Chipotle has stayed pretty consistent through out time, I can't complain. I usually get a good hankering for that mix of meat, delicious rice and pulled pork they make. Not to mention the awesome hot sauce they have. It rips a hole in my stomach lining, but its oh so good. Oh and dont forget to add a little chipotle style tabasco to it too. I usually go for the carnitas bowl, but today i went with the classic burrito. I had to go extra meat because theyre starting to skimp on the meat. oh well.... you still walk out paying a ton of cash for a simple burrito.. but its tastey and its not everyday. Im glad I was able to be gluttonous today. Had the chips and guac as a side... perfect meal. this particular location attracts a lot of teenagers, its expected given its location. Any place with waves of teenagers gets a bit annoying.. but it was fine. I probably wont be sitting in the majority of the visits. Until next time!

Yes there is always a line, but when it comes to eating healthy this is about the only place to go. And that's why its so busy. All the toxic chemicals in regular restaurant food make my stomach turn but Chipotle is my go to place when at home or when I travel. I can not wait until more restaurants start serving real food again.

I love chipotle I give this location 4 stars because the workers are extra slow. The longest I stayed in a chipotle is maybe 5minutes I was in here 15minutes the line was at the door.

I LOVE CHIPOTLE. This location is right by my work and I frequent it quite a lot. Sure, sometimes the line it almost out the door but the employees work so fast that the line generally goes pretty quickly. The manager there is super nice and the workers all seem really friendly. I love this location and of course, I love chipotle. YUM!

Been here a few times for lunch. Just like the others. Consistent food quality, which is the best thing about Chipotle locations. Only complaint is that they need to be more consistent with the portions. Some locations serve a very hefty amount, which I never complain about, but others seem to want to skimp on the product, which makes me feel awkward when I have to ask for them to be a bit less stingy. Overall, I really enjoy their food and it's a great after workout meal.

Listen here, and listen good. I loves me some Chipotle. I kid you not. That being said, I cannot, in good conscience, give this particular location a good rating. I've been here several times, all at various hours of the day, and without fail, there is an insane line, it's poorly staffed, and no one on staff is friendly or helpful. They seemingly wait UNTIL they have run out of things before beginning the process of making more. Do not go to this location if you need to be anywhere else in a timely fashion. You'll leave bitter and crunched for time.

How can you go wrong with chipotle? It's not great but the price is right and it's convenient. Fast food for the somewhat-health-conscious generation. What more can I say?

I Love Chipotle!!! There is nothing better then a Steak Burrito with all the fixings. So last week I had this craving for one of those delicious Burritos. So I drove to the closest one to me which is the one on Touhy. At first it was business as usual but the employee that was putting my burrito together was chattin' it up with another fellow employee and messed up my order. Now I am not one to flip out with such minor matters so I just pointed it out and had the employee make me another one. You are not going to believe it! The chattin' starts up again. This time I get a bit upset and REALLY pointed it out to the employee that it was more important to get customer's order right then to find out who was cheating on whom. I know what you are thinking, how could you give this situation 5 Stars.... Well the manager was in the back and heard what was going on. The manager did not only comp me and my friend's meal but gave me a couple of free burrito cards which I could use at any Chipotle location.

In my eyes, most Chipotles are created equal. It is going to be the same old assembly line set up with the same old options available for you to order. I really do enjoy Chipotle and if I have to rate their overall food it would be a solid four star rating. So you may be asking why i am giving this place five stars. Well take it easy because i am about to tell you why. it was something very simple as a matter of fact. I went at an off peak hour so there was a minimal staff working. One guy made my entire steak fajita burrito. As he was wrapping it, he tore a very small corner of my tortilla. This in my mind was really no big deal at all. He was going to remake my entire burrito because of this small tear. this may have been a really small gesture but in my eyes, it was going above and beyond the call of duty. I told him it was no big deal to me

I love chipotle but this one was very stingy on portion size asked for extra meat and compared to the chipotle I go to near my home this places double meat looked like a single.... Paid 10 dollars for a snack disappointed. Never coming back to this location

I freaking love this place! If I could eat here everyday I honestly would.. Love the fact that u can put as much hot sauce and goodies as you want on your burrito or burrito bowl. I also absolutely love the fact that they offer the green tabasco sauces!

