My review is for the juices only. I got the Mighty Detox, which is juiced pineapple, apple, cucumber, celery and ginger. My juice was very good, if not a little spicy -- probably because of the ginger. The juices only come in one size, which I believe is 16 ounces, but that's plenty. They make your juice after you order it, so it's very fresh and refreshing.

Over-priced, "healthy fast food" place. They have a range of salads, wraps, and rice/noodle bowls and promote the use of energizing/healthy ingredients like brown rice, quinoa, and veggies. All entree base prices are vegetarian with a few extra bucks to add a protein of your choice (steak, shrimp, chicken or tofu). I got the Buddha's Satay bowl with added chicken and an iced tea. It's sad that the tea was probably my favorite part (mint green tea). The bowl had rice noodles, tiny bits of veggies including broccoli, peanuts, a few small chunks of chicken and an overly watery sauce. To get any flavor at all, I had to continually stir the bowl to ensure each bite got sauce on it, and it was pretty much 95% noodles (very, very little chicken and veggies).

Great menu with ridiculously slow and sub par service. I ordered a burrito 20 minutes ago and am still waiting. It's Tuesday night people! I would highly recommend going to Chipotle next door.

A great healthy fast concept with minimal waste. I am in town on business from the west coast and wish Freshii would expand there! I came for lunch 2 days in a row and had the falafel bowl and then the vegan chili over quinoa. Both were perfect portions and left me craving for the good tastes.

The service here is so slow. They need to anticipate peak times at the mall. Food is pretty good but never worth the wait.

I like Freshii for a quick, relatively cheap and healthy meal. I always get the superbiotic vegan salad and keep it vegan, because frankly they charge too much to add protein. They have many healthy options, but please look at the nutrition facts on the website before you make a decision. Freshii is a place where you can easily be tricked into thinking you are eating healthy, but look again, you aren't. The Buddha's Satay as a base is hovering around 780 kcals. (Upon looking now, the official Freshii site has taken down the nutrition facts). Freshii touts what is in the food that will "energize" and "buzzword" you. Just be smart, ok?

Freshii is a step up from typical mall food court fare. I will agree it is pricey, but the portions are huge - one bowl is enough food for two people (or leftovers, if you eat near the end of your mall visit). I love the goat cheese and avocado in the Bliss Bowl.

Over-rated. Over priced. My 16 year old couldn't finish her juice - it was bad. My bowl was 1/3 filled and mostly with rice. No Bueno.

Price is a little high for its quality. Brown rice + veggies is always good for me. I had the Warrior Bowl. If you're vegan/ vegetarian and on-the-go, this place is quick and tasty enough.

Rather expensive for a less than fresh Ivy salad. Dressing was good, but not worth 7.49.

"Eat this, not that," I thought to myself when looking at the long line at the adjacent Chipotle. After perusing the Yelp reviews cautioning against Freshii, I initially decided against eating there, but in the spirit of time ended up doing so. The experience lived up to the reviews from non-natives to Indianapolis who have higher expectations of DIY fresh foods. For a whopping $17, I ordered a detox juice and salad. I would highly recommend the juices as it is difficult to screw up a simple concoction of vegetables. However, the salad tasted like a meat eater's version of vegetarian food. Even with falafel, chick peas, corn, and peppers, this salad was bland and lacked that crisp feeling I love about salads. Maybe it's too much to ask for a food court to provide quick and healthy options. But with more people looking to reduce their waist line and improve their dietary habits, places like Freshii at the forefront of our dining options could fill a much needed niche. Bottom line, get the juice and stay on your order. You might forget the taste of what you got, but you'll feel it in your next credit card statement.

Wow, Yelp, you make me feel validated because apparently we all agree! This place tastes like nothing. Really. No flavor what so ever can be found in this rather expensive fair. Vegetables DO NOT have to be tasteless. So my biggest gripe about this bland joint is that Freshii gives veggies and eating fresh a bad name.

  • Brittany S.

