I frequent this place for lunch as it is a short drive from work and has short wait times for both seats and receiving food. I have been for breakfast also which is a strong suit of Joanna's as there are at least 6 different categories of breakfast items including crepes, which is somewhat surprising for a rural Indiana restaurant. The enchilada soup and cream of broccoli soup are excellent and are very creamy both. The things I have received with gravy aren't that seasoned but are just fine with a touch of salt and pepper. If a hearty lunch is needed, don't miss the monte cristo. It's a lot of food, but well done. It's also a bit messy, but that's the nature of monte cristos.

Good food, ordered The Big Platter (eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hashbrowns and toast) and Monte Cristo sandwich. Lemon Chicken Rice soup came with the sandwich. It was creamy, thick, home made and good soup. The ham on the big plate was some of the best ham from a breakfast ever had, it was carved ham. The monte cristo was full of carving board ham and turkey and the French toast was not deep fried (a plus). Too much of a sandwich and fries and soup, so 1/2 went home with 3/4 of the fries. The fries were kinda coated like mo jos. Very good. Service took a while, this is why I gave 4 stars. It's busy here and run by Greeks. Good family place or just a nice spot for two ~ #notatallfancy!

Joanna's was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful staff and amazing food. I had the chorizo omelette and my husband had a bacon cheeseburger. The burger could easily have been $15 with the amount of food he got but it was under $7. My omelette was huge and delicious! I am an omelette enthusiast and was very surprised by its depth of flavor. Although the hash browns were good, next time I would get fries with my omelette - they tasted amazing. The sweet tea was also great, not overly sweet. I really can't say enough about this place. If I was to ever move to Indiana, I would hope to move close enough to visit Joanna's regularly!!!

Stopped and ate breakfast here on the morning of July 4th. We typically visit this place for breakfast when we are in town visiting family. It was pretty busy, but we got a table right away and the service was pretty quick. Food was realy good, hot and fresh. We will definetly be back.

The parking lot is so horrible - mud and ice. We will not return even though the food is fine.

I was about 20 minutes from here when I called my mom to let her know I was close. She, knowing my dietary likes and dislikes and what the restaurant was known for, asked if I wanted fried fish and essentially took my order over the phone. This is to say that I did not study the menu, I simply parked, walked back to the table my extended family was sitting at, and there was my just-out-of-the-kitchen plate: four big pieces of fried fish, a lemon wedge, tartar sauce, a steaming baked potato, and a small tub of coleslaw. And I ate. It was very well-fried, crispy and delicious. The potato was nicely baked. Joanna's is a family-style place known for their breakfast and fish dinners, and it was quite busy at 7:15 on a Friday. The decor is simple, but it looked clean. I really mean A-OK in the best possible way, it seems like a bright, cheery, clean place and my food was really tasty and plentiful. I'd come back and actually peruse the menu next time.

We were seated and waited on very quickly. The food came hot. The trouble was my meal did not come as listed in menu. The waitress said that I was wrong and it was suppose to come with cheese. She did offer to scrape off the cheese. After that she did not talk to us again. Another waitress did offer to get us more to drink. Before leaving I checked the menu and it did not say anything about cheese in the description of what i ordered. pointed this out to the person and was told so what it is how we do it here. I am not from Goshen but do spend at least 4 weekends a year there. This is the worst service and attitude I have found in the area. Many much better places to spend my money at

I went on a Monday morning and the place was empty. The service was prompt and had my food ordered in less than 5 minutes. The biscuits and gravy with hash browns were hot when I received them but were rather flavorless, they required a lot of salt and pepper. I don't know how many times I will frequent this place but does in a pinch when McDonald's won't do.
