Solid. Five stars. The atmosphere is good and the entire staff is on point. Food is delicious and really reasonably priced. I like the fact that my shrimp fajitas had 20+ shrimp in there, and the fact that their chips and salsa are hot and delicious. I came here on a Monday night one time and said I want the "bigger beer"... Mucha grande? yeah, sure... I didn't realize it would be a 34oz one with a giant slice of lime on the rim. But... even that was around five bucks. My go-to in Columbus, until I get fat.

Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Food is very tasty. Salsa changes sometimes it's great and sometimes tastes a little off. Portion sizes are on the small side compared to some other Mexican places but it is satisfying. Very clean too!

Good food at a good price. Very authentic. I also love the decor. Very good service (friendly and fast for a sit down restaurant). My favorite Mexican in Indiana. I recommend.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I have been several times and have always received good service. Furthermore, I have never been disappointed in the food. I feel Riviera Maya has done an excellent job catering to my needs as a customer and I plan to return in the future.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant. Fast friendly service. Consistently good food. Awesome chips and salsa. Recommend enchilada Cancun , Guadalajara , chimichanga Acapulco, enchilada supremas, tortilla soup, Guacamole salad, and grilled tilapia with rice.

Hands down, the best Mexican joint I've experienced thus far. The margaritas are good both frozen and on the rocks and great prices! Tons of vegetarian options and the spicy salsa we asked for and added to the salsa they originally brought us made it just absolutely amazing! The veggie quesadillas were stuffed full and for $6.75 with rice and beans!? Great price!!! I can't wait to go again! The wait staff was quirky and friendly and on top of everything. Inside of the restaurant is quite the experience itself. Beautiful place.

Best place in Columbus IN for a margarita and some Mexican food. Great service..

Typical Americanized "Mexican" food. Slop it on a plate and shove it under a broiler and serve to the guest. I've been to Mexico 7 times and this is not authentic Mexican food. It is all pre-fabbed and is mediocre at best. If you are in a hurry and like Americanized "Mexican" food and margaritas made from an off the shelf mix it is fine. But if you want authentic Mexican food go to Sabor De La Vida.

The food is decent. Quality has declined over the past couple years but it is the best place for big nasty beer and chips and salsa. And I do mean a BIG beer..

Had a rocky start but by far the best Mexican in town. Great beer specials, food and service. You can even get seats to watch the mall walkers!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
