Again, this Golden Corral is the best one I have visited. Food is fresh and service is impeccable. I had another great experience here. Read the review below as well. It's even better than last year. Tyler was my server and always asked if I wanted more coffee, if I had enough cream, etc. refilled my water. He was terrific. The general manager came over and talked with me and others in the restaurant. I want to have a catering order for my group. He said they deliver or we can have the party room! I was there around 11, had breakfast and then they brought lunch out. Breakfast items remained. Great biscuits! Folks, this Corral is great and it's due to dedicated professionals like these. I will come every time I am in Bloomington.

G corral is stepping it up. Ribs flavorful, best Mac n cheese n town. Definitely kid friendly.. My daughters running everywhere lol. No complaints. Meatloaf uber bland... But getting it right in any resteraunt is super rare. Everything is clean, server attentive. Food is clearly fresh... Meat cuts, truly delectable. Chicken gizzards not parchment dry! And have flavor... Its buffet style food- really can't ask for more. Kids under 3 free. 15.99 for two drinks and an adult meal... Guess not bad, but for two adults maybe pricyish. Again, you want buffet American, they corner that market in this town...

I've never been impressed. The price is a bit much for what you get, as you can cook better comfort food at home. My husband clearly told the lady serving drinks that he wanted diet Coke without ice. He got regular Coke. When the server came around and my husband asked for diet, he brought another regular Coke again, even though my husband had clearly asked for diet. There have been times when we ate there and the servers were just piling dirty dishes on other tables near us rather than taking them back to the kitchen to be washed, which is disgusting. The food is not replenished often enough. A lot of things are either too salty or too bland. We only go because my parents for some reason like that place, so we go with them. I would never want to go on my own. Yuck. Try the Golden Corral in Bedford instead if you get a chance. Their food is fresher and a much better quality than the one in Bloomington. We stop off there about once a year and it's actually decent and worth the money.

The worst food and service you can imagine. The place is filthy, a lot of the food is expired or has been sitting for days. In short I wouldn't eat their food with you mouth. The Golden Corral in Bedford is the opposite. The food is fresh and delicious and the restaurant is clean and very well managed.

Let me say right off the bat that you would be better off driving another 20 minutes down 37 South and visit the Golden Corral in Bedford instead. Your experience there will more than make up for the drive. This review takes place about two hours after what will possibly be our last visit to this particular Golden Corral. To say that the staff are less than responsive is an understatement. Nobody was manning the registers or soda fountain when we arrived at 7:00 PM, and nobody was at the grill or carving stations for extended periods of time during our visit. The food at this location also pales in comparison to the Bedford restaurant. Their vegetables are fresh, the steaks are nicely grilled, and the wait staff are courteous and efficient. So, to summarize: Bloomington Golden Corral - bad. Bedford Golden Corral - good. PS to Bloomington parents: please accompany your kids at the food bar at all times. Nothing curbs an appetite more than watching a child reach barehanded into a food tray while the parents have walked on to another food station. Being a parent and grandparent myself, I can honestly say that this is not cool.

It's OK pricewise if you go on the days where they have a deal. (Thursday after 4pm is some kind of deal for kids for example). The best thing about this place is putting all kinds of things in the chocolate fountain and seeing if it melts. The cotton candy for example.... no contest it just disintegrates instantly! The worst thing.. they have these glorified bus boys that expect tips for refilling your drink once in a while. Lame.

Yes, it is cheap food, and yes, it isn't the greatest quality. But believe it or not, this place has the best salad bar in town. $9.50 is probably a bit steep for just a few plates of salad, but throw in some soup, a rotissery chicken, and a dessert, and it becomes a deal.

Ok this is a bit sad but they had one of the best slabs of meat on the buffett I have had in Bloomington. I like mine medium-rare to medium and for some reason even the $30 a steak place by the mall couldn't accomplish this. I went to golden corral by force and found they will cut any part of the meat you want whether its well done to a crisp or still bleeding, it's available and unlimited.

Golden Corral is a huge buffett place. It is pretty good for dinner, they even have steak. However, I went there for lunch and it wasn't the greatest.

I can't give this place more than 2 stars, may be 2.5. I was there one time by my choice and few more times when someone else was picking a place to go (almost all visits during dinner time), but by my choice I wouldn't go back again. First, food. They have a huge selection of comfort and other food, but seems like their staff can't take care of such selection, so some dishes are stale or empty for a long time. Many meals cooked very greasy and sloppy. Grill is pretty bad, I asked for medium steak and it was dry like my leather belt, I came back asking for rare one, and it poured raw blood on my plate when I pierced it with knife. Their pizza is dripping with oil and tastes not any better than $1 microwaveable pizza from Kroger. Some desserts are pretty good for buffet, but that's it. I've seen strawberries with green mold spots in their dessert bar. They have chocolate fountain, but I never use it since I've seen how kids liking off hot chocolate from cookies and marshmellows they stick to fountain and then sticking it BACK to fountain to lick it off again and again. Gross! This fountain is pure biohazard! Not mentioning that it's always like a pound of random food foating in this fountain (people dropping things there). Service. Sometimes ok for buffet, but not if they're busy. One time it took server 3 attempts to bring me right soda I ordered. Few times when servers were busy they didn't take old plates right to the back, but actually were piling them up on one of free tables, so people got to sit next to the table with food leftovers. Drink refills sometimes come when glasses are being empty for a while. Atmosphere. That's what I don't like there as well. It's loud, there is a lot of unattended kids running around when you're trying to carry plate of hot food, not everybody behaves nice there. I don't want to sound rude, but the best way for me to describe atmosphere of this place is a "potluck cookout in trailer park". Overall, if you want several plates of ok-level comfort food per person for a little money no matter what, it's a place to go. If you would be satisfyed with one plate of well cooked comfort food and want nice atmosphere of family restaurant with average loudness for about the same money, I would recommend to go to other places, like Bob Evans just a few minutes away.

Awesome quality food. Loved it. They had so much food. It was fun. They had pot roast, great ice cream, macroni and cheese, awesome beef tips, awesome mashed potatoes and much more!

I went here last week before it closed. Quite few people, but food is enough. I like the steak and blueberry pie. Really desert to eat with low price and get full. Besides, the service is good. The servers ask your need frequently. They also refuel your drink before you want to ask. I've recommended this place to my friends. I'll be there later.
