I found myself pleasantly surprised to find this place when I moved to Charlestown. The pizza is great and the beer selection is excellent. I have been here several times and have not been disappointed. The bread bites with beer cheese is an excellent appetizer. If you are looking for a great place outside of Louisville, I highly recommend Charlestown Pizza Company.
Superb pizza. You have to try this place!! Wish they had a gluten-free offering! Maybe soon?!
Great little hometown pizzeria with extensive beer selection of regional brews. The pizza pies fall into the hand tossed thin crust category, topped with garden fresh toppings and well seasoned sauce. Worth the drive if looking for a diamond in the "rough", or less populous areas outside of the metro Louisville and greater Clark Co. region. Definitely a great stop after exploring the Charlestown state park. Easily my new favorite regional pizza spot.

I completed my quest to find the best pizza in Charlestown. Yep, hands down, this is it. The pizza itself even beats Charlestown Pizza Co, although, of course, this is not actually a restaurant. I've had many things on their menu, and even the stuff that seems weird like the Taco Pizza with re-fried beans and tortilla chips on it, is really really good. The specialty pizzas are expensive, but worth it. They're pretty big & stuffed with lots of toppings. Buffalo Chicken & Chicken Bacon Ranch are some of our favorites too. I really wish Casey's had more locations around here, because now that I've completed my quest, I can finally move out of this town.

Family restaurant, clean eating area, clean bathrooms. Country ham and eggs were excellent. Wait staff were great. Music at just the right volume. Comfortable seating. Soooo much better than Cracker Barrel.
I was in there 1/31/15 with my family for breakfast. I had suggested it to them as I had great food and service many times before. This time my waitress was the worst on earth! I ran out of coffee and I waited 10-15 min for her to refill me. She walked by several times and never refilled me. I really got pissed when I saw her talking on her personal cell phone instead of ensuring her tables were tended to....I mean really!?! Finally I got so mad that I got up and approached the bar/counter area and had the employee there refill my coffee. Food came out, was cold, was delivered by the bar/counter person and not my waitress. I actually never heard from the waitress until I was leaving the table and she asked if we needed anything else? Really??!!! I thought: No thanks woman...I don't wanna put you out! Anyway as I was checking out I was asked by an employee how my service was and I reported it as "could have been better" and I explained that the server was the issue. They didn't say anything else and seemed also not to care. I think I may be done w/ this place. Sucks, because I loved it here til today. They just don't care about customer service anymore and that's unfortunate. I was a happy regular customer until today, but it looks like I'll take my money elsewhere.
Rather than write an extreme review, I'm taking the middle ground here. This is a simple, American traditional joint along the lines of Twig N Leaf in the Highlands area of Louisville, so stick to the basics. I ordered a simple "Ron Swanson" breakfast and was not disappointed. Service was adequate, friendly, but not overly so.

Tami’s Country Fixing’s

Reviews:
Tami's is in the old location of Bare Shoulder BBQ, a great down home BBQ joint. I had high hopes for Tami's and I will give them a second chance since they are just getting started. When I used to live in Nebraska one of the things I hated about the small town local restaurants were the poor quality of food often over priced coupled with bad service. Add to that the businesses lack of understanding about how to run a business or treat customers. A captive audience with no competition led to bad service and poor quality. In contrast the waitress I had was trying really hard, in fact very hard to please. Way to frequent at the table constantly over apologizing for every little thing even when there was no reason. However, Tami may be a great person, if she could only get rid of her rude hanging out friends! (update) the rude people may not have been the owners friends but they were hanging out the entire time, acting rudely, loud and unruly while staring down people coming in as if they owned the place. The restuarant had several very loud friends hanging around the rear of the dining room. They stared down every customer as if we were invading thier private club. They let their kid run around and yell and Tami came out several times and never did anything about it. The male at the table was sprawled out in the middle of the floor on his chair blocking the room (toward the back) and talking loudly on his phone. The woman was gossiping at full volume and although I was across the room I did not miss a thing. My waitress realized how bad they looked and clearly made eye contact when they were staring at me, an interloper who dared to wander in to try Tami's food. Making Hmhp noises and faces at me for being there, a stranger! I can put up with a lot of stuff so I ignored them and ordered and my salad which was super basic but tasty and fresh. The Ranch dressing was garlicky which I love. The silverware could use a better washing, but this is typical small town, it could have been better but why bother, they are just cooking for family and neighbors. Its this kind of lax attitude that causes these places to fail after a year. It's a shame because the location is good and the many giant warehouses down the street are itching for places to eat. You could have a gold mine if you just treated people better including asking your friends to hang out somewhere else. I had a great piece of crispy cod (Tami says it was catfish, but the waitress insisted it was cod) that was perfectly cooked! Plain on the plate, no effort at presentation which was called for considering the meal was $15.00 for lunch with the salad, drink and tip. For that kind of money I expect a little more polish. I would go back for the fish, it was not greasy and perfectly prepared but if your going to charge like your in downtown Lousiville you better get rid of the riffraff and clean the silverware. As I said I'll give Tami's a second shot but if they fail again I won't be back or recommend you to my coworkers. UPDATE - I have been back, had good service and again good well prepared food. I hope Tami reads this and takes her place up a notch with a better dining room experience (send your friends and family home). Work on the plate presentation or lower the prices to align with the simple unadorned plate. Train your wait staff to lower the enthusiasm a bit but keep the great smiles and friendly service.

It's mostly clean and the food is typical Taco Bell. However the staff needs customer service training badly. The crowd here, at least when I come in at lunchtime Is a mix of dropouts, pregnant teen girls, old farmers, and red neck boys trying to look gangster. Oh and several cops hang out here too. Everyone seems to know each other and often half the customers are employees from another shift. For people watching it can get interesting but I get the feeling banjos should start playing if I stay too long. It's clear by the stares that I'm a barely tolerated outsider.
