the large mega-church crowd and lots of super-sized folk getting off their large church buses lining up to eat. The place does have potential how ever. They have plenty of floor space, good location, friendly service and decent prices. May I suggest spicing things up a bit and marinating your dishes just a tad bit longer.

I've eaten at Golden Corrals before & can usually find something vegetarian to eat aside from salad. However, every single thing I tried was dry and flavourless. My husband, who does eat meat, said the same thing. It's not like we came in at 3 pm. We came in right during the lunch rush. Food should've been hot and fresh, but none of it was. I ended up eating a bit of salad, though it took a few tries with dressings. The blue cheese tasted like mayonnaise, so I ended up going with the least-offensive Italian dressing. This place was horrible; even the desserts were severely lackluster. The apathetic cashier annoyed me as well. I have many friends with a lot of visible piercings and tattoos, but I always though that in a restaurant it was the usual standard policy that you can't have nail polish(chipped hot pink nails, especially) or facial piercings, because most people think it looks unprofessional. I have no problems with piercings; I've some myself, but the attitude was quite unprofessional. There's no need to seem so bored, inconvenienced, and world-weary as you're taking my money. If you don't like your job, quit. The food is probably the reason they make you pay in advance before getting any food. They don't want customers refusing to pay for the swill. The only thing that tasted OK were the mashed potatoes, which are probably not even made from scratch, given the quality presented elsewhere. Apparently, people like this crap, since they stay in business. I guess it's quantity over quality for them, but definitely not for me. I'll never be back.
