Three words, I heart chipotle! Four words, I know guacamole's extra. I was so so delighted the day I found out there's a downtown chipotle! I absolutely love the food obviously, love how standardized the chain is. However there is a word of caution, coming from the doctor, each burrito has Upto 800 calories! I know we love our chipotle but be wise with what you choose to put in it. Here's a food calculator they have on their website: chipotle.com/en-US/menu/… It's wise to check what we eat. I still will come to chipotle every now and then because I love how simple and fulfilling it is! Stay healthy every one and enjoy life!

I have a weakness, and it's Chipotle. Living downtown, there is only one location, and it isn't that easy to get too in the car. Luckily it's smack dab on the Cultural Trail, so when the weather is nice, I can bike there and avoid having to find parking. The weather is not nice yet; however, and I found myself craving a chicken burrito bowl, so off I went to my nearest location for dinner. The line was much longer than I've seen for dinner. Someone from the front of line announced they everyone was waiting on chicken, and if anyone wanted something else, they could go ahead. Looking at the 5-7 people waiting in line and then hearing my stomach rumble and start saying "feed me", my mind went to steak instead of chicken, and to the front of the line I went. Service is consistent with all of the the other locations that I've been to before. I felt they were a little conservative with the $1.90 order of guacamole that I paid for, and I thought I ordered chips but apparently didn't because they weren't in my bag (but also not on my receipt) - I didn't notice until I got home. I'm a fan and this place is really convenient in the summer on the trail, with very limited outdoor seating.

I love chipotle. I go to a lot of chipotle locations, and none have been as disappointing as this one. The workers tend to have a good attitude, but that only goes so far in a restaurant. I keep giving this place a chance because it's the only one that doesn't require a twenty minute drive to get to. Every time I go, I end up with a burrito less than the size of my hand -- and I don't have big hands! It's like half the size of a burrito you'd get anywhere else. Maybe they're afraid of trying to roll normal sized burritos? Maybe their skimping helps pay the downtown rent? We may never know! If you take anything away from this review, it should be never order online! Your burrito will be even smaller than I mentioned. If you have a choice, go somewhere else.

Once again, poor performance. They literally are always out of something: chips, chicken, Guac - you name it. Once again, the downtown chipotle giving all chipotles a bad name! Guess what they're out of this time?!?! (with 30 min left until close) CHEESE!!!!!! Hello, Qdoba.

C'mon, it's Chipotle! What else more is there to say? In all seriousness, chipotle is great. The sofritas is amazing and the fast service is great. I love eating on the patio in the warm weather and watching the passers by on the Cultural Trail!

Chipotle is my favorite lunchtime spot. I get the chicken burrito bowl with all the fixings. The prices are reasonable and the food is fresh. This location can be hit or miss at times. Sometimes the chicken can be a bit charred and my bowl isn't as tasty as it usually is because the meat tastes burnt. Overall it's ok though. During lunch hours the line is out the door since it's a downtown location;however they usually get you in and out fairly quickly.

How do you eat at any Chipotle and score it under 5 stars? Always clean. Nice staff. Outside seating. Only downside is if u need to find a place to park for to go at this downtown spot. Most spots metered.

I'm in love with Chipotle and this particular location gets SUPER busy at lunchtime. At the same time the line goes very quickly, even when it's to the door. I've never waited more than a few minutes (most people see the line and leave which is sad). They've begun to recognize me...heh heh. Which is positive, they gave one guy a free meal for never having been to a Chipotle before and they gave me on my next visit a Buy one Get one Free for being a semi-regular. As far as things to get, I love the green salsa (it's spicy and uber-fresh tasting) and everyone I know has fallen in love with it too - try getting it on the side. I love the burrito bowls and eat it with chips, absolutely amazing. My only complaint about this particular location is a lack of cleaning the tables during the lunch rush, they can get pretty messy and I don't see anyone out there working on it until well after the rush and it's destroyed. Try going early or late vs. 12pm - 1 pm if you can't wait even a few minutes.

I LOVE Chipotle's sofritas. And the staff here is so quick and nice. Parking is the only drawback about coming here, but if you don't mind walking or you're already downtown, it's fine.

I was glad to finally see a Chipotle open south of 86th/82nd and downtown. This location is fantastic and the food is the same high quality Chipotle you get everywhere else. The store is designed to more suit the solo lunch-time diner, not as many group tables as other locations. Bonus points to this location for 1) giving us free food during a soft opening to train its staff, a stroke of luck on our part 2) offering my first taste of Chipotle's new tofu sofritas....bummer that you now have a guacamole upcharge for your sofritas vegetarian burrito, but worth the cost. My recommendation: order the sofritas burrito bowl, stir up all the ingredients, and then use it as tasty dip for your tortilla chips.

Oh Chipotle, why did it take you SO LONG to come downtown?! Sorry Qdoba you just don't do it for me. The guac, the rise, that soft delicious tortilla. I'm not usually all about the chain food but Chipotle is just magical.

All of my co-workers from the South side are so excited. They tell me there is no Chipotle on the South Side and that they drive to the North side for this restaurant. I love Chipotle. To me it is good food fast. They use high quality meats. I especially like the chicken burrito. Other options are taco, bowl and salad. There isn't really anything gourmet here but it is just a solid meal. The staff is friendly and efficient. This place gets packed at lunch time but the service is quick. Another new place for people watching. Really nice outdoor seating area very close to the corner of Meridian and Washington.

Perfectly located across the street from where I work. I haven't been in a Chipotle in quite some time so I was surprised at how modern it looks. The food was tasty but there were two things that happened that dropped my rating to only a 3. The first thing is in my opinion you do not review an employee in front of a customer. That can cause embarrassment for the employee as well as make the customer question the staff. I didn't see anything wrong with the way my burrito was rolled so therefore that comment could have waited until I was gone. Second, the floor was incredibly sticky right in front of the fountain drinks. I literally stuck to the floor. It was also a little disappointing that they don't have the Coke Freestyle machine. Other than those two things the place was great. Food had good flavor and the modern decor was nice. I of course will be back again as I love this place...and hopefully I won't stick to the floor next time.

I'll always love a good burrito bowl from Chipotle, but this staff needs to get it together. Just witnessed one girl working the line by herself and asked repeatedly for another worker to grab her a few items that they were low on... They all stood around talking and ignored her. She couldn't even hear my order over her coworkers socializing.

So it's a chain big deal. Quality ingredients and you always know what your gonna get. Easy. Lines long for lunch but usually moves pretty quick. . Perfect for times when you don't have time to cook. Love a salad with grilled veggies and meat and their guac is good.. Yum. It may be my imagination but I swear Chipottle in Chicago (I would frequent the one on Broadway in Lakeview) had beer and margaritas. Maybe different liquor license for here in Indy? A welcome addition to downtown.

Simply terrible! They give you two tiny scoops of meat, the smallest amount of meat I had in any chipotle. What's worse is that the black lady server gave a black guy three heaping scoops of meat. Are the rest of us paying less? It is so awful they treat different people differently like that!

I was sooo excited when I heard that Chipotle was coming to downtown Indy. But this location is HORRIBLE!!!! If you don't live or work within walking distance, don't bother attempting to go. There is ZERO parking anywhere close. Very frustrating!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
