Panda Express is a chain, but the reason I'm reviewing this location is because, well, staff and service can mean a lot. This location in Wilmette has a very good staff. Very polite, very prompt, seldom under-staffed, and if you have to order something that will take a while to cook, they'll sometimes offer you a drink or something while you wait. I've only had an order mistake once, and it was quickly rectified, and it was only the one time in many, many, MANY times I've gone there over the past year and a half. I've been to, say, McDonalds where a particular location would get my order wrong time and time again...this Panda Express doesn't suffer from that issue. The food is Panda Express food, and tastes like any other from the chain, but with this location you don't have to worry about rude or stupid staff.

Portions here are very small (even if you request a carry out box). There are no refills on drinks. The store manager and staff will NOT turn on the heat, even if it's zero degrees outside. I've been here many times over the years, and have noticed that its really cold whenever I dine inside. The ONLY time(s) that heat is turned on is when there are children in strollers, or senior citizens coming in to eat. This is how a manager wants to save money - by not turning on the heat!!!! I liked the old management back years ago. Now this location is just a DUMP.

Well, it's a pretty decent and clean Panda Express, and everyone's pretty polite. No complaints! :) 4 stars because it's pretty reliable to come to this location and not have odd/nasty occurrences, etc.

This place is gross. The food it's old and cold and if you get lucky to get a new tray they actually put the remaining old food on top! My last order they got wrong! I've was standing right there...the staff is not bright and does not care. Try 5 guys next door...so much better!

The food was great! But the staff is not. One of the lady's was sooo nice and saying how are you? But the other one didn't seem like she liked working at Panda Express and was not nice at all. I don't know if I will come back to this one.

It's really clean and the staff is friendly, I took off a star because I got Chow Mein and they gave me the cold left overs instead of asking me if I wanted to wait for fresh ones... But it wasn't a big deal everything else was fresh. I would recommend it since most Panda Expresses are well kept and friendly.

Did you know Panda Express caters? well now you know...Well my friend threw a party and catered through Panda because who doesn't love Panda Express?! Orange Chicken Baby! Even though I was excited to have every single Panda Express dish at my disposal I have to be honest that the portions were small. For catering tray pans they are not nearly big enough. They barely fed everyone and ran out fast. So this is my review if you're considering catering from them. They do provide you with serving spoons

Panda Express does not have fresh choices at 8pm. I don't recommend going at this time at 8pm. The selections are slim and the taste is dry and chewy like everything has been under the lights on the hot table all day. The fried rice was dry and the orange chicken was hard and chewy. The service is kind and courteous so I will try the location again during lunch. Also, eating in at 8pm is also not recommended because that's when they start breaking down the store and cleaning for the next day. They were mopping and spraying chemicals all around us. YUCK! Again, not recommended at this hour. So, consistency with food freshness and taste is not throughout the day. Bummer.

horrible service !!!! if you go after 7 pm you will have to wait for food because they never have any prepared ... you will wait 7 to 10 minutes while your other food is getting cold ... if there are orders before yours they fill them first and you may have to wait another 7 to 10 minutes for the same entree to come out because they ran out again .... poor servcie poor attitude ...dont waste your time ... CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY REALLY DIDNT SEEM TO CARE ...ALL I GOT WAS IM SORRY ... ANY GOOD BUSINESS WOULD OFFER YOU COUPON OR SOMETHING.....

A solid, four-star star review for Panda Express? You betcha. Syrupy, corn starch goodness mixed with fresh vegetables, incredibly prepared meat, clean and sparkling interiors and a somewhat traditional Asian soundtrack playing in the restaurant make this the best Panda I've ever eaten in. Every time I eat here (which is only the third time), the cuisine quality has been consistent and yummy. Sure, this isn't supposed to look like an authentic Chinatown restaurant--there are no pigs or ducks hanging on hooks in the window--but the food here is wonderful. What a treat finding this outpost. They seem to care about the community, too, because there are several signs in the restaurant about "Cater your next event here..." "Have a celebration at Panda--Ask Manager How". You go to a typical downtown Chicago Panda Express location and the sign you're most likely to see is, "Clean After Yourself." Ah, there is something pleasant about being in the suburbs.

Like any fast food franchise, this place has its ups and downs. Sometimes the food is good (cooked on the day i get in this place) and sometimes it's pretty bad (serving the left overs from the day before).

This was my favorite after school fast food place when I went to Loyola Academy. The employees are very nice. The store is well kept, cleaned, and was recently renovated. Panda Express makes the best fast Chinese food on the planet. I highly recommend this place.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
