Ask for Kayla as your server! She is absolutely amazing. The watermelon margarita was too die for! We ordered the pretzel app which was also good and a friend ordered the app sampler for their people and said they'd order it again. I ordered a steak and shrimp combo with two sides for I think $18.99, which I thought was a pretty good deal! A 6 oz steak and 6 pieces of shrimp. Yum!! Would for sure recommend to anyone and will be back again soon!

I'll start off my saying I love longhorn steakhouse, but NOT this one. It's 3 minutes from my house but I'd rather drive the 40 minutes to go to the other location norridge. They always forget stuff. My steak is always either undercooked or overlooked. Once, I placed an order to go and when I arrived, the manager told me it's not a good idea to place orders that late because the cooks get lazy. A manger told me this! Stay away.

Since it's been a couple of months since my initial review of LongHorn Steakhouse I thought it would be a good time to update. Yesterday was my son Nick's 30th Birthday and we chose LongHorn as our place to celebrate with a Birthday lunch. You know you've really found a great place when upon entering the staff remembers you and welcomes you warmly. And regarding this tremendous staff of people, they impressed me on day 2 of opening/operation and they impressed me even more yesterday. Even my son Nick took notice of how on top of everything they all were. And, our server Rafael, he was so funny and personable, boy, did I like him! Hope if any of you visit LongHorn you will be seated at Rafael's station, He's pretty top notch! We had a great lunch, my son Nick started off with 2 Birthday Beers, however, none for me since I'm on the wagon permanently. And, they have appetizer specials during the week and Nick had spicy chicken bites which he loved. Warm honey wheat bread, a Caesar Salad for me, Flo's 8 oz filet for Nick and grilled chicken breast for me, pretty much rounded out a perfect meal. Okay, and yes, I did the Mom thing and made sure Nick would have a special Birthday Treat , and yes, Rafael brought Nick a special Birthday Sundae and boy, did that look good! However, due to my heart attack a few weeks ago I'm on the wagon from that too! Man, life really sucks sometimes! And, just a quick tip, they have a new dessert menu item at LongHorn, it's like a lemon, blueberry buttery cake and Nick gave that a definite 2 thumbs up! So, once again to the great folks at LongHorn I say Thank You, so glad we chose to celebrate with you yesterday, you've all done yourselves proud yet again In me you've found a fan for life!

Came here because wanted a quick meal and the noodles and company was still closed. This place is typical of a chain restaurant except with a "western" feel. There were beautiful paintings of horses on the wall as well as rodeo belts and light fixtures made of horns. It's pretty new so the place is super clean! Food: I ordered the seven pepper sirloin salad- and I was surprised that I was not asked how I liked the steak cooked. The steak was peppery and not too dry but it's definitely NOT 5-star-melt-in-your-mouth-prime-rib :( but hey- you get what you pay for! The salad was good- make sure to order dressing on the side- it came with a monstrous calorie-laden tub of ranch. I also wanted avocado but the amount they gave (which I waited 10 minutes for) was minuscule. The bread and butter is amazing. We also had the kettle chips which I highly recommend- crisp yet buttery. Service: Our waitress was friendly and gave solid recommendations. I did have to ask twice for my condiments but she did check on us a few times. We were seated right away and everyone had smiles on their faces. Bathrooms: very clean and new. big pluses. Verdict: Definitely will come back to try another dish. It's super chain-restaurant-esq. but I definitely like that they have a selection of steaks. A-OK for being a chain restaurant.

Been to this location a few times since they've opened and every visit has been great! From the bartenders to the servers, I've noticed how nice everyone is. I wish I could remember her name but I can't, it was the black, female bartender that I had for my first visit who was just amazing. We went back recently and she remembered us and stopped and said hi (going to look for her next time!). David/Dave and Christine were the 2 servers I've had and they were both great as well. The steaks have always come out cooked properly and the Wild West shrimp appetizer (I think that's what it's called) is a must try!! It's honestly hard not to keep going back.