I was hoping for a light and refreshing bowl of veggie-filled noodles but found myself slurping up a bland, lackluster soup that took 10-15 minutes for them to throw together when I was the only customer they had. My soup was filled with a lemongrass broth, rice noodles and fresh crisp carrots. The combo of the long wait, higher prices paired with meh food left me thinking, "next time I'll go for the tofu burrito at chipotle next door."

Stopped by here for lunch and I got a tex Mex burrito. It was just blah! For tex me's I expected some kick considering it was Tex Mex and it was not there. I honestly felt like I was eating the paper wrapper bc there was no flavor. I was sad but bc The Fashion Mall makes you eat healthy you have limited options of where to eat and ever everyone gravitates towards Chipolte. I have had salads from Freshii before and they are not horrible but I think they need to reevaluate the cost. Plus they were out of iced tea so I ended up having to wait in the Chipolte line anyways to get a tea

I'm not usually a fan of food courts, but this one at The Fashion Mall seems like it should be a step above other malls, so I decided to give this place a try. I ended up with a noodle bowl with veggies. I felt like the noodles were a bit plain (and really needed some seasoning,) but the vegetables were quite good, and that's really the reason I got the dish. If I could have customized it, I would have skipped the noodles and tried to get away with a bowl of vegetables only. If you find yourself in the food court at the Fashion Mall, this is probably the healthiest option you have.

Freshii is a great healthier option if you are at the Castleton Mall. I tried the Kale Effect Bowl. It was so spicy and delicious! My niece ordered the Smokehouse Burrito which was huge and tasty! I love the fact that most options are vegetarian and you can add meat if that's your thing. ;) they have a water spout in front for self serve water which was great because I needed to go back for more water! Though I'm pretty sure the cashier was reprimanded for not suggesting drinks.

Being a bit of a health food nut, I try to make healthy decisions when it comes to eating quick lunches and dinners out. So you can imagine how a restaurant in the mall's food court named Freshii appears to a person who doesn't want the grease of a burger joint or the calories of a fast food taco bar. Plus, with a mission statement like: "To help citizens of the world live longer & healthier by making healthy food convenient & affordable", I was convinced immediately that this was the place for me. But, it ended up being not quite what I expected in terms of quick, healthy food. One of their salads caught me eye because it had kale, tomatoes, and avocados in it -- a nice summer kind of salad. Sadly the salad I was expecting didn't live up to my expectations. To be fair, I am not one to put a lot of cheese or dressing on my greens. I typically like to enjoy the taste of the actual veggies themselves and not the calorific additives. So I will usually ask for the dressing on the side. Big mistake here in assuming a "healthy" fast food place would use only a dash of dressing. What I ended up getting was a bunch of greens just drenched in the stuff. When I went back to the counter to ask the kid to remake it without dressing, I was given a very disgruntled grumble that I presume was meant to mean "sure...no problem." (He didn't look that happy to be working there anyway when I first bought the salad.) The second salad wasn't much better. It had all cheese and no avocados or tomatoes. I probably could have complained again, but I didn't want to be "that customer", not to mention I didn't want to deal with the disgruntled employee. I think perhaps this was just a day where Freshii wasn't on par for many things because I can see it being good. But, on the other hand, I have been to Freshii a couple times before this and it still wasn't quite what I expected.

Happy to see a healthy option at the mall. Freshly squeezed juices with ginger, kale, celery and spinach on the standard ingredients list (vs. smoothie stalls that sound healthy, but are largely made out of pre-made mixes). On the food side - salads, wraps, burritos, soups. Start with a mix of veggies with fancier options of avocados, roasted bell peppers and corn mixed with the standard lettuce, tomato and cucumber fare. Add meats or shrimp. My wrap tasted delightfully fresh and was well supplemented by Detox fresh squeezed juice (prepare for a healthy ginger zing!) A couple of options for a quick snack, including yogurt parfait. Loved that the yogurt was truly Greek plain type.

