Good solid independent pizza joint. Pizza is better than Pizza Hut, but not as good as Donatos. Since Donatos doesn't have a store close by, ball park it is. The crust is ample and tasty. The toppings on the home run pizza are generous. Just a touch on the dry side, but definitely still good. The wings are real good, fall off the bone good. I'll be a regular patron. I just moved nearby.

First, I love this pizza. That being said, today is probably the last time I order from them. About a month ago, I ordered a few pizzas to feed some friends and had them dellivered by Ball Park. It took a while, but the pizza was hot. Today, I dialed their number to order and the nice(NOT) young lady who answered the phone advised me that my address was outside of their delivery area. Oh, and she did it in a very rude fashion. Then, she puts the manager on the phone. He, too, was a complete jerk. So, because I was really craving their pizza, I drove down and picked it up. That is, however, the very last time I will give them my money. There's plenty of good pizza just as close as they are. Oh, and I love 1.1 miles from their store. Dueces, Ball Park. ;)

So, okay, I admit we originally chose to try this simply because we could go browse videos next door while our food was being prepared. On top of that, I do try to support Mom and Pop businesses because they need us to do so to survive. I am not a big thin crust fan - I like one somewhere in the middle - but this was not bad. Even if it was premade as purported, I - dare I say this - preferred to the giant saltine cracker those Irvingtonians thrive on at their local be-all, end-all place. Toppings were generous, and the hot peppers lived up to their name. I also pleased with the special feed a family deals. I leave it at three stars for two reasons: no real choice of crust, and the oiliness of our topping choices as it cooled off was kind of gross.

We love their sausage pizza. You can't beat the price for a classic thin crust pizza.

If you get a chance to order a plain cheese pizza, extra crispy with chopped jalapeños. Do it. If you don't get it then you don't get it!

decent pizza! with the exception of being square cut (I'll request pie cut next time) i the pizza is super delicious and was delivered in 45 min.

Ok. 1975. Dark summer evening. I'm a kid. On the couch with the dogs and my brother watching TV. Older brother locked in his room talking to girlfriend on phone. We are watching Sammy Terry, the campy ghoulish host of a show that played all the old Universal and Hammer Horror movies. A knock on the door--it's the pizza guy! Yay! A large pizza--six pack of cold cokes. We open the box, grab a piece and the cheese sort of just slides off the pre-made crust, and then it burns our mouth, but it is sooo good. It's not gourmet, it's not pizzeria style, it's not a chain type pizza, it's just a mass produced, no-nonsense inexpensive, but yummy pizza. The perfect Saturday night late night movie pizza. Why all this story? Because even though that pizza place from my youth has long ago disappeared, Ball Park Pizza on 10th has through some strange, secret midnight alchemy, resurrected its virtues in their little family owned pizza shop! The cheese might slide off, and the crust be pre-made, and it might burn your mouth, but it will be hot and delicious and cheesy and every piece will be eaten. I recommend it for your next scary movie night.
