I love this Some Guys. Great salad, pizza, lasagne, and other pasta dishes. The man who makes the pizzas during the day is a real sweetheart and the servers have always been just grand whenever I've been in.

I ordered a plain cheese pie. I went and picked up the pie and took it home. When I opened the box there was a spicy chicken Thia pizza. The exact opposite of a plain cheese pizza. I called and the manager got on the phone (Joanne) and told me "I have to spell out PIE when I order because they have bad phones and the workers put in order for Thia instead of PIE. Honest mistake but I reccomend teaching the employees to confirm that instead of placing on the customers. Should I check the menu for other rhyming items before I order? I never even heard of a Thia pizza. They did refund my money and send a delivery person with a plain pizza. So that was good. When we got the right pie it was really good. I just was a little floored by the expectation of the customer being responsible for the order being put in properly. I will give this place another try though because it is close to my house and pizza was good. Suprised they don't open until 4pm so no pizza for lunch from there I guess.

The best pizza in Carmel...ingredients are fresh and they don't skimp! I love the thin crust!!

The mainstay of Friday night pizza at our house. We have noticed that non-weekend pizzas tend to be better. House sausage rocks thought we tend to like everything we order. Good salads too.

I think this place has okay food. Pizza crust is thin. Mediocre flavor. Salads are a mixture of iceberg and romaine...nothing special there. And my grilled chicken tasted off. The upside was the balsamic vinaigrette with Gorgonzola.

They use Fiestaware here! I love nothing in my kitchen more than my Fiesta dinnerware. So that obviously captured my heart pretty quickly. I visited during lunch and had one of the very reasonably priced lunch specials. Salad served with the largest lunch sized portion of flatbread ever. Seriously. It was the size of a large pizza. Now the nice thing about Fiesta! is that you can sure cram a lot into their salad bowls and the lunch salad was certainly overflowing. The raspberry vinaigrette dressing added the extra kick the salad desperately needed. I don't know why but the salad really lacked flavor. I blame the cheese. Mozzarella cheese on salads is not overly flavorful to me, but no biggie. The salad is plentiful with olives, croutons, red onion, and cheese galore. Flatbread was just so-so. It also lacked in the flavor department and was pretty greasy. I could fold each piece in half without much breakage-meh. I would like to try their regular pizzas and some of the pasta dishes sometime. The pizza at the table next to me looked pretty awesome. Staff isn't overly friendly, especially the fella that seats you. It's clean AND they have local brew selections on tap from Sun King. I will give it another shot for sure. As a side note, they appear to be closed between 2-4PM (at least from what I could gather from posted hours on the door) which sort of seems like a better time to do maintenance work that involves having the main door open in winter during a good portion of lunchtime, causing big baby patrons like me to be forced to wear my coat during my meal. Call me crazy.

Great pizza, great people, great prices! We have been eating at Some Guys in Carmel for close to a decade now and have never had a bad dish or experience. We usually end up eating there (or getting take out) at least once a week and it really is great every time!

Uuuuuummmm. YUM. Yumalongadingdong! Sooo soooo sooo good. I love their pizzas. I've had several of their specialties and I"m always happy. The crust is not too thick and not too thin. Their salad is woooonderful with fresh veggies including olives (none for me please), green peppers, roma tomatoes, red onion all piled on a fresh lettuce with white cheese. There are tons of house made dressings and I love the vinaigrette and ranch. YUUUUM. Buuuut my MUST eat is now their pasta. Holy cow - so delicioso! The vodka sauce comes in three "heats" and I get the mild. It has a nice little kick. They also are very generous with portions and I literally get to eat it three meals in a row. NOT that one needs to. You get to choose the kind of pasta, the kind of sauce and then add meat if you'd like. I like the grilled chicken and it's always very tender. I also REALLY enjoy their pesto garlic bread and the marinara goat cheese appetizer. SERIOUSLY good. I had lunch in the restaurant recently and the service was a solid B+. The delivery is always right at 30-45 minutes even on Fridays, which is pretty good around here. The food is just so good. I will say this is one of the more expensive pizza places in town but OMG. I just love their creative flavor options, vast menu and awesome appetizer choices. My advice SHARE - get one pasta, one medium pizza and one small salad and four of you will have at least two meals (unless someone gets REALLY hungry, which is possible with this awesome-sauce food). Yuuuuuuuuumalongadingdong!

