Little hole in the wall restaurant on the way back into Bloomington. Spent a weekend backpacking the Deam Wilderness and all of my friends recommended this place. We stopped to use the bathroom and grab a late breakfast. I think I spent like $4 on a coffee, OJ (in a bottle) and a pancake. I almost got the stack but she told me they were plate size...glad I went with just one. The decor is something like one of those places which are part crafts shop, part restaurant, I believe everything was for sale. One of the oddest things I noticed was the bag of water over the door...I thought it was a joke or something but the waitress told me it was to keep flies out. One of my buddies said he has eaten here for years and never seen a fly in the summer so it must work! Bathrooms are kinda small and dirty and could really use an update. I would come here for a quick meal again if I'm in the area.

I'm not saying this is a true '4-star' restaurant, but it should receive props for what it is...a great, little, local place that can serve up a perfect traditional grilled cheese, sweet tea, and tasty home fries. Let's face it, Bloomington is blessed with an abundant supply of bourgeoisie food. You are not going to get locally-roasted coffee, Indiana maple syrup, a vegetarian-separated fryer, or organic milk for your coffee - you will get eggs cooked to absolute perfection, potatoes that are both soft and crispy, and you will do this at a great price. Because of this, I think it deserves 4 stars. Logistic Details: The restaurant is on one end of the building and the lounge is on the other. Although the restaurant is smoke-free, some smoke can waft down the hall from the lounge - so if you are allergic, this might not be the place for you - that being said, I am smoke-sensitive but was fine. Although I paid in cash, I did see a credit card machine. I don't know the hours but they are opened on Sundays, for breakfast and also in the evening for the music acts in the lounge. Parking is plentiful.

This is a great hole-in-the-wall place. It might serve up the best pork tenderloin sandwich I have ever had. The price is very reasonable (cheap, actually), and the bar at night is great fun. This place is ideal if your way back from a day of boating/fishing at Lake Monroe.

Awesome breakfast food and the service was wonderful. I had over easy eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, and a biscuit and it was all cooked perfectly and was exactly what I wanted after a night of camping and drinking. I highly recommend this place
