Healthy Meal suggestions for Texas Roadhouse

The service and food are consistently excellent at this location. I cannot think of a bad experience that I have experienced here. The food is always prepared as requested and is always quite tasty. I recommend this Texas Roadhouse to anyone who wants a well managed, very well prepared meal with excellent service.

It has been so long since I went to a chain steakhouse and a recent visit from family out of town found us here for a nice dinner. I only picked Texas Roadhouse since prior (as in years ago) experiences were good and we didn't want to break the bank. Overall the food was above average for a chain and I was very satisfied with the food and service (and price). It doesn't have the appeal to me of a more high end chain (Sullivan's, Mo's, etc.) for a nice date night place, but if there are eight people tagging along then it is definitely more budget friendly. Only carp here is that the place is LOUD (almost too much so). Lots of Fishers families with the kids so if this bothers you then maybe go somewhere else. Roadhouse.

Second experience here was fantastic. Started off with rolls and cinnamon butter which M and I enjoyed a lot. Filled us up so quickly we decided not to order appetizers this time. Our meals were delicious. I had half a slab of ribs, with seasoned rice and caesar salad! The rice was delicious, it had some cilantro in it which make it more delicious! M had pulled pork with corn and fries, you can't go wrong with corn or fries. Our server was friendly, check up on us often, and did great with drink refills. I don't remember her name (how could I forget) but I do know she was new and did fantastic! One worker did come up to us at the very end of our meal and greeted us and told us to let her know if we needed anything, so we asked for a couple boxes but she never came back. That was kind of unusual... It didn't bother us that she didn't come back because our waitress ended up bringing us boxes when we asked her as well. Our experience was phenomenal :)

This location is simply amazing. We ordered two steaks and BBQ chicken with salads and mashed potatoes and wow. The steaks were perfect, the sides were delicious and the chicken was juicy. The whole staff was friendly and inviting. This is a new staple for date night!

It's been years since I'd been a regular "Roadie" and I have no reason as to why. So, we finally made it back, sadly, it was kinda like soda that had lost its fizz. Everything's there but the fun bubbly stuff is gone; now, trying to put my finger on what that might have been on this visit is the tough part. Because like I said, the basic components were there, acceptably friendly staff, country music playlist, peanuts on floor and table to graze pre-order, food served fast, and a manager-to-table quick check-in post-dine. But alas, no fizz. Ok, maybe it's just my memory of the place and it's food became Texas - sized and I was bound for a let down. Hmmm, nope. Was too excited, wanted it to be great, was even indulging in the coloring for kids (which, by the way is less coloring and WAY to much thinking, poor kiddos) and imbibing one of their frozen Sangria Margaritas! So, was ready for Texas - sized, I dunno, anything...flavor, fun service...pickles? That would be a no. I, tried the fried pickles, and I know they make all their food in-house, so maybe I got a bad batch; because mine were more like dill flavored patato chips. They were so thin! It was a bummer. I didn't send them back or say anything because I just figured they made them like that, but now, after reading everyone's reviews, I'm thinking I could've asked. But that's not it either. And although my onion blossom was delicious and the sauce is just the right amount of kick; I remember it being bigger (that's what she said). And now we are full circle lol. The food was good, not great. I'm still a fan though, as you can see from the four stars, because we can't talk about Texas Roadhouse without mentioning their hot rolls and sweet sweet butter people! And a tip from one roll lover to another just put a couple on your plate and ask for another basket and take them to go. Some may call it cheating. Some may call it cheap. Me? I call it smart. Those rolls reheat like nothing else; and fizz or no fizz they keep this review from being not 3 stars but 4; and keep me coming back.

They have good food, they knew how to make my steak. The place wasn't clean enough, I had to wipe the table with a napkin because it was wet (from cleanning).

I enjoyed my 10oz ribeye with loaded sweet potato (loaded means it gets marshmallows and brown sugar) and Cesar salad. The steak didn't need any sauce. Was perfect as is. I had a wonderful dinner here and my waitress kept my drink filled and was very pleasant.

