This is one of my favorite places for a burger hands down. For lunch, its a bit more expensive then other options but you get your money's worth here. The little burger and fries fill me up no problem and I typically can eat a pretty good amount. The normal size burger is just almost too big (or most of the fries will be wasted). The Regular fries are meant for two people. I nearly ordered a Larger for my mom and I yesterday and they said its meant for 4 people (its like $4-5 here). All the toppings are free which makes it nice. They also have two of the 120+ choice new age coke machine which rocks. Also, don't forget the free peanuts! If you are in town and want some lunch, try five guys! You won't be disappointed!

tasty burgers and fresh cut fries. Love the fresh toppings on the burgers including the raw (not pickled) jalapenos!! Plus they have that cool coke machine that lets you add flavors to just about any coke product!

Good food! The fries were fresh and we got more than expected. Loved the free peanuts as well. I will definitely be going back!

Meh. First couple times i went here i was like "WOW this is great"! But after the 5th or 6th time its just another sloppy burger. The meat doesnt seem to have much flavor and can be a bit dry most occasions, its the topings and fries that seem to add flavor. My main BEEF is that the fries are hit or miss. I like em crispy and if they sit too long in the bag they get really soggy and thats unedible to me. At least they are fresh though and do get a big helping. Yes you get a good helping of burger and fry here but i cant walk out of here spending less than $10, more like $13 or so. Havent been back in a while, for a few bucks less i can go get a Culvers, which i still do quite and is just as good in my opinion, just different.

I wish I didn't love this place as much as I do because I'm sure my arteries are suffering for it. The burgers are awesome, everything a greasy cheeseburger should be. And the fries are so good, I wasn't surprised to learn that they are pretty much the least healthy fast-food fries out there. It's more expensive than most fast food joints but it's worth it.

The first time that I ever went to a Five Guys was when we were living in NJ. It was myself and my husband, along with my slightly younger brother. All three of us ordered a regular sized burger (as opposed to their "little" burgers) and we each got an order of regular french fries. When we got our order, we learned that that was a HUGE error... We had SOOO much food. What I know now, that I didn't know then... is that their fries are measured out into their cups, but then another cup of fries is thrown in on top of them... So you basically get a pound of fries in a "regular" order. When my husband and I go together now... we each get one of their little burgers... and we split a REGULAR order of fries... and we both leave completely stuffed. In regards to their burgers, they are absolutely fantastic and really taste like a burger that you would make on the grill at home. You have tons of choices for toppings, all of them "free" (in that there is no upcharge for adding stuff). You can really get the burger however you like it, which is great. As far as this specific location, it's very close to our house, so I'm always worried about them going out of business. They are located in the shopping center with the PetSmart (next to The Burlington Coat Factory). It's kind of a crappy location, and I always think they would do better if they were in a more visible spot... or if they had some better signage. I'm certain that lots of people either have no idea that they are there, or have no idea what Five Guys even is. Either way, they have been pretty empty whenever we've been in, though I hope it's just because we don't eat at totally conventional times. *Finally. A note for those with peanut allergies, or for children of parents with peanut allergies... Five Guys uses peanut oil in their frying AND offers up roasted in-shell peanuts to eat while you wait for your food to be made... So Five Guys would definitely be an off-limits, treacherous place in that sense.

Notice there are no review under 3 stars. Yep. The food is that good. Order a burger, order some fries, leave with left overs for two meals. Not a girls place to eat so dont think date place.

Decent burger chain. The food is fast, tasty and fresh. The portions are definitely huge and you get a great amount of food for the money you're paying. The customization of toppings is also a nice touch. That being said, the burger is a huge calorie bomb, and the cajun fries were mushy. Also, I feel like it's a wannabe In-n-Out. Overall, if you're looking for a burger here in Bloomington, Five Guys is a good place to go, just bring your appetite and your sweatpants.

I went to five guys on the word of my gf who swears they are good. I have to say, I was not disappointed. It is a very family friendly place and the aroma hits you the moment you crack open the door. This place pays homage to the saying: Do one thing and do it right! They sell hamburgers and hot dogs. PERIOD. I had a cheeseburger(which is a double patty burger) and the toppings(which are included in the price of the sandwich) I had were jalapenos, mushrooms, lettuce, mayo, ketchup and mustard. The burger was soooooo delicious. All of the toppings were appreciably fresh too. Sandwich consistency was nice and sloppy, just the way I like my burgers! I mean it had that authentic 'homemade' taste like when your grandpa cooked you a burger as a kid. Add to that, they have wonderful, fresh-cut french fries! We opted for the 'cajun' style which were skin-on and dusted with seasoned salt. Note, go with the smaller size as their large could also be billed as family sized. If you are in the mood for a great home style Burger and fries in a modest, clean and comfortable atmosphere then you'd do well to give the Five Guys a try.

