Very Good Food! The woman at the restaurant does it all: server, receptionist, cashier. Food came out really hot and fresh, which is the way I like my food. Guacamole tasted like it was made fresh.

The staff is friendly. The seating is limited but the food is delicious. Good portions for a good price.

Yelpers, don't be led astray like I was by the high rating. This is below average Mexican food priced above what its quality merits. This place is about two notches below El Famous Burrito in terms of quality and freshness. The mildew smell inside and the sticky stained tables are far from being "Sabrocito" The chips and salsa appetizer came with about 10 small chips. The enchiladas verdes were bland thru and thru. Flavorless ground beef with literally flavorless salsa. The enchiladas themselves were tiny and covered in a thick layer of bland, greasy cheese. The taco/enchilada/quesadilla combo plate at $11ish is a ripoff given that 2/3 items contained only cheese and no meat. Unfortunately the bad food and mediocre experience won't permit a return visit to test the outdoor seating. My decision to venture beyond my regular rotation of Mexican joints was not rewarded. I was surprised that such a below average Mexican restaurant had an all-Mexican clientele for dinner given the plethora of higher quality competitors in the area.

This place is conveniently located. And the shrimp was really good. They attempt to be very authentic so as a result they throw any decoration with a mexican theme up, which leaves a jumbled and overwhelming atmosphere especially considering its so small. The service was not great the waitress acted like it was a problem to wait on us. Then she left before we did so we had to pay another waitress who acted like she didn't even want to talk to us. My shrimp dish was about 13 dollars which is not the worst but a little high considering the price of everything else which was low. Overall im a little surprised at the high reviews of this place. Maybe i came on a bad day but i wont be returning anytime soon. Though i will admit that the shrimp was very delicious. But for whatever reason they decided it was impossible to put it in quesdila form.

Very good authentic Mexican food. Simple and small place, i think there's a total of 6 tables. All food here is good and great portions. i love al-pastor and they make the best in the area. I always get the al-pastor quesadilla plate which comes with guacamole and sour cream...its more than enough for one person so i always count on left overs. i highly recommend this place if you're looking for tasty and authentic Mexican food at a good price.

Pretty Decent Food. The only downer is that its very small and hard to get seats there during the lunch/dinner rush. Overall its a good place to get some food.

Tried the tacos (very good and cheap - $1.45 each as of today). They come with red and green salsa cups. Chilaquiles are also very good. If you order them spicy, they come VERY spicy. Definitely more authentic than much of the Mexican restaurants one might find in the area.

The place had nothing that stood out from any other location around the neighborhood . Food was ok but I felt as if they could have done a little bit more to stand out. Location is easy to find, dining in space can only accommodate maybe 4 groups of 4.

I kept seeing how highly rated this place was, so I stopped by for some take out. Menu has all the classic. All in Spanish with English underneath. Girl behind the counter and the guy doing the cooking were both pleasant. Ordered 2 chicken tacos (shredded) that come with cheese, onions, cilantro, and tomatoes by default. The red and green sauces offered up were tasty but not too spicy. I also picked up a chorizo torta. Very tasty. Don't hesitate to give this place a try.

I've been so happy every time I've eaten here. I usually can't get past the smothered burrito because it's ridiculously good, but I've also had the taco salad (slightly greasy but good) and enchiladas with green sauce which were wonderful.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
