I found myself pleasantly surprised to find this place when I moved to Charlestown. The pizza is great and the beer selection is excellent. I have been here several times and have not been disappointed. The bread bites with beer cheese is an excellent appetizer. If you are looking for a great place outside of Louisville, I highly recommend Charlestown Pizza Company.

Superb pizza. You have to try this place!! Wish they had a gluten-free offering! Maybe soon?!

Great little hometown pizzeria with extensive beer selection of regional brews. The pizza pies fall into the hand tossed thin crust category, topped with garden fresh toppings and well seasoned sauce. Worth the drive if looking for a diamond in the "rough", or less populous areas outside of the metro Louisville and greater Clark Co. region. Definitely a great stop after exploring the Charlestown state park. Easily my new favorite regional pizza spot.

Awesome place! A great pizza place in a small town setting. Service was wonderful, had a party of 6 and never went thirsty. Beautiful beer menu so beer people stop in. So affordable for a family so no worries if feeding a lot. The pizza was great! Love their crust. Bread bites are the perfect starter so order their in house beer cheese with it. I will be back as usual.

Tried to dine there a second time after a pleasant enough first experience. Waited 8 minutes to be seated in a half full restaurant. Either you want to get butts in your seats in order to serve food or you don't. Like many people I only have so much time during my lunch hour and I don't intend to waste it by standing at the front door.

What's the hype over this place? It was old and rundown and quite dirty. The food was rather disgusting I thought. The prices were rather good but if it tastes gross what's it matter? I think price and loyalty keep the doors open here. And probably location and lack of completion too.

Great service even 30 min to closing. Top notch employees. Also the crispen apple cider beer is the best

After just moving to Charlestown recently, I learned quickly that eateries are few and far between in this small town. We decided to head to Charlestown Pizza Company, based on several recommendations from local friends. This is not a fancy joint. It doesn't aim to be a pretentious gourmet pizza joint, even though I love me some good pizza. I've had my share of pizza throughout the midwest. I've also had the best of the best in NYC. Charlestown Pizza Company is not a gourmet restaurant by any stretch of the imagination. It's a very casual, small-town kind of place that boasts local hospitality and just good ol' pizza (and beer...but more on that later). The pizza itself isn't mind-blowing, but it is good, and a worthy place to visit here in this small town. I wish there were more choices in "special" or "gourmet" pizzas that don't need to be customized entirely. I hate having to rattle off a list of ingredients when ordering a pizza. If CPC could come up with a few more specialty pizzas, I'd come in more often, but even if they don't, you can find something you like for a good price. Their bread bits are yummo...wish I could take some home to snack on. That said, the value is great, and more than anything, they have GOOD BEER. The reason I give this place a 4/5 is largely because of the beer selection. It's hard to find a good place for local craft/microbrews near Charlestown that doesn't require a good drive. If you're looking for some good grub that'll fill you up while enjoying great beer, then this is your place. Until Charlestown can begin importing some more flair in terms of its food selection, this will be my go-to for a Friday night grub and brew.

Try the mashed potato pizza, sounds odd buy trust me you will be happy with it. Garlicbbutter pizza crust covered in mashed potatoes with butter, cheddars cheese, bacon and chopped green onions, it's great. And I have two words for you BEER CHEESE, they have amazing spicy beer cheese.

I have had friends RAVE about this place so I have wanted to try it for some time now. Finally made it after a few failed attempts. (They were closed on Oaks day, a Friday) and have to say it is good, but did not meet the expectations I had. I think what turned it off was the pepperoni roll. Every roll I've ever had has been small one or two bite rolls. This was one giant roll and dry on the outside. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected.

Amazing pizza! Some of the best I've ever had. Flavorful crust, fresh ingredients... A little greasy, but I almost expect that in a great pizza. The setting is a bit eclectic, good service. They are CLOSED on Sunday and Monday.

Love this place! We always get the bread balls and beer cheese and a Mack Daddy pizza. Great service and if you are a beer drinker there are tons of choices.

I don't know why this place gets so many stars and seems so popular. I was very disappointed with the service and the food. Everyone talks as if this is a trendy music themed pizza hang out with artisan pizzas. I admittedly did not have pizza and maybe that was my mistake, I ordered a sandwich, soda, and waffle fry's. So I asked my waitress for recommendations, she could not really give me any advice or suggestions. I asked her if the waffle fries were regular potatos or sweet potatos and she had a hard time understanding. My food was basically homemade sloppy joes flavored with some ground sausage. There was nothing special about it and I hate to even call it homemade because I make much better food when I cook. It was like canned sauce, cheap seasoning, and even the waffle fries were rather ordinary and some of them were very burned. The waitress forgot half my order even though I was one of two customers, she was distracted with conversation with another waitress. Someone who seemed like thy might be the owner was extremely loud talking in the seating area on a cell phone the entire 40 minutes I was there about local politics and other business, they seemed oblivious to the fact that they had customers and seemed to be using the customer seating like a person office. When I go out to lunch it's to relax and escape the office, I look for places where I can enjoy my lunch and I go a little late so I can avoid crowds. So I find it really annoying when businesses don't offer any common courtesy to the customers, the loud lady should have taken her business out back and the gossipy staff could have taken the volume down or gone in the back to chat. I could put up with all that if the food was great, but the food was just plain bad. I might be talked into trying the pizza sometime but I won't be expecting much.

Arrived on the tale end of a Friday evening dinner rush. Greeted and seated promptly. Ordered the bread bites with beer cheese, side salad and the Mack daddy 10" pie. Food reviews to follow; The bread bits with beer cheese were quite tasty. The salad was nice the garlic vinaigrette dressing was very tasty. The Mack daddy 10" pizza was quite tasty. Actually surprised at how good it was from a small town joint. I'd recommend it !

I was first scared of the place when I saw the outside. Once you walk in the place is layer out different but it doesn't matter. We have been here about three times and it's good pizza. It has that nice crisp crust that crunches. The bread knots and sticks are really good. If you enjoy beer they have a large list to pick from. The staff are all nice but can be busy on weekends.

5 stars for 2 simple reasons. First off the pizza is great and cheap. Secondly, and more noteworthy, the beer list is fabulous, handsdown. I was in louisville for a few days and decided to take a chance on this place based on some reviews on urbanspoon. I am a huge beer nerd and this was one of the best lists outside of a beer themed bar I've ever seen. Friendly staff as well.

We were pleasantly surprised on a recent visit while looking at the Christmas lights in Charlestown. My wife and I each ordered an 8" pizza with 5 toppings. Cost was about $6 each which was a great price! They have a good selection of toppings and the pizza tasted really good for a small town. This place is definitely family friendly and the service is really good as well! The only downside of our meal was the garlic cheese bread sticks. We love the taste of garlic in our food; however, we tasted more of a butter taste with very little garlic or cheese flavoring. Prior to visiting, we'd typically not ever think of eating in Charlestown for our weekly date night but now we feel we have a good place to choose from whenever it's my turn to pick the place.

For those in the Kentuckiana area familiar with Rich-O's/Sportstime Pizza/New Albanian, Charlestown Pizza Company is along the same lines of a pizza joint although I find it a bit more family-friendly. Great pizza, good prices, vast beer list. My boyfriend and I have visited a total of three times and the service has been superb each time. For those Kentuckians wary of the trip across the bridge into Indiana, Charlestown Pizza Company is only 25 miles from downtown Louisville and worth the trip. Order the Bread Bites as a "starter" - they are delicious!