How refreshing to have healthy in the food court at Keystone Mall. Eat. Energize. Shop some more. I had a Spicy Thai burrito...quinoa, cabbage, carrots, cilantro, edamame, spicy lemongrass sauce. It was good...I would eat here every time I shopped if I lived in the area and just wanted to grab something. Then I would wash it down with a Mighty Detox - pineapple, ginger, apple, celery, cucumber. I'm not usually this clean living. Price was very reasonable as well. Left me extra to spend on martinis!

If I could leave less than a star, I would. Freshii seems to be a great idea of a restaurant for wealthy suburban hipster moms, but falls short in performance. The staff is not only rude, but also makes you feel like an inconvenience for paying $14 for a meal and drink, which is obscene pricing even for the fashion mall. I would be willing to pay a little extra for quality, but Freshii does not meet a standard of quality in any way. The wait is too long and the food is mediocre. The staff seems permanently irritable and annoyed. It is clear that this restaurant cannot handle the demands of a fast-paced environment. I would just hit up Chipotle instead.

Just had a weird experience and worst juice ever! The only guy there that took my order was on the phone texting before he could come up and take orders. While making my order the girl kept looking for stuff to put in the drink like they were running out of stuff and kept asking for help from her other coworkers. After my drink was ready she ran it under water in the sink before handing it to me (I would normally be like ok that's weird but I get it some of the juice spilled on the side what ever but have never seen that practiced by anyone ever.) then my drink was orange and tasted like shitty city water and a hint of carrot. I never saw her put kale, just a small handful of spinach a carrot a half a lemon. Oh by the way, the guy that was preparing something in a blender kept using his phone while having his "food safety gloves on" yuk!!. I am very disappointed. Took one sip and tossed my drink

Been coming here for a while but they really don't take time to make your food quality. Got a salad tonight and the avocado had skin on it and part of a pit. Last time, their rice and quinoa wasn't fully cooked and was crunchy. Had to return both items each time. They need to not rush, take time and rethink their quality. I won't return after the second time even though I really liked their concept.

A healthy option in the food court of the Fashion Mall. I had some sort of Vegan wrap (can't remember the name) and it was solid. Maybe a little pricey for what it was but good. I will definitely go back and try some other options as the bowls sound really intriguing.

Great Experience today at the Food court of the Mall. The cashiers were super friendly and helped me make my decision.Without very many choices, I decided to choose the healthiest option in the mall. I am glad I did. I had a Buffalo Chicken Salad. It had all the flavors of Buffalo wings and hit the spot. It was exactly what I expected it to taste like. I work downtown and wish we had a location near my office. That would help me stick to my diet plan. Thanks for giving us a healthy option.

I ordered the Lemongrass boost bowl, with rice noodles, bean sprouts, cucumbers, carrots & peanuts; I added on tofu, as a protein. I was excited to watch my food preparer shake the dickens out of my bowl, and was hoping for the best. Once received, the bowl itself was a little underwhelming. I could not really distinguish the lemongrass sauce, and had to add Sriracha to boost the flavor. There were ton of noodles and bean sprouts, but not much of the other veggies, and I felt there could have been more tofu (especially for the upcharge amount). The whole thing tasted of Sriracha and peanuts, and I wouldn't order it again. Well, perhaps I'd try it again...if more veggies and tofu were added, the sauce flavor amplified, and the bland rice noodles switched out for soba or similar. My shopping partner also shrugged her shoulders at her harvest salad, which was advertised as coming with beets, apples, goat cheese, and an assortment of other goodies. Again, her salad's ingredient mix didn't meet expectations. When initially reading over the menu, everything sounded so fantastic and healthy-tasting, but the actual execution needs improvement. Service was standard/okay. Afterwards, I felt only vaguely satiated. I'd probably give Freshii another chance, at least until the Chipotle opens.

This place is in the food court of the Fashion Mall. The have salads, burritos, soups... you can add a protein for extra. I got a Tex Mex burrito (whole wheat tortilla, brown rice, black beans, corn, avocado, cheese and pico + tofu). It was pretty good... tasted fresh but I really needed something spicy to add to it.... maybe some jalapenos next time.

