I order Asian takeout about once a week and this is the best in the area. They have a lunch buffet for under $8 that has a small selection but is good for the price. The dinner menu has a much larger selection and reasonably priced. The egg foo young is my favorite item on the menu but the other things I have tried on the menu and just as good. I Highly recommend this place if you love Asian takeout. They also have great smoothies.

The delivery driver was incredibly rude to me and lectured me over the phone about my address being too hard to find. Then when i called in to complain all i got was sass. Will never eat from this resturant again.

Mediocre food and a rude staff. Me thinks a return trip is out of the question.

Dont get to the buffet after 1:00 or you will be scraping the bottom of the trays. We got there at 1:15 - the buffet supposedly ends at 2:30. They gave us attitude when we asked them to bring out more food - and what they brought out was absolute garbage. This place used to be my favorite.

This was my first visit to the place though we have had delivery in the past. The food is okay. It's great quality for suburban tastes though I think the city has spoiled me some; I always expect better. The food is not really a WOW but it's good. They often mess up the delivery so we decided to pick up. The place is very clean though like most Chinese food joints, was a little outdated looking. My partner in crime told me he hates the service here other than when the father is taking care of him. My tip? DON'T order iced coffee here; they were making themselves espresso behind the bar when we came in & when we asked for iced coffees, they took out the instant coffee & sort of argued over not making it as such in front of us so they took it to the back of the kitchen. The coffee was a watery mess. The young woman that took our order told the guy to take it to the back (I took a little Mandarin) & asked us if we liked our coffee. We just grinned since our food hadn't come out yet~wouldn't want an unpleasant surprise mixed into it (I KNOW; I'm cynical but better safe than sorry)! The way I saw it, if they could make themselves quality espressos in front of the customers, they should serve the same quality to us! When we got home, they didn't provide us with forks or napkins. It would take a lot to convince me to go back though I admit that their unusually tomatoey/tangy, their pad Thai was kinda good.

This place is so good I would move closer to it! I had the General Tsao's chicken, veggie eggroll, crab rangoon and pork fried rice. Everything was delicious! Chicken is pricey at $9.95 for full portion, but there was plenty of leftovers. The chicken had lots of flavor, both a little sweet and it had the zing for spicy. Delicious!

Ordered food for delivery, they said about 35 minutes; it was here in about 20 minutes. Delivery man was prompt and very courteous. I had never had food from this restaurant...I must say...EXCELLENT. Everything from the Combination Egg Rolls, steamed rice; and the Combination Lo Mein was absolutely awesome. I'll definitely order from them again, as well as stopping by for inside dining.

Confession time: I had never been to a Chinese buffet before this. I've always been scared because it sounded like a dodgy concept. This experience let me know that it wouldn't be the horrifying food I imagined... but it wasn't great. The egg rolls were good, the crab rangoon tasted overdone and kind of stale, the chicken I had was kind of nondescript and the rice was kind of crunchy that comes from rice sitting exposed to air for too long. It was a big step up from Panda Express, but it wasn't what you get when you get something to order. I would be happy to go again to try their lunch menu with food cooked to order. I saw another diner's plate and was jealous of their food's appearance!

Malahini is my favorite place for chinese in the western suburbs. The crab rangoon is nice and plump, the egg rolls are delicious, and the authentic hong kong style menu is very very good. They have some neat tropical drinks, and a good selection of liquor. The lunch buffet is a great value, I wish that I worked closer so that I could take advantage of it more. They seem to do more take out, so there is rarely a wait to be seated.

We went to Malahini Terrace last night. Loved it!! Nice intimate atmosphere and very friendly staff. That is always a plus and a good start. The menu offered up a variety of dishes. It was hard to choose. But I did end up starting with a Mai Tai. Then proceeded to order egg drop soup and egg roles. Came very quick. Steamy hot. Just how we like it. Then I order General Tsa Chicken. It was soooo very good. It just oozed with flavor. Chicken was crunchy not soggy. The peppers were cooked just right. Good sized proportion. My guy had the Moo-Shu Pork and he also said it was very good and tasty. We will definitely go back.

Great Chinese food! This hidden gem has been here forever. Excellent eggrolls! They are best known for their buffet that is exclusive to weekdays. It is pretty cheap, about $6 for all you can eat, which is a great deal for a big appetite. I like being able to pick and choose a bit of this, a bit of that. Check them out, it's your basic Chinese joint, nothing fancy, just great food.

Went with some co-workers today. We got the buffet. On the whole it was good, certainly better than average. High points were the teriyaki chicken sticks, egg rolls, General Tso's, and those little doughnuty things. Low point was the spicy beef (?) dish, and drinks. Truth be told, I couldn't be sure it was beef or pork, or if it was battered/fried, or just REALLY dry and crispy. Unlike most Chinese restaurants, getting soda is not a glass you can refill, but a can and a glass of ice. On the upside, it kept me from ingesting too much soda. Anyway, those minor points would not dissuade me from going again. Price was reasonable ($) for a buffet.

When it comes to Chinese food I am very picky with the quality of the meat. I was not very happy with that here. I definitely wouldn't say that this place is the worst I have had but far from the best.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
