Nice little restaurant. We came for breakfast I got the egg scramble with potatoes it was really good. didn't much care for the coffee just because I guess I'm kind of picky about my coffee. But it was drinkable to say the least... The service was really fast and the staff seemed friendly. I will go back again for lunch or dinner here in the future.

This place is a great place for Breakfast ,Lunch, and Dinner. I ordered a Grilled Cheese W/ Bacon. The grilled cheese was pretty good. I love to go to this place! It's near by and they serve breakfast... Everyday! Their biscuit and gravy are the best in the area! I AM NOT LYING! Why I gave it a 4 stars is. The server talks loudly. I could hear her from across the room. "Can you please quiet down?" It's a good restaurant for Jimtown locals to dine here! It's close by. It's all 4 about this! "This place has pretty crispy ch.." Hahaha!" Shush please? Thanks! I'm trying to eat."

We at REK Express order take out from here ALOT! We have never had anything to complain about. Love the food and when I call in all our orders we get the best service. Thanks Chris for your patience! I have never sat inside and sorry to say I am relocating to Illinois so I will miss their breakfast! Everything is good...from the oatmeal to the country fried steak to the biscuits and gravy!! :(

Best biscuits and gravy in our area! The place is a hole in the wall, but the food is great. I am a huge fan of Ma and Pa places, and this one is a great stop for homestyle comfort foods

I am a Yelp devotee, but if it wasn't for Google Reviews (and my husband's insistence that they are more reliable than Yelp reviews) I never would have tried this place. When my husband suggested we go someplace new for breakfast, someplace known for their biscuits and gravy, someplace where the two sets of reviews couldn't be so different, I was nervous. But I try to compromise, and my husband relies on Google reviews, where Cock-a-Doodle blows the competitors out of the park, so off to Elkhart we went. I hate to admit it, but in this case, Yelp failed me. This place was great! It is nothing to look at on the outside (or even the inside, really), but it was packed. We didn't wait long for a seat at the counter and had coffee in no time. It is a real team effort. I think we had a total of 6 people waiting on us for this or that, but not in a disorganized way - more like a well-oiled machine. The coffee was good, with some flavor I couldn't put my finger that made it cozy and comforting as I looked over the HUGE menu. I would have poured over it for an eternity if I hadn't arrived prepared to order B&G. The food came out quickly and was delicious. A to-go order for the teenager back home was well-wrapped and stayed hot all the way back to the Bend. The three of us ate for under $20. It seemed like a deal to me. I'd have to try other things at Cock-a-Doodle to give it 5 stars, but I was really impressed with the down home, family atmosphere. I also loved the diversity in clientele, where everyone seemed welcome. I'll certainly be back.

Every Time I have come here recently it's gotten worst and worst. The staff acts like they care but they don't. I ordered biscuits and gravy with extra gravy and it was as dry as EVER! it's gravy load it up ! I'm done with this place. There are a dozen other "better" options in the area.

Our first time there tonight. We went to try the fish. It was pretty much breaded and fried fish skins with almost no flesh. It was chewy and tasted old. The coleslaw was inedible due to the overpowering horseradish. My husband's ice tea tasted like it was made a week ago. I just ordered ice water, but it even had a bad taste and odor. Our first and last visit.

Not worth coming here at all. Dirty. Poor service. The waitress asked if we wanted a half apple juice half water for our daughter. They still charged us $3 for it! I would have ordered a regular apple juice then and mixed it myself. The man at the register screwed up and tried to overcharge us. Since they were busy he was just going to overcharge us anyway and not fix it. It was ridiculous. We will never go back to this place.

Ohhhhh sooooo yummy!! Biscuit and gravy, pancakes, French toast, and fish were all excellent. Portions were good, prices very reasonable, atmosphere friendly, service fast, clean and decorated cute. We will definitely be back!