Freshii sure is not! $9 for a salad with 2 tablespoons of avocado and lettuce soaked to a wilt with too much dressing? Tasty dressing but too much. A bit more protein without an up charge would be nice too. But the biggest problem is food that doesn't seem fresh when you're name is Freshii... Truly inedible.

  • Eryne R.

SO bad. I ordered a Bliss Bowl, which hardly lived up to the name. The bowl was at least 90% quinoa, meaning that I had to dig through it to find any of the other components. They left out the avocado entirely, and when I asked for it they gave me a little chunk with brown spots. I appreciate the idea they're going for, but the ingredients are not fresh and the bowl was definitely not worth $9. It was pretty flavorless until I smothered it with Sriracha, which was really the only redeeming part.

I am in town about once a month for business and find this a great alternative to the many wonderful steak places I've also tried. Especially on longer trips, there are days I just want something light and healthy and Freshii definitely fits the bill

Had the lemongrass soup which was very good. You typically don't see any Asian dishes at a mall food court ("bourbon chicken" from the Generic Asian Grill doesn't count).

Very good healthy food. Had a burrito with Quinoa instead of rice-excellent! The ingredients were very fresh and vibrant. We need more chains like this to replace traditional fast food. Thumbs up to a great idea.

When ordering the Smokehouse Burrito without beans, they left off the beans... but also the cheese, barbecue sauce, and the flavor. I would have expected better from a burrito totaling $10. This was the most bland tasting burrito I've ever tried - the forgotten ingredients notwithstanding.

The first time I went here was pretty terrible, because I was given a bad/weird recommendation by the person working (weird guido/frat dude) & then overcharged for it. I ended up paying $14 for a small amount of gross food. However, they gave me a free entree card and after a better experience the second time around, I have since been back a handful of times. If you are in the Castleton area, it is by far one of the healthiest food choices. There is also a location inside the Fashion Mall. I recommend the Buffalo Tofu wrap & the tropical smoothie. :)

  • Steve W.

Delicious, Healthy, filling, but on the expensive side. If you add a protein to a bowl or salad you are paying $10/dish without a side or drink. However, here you do get what you pay for. Get a bowl, switch quinoa for the rice and kale for the spinach. Toss in some chicken or shrimp. You won't regret it.

Came here for dinner and ordered fiesta salad. Took forever... Could've waited in line for another place, ordered and eaten my food in the amount of time I waited for my salad. Funny thing is there were multiple people in there just standing around and only two people taking orders and making the food. I think next time I'll pass for something else.

On the bright side, mall food courts have clearly evolved. Mall food chains in general are much, much healthier than they were when I was a kid, and the one at the Fashion Mall is much better than most. This is a great thing. And I like the *idea* of Freshii. You could certainly do worse than the reality of Freshii's burritos, salads, and noodle bowls. But here's why I won't be going back: 1. The food was overpriced and wasn't very good. The kiosk is painted bright green and adorned with photos of fresh-looking produce. One might think from looking at it that they were going to get a super-fresh vegetable-laden meal there. But should you order the Aztec burrito with added tofu, as I did last week, you will not find one shred of vegetable in there. You will instead find the driest, most tasteless burrito. And you will have paid $9 for it. (This, by the way, is highway robbery if you compare it to the $6 I used to pay for a house-sized "super burrito" at the local taqueria when I lived in SF). 2. The service was not very good. They had forgotten to put the sauce on my burrito, and when I returned to the counter to let them know another person came up and complained of a similar problem with their noodle bowl. And it's not like this oversight came because they were mobbed with business. They were not busy. 3. There are much better options in the Fashion Cafe. It makes me wonder whether the owners of Freshii knew what kind of neighbors they were going to have in that food court. Who's going to order Freshii's frozen yogurt when Pinkberry is right next door? And who will go to Freshii for a burrito once Chipotle comes in? Chipotle's prices are more reasonable and they are very generous with the veggies.