For a franchised steakhouse restaurant, this place has exceeded my expectations time and again. When, I had driven by to see that there a newly opened Longhorn restaurant in the area not too long ago, I felt that I should stop in and give it a try. I'm so glad I did and if you're craving steak, I'm sure you'll be happy and full too. I came there on an early Sunday night and despite the fact they were busy, we were seated right away. It's a very family friendly establishment as I had noticed besides my present company of wife and baby, there were plenty of other families seated around us. Our server was Maryanne and she is simply a gem. As busy as she was, she was on top of things at all times. From the basic checking in to see how we were doing, she kept our water glasses full, kept us updated on our food order and is definitely the most pleasant wait person we had ever had! I ordered the fried green tomatoes for the appetizer and the ribeye medium well with a few sides (Mac and cheese, broccoli, sautéed mushrooms and onions) to accompany the meal. The steak was cook to absolute perfection, it was a slight pink, but tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The sides were a great addition even though I could have eaten the steak on its own and would have been completely satisfied at that point. I cannot wait to come back and have the same experience! The food was simply delicious and the waitstaff equally commendable for their outstanding service.

Better like Country AND Western cuz that's all they play. For a REALLY NEW joint its already looking dirty. The spaces around me at the bar took a LONG time to get cleared and still have sticky, dirty menus around me. Wine list is pretty simplistic but the 14 Hands Merlot is solid. The "Longpour" seems to be the better dea from the menu especially for the higher priced options. The Shrimp and Lobster Chowder was pretty good. Had a decent amount of shrimp pieces and lobster chunks. Tasted good but too heavily thickened with roux. About what I would expect from most of these chain restaurants, using too much roux. Had their Longhorn Gourmet Burger with Garlic Sauteed Spinach, Bacon Mayo and White Cheddar. Won't cook a burger under Med, but they did hit the Med mark, which was good. Under seasoned burger though, but was solid. Asparagus was a tad overdone, but fine. French Fries could use a few more minutes, limpy. My bartender was very nice, just some service basics are missing, like the bar or spaces could use a wipe down. Wasn't given a napkin with my chowder, had to ask for silver with my burger... Didn't have a napkin for my dessert. Ok, one nice touch... The silver served with my dessert was chilled. And the Molten Lava Cake is HUGE. Its pretty OK. If I REALLY want a steakhouse experience, I'd go to something more "local" like EJs on Skokie HYWY. But... This is in my closer proximity and the PEOPLE who work here are local. Yea, I'd come back. Though the music does get to me.

First time eating here i asked for my steak to he well done, i was served a raw steak with ice cold sides, including everyone else in my party. They did not serve me a new steak they cooked my cut steak that was in two pieces already and cooked througly. The second time I came in was busy but not fully busy, the buzzer stopped working so the host walked around yelling out names. My wait ended up being well over a hour because clearly the bussers does not bus any tables ,they just walk around holding a spray bottle and rag and wait for the host to bus the tables, how backwards is that. As i sat down, while waiting another forty minutes for food, I watched a supervisor stand there, wipe his nose with his hand, and then scrath his head and not wipe his hands in the middle of the dining room, how nasty. Im confused to why any of the supervisors was not helping to serve food. They just stood in a huddle talking. My server barely served me, i asked to the food runner for refills etc. Overheard host says the pay was horrible. 4.75 a hour and they are greeters, bussers, door openers, to go orders, etc. I cant believe the host is paid that much. Food is good, expensive, but the serivce is slow and horrible.

My wife and I went for our anniversary. We were just looking for a nice place to be ourselves and have good food. I never expect perfection when we eat out, my wife is so picky about how her food is served and prepared-I would swear I was married to Chef Ramsey! Anyway, our hostess seated us right away. Very pleasant. The miracle happened when our waiter, tall kid with freckles (Wyatt) befriended us instantaneous! We felt like we knew him our whole lives. He was very personable, answered all our goofy questions and entertained our quirky humor. The meal was wonderful!! The drinks were strong and needless to say, I had a happy wife by the end of the night. We agreed to rename he restaurant "Wyatt's Place (inside Longhorn). Haha The food was good the day after reheated in the microwave too!

Great new Longhorn's! Convenient location, plenty of parking and of course the great food. Love the margaritas.

Great food. 3rd time here since it opened and every time I receive great service and deliciously cooked steaks. Staff is very friendly. Love this place. Would recommend over the other steak house not far from here.