Stopped in with the family after a youth football game for dinner. The place is clean and the atmosphere is nice enough; suitable for kids and families, though not a whole lot of seating. Our service was good from seating to serving, we were a group on nine and he handled us no problem. Our group ordered garlic bread and roma bread as appetizers. The garlic bread was wonderful but the roma bread didn't really taste like anything (then again, it's more of a dipping bread), the herbed marinara that came with the roma bread was to die for, as was their ranch dressing - THE BEST we've ever had in any restaurant. We ordered a cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, and The Bomb (vegetarian with pepperoni and sausage). Each of them were delicious and heated up beautifully the next day as leftovers. Bottom line, we have visited several pizza places in the area after moving here three months ago (Toppers, Pizzology, Jans, Bellacinos) and this is our new favorite place - we will be back often. Bonus for having the Arnold Palmer on the menu!

This is about a 15 min walk from my house in Indy, and it's worth the walk because A) it's local B) their gorgozolla/balsamic salad is to die for and C) the pizza is great! Yay for Some Guys!

I love the Some Guys Pizza in Carmel. The last time we were there, they did not make my son's pizza with the correct toppings and they let him keep the wrong pizza, made him a new pizza and didn't charge us for any of our dinner including mine. Everyone makes mistakes, but I believe how you act when you do is the real test and they "made it right" without me really asking. All I asked for was for them to make a pizza with the correct toppings. I LOVE the house sausge pizza. It has goat cheese on it and it is divine. I've had many other pizzas there and most of them have been good. (The Margarita is a little bland, and one of the things that keeps me from giving 5 stars.) The other thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is that while the servers are always friendly and polite, there are times when service is slow and they servers are hard to find.

Some Guys is possibly my favorite pizza place in Indy at the moment. Not only is it five minute from my parent's place, but the prices are reasonable, and it has a mom n' pop feel---but if your "mom n' pop" were really awesome, and not intro country kitsch, and told all your friends to call them "Bob" and "Linda". My favorite by far is the 4 Cheese, which taught me that, yes, pecans DO belong on a pizza. also, that it is completely unneccessary for a great pizza to have sauce. To be honest, though, all of the pizzas are great, so you should just keep coming back until you've tried them all. The staff here are great, completely accomodating and wonderful. They close at nine Sun-Thurs, and 10 Fri-Sat, but I've definately walked in at 9:50 pm and not been given any grief or even a glare over it. Next time you decide on something local, skip Bazbeaux and head out to SomeGuys.

4/2011 I was referred by a coworker. She brought some pizza in to work (from the Allisonville Rd. Location) and it was great! So I decided to go to the nearest location from home, which was the Carmel location. My order was incorrect & the lady up front with dark short hair( that could easily be mistaken as a male) was blaming me. She was EXTREMELY rude. It's too much to type in detail but I did end up speaking with one of the owners the following day who was kind. He listened to me & apologized. He also gave me a pizza for free (which I have not picked up yet) based on my experience at the Carmel location I would not return or recommend the place. It looks like it has good potential & decent food but none of that matters if the customer service is poor.

Beware the Italian sausage is huge! I picked it off. The pizza was amazing, though. The Caesar salad was nothing special. The service was great. We would go back for a pizza.

Loved the antipasto salad but warning, go light on the dressing! The pizzas were a huge disappointment. Ingredients tasted fresh, but the crust was unforgivable. All three pizzas (artichoke, Mediterranean and pepperoni) tasted like cardboard. Change your crust recipe, Some Guys! It's really hard to screw up pizza.

It's a good restaurant. I stuck with the pasta- sausage lasagna was this visits choice. Watch out, it comes right out of the oven with bubbling cheese! Portions are large for the price. I always leave with a box. Pasta comes with a salad & bread (choose the Roma every time). I got the garlic this time, just to try it. Not one of my best decisions. Customer service is great. I favor the Indy location due to the more intimate setting (darker room & booths). Great restaurant, though!

I love the Some Guys on Allisonville, so I was excited to learn that there's a second location closer to where I work. I'm hoping it was just an off day.. And I'll be more than willing to go back and try again... But the day I went the food and service was just lacking. My salad was great but my pizza was sub par. Also, there were only two servers for an entire full dining room during a busy lunch hour. The atmosphere of this location isn't as cozy as the Allisonville location either. Blah. I'll try it again and hope there are more staff on hand to handle the crowds.

My reviews for pizza on the north side are all starting to sound the same. That's because all of the pizza I've tried has been disappointingly the same, and Some Guys is no exception. Maybe I'm just not the target consumer of this type of pizza that Carmelites and other northsiders seem to enjoy (matzoh-cracker crust, flavorless sauce, pizza cut into squares). If you like Puccini's, then you'll love Some Guys (and vice versa), because they are indistinguishable. Bazbeaux is very similar is taste and texture, too.