We like this one better than the others in Indianapolis. The staff overall just seems more attentive and happy you came in. Can't say that about the others locations. They greet you at the door and have hot butter rolls ready to go. I like the Ft. Worth Ribeye medium, but I am a little biases. Served with a house salad and loaded sweet potato, it delicious for those more pocket friendly dinner nights out. Also the Peach Tea Vodka drink is yummy and priced where a second won't break the bank. This is one of our budget friendly steak joints. And ladies sit in "The Ben" section. He has a great voice and great service.

We came here early on a Sunday before the Colts game, they were fast and friendly. Great place if you don't feel like driving too far from home. The cinnamon butter is the greatest attribute to this establishment.

Yeah, I freaking love a good steak. I have NEVER had a bad steak at any Texas Roadhouse, and last night was just the same. I got EXACTLY what I expected. I say that in the very best way. I LOVE knowing what to expect when I go to a chain restaurant. The thing that inevitably varies is the staff. My goodness, these folks were all over the place making sure we were happy. And not in an "omg.. can I just freaking eat?" way. Just super polite. Now, please understand, if you are expecting Mortons, go to Mortons. If you just want a good steak and to be happy, go here. I would remove a star for the country music, but I knew that going in, so... ah well.

I miss the days when restaurants served a silly piece of kale on your plate. Or parsley. I like parsley. Five stars for service. Our waitress was excellent, and the guys who helped clean up the babysplosion were stoic but pleasant. I do wish they offered slightly larger tables - the place seemed very crowded, and there wasn't really room between all the tables for servers and customers to slide, much less walk. The steak was excellent, though at 6 oz, it looked small. The green beans might have been fresh once, but they didn't seem like it today. Mashed potatoes: meh. There were so many dishes, none of my food could touch. It made my latent OCD tendencies sit up and take notice. I know it's a peanuts on the floor place, but our chairs all stuck to the floor. Like stuck hard. I thought they were screwed down at first. Still, the service was awesome, so I'll probably go back.

You just can't beat the food here and our wait staff is always friendly and quick to refill drinks, etc. My only 'complaint' would be that sometimes the music is so loud that you are nearly yelling to converse with people at your own table. This place, like all Texas Roadhouse restaurants, is proactive and keeps a dining room manager visiting tables to check on your experience while you are there. If there is ever a problem they are quick to address it. We've been there for dinner or just drinks and apps dozens of times. It's always a home run! Beginning "Black Friday" until the first Friday of January they are open for lunch too!

If you want a great steak dinner for $15 per person then this is your best bet. Quality and portions are good. Service is good and consistent. It does have a loud and sometimes obnoxious atmosphere, but to me, that is a small price to pay for a great value.

The Saturday night that my husband and I ate here was VERY busy, however I've never seen a more friendly, organized, and efficiently run restaurant! We only waited about 30 minutes (they have a neat app to track where you are in line), and our entire service from start to finish was perfect. And of course their food is delicious and a great price. I was very impressed!

Let's just start off by saying I needed to wait 2 weeks before I wrote this review. I used the call ahead seating for a party of 4 and made a special request. A table that would accommodate a wheel chair ( not usually a big deal but sometimes it is). When we arrived the young hostess asked if the wheel chair was large or small. Kinda a weird question but I answered small. She told me a table was ready but asked did I want to look at it first. I said sure but why? The answer was because the table was in the section with stairs. She needed to make sure the handicapped person could GET Out of His CHAIR and walk to the table. I asked if she was kidding and proceeded to inform her that if my father could walk he wouldn't be sitting in the wheel chair. Then the hostess changed the table location to the back of the restaurant and asked diners to move their feet so a wheel chair cold fit. Omg! When we sat my father a 73 yr old very Proud person hung his head and told me no more eating out. Ok enough about the problems of dining out. Food was good. Ribs were hot. Steak was cooked. Rolls were acceptable. Water was cold. Will I go back? Not sure if I will any time soon because every person deserves to be treated NICE!

This is a great Texas Roadhouse and we left very pleased with the great customer service and great food. The steaks were amazing and everything was perfect. Definitely a good representation of the Texas Roadhouse chain.