First I wanted to start off with parking which is great. Upon entering you felt a tad tense in the environment but other than that the atmosphere was awesome. I loved all the art work on the wall, the music right on point. Although I didn't try the steak or fish, I enjoyed the food. I loved my server David. He was very genuine and funny. I was very pleased with the service. I can see myself going back next time for the steak.

service is slow. i guess they're new but still. not a good first impression. i should probably just stop expecting more from chain restaurants since ive worked in a few and know almost all of them just rip open frozen stuff and lay em on the grill or fryer but anyway the quality of the food sucked. the filet tasted like a sirloin and it was not worth any of my money. totally had higher expectations since its the only long horn around the area by quite a few miles but not impressed at all. the service did not merely make up for the low quality food. everything about it was like dining at applebees.

This is the first time we've eaten at Longhorn at this location. The past few times we've come here, the wait was too long-didn't want to be wait listed for an hour and a half. Today we stopped by early, no wait, and the meal was excellent. The calamari was tender and well seasoned, and the sweet dipping sauce was tasty. My Flo's Filet was tender and well seasoned, veggies crisp yet tender. The garden salad was good, just wish there were more low cal dressing options available, other than raspberry vinaigrette. Service was friendly, quick and attentive. Loved the paintings in the dining area!

This is a nice, new, clean, and swanky location for this franchise. The restaurant is deceptively large and they had a pretty good and vibrant weekday evening dinner crowd, though the parking lot layout that surrounds the place on three sides makes it look like there aren't that many people there. Prices are very reasonable here, and quality and service were good (particularly good on the service). I'm saying that even knowing that we had to return the wife's 10 oz NY strip as it was overdone relative to the requested medium. Normally, we don't make much of a fuss, but this was even questionable for the wife (not a complainer, on this subject anyway) and the server confirmed for us ("yeah, that's not medium at all"), and got the ball rolling and made it easy for us. In the meantime, we started with their Longhorn sampler ($10.99) - a nice starter with their Wild West breaded shrimp, cheese stuffed mushrooms, and chicken wraps. I ordered their 8 oz prime rib ($17.49), medium, and it was quite fine. The salads that came with the entrees were nice and refreshingly cold, as were the serving bowls. In the end, manager comp'ed the NY strip ($19.99) as the timing of the return meal became a bit off, and that was a nice touch from them to handle the situation thusly, though timing really didn't bother us greatly.

We have been here twice now. The first time was shortly after they opened and at that point I would have given it 3 stars. Our visit last night was much improved. The food was good and the service was top notch. There was a little glitch in part of my order (soup) and not only did they immediately correct it , but they compled me for it. It was a small thing, but it is something that will keep us coming back. The place has a "Western" feel, but it is classy and not over the top like some other LongHorns we have been to. The portions are large and tasty, the service is friendly. What's not to like?

When we first walked in the door it took at least 3 minutes before someone acknowledged is standing there. For a Sunday they were crowded and the wait was 30 minutes. While waiting the person comes looking for a party and slaughtered the name, needless to say I don't think they stayed to wait for the 40 minutes. Once seated we placed out drink order. Noticed that a couple who sat down 5 minutes after us had water and bread. And still we wait. Finally we get our margaritas mine strawberry, his regular, she pores his drink in my well decorated ready strawberry glass. Then pours mine in his glass. I'm not thrilled. The appetizer was great we had the Wild West shrimp. For my main course I had the salmon which I did not eat. There is too much waiting. We should have went else where. To think this was our first time dining at a Longhorn. I hope the others are not like this.

Went there at 730 on a Tuesday night and they had a 5 minute wait. We sat at the bar to get a drink and it took all 5 of those minutes to get greeted and get a drink. Sunset cosmo is FANTASTIC though. $5 all day every day. Sat down and we're greeted by our server. Ordered 2 apps (which came out separately). Spin dip isnt worth your time. Not the best. Kettle chips with dios are great though! Second round of drinks took at least 15 minutes to come out. My husband ordered prime rib which was cold. I had a sirloin medium and it was really great. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. We had to ask again for the mushrooms/onions and asparagus we ordered. Spent $75 for 4 drinks 2 apps and 2 entrées which is a pretty good deal but not worth your time for the slow response of kitchen and bar.