I think "Meh" is the best way I can describe our visit to Some Guys. We had tried to go two other times not realizing the weird, to me anyways, hours so I don't know if this had any impact on how I actually felt about the meal. Just so you are aware they do lunch from 11:30-2on weekdays, we got there at like 10 after 11, and they don't do lunch on the weekends, we assumed they did after knowing they had it during the week. We started with garlic bread and Cajun shrimp bisque which were the best parts of the meal to me. My wife had the "Bomb" pizza(Pepperoni, italian sausage, black olives(she didn't have the black olives), red onions, mushrooms and green peppers) and I had the the Stromboli. Both of these looked great when they came out but neither of them had a great deal of flavor. While it wasn't bad nothing was great either and being, for us, in between Pizzology and Rockstone isn't somewhere we will probably go back to since we like both of those better.

Best salads in Indy. A delicious assortment of pizza. This restaurant is a MUST try. It's average price. I don't recommend the cannolis for dessert though.

Some guy's got 'er wrong. I've been wanting to try Some Guys ever since moving to the area based on the Yelp reviews. We went around 1:30PM and after placing our order realized they closed at 2 on weekdays. That's annoying in itself. Who wants to feel rushed to eat when you know they're ready to lock the doors and prepare for the evening crowd? The pizza? I've experienced better. It's not bad, but it's not great either. In fact, if you asked me how the pizza was I probably couldn't come up with many adjectives to describe it. Great pizza has a flavor signature that burns a memory in the pizza area of your brain. Overall, meh. The Roma bread was dry. Lather it up with melted butter or something. Give it life. My biggest peeve is their prices. The pizza doesn't command the price that's charged. It falls short. Not to mention their wine. I'm talking $7.50 for a glass of wine! Are you kidding me? Does this place think they're ballers? I'll tell you something. Restaurants that CAN charge $7.50 for a glass of wine don't have food embedded along the booth backings. The place needed a good scrub down. I will say that our server was extremely friendly and enjoyable. She should be working at the restaurants on the upper echelon and not at Some Guys. Would I go back? Nope.

This place used to be a weekly must-go when I lived a few blocks away. Moved out of that area in 2004 and had not been back since. I had something going on over on this side of town last week and decided to stop in to get dinner for carryout. It's just as good as I remembered it. Had just a simple angel hair pomodoro with their fantastic dinner salad. I remember their pizza being excellent and will have to come back again for that. So will this be back in the rotation? Oh yeah. One reason I had not been back was because traveling across Carmel is so time consuming with all of their 20 and 30 mph speed limits and so many traffic lights. Now that the US31 corridor is open I can get from Westfield to Some Guys without hitting a single traffic light. Down to 8 minutes !!

Best Pizza in town. The Classic is a traditional crust with peperoni, great real italian sausage and cheese. Consistent great taste. Also have the house dinner salad (large feeds two) with balsamic vinaigrette with the pizza I take out from here often.

First time buyer, like time curious onlooker. It was a Friday night everyone wanted pizza. Tired of the norm, we thought to try Some Guys. We ordered a large House Pepperoni, a medium Margherita, and an order of Roma Bread. It was a call in order and the, what sounded like a teen, phone technician was somewhat short, rude, and didn't repeat my order to confirm full understanding. I knew they were short because I am taller than the average human. Luckily at pickup, a very nice woman was able to pull my $45 order together. The House Pepperoni was awesome. The Mozz and ricotta was well distributed. The hand cut pepperoni was very thick with just the right amount of spice. Basil was also present, adding my favorite flavor combo to tomatoes. The margherita was equally impressive. Unlike the square cut large pizza, this was a traditional slice cut. The tomatoes were indeed romas and very evenly sliced. The Mozz cheese had a nice chew. The garlic was a little unevenly distributed but easily corrected before consuming. The Roma bread is pretty basic and seems to be made from the same dough as the pizza. Dry herbs dust the top. Dust is appropriate as the bread is dry and crunchy. I drizzled a nice extra virgin olive oil and some sea salt to help add balance. My only real complaint is that the crust is lacking in flavor. Preparation is very nice as It's a thin, crispy crust but very dry. The char on the bottom was an even golden brown. The dough is docked to avoid oven rise so adding some sea salt to the mix wouldn't hurt texture. Even sprinkling some around the edges with a brushing of olive oil would do wonders. To be honest, it's reminiscent of a saltine cracker without the salt. Overall, we enjoyed the pies and would order again. The price feels a little high but this is a mom and pop shop that's not cranking out frozen dough so it's worth the price. Just be ready with some oil and salt:)

We've been on the search for the perfect pizza for months... we did not find it today. If you like a smattering of sauce and bread with your sheet of plasticized cheese, this the place for you. Gnawing on that wad of cheese gum like a cow gnaws on cud really soured me to the whole experience. We felt let down by the yelp community as a whole that any meal this disastrous could be from a place rated four stars ... then we remembered that we live in Indiana and that everyone is overweight and dying of heart disease and the popularity of flavored cheese saucers made sense. We took our leftovers to go because my wife has a kinder heart than me and didn't want to leave 2/3rds of a pizza abandoned, we threw them away as soon as we reached our driveway as the weight of our poor choice weighed on our stomachs foretelling of them wrath our insides are sure to be feeling for days. Less cheese please. Our waitress was nice though!

