I base my opinion of a Chinese restaurant on one thing, and one thing only: General Tso's Chicken. The General was not smiling favorably on Golden China. I'm pretty sure what they gave me was Colonel Tso... Probably Private Tso. It is some of he worst Tso chicken in the area. On a scale from Wowzers to Sudden Death, this effort ranked as "wish I had gotten Burger King." The 2 stars are for the excellent egg roll and the communication skills of the gentleman who took my order. Ordering was a breeze, eating was the difficult part. Needless to say, I'm going to be searching around for a different place to get my Chinese chicken. I highly recommend you do the same and avoid the Gen Tso at Gol Chin.

Really nice people running this place! They don't serve a buffet, and the food is always fresh cooked. Worth the wait!

I love me some crab rangoon, and this place had excellent ones (I killed an order all by my bitty self). This little store front, primarily take-out restaurant is very near my abode on the Westside of Indy (whoot for the Westside!), so I actually walked over. The staff was very friendly. I waited a max of 7 minutes for my boat-load of food. Ended up ordering Mongolian beef dinner. It had the spicy pepper sign on the menu, but of course I ignored that and then quickly regretted. It was spicy! Keep in mind I'm weak about HOT, but I sucked it up. Overall the food was hot, yummy, and the prices are reasonable. I'd go back, but it is on par with most other Chinese take-out places.

Great lunch special prices. Entree including rice, plus either a soup, or an egg roll or a can of soda, all for $5.00 including tax. Wow. I haven't tried them yet, but they also offer Pad Thai dishes: vegetable, chicken, pork, shrimp, beef, seafood. Carry-out or dine-in, no delivery. Dine-in food is served in the aluminum to-go tub with clear plastic lid. Utensils are cheapy plastic. Canned soft drinks, no fountain. 6 tables-for-four. Cleaner than the average strip mall walk-up place. It was recently detail-cleaned or remodeled. Friendly service, sweet family runs it. Not in a great location, off the beaten path, but if you work or live in the area it's nice. They're on the corner of West Morris and South Girls School Road. Same strip mall as the gas station on the corner. For the price and cleanliness, I'd even go a little out of my way to get there. Hours: Mon to Thurs: 10:30 am - 10:30 pm. Fri & Sat: 10:30 am - 11:00 pm. Sun: 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Fax: 317-390-0689.

This is a decent place. Convenient because it is so close to my house and that crab ragoon yum. One thing that I noticed is that even though I order food and get there after 30 minutes they don't start cooking it until I get there. Then I have to wait even longer. Maybe they do this because people were not showing up? I don't know, either way if you are craving some Chinese then check this place out.

Typical chineese carry-out. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. Place was clean, food was what I expected, OK. Vegetables were fresh but I'd guess that everything else except the rice came from the freezer. The woman who took my order barely spoke English. Communication was tough and in the end I'm not even sure if I got what I ordered, General Tzo's Chicken. It certainal wasn't at all spicey. The lunch special came with an egg roll, but no Coke. Where's the Coke? Asking for it would have been a hassle so I let it slide.. Not a big Chineese food fan. Probably won't be back as food almost this good can be had just about anywhere.

Can you tell I love Chinese food? Was dying for some Chinese food and was far from my regular spots but Golden China did not disappoint. Very cute little restaurant, food was hot and fresh, and I can't wait to go back. Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Location: 4/5

Most of the food is standard Chinese food you'll find at most Chinese restaurants. They have several items you don't see at most places. I ordered take out. Service was fast. I like the variety of dishes they have. Food was quite good and at a fair price. Free egg roll or soda. The serving size was a bit bigger than I'm used to so I couldn't finish when I got home. Will go back when the occasion arises.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