I'm not ashamed to admit I love Longhorn and this new location has somehow made my regular order more delicious. I don't know what kind of magic it takes to surpass normal expectations. I can't seem to order anything other than the Flo's filet and the Wild West Shrimp. I won't lay here and compare Longhorn to Joe's Prime Steak. We can compare it to L.Woods down the road and I'd take Longhorn any day! L.Woods is filled with a strange crowd of regulars (it seems) and the best thing I had was dessert. A dessert I wouldn't be in a rush to eat again, at that. Sometimes, you just want a steak that will hit the spot and won't require dressing up or spending too much money. Also, the butter on everything can be so satisfying when you're in the mood for a fattening meal. If you want to get seated as fast as I get seated, call ahead! You can ask for the current wait time and then ask to be added to the wait list. Leave your house at a decent time to make it to the restaurant within the expected wait time.

The Food: Prime Rib Burger and Ribs were really really good. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I got asparagus instead of fries and those things tasted like they had been in a pressure cooker. They were so tender! The ribs were also tender and had a great sauce. Plus the plate was huge. The longhorn sampler was ok. It was too buttery and fried for my liking, but overall good flavor. The staff: I walked in on Friday at 9 30 , was greeted by a friendly host, and was seated right away. The restaurant was pretty packed though for being so late. The servers were very attentive. They cleared out dishes very promptly and came by several times making sure the meal was fine. Our waitress was very nice as well. Can't wait to go back and try more things!

I've been here four times and the filet and t bone steak are outstanding. It comes out exactly as I ordered and had never been overdone. Once I had the ribeye and it was over seasoned but every other time my experience has been outstanding.

After noting that a Longhorn opened up near us a few weeks ago, and keeping an eye on Yelpers reporting on its growing pains, we decided to check it out. Food: After three weeks in business, you'd think the kitchen staff would have settled into a predictable routine? Not yet. Our salads made it to the table before our appetizers, so things were a little confusing to start out. We all got their caesar salad with our entrees, and we all went "meh" -- nothing we couldn't have done at home with a head of romaine and a bottle of dressing. Mixed reviews on the appetizers -- spinach dip was nothing to write home about either, but the pretzel sticks were awesome. I'd come back just to chow on the pretzel sticks and have a beer :-) When steak time comes, here's where we find where Longhorn is coming up short, and that's in consistency in the kitchen. Both my wife and daughter ordered the portabella garlic sirloin done medium-rare -- my wife's steak was closer to medium-well, and the sauce on my daughter's steak was incredibly salty to the point where she just scraped it off the meat. (My wife reported that hers was just fine, though, and she is not terribly tolerant of salty foods.) My steak (also sirloin medium-rare) came in closer to rare, which doesn't disqualify it in my book... but this indicates to me that the cooks, given identical cuts of meat with the same done-ness to be served at the same time, aren't coming up with consistent results. Service: if they're slipping in the kitchen, they're sure not missing anything in the front of the house -- our server Kristina was very personable, knew a lot about the menu (and when to admit she didn't have all the details yet), kept us posted about when we could expect our food (and was a bit surprised when another server brought the salads to our table prematurely), made sure our drinks were topped up, and generally made us feel that she believed that giving us a good meal was her responsibility. To Kristina, thanks so much, and to the management, pay her more :-) And even listening to other servers working nearby tables suggested that this is a common attitude among the Longhorn server contingent. Five stars for the servers, no question. I might wait a couple-three weeks, but I'd certainly consider coming back here -- their service is top-notch and once their kitchen finds its collective mojo, they should be consistently cranking out some excellent steaks and earning another star or two from me.

Really good, i got a To Go order of sirloin steak. Very good, the only down side was the pick up. it was very messy. The server spent 6 mins getting change and bringing out the order. but the food was great

Dusty, the manager was so great. My mother ordered the rib eye but didn't like hat there was a lot of fat so we ask the server if we can order someh tithing else. Dusty came over to our table and was sooo nice and very accommodating. He brought my mom a new dish and told us what the pictures of the steak on the menu explains. So that helps a lot the next time we come back and most definitely we will. Thanks again Dusty!

