I really wish there was a negative star rating. I have ordered from this location in the past and have not had the issues I had tonight. I ordered a pizza over 2 hours ago. Still no pizza. I have had to call three times and spoke to a Kara (if memory serves me correctly) and was promised it would be here. After my first phone call one hour and twenty minutes of waiting I was promised my pizza in 15 mins. 45 minutes after that still no pizza. I called again and was told the pizza was in the car and 25 mins later still no pizza. They offered to send me a free appetizer. Really? I can say I went from ordering pizza from here 3-4 times a month and can honestly say I will not be ordering from here again and I will make sure to tell everyone around me to not order from here.

No pizza compares with Beggar's. The sausage and the spices are absolutely delicious. The only negative is that its way too pricey; otherwise we would get it all the time.

Pretty good pizza. Tiny bar area. And I love that they have a lunch buffet. I really like going to this location unfortunately they close early. If you're going for dinner to watch a game, you better hope it's got an early start. I wish they could find a way to expand their hours. Open until 10pm Sunday thru Thursday and open until 11pm Friday & Saturday.

The first time I had Beggars the mushrooms were piled a mile high. Man that was probably one of the best pizza's I ever had. When we came up here from Tn the following Thanksgiving I was getting excited about getting a pizza but to my disappointment they skimped on the mushrooms and the pizza was nothing special so the heck with them!

Buffet started at 11, we arrived at 11:05. Food had obviously been sitting out for an hour even though t didn't open until 11. They had all the salad toppings out....dressing, cheese, croutons etc. The only thing missing from the equation was the actual salad itself. Dry, black fried chicken, chewy pasta. Avoid the noid and avoid beggars.

I'm new to Dyer. Just moved from Chicago. I ordered the thin crust sausage on move in day and it was horrible by any standard. Better pizza at Papa Johns and that says a lot. Don't waste your money here.

I love Beggars Pizza and now that I live by this location I am very excited. We always had to pick it up but now we get it delivered. They load on the toppings and it's always cooked to perfection. I look forward to having it more and more.

I find it impossible to give any pizza 5 stars, but if there was a 1/2 option, Beggars in Dyer would have 4.5 stars, for sure. The pizza, being "Beggars," is fabulous, and I highly recommend the boneless chicken wings with the buffalo sauce on the side. I, like the previous Yelper, also recommend the deep dish pizza, and I agree that the sauce (which is made from fresh tomatoes) may be off-putting to some as it is not sweet. The toppings are high quality as well, you will find no Little Caesar's style sausage bits here. Full bar, decent drinks, wide variety. The service is very friendly and "neighborhoody."

In summary: Vacationing in the area and wanted "good" pizza. I was told that the deep dish pizza here is the best around. Well, if this is the best I am not impressed. The pizza was average. It was pleasant and I would probably visit again but there were no bells, whistles or stars upon taking the first bite. The food: My party and I ordered two medium deep dish pizzas (one pepperoni and one veggie), a six piece wing and a mixed basket appetizer with fried cauliflower, mushrooms, onion rings and zucchini. Again, nothing spectacular. The service: No compliants.

The pizza here is probably ok if you like yours overloaded with toppings, I ordered a thin crust with three toppings. Their thin crust would be a thick crust any place else and the toppings were piled on way too thick for me. My wife seemed to like it, I found it to be a little overwhelming. If I develop a liking for thick crust, heavily topped pizza, I will try it again maybe.

My family and i ate at this restaurant in Dyer for the first time and we had the deep dish pizza. It was great! The service was great also, Dozer Towing & Recovery gives this place 4 Stars.

It's a tough choice between 3 and 4 stars. Chose 3 because they aren't consistently as good as other beggars locations I have been to . If you tell them you have a coupon prior to picking up your order they seem to use less ingredients on your pizza and that is a big no no when your box says WE LAY IT ON THICK. So word of advise is to not tell them you have one lol. Other than that it's quick and good about 80% of the time. If you know beggars pizza the dyer location fits the image and franchise well. Overall pretty satisfied most the time.

Out of all the seemingly countless Beggar's locations, this one has to be my favorite. The decor is inviting and tasteful. The management if very friendly. The owner seems to be friends with everybody who comes in. After going to this location a few times, the owner came over to introduce himself and even bought the entire table a round of drinks. The pizza obviously tastes good otherwise Beggars wouldn't have 20 or 30 locations. Almost everyone seems to order the regular thin crust pizza, which is good, like I said. However, the deep dish and stuffed pizzas rival any of the better known restaurants in Chicago. I definitely like theirs more than Gino's East or Giordano's. Another reason I like this place more than any other Beggars is the beer. There is a pretty good selection of beers and its is always so cold and fresh tasting. They have this special taps that freezes the moisture in the air so that a thick layer of ice builds up around the taps to make the beer extra cold.

Love this place, some of the best pizza in the area. Me and the family have been going here since the grand opening and will continue to go as long as management keep up the good service and the prices within my reach.

I give this place 4 stars and not 5 only because the pizza is good, but it's not THE best I've ever had. Nevertheless, I do really enjoy their pizza, and it's only about a 1 min walk from my house, so I think it gets a star based on convenience. The sauce on the pizza is different than I'm used to, it tastes more like fresh tomatoes, which I'm a big fan of, but others might not be if they're used to the sweeter sauces on most chicago style pizza. I've had their Deep Dish, Stuffed, and Thin Crust, and they're all good, but I recommend the Deep Dish above the others. I guess they have sandwiches and pasta as well, but I've yet to try those.

Living in Dyer, I've ordered from pizza and food from Beggars plenty of times. While they aren't my favorite pizza in the area, they are good at a reasonable price. Acceptable. Sastisfactory. Had never been disappointed. So when I was responsible for bringing a salad to a party I was attending this past Saturday, I thought I'd give Beggars a shot. I called the Friday prior to ask if they could do an antipasto salad to accommodate 10-12 ppl and was told that I could get a half tray that feeds 14-16 ppl for $44 plus tax. Initially was shocked at the price (too much) but decided to go ahead with the order knowing that this would save me from shopping for and preparing the salad myself. Sometimes the extra money is worth the convenience. Was I shocked when I picked up the salad on my way to the party and saw the tray they brought out to me. Having previously worked in a deli and done catering, I didn't think there was any way this salad was going to feed the 14-16 ppl quoted to me. Perhaps 8 generous servings but more than that would be a stretch. Begrudgingly, I paid the total and was on my way. When I opened the tray at the party, my shock of the price turned to irritation and aggravation. There was no way what I was given was worth $48. There were four "flowers (one in each corner) made up of one slice of cheese and two thin slices of meat. That's it. Not even one for each person the salad was supposed to feed. Also, by no means am I an antipasto salad expert but I've had my fair share and I have never ever had an antipasto salad with shredded cheddar cheese. Ultimately, it seems that I overpaid for a pan of lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, cherry tomato, sliced black olives with minimal Italian meats and cheeses. Had they been open when I needed, I could have ordered two family size antipasto salads from Sanfrantello's for about half the cost and been significantly more satisfied. We did call to voice our dissatisfaction and spoke to the manager, Ron. While he did make some attempt to rectify the situation (make another salad that we drive over and pick up? From Whiting to Dyer? In a snow storm? Thanks, but no), he really didn't seem that interested in our feedback and threw out some canned response apologies. Chances that I will ever order from Beggar's again? Slim to none. And neither will the family members from the party (some who had the salad, some who didn't because we ran out) or the friends whom I shared my experience with.