To be fair I have to say that I have been to this location three time in the the last year and the first time the food was served piping hot just the way we ordered ( just the hubby and I ) and our service was great , which is why we returned a second time with a party of four. Our second venture didn't fair as well as the first, with a much longer wait than we were originally quoted. I must say it was very busy. The server was not very attentive , but her friendliness made up for it some. The food came out slower than we had hoped and there were a couple mix ups in our orders that took a bit to straighten out, but we were enjoying our company and chalked all of to a busy night and anyone can have a bad day . The third time was not a charm and neither was our server . Came with a party of seven on a not so busy night . Our drink orders were mixed up and went dry for way to long , three out of our party had to return meat that was undercooked and all of it was served room temps or cold. Our servers attitude diminished greatly over all of the above and left us all feeling uncomfortable . Rather than complain and see her get in trouble we just reflected our disappointment in the tip . I'll try another location in the future, but don't think this one will be seeing me or my moola again

This place is definitely a restaurant where you get "bang for your buck"! I always get the Chicken Critters or Chicken Critters salad. The chicken tenders come with two sides and you get their amazing rolls (and peanuts) before your meal. Their fries are seasoned and thick. Salads are some of the best around at a place like this-- your plate is cold and the dressing tastes good! You get so much food that you'll probably have leftovers. Just make sure you call ahead on the weekend! You can get a number and show up 30 mins later to walk right in...the waiting area isn't fun to stand/sit in for that long but it's usually packed!

Great steaks for the price. Hard to beat their $9.99 sirloin, comes with two sides, bread, and peanuts. Service is always great!

We visited Texas Roadhouse on Friday August 23, 2013. We were having a late lunch, so timed our arrival about 4:10, just 10 minutes after they opened. I was surprised, then, to see their signature peanut shells all over the floor. Don't get me wrong - I love their peanuts. But 10 minutes after opening? Did they not sweep? Or did they "sweep around"? My companion swears she saw French fries in the midst of the peanut debris. Wonder what else we were stepping on. Our server was VERY attentive the first five minutes, then disappeared off the face of the earth. Unfortunate, because my strip steak, ordered medium, was cold and raw in the middle. Finally we got the manager who offered to cook it more, but by that time we were done and needed to leave. She gave us a $10 goodwill credit on our bill. The baked potato was totally dried out and they charged me 50 cents for bacon bits in my salad. Really? We loved Texas Roadhouse. Now there are too many good competitors to settle for mediocre food.

I loved their dinner rolls! Their steaks were good too though I could say that I can get this kind of food anywhere like Outback Steakhouse.

Everything about this place was pretty good. Nothing was great. It was better than okay. I had an 8 oz sirloin, medium. It was pretty yummy. Baked potato was normal- there's not much you can say about a baked potato. They put my sour cream and butter on the side, just as I had asked. I had a cup of chili, and it was pretty good. The onions and cheese looked fake, but I didn't really expect much from a Texas Roadhouse, I suppose. Meh. It did take forever to get our rolls. And the fryer must have broken when they were fying my friend's fries because she got half of her meal, and her boyfriend got his fries. They kept telling her "It will be just a moment on your fries." Then the server would come back to the table and ask "Really, you haven't gotten your fries yet?" I thought this strange because she hadn't brought the fries. That's not what the kitchen does, but we don't really care. By the time we were done, she asked our friend if she wanted a different side, which she opted for a baked potato instead. Not really a big deal, but eh. It' a chain. Sans the fries and the rolls that took awhile to get to our table, the food was pretty quick, the server was really friendly and helpful with the menu. It was just nothing special.

Always a properly-cooked steak, decent ribs and roast chicken. Staff is pretty well-trained at this location, and a manager always stops by to check on us.

Listen, this place, dollar for dollar is a great place to grab a steak and not pay a fortune! I like a big fancy schmancy steak house as well as the next guy or girl but sometimes that's"s just not in the budget...this place satisfies your steak urge until you have the money for Ruth's Chris.

The service was very good, the food not so good. I have never been impressed with TRs food and this visit was no better. I had the baroque chicken which was more gristle than anything, the veggies were somewhere between raw and cooked. This is not the first time I have been disappointed here, so for that reason I only give them a two star rating.

Can never get enough of this place. Ribeye is the best!