Can Longhorn for the first time and I am shocked at the quality of the steak! I had medium expectations and have been pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Longhorn ribeye 18oz with a loaded potatoes and fire roasted corn. For my starter, I went with the chicken tortilla soup. I was driving so only had a coke. The food was amazing and the service very attentive. Originally when I was coming here I was concerned that my desire for quality and tasty steak would be met with a dried out skinny piece of meat. Well, that was not the case. The steak and accompaniments were fantastic. I will be back and can't wait to try other menu items. This is a welcome addition to the Lincolnwood area. I usually prefer boutique restaurants and not chains so this is a pleasant surprise for me. Give them a try.

Ate here tonight because my boyfriend prefers it. I prefer Outback. Pros- The waiter was very nice and attentive to us. Beautifully decorated. Love the paintings. Cons- Ordered an appetizer, and it came before our drinks, normally like to have a little buZZ before eating. Drinks were so weak we had to order doubles of margaritas. Appetizer tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp for a bit. Salads were dripping in ranch dressing. He had a ribeye which was so salty you needed a glass of water after one bite. His fries were under cooked and soggy. I had prime rib and it was ok, kind of under seasoned. And I had French onion soup which barely had any soup and way too much Parmesan cheese that it didn't taste right. Not sure if it was an off night for the cooks and bartender or what exactly was up. However for $100 there are many other restaurants I can think of that we could have spent much less at such as Sabor a Cafe, Las Tablas, Outback etc. I can see why the place was empty and Darden went bankrupt. Can't say we'll be back.

I ate here tonight and thought id leave a few comments. First the good: great decor, good menu What turned me sour is That their tbone had zero filet on it, usually there is some. When I spoke to the waiter about it , he said that they always cut it off? I was confused because even their menu said a tbone is supposed have a bit of filet. The manager came over was very nice and confirmed that usually the filet is cut off, but said mine still had some, it didn't. Ok fine , that didn't even get me, I'm still about to eat a nice big steak. Then the waiter comes out doesn't talk to us at all. Doesn't offer us any more drinks, refills, nothing. As I'm chewing a big piece with plenty more to go, he comes and asks me if I want a box? Mouth full, I shake my head no. He then brings the check? Whatever , I just gave him my card , he brings it back and says ok bye in a disdainful tone. Won't be going back here soon. Would've probably spent $20-30 more her on drinks, glad I didn't. Waiter was Edwin and the manager was dusty.

Service - Good and very attentive Music - Played out country music Drink - Sunset Cosmo was no bueno Food - Average at best. French onion soup had a crust of cheese that was at least an inch thick and there was barely any soup at all with the croutons. I got the parm crusted asparagus and didn't realize it was deep fried. It was okay but I don't prefer it that way. My husband and I shared the porterhouse for two. It was the best part of the meal and seasoned very well.

You have to try the crab & artichoke dip! The filet with parmesan crust is to die for! Don't forget about the key lime pie for dessert!! So delicious!

First, everyone has to know that this is NOT fine dining. It is a family restaurant which means that there are crying babies, screaming kids, people having one too many..... Having said that, we called ahead to put our name in and were told the wait would be @ 40 minutes. When we got there, we were told the same thing, but our buzzer went off in less than 20 minutes. We were seated in a comfortable booth and our server was friendly and engaging. I had to send my Caesar salad back because of the old, limp lettuce, but the house salad was excellent...moving on, we both ordered the full slab of ribs which were burnt and inedible. The server told the manager and he said my ribs should NOT have been served and a new slab was served to me (my husband didn't mind that his were burnt.....). I also got a fresh loaded baked potato. By the time, all this went down, I had lost my appetite and took the leftovers home--which we enjoyed tonight. Sign up for their e-club and get a free appetizer...I have already done it. Will be back and perhaps order something different......although, the steaks looked small.....perhaps the couples meal?

I don't know where to start... I came here when they first opened up and it was super packed with long waits etc... Whatevs, they're new and need to get all their ducks in a row. Management gave us free drinks for messing up our order. Second time I came here for my brothers graduation dinner and ordered a table for 8 which was call ahead seating. We came there and waited for 35 minutes to get the seat... We were all getting real "hAngry" at this point and asked of we can split the seats into booths. They quickly say us at the table for 8. They were very professional the entire time and tried to accommodate but it was the principle.. Why do call ahead?? Because we were super upset the manager have us 3 free appetizer plates which I thought was really generous. Finally we ordered food and it literally took a good 40 minutes to bring out the food. Came in at 8pm and after everything was said and done it was 10:40pm.... The wait was horrible, but the managers and servers were so nice that I am split between the actual stars I should give this joint.