While this update isn't for the Five Guys in Indy, near Greenwood, its for the location in Arlington, VA, near the Arlington Court House Metro Stop. It was late, in the middle of a snow storm this past January, and I was looking for someplace near my hotel that was open, The Five Guys was a block away and I ordered the small hamburger and fries. Wow is was it great. Custom made to order with all the fixings you love and some great hot fries! For DC, it is a cheap meal. In Indy, its a little expensive, but the prices in Indy are quickly catching up....I only wish the housing prices in Indy could catch the prices in DC.

i like 5 guys. good food. no extra fees for extra toppings - yeah! this location has friendlier service than others - they often even bring the food out to you! very nice.

They make probably the best burgers I can get anywhere. They taste so great and they are huge. They make your hamburger customized, so tell them what you want on it and they'll give it to you for no extra charge. And they give you so many fries. I have never left there hungry.

Hard as I might try to avoid burger chains, I am powerless once I'm within a half-mile radius of Five Guys. The greasy gravitational pull draws closer and closer until I am forced to order a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, pickle, grilled onions, mayo, and ketchup. Thankfully for my heart and waist line, the nearest Five Guys is nearly 10 miles from my house and I pass by them infrequently.

Awesome burgers and half of a damn bag of fries! Greasy and delicious. I highly recommend!

Even though I live in the DC-area, the home of Five Guys, I hadn't tried Five Guys Burgers and Fries since moving there despite hearing its praises. Since I'm in Indy for the Colts-Cowboys game, my dad and I decided on Five Guys for lunch thereby losing my Five Guys "virginity". I have to say that it lived up to the hype. I had the Little Bacon Cheeseburger with all of the regular toppings and fresh jalapenos. We split a regular order of cajun-style fries. The "little" burger was plenty big. The bun was fresh and the perfect bed for the tasty beef patty. All of the toppings were great but the fresh (rather than pickled) jalapenos gave the burger a wonderfully spicy kick. Still, the star of the show were the fries. Mickey D's may have the most popular fries, but Five Guys have the BEST fast-food fries! Hot, crispy, and potatoey goodness! I eat fast food very rarely. However, Five Guys will be at the top of my list the next time I need a fast food burger. Hell, I may just go there for the fries!

I would usually give 5 guys a 4 stars but I had my wife grab me one the other night and it was ridiculously bad. Burger was sloppy as normal but the bun was mush. The fries seemed to be cooked half way. Always I mean always their fries are the #1 thing about the meal. This time they were cold and floppy. Not sure what happened. Maybe it was the 5 min ride home, but I have gotten carryout almost everytime and this time was a huge disappointment. I will take my burger needs over to Teddys Burger Joint.

I'm with Holly.. I agree that the portions are beyond even my little italian grandmother's imagination.. and who can argue cost when you can put just about everything but the kitchen sink on your burger or hotdog.. Not I. Good atmosphere and quick and efficient service. Wouldn't go so far as to say "friendly" simply due to the fact that it really isn't an ample amount of time to gauge that but I've got no complaints there either.. Give me my fries and give them to me quick... never mind the small talk.. Speaking of fries.. INSANE!!! Love the fresh cut as well as the portion control. Well worth the 100 situps I force myself to do after eating them.

Still good. Still on the high side for "burger and fries", but the quality makes it worth the price. A "regular" hamburger here is a double-patty. And is big. If you want a single patty hamburger, get the "little" version. No charge for any toppings, including sauteed mushrooms.

  • Jason R.

A1 + sauteed mushrooms = BEST BURGER I'VE EVER HAD! Their Cajun fries are to die for. Everything is so fresh...

Amazing burgers. Don't let the somewhat fast-food look fool you. Fries are great too. Small fry is enough for 2 people. They fill up the container and then fill up another and pour that on top of the bag.

