Love the food and service! Myself and my wife have been here several times in a span of 8 months and have never been disappointed. May not be the place for calorie conscious because I dont think there are several low calorie options offered.

Being a chain, we expected mediocre food. We got what we were expecting. The thing that blew us away though was how grossly over priced it was. For two of us for lunch, our tab was $40 for a very so-so meal. I don't mind paying the price for a good meal but... Luckily, we were given a gift card so that softened the blow...some what. I must say that our server was delightful. I just wish the food met her standards.

Olive Gardens are consistent with the same menu items and specials thoroughout the land. Of course, the service can vary greatly but I haven't found that to be an issue recently. Today we stopped in the Bloomington location to grab a quick bite before the trip back to Indy. This location is much smaller than the Avon location but was cozy, extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. Our server, Anna, was bubbly, friendly and helpful answering a few questions about the newer items we hadn't tried yet. She certainly is a true Olive Garden advocate and enjoys working with people. My friend selected pasta with meat sauce and was very happy with her selection. I chose the Italian Sausage Sandwich on cibatta bread. The sandwich came with the sausage cut in half to fit the bread, smothered with sauteed onions and red peppers in a nice marinara sauce. We both had the well known house salad. Overall good food, great price and excellent service.

Following our previous visit, the manager emailed and seemed genuinely concerned about our experience. He offered, but we passed, on an incentive to dine there again. However, we did stop in, unannounced, for a late night, mid-week meal in July. Our server, Brandy, was wonderful and the food was quite good; Brandy was able to obtain answers for questions on country of origin for the seafood and farm vs. wild, etc. When my husband expressed concern over the alfredo possibly being dry, she just brought an extra small dish of sauce. Food, service and value were very good, more in keeping with what we expect for the Olive Garden chain. Yes, they had meatballs!!! Last month, we purchased two gift certs for friends and they raved about the service and food at this location.

The food is different depending on the cook. Sometimes it's good, other times it's bland. The last time I went it tasted good, very flavorful. However our sever wasn't very good at his job. No refills. No extra breadsticks.

I thought everything was great! I am full! Food was great. No issues. I don't know what else to say. Tasted great to me.

Gave it more than one chance. Not impressed. Friendly but slooow service, very high prices relative to what you are getting. How much can it really cost them to truck in the dried noodles, frozen sauces and proteins, and combine them in the various corporate focus-group approved combinations? Booooringggg.

Good drinks and you know what to expect with the food. It's not the best...its not the worst...but frankly I hate Italian places where most the entrees are over $20. Come on. It's pasta. Today's service was mediocre. But that's based on one waiter tonight. Overall, they all are pretty friendly.

I asked my friend to recommend me a place for lasagna. Olive Garden is what they told me. I love that place. It's quiet, the service is great. The most important is the food portion, it' huge, unlimited refill with reasonable price. I definitely will go back there again this summer.

My 100 year old great grandmother, grandmother, mother, and I came here for lunch. Our server "Shawn D." Was extremely rude. We went 20 minutes without drinks altogether after we got our salad first. Our food way horrible. He was too busy mingling with other servers to see me attempting to get his attention. I had to flag down a manager who brushed me off. After he recieved his $10 tip from my grandmother and we were halfway out the door he chased us to ask if we needed to go drinks or boxes as half of us are out of the restaurant. The only reason he recieved $10 is because im a server and gma thought he was cute....will NOT be going back.

I have friends who consider Olive Garden to be nothing more than ketchup on spaghetti - I consider those folks Italian food snobs! :) The OG is an OG....you know what you're getting, the menu and quality is consistent. I love a great Italian meal, and when possible I'm happy to eat at more 'authentic' Italian joints, but when the family is looking for a inexpensive and convenient option, I think the Olive Garden fits that description well. For carryout, the Olive Garden also has great 'family style' deals - large portions of the basics, all the fixings including the salad and stix, and they package it incredibly well. You can feed your family on the cheap and pick it up on the way home. It's hot and ready, in a large pan and easily served.

I ordered 3-courses there which includes homemade soup, Bucatatini with meat source and strawberry dolcini. I spent 19 dollars including iced tea. Generally, I love the taste of them, especially the dolcini, which melts in the mouth immediately. The waitress was nice because near end, she asked me if I needed a to-go box. Additionally, I LOVE the environment there for its clean and quiet. The only thing I keep my thought is that the location of Olive Garden is a little bit far away from the campus. So, without the car, students, as the biggest consumer group, can't go there easily.

Just one time, one combo... so I have to say it's not my taste.

It's an Olive Garden, you basically know what to expect. Generally, I've no interest in it, but my parents are die-hard fans of familiarity and the bang-for-your buck factor, so I've wound up here with them on a few occasions. And, if you do the whole unlimited soup/salad/breadstick thing, it can be quite the value, although the food does tend to be a little too salty for me. The entrees are passable and not terribly overpriced considering the large portion sizes. Where this particular location excels (and the reason I'm writing a review of a place as ubiquitous as the Olive Garden) is in the customer service department. Seriously, I don't know if these people are faking it and are just really great actors or if they are sincerely the friendliest most accommodating restaurant staff in the universe. I'm leaning toward the latter, but either way I always enter feeling welcomed and leave feeling as if they genuinely cared that my meal went beyond smoothly. Given the surly and/or lackadaisical natures of so many hipster/hippie/college-student servers at so many of the popular bohemian downtown spots, it's actually quite refreshing to go to a restaurant where servers don't think they're too cool to be friendly.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