Since this place opened recently, they still have a few kinks to work at with the service. We waited a long time for our food, but when it did come, it was good! They have great lunch combos and all of the appetizers look so good!

It was my first time visit to this restaurant. I like the interior design and the welcoming workers. All the waitresses was extremely sweet and smiling all the time . My food came soon as I order it was quick. Me and my son enjoy the meal. Definetly we will come back

First time visit. Found the experience to be average for the chilis-olive garden side of the Darden group of restaurants. Seating was ok. Right in front of bathroom entrance. Quite noisy overall. Didn't realize there was house music until a trip to the bathroom. Why do steak houses (Texas theme or otherwise) feel the need to play country music? Anyhow, the food. Three of us ordered the same entree. Hickory salt crusted NY strip. As much as I like salt, this creation was way too saturated. Combined with the hickory flavor and chargrilled, the taste was more burnt salt and peppercorn and not much natural beef. All three entrees had this overwhelming strong and excessive salted coating. I ended up scraping it off to at least attempt eating my meal. Not sure if we will ever return for another visit. There are so many choices for dining out that this is a big pass for anyone considering. Nothing special here and very typical with the theme/chain restaurant method. Leaving afterwards my wife said we should have had dinner prepared at Mariano's. Which is a local grocery store that can cook your meat selection and have it ready for take out or dine in.

My wife and I are new fans of the LongHorn Steakhouse after two visits. Both times we ordered Flo's Filet with a Lobster Tail, and it has been outstanding. We are especially thrilled that the lobster is so good for a place that specializes in steak. I have also enjoyed their signature appetizer, the Wild West Shrimp. It's a big plate that I haven't been able to finish, but it's definitely better to have more than you need than not enough. One thing they could improve on is providing refills. On both visits I have had to call down our waiter to get another drink. The servers are friendly and otherwise do a good job. I also should mention that the Caesar salad isn't very good. I am not going to bother with that again. I will be going back for their steak, lobster and shrimp!

Honestly, I'm a little surprised at the quality of this restaurant. I will say, I really believe they missed the mark on this restaurant. LWood/Skokie really doesn't have a huge selection of steakhouses, so if they could have provided the area with a decent place to go, I think they would have a huge chance to make it in the long run. Servers/bartenders that work there now: save your money!!! Believe me, it's packed now, but there isn't much to keep people coming back and the quality of people that will be returning will not be paying your bills. They're only coming for a value steak, but here, you get what you pay for. We came here at 3:00 and were seated at 3:30. We ordered two appetizers, the chicken wraps and corn puppies. For a "steakhouse", I thought that the apps would be quality stuff.. instead they tasted along the lines of frozen quality stuff. Next, I ordered the chicken fingers with a baked potato. My friend ordered the shaved prime rib sandwich with no onions. My chicken tenders came and while cutting them, they almost bounced off my plate that's how rubbery they were. My friend's sandwich was the very strange part, it was a hamburger with a small portion of shaved ribeye on top, way too heavy for what she was expecting. She immediately informed the server that this wasn't what she was expecting when she ordered it. The server was simultaneously trying to inform her that, that was what she ordered. My friend then showed her on the menu that the description mentioned nothing about shaved prime rib being on top of a hamburger, just said a large amount of shaved prime rib and what it came with. She then said she would get her what she wanted. It wasn't like she was rude or anything, just maybe quietly disagreed with the idea that the description wasn't clear. Anyways, I then started eating my baked potato, which was good while waiting for her sandwich. When her sandwich did come out, there were onions on it. By this time, it was 5:15 and honestly, she just wanted a box and I wanted out of there too. The server brought our check and just put it down. We looked at the tab and the sandwich was taken off the bill. That was nice considering we didn't ask for that, thanks. We overtipped as a result of that to what the original bill would have been. Weird that a manager didn't come by. Our server mentioned that she would. Really, my friend just wanted to inform them that the description was off on the menu. Either way, probably wouldn't be back. Not with L. woods down the block. That place BLOWS this place out of the water.