"I NEED to try Five Guys!!!!!" Dillon was very tired of hearing me say that. And when we drove past one and I yelled "Hey look! Five Guys! I need to try them!" I'm pretty sure he cringed in his seat. So lucky me I finally got to try Five Guys (huh huh huh). The first thing I'd like to say is, be aware that the REGULAR is a double patty and the LITTLE is single patty. I probably should have read the menu closer or maybe not block out what the girl behind the counter was telling us. I was just so excited to be there. I ordered regular w/everything, fries and a drink. And I not lying when I say that I want one of their soda machines in my kitchen. I like having the option of 8 different Sprite flavors, 10 or so different flavored waters, and several different flavors of other soda drinks at a touch of the button. It did take me a while to choose what drink I wanted (raspberry Sprite, yay) and I apologize to the couple that was waiting behind me. The burger was huge (cut mine in half), super messy, very greasy, and OH SO TASTY. There's a possibility that my buds are a little off because I haven't had red meat in a long time and I've been craving it so badly. But no really, it was one of the best burgers I've ever had in my mouth. :P I have tried Five Guys and I'm truly satisfied.

Both of my little ones ate their full burger and fries. I mean, that's worth five stars alone, right?! (And they don't like the typical kid food so it's a huge victory for mom and dad) As for me, it was extremely good. Large portions so if you get a regular burger and a regular fry, go VERY hungry (I still couldn't finish it all). We will definitely come back. Really good food.

This place is a burger lovers paradise. All toppings on burgers are free, which is amazing and allows you to get exactly what you want without breaking the bank. They don't have it marked on the menu when you order, but you can get any burger as a double. The fries are amazing and fresh and of course the burgers are made when you order them. None of that pre-made crap here. There are tons of tables so finding a place to sit isn't a problem. But more about the food...the burgers and fries are cooked to perfection and full of flavor. A large fry is so large that its best of shared with two people. The burgers are juicy and loaded with cheese (if you have them add it). Definitely the way a burger should be!

This place is heaven on earth. Some of the best burgers I've ever had, hands down. What do they do to these things to make them so amazing? I'm not always big on fries, but this is one place I can't skip out on them at. Love, love, love.

Very good burgers and hot dogs. My son loves the place and I'm pretty partial to it a well. The french fry's are always great but the portions tend to change every time we come in. Not consistent enough. Service is pretty quick. Friendly but not great. Not expecting to much, after all it's a quick burger place. Always very clean.

Five Guys does all right for a chain restaurant. These are still the little flat patties instead of a real burger but you've got more options for toppings than McDonald's. This location has the new magic fountain machines. Artificial orange flavored Sprite? Check! Grape Coke? Check! Hours of entertainment. If you haven't been to a Five Guys before, check this out. They have two size of french fries. F-150 and dump truck. No joke, the large fries are 1500 calories. So unless you're picking up dinner for the Duggars, get the small and share it with everybody you know.

In a time where Burgers lack pizzaz 5 Guys steps into your mouth with so much flavor that it makes you weep with joy. Amazing can't even describe this location. Thankfully it's far enough away that I can't drive there everyday because if I could so much money would be spent there.

This is a great, clean Five Guys with exactly what you would expect. Free peanuts in the shell, awesome hamburgers (their normal size is a double) with fresh ingredients, and those overcooked "carny" fries that people seem to like for some reason. I can do without the fries, but I'm sure lots of people love 'em. They're served piled high in a greasy paper bag, which is awesome. One tip, if you like spicy foods, get the JALAPENOS on your burger...they're sliced fresh, not pickled, and they add a lot of excellent heat. Overall, probably the best fast food burger around. It beats all the others I've had, including Wendy's, In N Out, Whataburger, you name it. Great job Five Guys...whoever you are.

Burger perfection. Fresh meat, never frozen with a large variety of toppings (always free!) along with french fries so fresh you can taste it make this a favorite place to stop and get a burger. If you want just a single patty, ask for a little burger or else you will get a double, which isn't a bad thing. They keep it simple, delicious and inexpensive. Well worth a visit!

The first order of fries I got here were pretty soggy and just kind of okay but the second batch was incredible and crispy! The milkshakes are great too! I got the Oreo creme, Oreo crumble and malt!

Love this place. So much better than certain well known fast food chains. The fries are served in heaping amounts that should be shared. I love that they have the freestyle Coke dispensers so I can get my favorite Minute Maid Raspberry lemonade. I've never been disappointed in the service or the food.

One of my favorite places to eat ever I love their burgers they are so juicy and amazing and those fries are.amazing. I don't need a fancy 100 dollar place when five guys delievers wonderfully every time I go there. Some of the best burgers u can have yesss even better then bru burger and maybe tied with punch burger

  • Sandy L.

Consistently good burgers, you can tell the meat is a better quality, remember to order a small burger the regular is a big double. The hardest thing is to decide on toppings. Good to see a small order of fries, still serves two people good and fresh they had their kitchen processes down. Always clean.
