Horrible experience! We thought it would be okay to get take out for our first time, got home and did not receive what we ordered. They short-handed us on shrimp and included food that my wife was allergic to after we told them NOT to include it. Their service and passion for their work is mediocre at best and we will never be going back!

As far as Mexican restaurants in Fishers go, this is by far one of the better ones. The food is above average, drink list is good and the drinks themselves are delicious. This place used to be called Fajitas and now it is under new management with a new name. Very clean inside (dining room, bathroom) and the staff is very friendly and helpful! I would go here FIRST, if I was in the area and in the mood for Mexican.

First time here ... The food is excellent and atmosphere is great. Plenty of authentic dishes on the menu. Much better than the chain restaurants in the area. Will definitely come back My only complaint was our server left a bit to be desired. He acted as though he was doing us a favor by taking our order and bringing us our food. I have seen this same server working at other area Mexican restaurants. The bad attitude is consistent no matter where he is.

Why is this place always empty on weekends? Delicious food, good chips and salsa, unique menu items, and a pleasant (family friendly) atmosphere. Food is traditional American-style Mexican, but there's nothing wrong with that, and the place is far better than most. Try the margaritas, they're delicious.

The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire! I always find a lot of pleasure when I find a new Mexican restaurant that seeks to throw down some authentic food. I gotta raise a glass to all my local Yelpsters for leading me to the trough of ladles of salsa. Nice spacious restaurant with the background sound of an indoor fountain make for a good ambiance. Lots of tables, booths, and a large bar provide lots of options for seating. Expansive menu with traditional classics. We started with a glass of Chardonnay. They were out. First zing. Maybe a good thing though because we ended up with a fancy muddled drink that was fresh and transported us to Mexico. Ok, so I guess I can't complain. I landed on the enchiladas rancheros loaded with chicken, beans, cheese, and toppings. Perfectly cooked with corn tortilla that had a great texture. Rice was mixed with peas, potatoes, and a good seasoning. Not dry by any means. The guacamole stole the show. A balance of creamy and chunky with a medium spice. Perfect compliment to the entree. While I want to give this place 5 stars, I have to land on 4.5. It took our server a long time to return to our table and remove our plates. I could hear all of the servers on the other side of the wall chatting and she was sitting there on her phone the entire time. I'm hoping to give them 5 stars the next time based on the service overall.

I always enjoyed this restaurant. Unfortunately, I came to eat here this evening and found that it was closed and a new Mediterranean restaurant is coming soon. Bummed.

We stopped at La Fuente on impulse since it was on our way to a birthday party. We were greeted promptly at the door by a host with lots of contagious enthusiasm. Our server was prompt, polite, & knowledgeable. This level of superior service continued throughout our meal. The manager stopped by to check on us as did the server three more times before we checked out. The restaurant is clean & inviting. The food was good, just not quite great. In would absolutely come back.

If you haven't been to this place you are seriously missing out on some gorgeous decor and incredible food. The tile work floor flower is almost worth the trip. And the fountain in the center of the restaurant is absolutely stunning. It provides lots of white noise to block out certain wailing babies that are having a bad day and want everyone to know. Of course, after a couple minutes sitting by it I had to check out the ladies room, but it was a very nice ladies room. I love a place that has cactus on the menu. The portions were good sized, and everything tasted well cooked and fresh. The service was good, but could use a little bit of shining up. Otherwise I don't have anything bad to say about this place. Even the restrooms are clean, shiny and beautifully tiled. Oh- check out the sinks! So pretty!

There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in Fishers, and most of them are pretty good. We've been regulars for probably about 10 years at one of the El Rodeo locations several miles away, and although we've tried all the closer restaurants as they've opened up, none supplanted El Rodeo -- at least not until now. La Fuente is located in the space that used to be Fajitas, one of those "closer and okay, but not better than El Rodeo" places we'd frequented a couple times. Always game to try a new Mexican restaurant, when we noticed the sign no longer said Fajitas we thought we'd give it another visit. We first went at lunchtime on a weekday, and have been back twice now for dinner, once on the weekend and once in the middle of the week. Each time, everything was excellent. There was no wait for a table yet there was a decent crowd in the restaurant; the service was literally outstanding; and the food was flavorful, plentiful, and reasonably priced. We had a mishap on our second trip when our server turned a corner too fast while carrying our two Cervaritas (an ingenious and very fun drink comprised of a full, open bottle of beer plunged upside down into the middle of a large Margarita -- some kind of science fair experiment gone awry, no doubt!) on a tray, and we watched in horror as each top-heavy upside-down glass Corona bottle slowly rolled around the rim of its Margarita glass, then slipped out and crashed to the floor. First one went, then the other, too quickly for any of us to react. It caused a couple loud crashes, and quite a stir at the nearby tables, and I got a little of the splash on one leg and foot, but it was handled extremly well, with profuse apologies from both the server and manager several times, our drinks and much of our meal comped, and a coupon to use on our next visit. Our next visit was just a couple days ago, and we were remembered (by both our last and current servers -- imagine!) and welcomed back warmly. Again, the food was excellent, and the service was skillful and friendly. (And yes, I ordered another Cervarita just for fun, and now they wait until it's delivered to the table before inverting the beer bottle into the margarita!) This time I tried a combination of two enchiladas (one beef, one cheese) with a taco, and I've previously had the chicken chimichanga and shrimp fajitas. My son had fajitas, my husband had a combination with enchiladas and a burrito, and my daughter always has a chicken fajita quesadilla with only cheese, no vegetables. All said their food was great, as usual. Oh, and the decor is very nice, too. Not as upscale as Abuela's, but there's a pretty tiled fountain in the center of the front room that adds a nice touch of ambience. At Christmastime it was filled with gifts, and more recently the water had returned. We'll probably still go to El Rodeo once in awhile, but I think we've found another regular spot to frequent, and much closer to home!

This is my favorite mexican place for lunch. Their vegetarian items taste the best of all the mexican places I have been too. And they have great salsa and guac!

I love me some Mexican food or almost any food for that matter. La Fuente Mexican Grill & Cantina happened to be the place to chow down. It was nice to have the place almost to ourselves. Only one other group was among us that night. La Fuente had the food hot, large and in charge and quite yummy. It was clean and spacious too--double whammy.

Excellent service with above average food. Could improve the salsa.

Place is decent. Lots of variety on the menu and a few unusual combinations that make it interesting. Aztec Soup was very good. Drinks were buy 1 get second half off. After the soup the food came a little too fast as I was only about half way done with it and the entree showed up. I had a creamy chicken and mushroom with rice and beans..unusual but tasty. Very large portions. Salsa and chips were good but nothing extra ordinary. Prices were very reasonable for the portions. All in all would go back again. Bear in my mind I hadnt eaten anything all day so ...will have to go again when not quite as famished to really know if it was my hunger or the food that made me enjoy my meal!

Definitely the best Mexican spot in Fishers, and I'd put it up against most other Mexican places. All the food is really good. I can be a bit of a snob when it comes to rice and beans, and these are some of the best I've ever had. Love the margaritas, atmosphere, and service.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