Tried when the restaurant 1st open and recently this past week. It was definitely busier on their 1st week. They didn't hit a 5 stars mark because i can see how packed it was to accommodate everyone. Our food was slow but its was so nice of them to gave us a free appetizer. That's good enough for me. Yes, the wait was a little long but the restaurant go out of theirs way to makeup for their mistake. For the price i paid and how nice the host can be, i would still put it high on the list. I thought the host was in their best behavior since it was theirs 1st week. Now I've learned, the staff are great and consistent. It's hard to find a consistent staff that tends to my need and i find this place is exceptional for that. The foods also taste good. You get what you paid for. Except here i get more than what I paid for because the staff do an excellent job. If you want an even better steak then go downtown or some high end restaurant to complain.

I've been there twice, the last time was in May and we had great food, service and ambiance. Not as expensive as you'd think. They just opened - I hope they're not already going downhill.

Came in last night( 03/12/15 ) at around 9pm and decided to sit at the bar since we only wanted to have dessert . The (male)bartender was extremely rude and addressed me as "bro". My girlfriend and I decided to order the molten lava cake. It was cold and hard as a rock with NO molten center. I didn't want to make a fuss so I asked for the bill and politely left. It was such a horrible experience . NEVER COMING BACK "BRO".

First time visiting on a Saturday at 4:30pm. The place was not busy at all yet a party of 5 had a 20 minute wait. We got to watch a dozen people be seated in an empty restaurant while we waited for the only 5 seater to open up. That was fine had it been worth the wait but the food was so mediocre and service was so slow. Our waiter was fine, he looked busy but for some reason would disappear for long periods of time. I had the prime rib...not bad, not great. The kids hot dog bun kept falling apart but they replaced it. I was hoping for better quality for the price and reputation of the place. I'd compare it to Outback. I don't think I'll be back.

Update The managing partner (Sara) reached out to me and apologized regarding the issues with my dish and the overall dining experience. She sent me a personalized letter with an invitation to come back again. This meant a lot to me as this shows the owner cares and takes initiative to resolve issues. I shall try to find some time to give the restaurant another chance. I've bumped the rating to 3 stars for a neutral rating. ================== Went there on a Friday evening last week and I was not impressed and left disappointed. The service was very slow and waited what seemed like 40 min. for our food to arrive. During the wait, we asked the server to refill our drinks several times. We shouldn't have to ask every time. My group each ordered a steak dinner, that comes with a side and salad. The salad came very late and the server said that she went ahead and prepared the salad herself. Not sure if they were understaffed or something. When the food finally came, my sister's and dad's sides were mixed up, but not a big deal...we went ahead and switch the potatoes. The biggest issue for me is that my dish came with melted plastic lid underneath the red rock shrimp. I didn't notice at first when I started my meal. After I informed the server, the manager showed up and apologize. She offered to get another order made, but I declined. I told her that I did not want to wait another 35+ min. for another meal. I'm disappointed that the meal item was not taken off, nor was I offered another option (discount on the item, free dessert, etc.). I understand mistakes happen, but to not offer another option showed they didn't care much. Thankfully, I didn't get sick from this meal. I had such high expectations for this restaurant, but instead I left with questions about their service and food preparation. I hope this is an isolated incident and have taken measures to make sure food is not contaminated. Note: I've included pics on the original pic I took and the other one shows where the melted plastic lid was found. Dropbox links with pics (see below): Original pic after the meal arrived: dropbox.com/s/87xjhvp76o… Pic to indicate the melted lid: dropbox.com/s/rt1kd41xol…

This place gets 2 stars and the only reason it gets 2 is because our waitress Cindy was awesome. We were here at 5pm Sunday 3/29....so hopefully the general manager will recognize her for her customer service skills. However the food was absolutely disappointing. We got stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer that tasted like they were cooked a while ago and zapped it in the microwave for maybe 10 seconds to make it luke warm. Cindy immediately got us a fresh batch and they tasted way better. Then my steak came out which was also luke warm and the mashed potatoes were cold. We decided not to say anything about it and just pay and go. Longhorn, you just lost a customer that lives in the neighborhood and the manager of the joint should hire better cooks. Usually when you are new to the neighborhood your food should be on point.

