I give two stars to this restaurant. Bad services and long time to wait. Test is ok but not so good.

Ordered satay beef and fried lamb with cumin today. However, the beef tasted like leather (too tough to bite). The lamb was so thin buried with a lots of onions and the portion of lamb was very limited. Disappointed.

Good place to have Chinese bbq. It's the authentic spicy flavor. Though a bit expensive. We three people spent almost $90 there.

Recommended by friends, so I tried this place, their hotpot are really cheap, but the quality of foods are not impressive, their grill didn't taste well, I also order the spicy shrimp cooked in pot, not impressive, don't have much flavor, I may go for hot pot for cheap price, but not others

Super excited about the reviews saying Taste of China is delicious and authentic. Crab rangoons were awesome! The man who helped me at the front was so nice and eager to explain the dishes. The menu was extensive, but it did not include the ingredients. Only downside was that it was a tad oily, but definitely still recommend this place!

Taste of China has the most authentic Chinese food here in Bloomington. Their food is not pricy at all!

I visited there last weekend and learned from a note on the door that they will not open during the summer until some time in August. Just let you know...

I stopped by Taste of China for dinner and ate two very delicious dishes. The garlic scallops came with thin rice noodles on top of their shells and were outstanding. The green beans with spiced ground beef were also excellent. The portion size on the scallops was slightly small but the green bean/ground beef portion was generous. I will definitely be returning to try some of their other menu options.

The people writing bad reviews are basing their taste in our Americanized version of Chinese food. This restaurant is legit and actually authentic. If you want real Chinese food, this is the place to be. If you want lame, tasteless noodles, go elsewhere.

A new Chinese restaurant in town, with very friendly waiter. The chef can cook almost any Chinese dish. They have dishes that you can find in most Chinese restaurants, as well as some unique ones like grilled whole fish. Give it a try next time you are in the area!

The food is very good for Chinese people. It tastes really good! Deduct one star for the service. My suggestion is to design the menu better and be more active for service so that we can pay tips without hesitation.

This is the first time I ever write a review for a restaurant. I'm writhing this one because I'm really surprised that bloomington actually has such an authentic chinese restaurant here! I've been to a lot of "best chinese food in town" of many cities in the states. This one is the best of best!

When the dishes came, I thought "wow, that must be delicious!" But the truth is that one shall never judge something only according to its appearance.

I've eaten here about three times now, and it's always great! Order something authentic and you won't be disappointed! Great good and great service. When I'm in the mood for chinese, I go to Taste of China.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