Wonderful Some Guys pizza, but on the Northside:-). If you are a fan of Some Guys Pizza on Allisonville Rd, you will be a fan of the Carmel location. Same great food, same great service. Yum, love me some Some Guys! I recommend the pizza to anyone and everyone. I am a big fan of the Cajun pie, try it! I have only had their Lasagna dish, never any other pasta. I love pizza too much to order anything else. I hear the vodka sauce is wonderful though. The Carmel location would get a 5 star rating, but I am not a fan of the actual restaurant. It's just a big room, really, and doesn't have the atmosphere or charm of the Allisonville location. That's my only knock against it!

This place flat out rocks. It's our go-to pizza place but the other food is great too. Staff is friendly and efficient and they have a great selection of drinks. It's not too big so it fills fast on Friday and Saturday. No reservations is a slight bummer but not a biggie. Definite must try place in Carmel.

They offer a great gourmet selection of unusual and delicious pizzas. The pad Thai pizza is SO good. Also the salads are generous and fresh, and I'm really picky about a good green salad.

Awful, awful awful! I try to forgive a lot of mistakes in service because I know these dudes are making like two bucks an hour. I will always forgive a small mistake here and there, because we're all human and I'm not going to yell at some poor kid for bringing me the wrong drink. I do get upset when my waiter comes off as a petulant brat who antagonizes me for correcting his mistakes or, god forbid, asking to split a check. The woman who sat us down and took our drink order was good. Unfortunately, she didn't stick around and we ended up with some kid in basketball shorts. He forgot parts of our order and didn't bother to apologize or look like he even gave a shit when we asked him to bring the forgotten elements back. Two drinks were refilled and *slammed* on the table (what the hell dude), and I was never even offered a second drink. Plates were obviously set off to the edge of the table and weren't cleared, the menus didn't even get picked up! Look kid, these are fundamentals. When we asked to split the check, he sighed audibly and said, "Look, next time you should let me know beforehand." Many mistakes followed this, but the biggest one was assuming there would be a next time at all. It took about twenty minutes of hemming and hawing before we finally considered just paying for our meal at the hostess stand. The waiter finally came back and rattled off the prices we would be paying, without any itemization or indication that he didn't just make up the prices from the top of his head. Great! We didn't even see the price of our meal in writing until he brought us some crappy little receipt slips to sign. I didn't really comment on the food because it was bland and completely forgettable, if not outright bad.

I don't know why but I always seem to forget about this place. However, when we do go I've always enjoyed the pizza. When I first moved to Carmel over 7 years ago this was the first pizza I had. I'm ashamed to say I've probably only eaten here maybe 5 times since then. Its located in the plaza at Grey and 126th street and I just don't go by there often enough to think about them. Despite not going often, I really do like their pizza. Its a bit different than most chain's and in a good way. I really need to come here more often.

Great pizza and salads. Love having Some Guys as our local pizza place. We dine in occasionally but typically do carry out. Cannot go wrong with the Bomb or Greek pizzas!

  • Caleb C.

Some Guys is a all-around good locally-owned neighborhood pizza joint. Plenty of in-house dining, and you can get your food to go if need be. Their pizza is what I would grade as a B--lots of cheese, plenty of sauce, some creative toppings available, straightforward crust, sometimes on the greasy side. But not to sell them short, they also have some very good pasta selections (usually there's a special du jour), and their salads are excellent (try the house dressings!). To top things off, they have a small selection of decent microbrews, including some of the local folks like Sun King and Upland.

  • Stephen D.

For our group of 8, we shared the large classic pizza along with the special pizza. Both were very good. Love the cheese and their sauce. I will comment that this location has very little atmosphere and no personality. Very bland - practically destroys the mood. If you want true wood oven baked pizza with personality and atmosphere, go to their sister location south on Allisionville Road off 62nd street. Be prepared to wait. It's very popular.

Great food, reasonable prices and pleasant waitstaff. Since there isn't a California Pizza Kitchen anywhere around, this place has the Thai Chicken pizza that I crave. It's good pizza, but on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give the pizza an 8. It's definitely worth going to and always seems to be packed.