This place is new it's really nice in and out , like that's it's close by the mall the location works well , they are doing a lot to improve the area and this is exactly what they needed a place like this. We came here on a Wednesday night , and we had not been here before so it's always nice to try out a new place. We sat down and the waiter named Gary was our host for the night , he was great this guy was on point , was suggesting drinks , food , different things he's had , the chefs like so that's definitely a plus , you kind of get a feel for what you want to get. Overall great experience.

Twangy Western music. Narrow beer choices. Over-generous use of pepper on steak. Medium steak order was cooked medium-well. Salad had grated cheese and overkill on croutons. Won't be back.

Went here for a late lunch with my fiancé, sister, & parents today. The service was excellent and the food was delicious and decently priced. Our server Freddy was very attentive with refilling our beverages and clearing the dishes as we finished each of our courses. As we were waiting for the server to come back so we could ask for our check my dad started to have a TIA (mini stroke). My sister went up front to the hostess to ask them to call an ambulance. The manager Rebecca came over to see if she could help in any way & asked some of the other servers that congregated at our table to get warm & cold towels and ice water for my dad. Another server Bijan came over and jumped in the booth & checked to see if my dad was breathing & to make sure he was okay. Rebecca made sure we were okay as we left to take my dad home since he was totally coherent after the paramedics had came & checked his vitals. Afterwards she called me back to see how my dad was doing/feeling. Everyone at the restaurant went way above & beyond and handle our medical situation professionally and kept us all at ease.

Haven't been so satisfied with a restaurant in a long time now! This place is GREAT! I'm not sure if it's because they just opened or because it's an awesome place but I had no complaints. The wait was short, 30 mins, on a FRIDAY night. The service was EXCELLENT... I ordered the Red Rock Shrimp and had specific requests for my order which were all taken care of. Portions were great and so was the food. I never go out for steak, it's never cooked right. Here it was AMAZING. I'd recommend this place over and over and over again.

My first time here with my girlfriend was fantastic. Great service and server. Our second time however was awful. We got there and requested a booth. The hostess was nice enough to find a booth and have someone take us there. We sat there and decided what to order for about 5 to 10 minutes. We saw that it was busy so we waited a couple more minutes. Still nothing or no one came by to say hi or offer us water or anything. Finally we decided to just leave and go somewhere else. The hostess even had the nerve to ask us how our dinner was. We came in sat down for at least 20 minutes when we decided to leave. So congratulations Longhorn. You lost my business forever. I'm writing this review while sitting in an evem better steakhouse, Outback, currently waiting for my food.

The service was awful. My drink sat empty until I had to ask for a refill. The Renegade steak and shrimp was way too salty, I couldn't eat much of it. I never noticed the waitress left the bill on the edge of the table. She came to the table asking if the check was ready. I asked my friends if anyone needed anything else, coffee or dessert. We were never asked, just check left and she walked away. Awful first impression, I hope that wasn't how she was trained.

Ok so I'm glad I decided to give longhorn another try. I first went to one on Harlem and had worst dining experience ever. however seeing that new location is close to home decided to give it another try.Went on Sunday nite after work with my Hubby. It was packed! However the hostess was super pleasant and put us at ease. We had to squeeze into bar to get a drink and the bartender, think her name was Danielle, was so nice we decided to stay there to eat and watch basketball game. Appetizer and bread out promptly. We ordered a porterhouse for 2. It took forever. However considering it was packed, what can we do. We are patient enough people. The steak was alright, not the best we ever had,but for a chain restaurant it was decent. I feel awful that people are giving it such bad reviews especially considering it's a new location and it does take time sometimes to get it just right. Alot of these reviews seen like they are from people who want a fine dining experience on a budget. For that get down with a groupon and take ur picky butts downtown, not go to a CHAIN restaurant. it is sad to hear that the hostess is being paid less than $5. Sad,do they even earn tips?

This restaurant just opened on Monday. There were 5 of us and a baby and they gave us a really nice big table. 3 of us ordered the flat iron steak dinner, 1 got the upgraded sirloin and my daughter in law got the hamburger, pecan strawberry salad lunch. They were trying so hard but I the $2.99 additional salad pretty much sucked even though the waitress brought us the 4 salad dressings we requested. The lettuce was wilted and the salad was so small. They were so skimpy on the butter with the bread. We waited and waited for our food after that. When we got our steaks, they were lukewarm so they were kind of greasy. Not sure I will go back anytime soon.