So I'm a long time Chipotle supporter and love their food. However, today was the first time my favorite burrito joint let me down. I have been coming to this location for a few years but admit that I haven't been here for a few months. Today was a special day in particular because it was my daughter's first chipotle experience. I have been hyping up the size of their massive burritos all week and my daughter has been chomping at the bits to get her shot at their infamous burrito. Then comes the massive disappointment, we ordered two burritos and a burrito bowl to find that each burrito was made with drastically less rice, meat, and toppings than the norm. I saw that this was also consistent with the burritos made for other customers and now I am wondering if there was a management change that initiated this unfortunate change. We left Chipotle still craving more food and we ended up going down the street to get ice cream.

Not authentic Mexican food, but I LOVE Chipotle! It's pretty bad that I can eat this almost everyday lol; but I don't, I try to limit myself. (Over 1000 calories for a burrito depending on what you get) I don't like getting a burrito just because I have strange habits and can't eat using my bare hands - so I get the burrito bol or salad (the difference is that the salad just had bigger pieces of lettuce and you get a salad dressing with it - depending on the location they charge like 50cents extra for a salad). This location is great. The staff is pretty cool and the place is big and kept fairly clean, but sometimes it is hard to find a seat and the lines can get long. (Especially on free burrito days!!! Like Halloween, dress up in foil and get a free burrito) Don't have to worry about parking because there's a lot in the plaza. There are plenty of other places nearby since it's Village Crossing.

Good, fresh food, fast service and low prices make this a great place to stop when I'm out and about but don't feel like sitting and having a long meal. It's so tucked in the corner at Village Crossing, that after years of driving past it, I only knew it existed after my brother told me about it. It always seems pretty packed so I'm guessing not everyone was as oblivious as I was.

When I started working across the street, I dropped in my business card and won 10 free lunches. This location is pretty close to my house, too and everytime I've went there they've gotten my order right and been fast. My biggest complaint is the Guac was nasty, stringy and gross once-but after I complained I got a free meal- that or the crazy parking/drivers in that loop...be careful!

I was grabbing a bite to eat before i had to work around 4:50ish and it was probably the worst and rudest experience I've had at Chipotle. To start, as i walked in two employees were talking and when they noticed i was there, they rolled their eyes and continued with their conversation. After a few minutes someone finally took my order. As i was getting ready to check out, the cashier and another employee were talking and the cashier almost seemed annoyed when i asked for chips and a drink. Usually the employees at any chipotle are so nice and greet you when you walk in but these people were just rude. Seriously, people with college degrees struggle to find a job and we have people who care less when they have one. It's so sad...

When Chipotle first opened many years ago, I remember how absolutely amazing and delicious it was. Slowly, it started loosing its flair to the point where no matter which location I went to, the food was tasteless and the ingredients were not fresh. After having lunch several times in the Skokie location, I have to say it's one of the best Chipotle meals I've ever had. The meat is perfectly cooked, not too soft or hard and with the exact amount of flavor needed in meat. The rest of the ingredients are very fresh, specifically the guacamole. They seem to be very consistent in the food portions, never piling on too much or too little. Yes, the lines are long, but that's to be expected at any location, especially during busy lunch hours. When ordering food for the office, they have an excellent ordering system through a form that you send back to them, and so far, no mistakes have been made. I'm glad I don't work too far because I would literally drive to this location when I'm craving Chipotle, no matter how far it would have to be!

ordered quesadilla with steak and the meat felt and tasted like it was 1/2 actual meat the other 1/2 fat... grossed out i tossed it not doing that again from this place.

I have to say that I was pretty disappointed with this Chipotle. i tried to order with this one worker and she stood and gave me a blank stare. I wanted some fajita veggies on my burrito bowl and they were out and instead of saying they will be out in a moment she just passed it down the line... Also the chips were stale didn't seem fresh at all.

I'm only writing this review because of the stank attitude I received from KAREN who I think may be a supervisor/manager. I ordered a salad with only chicken and cheese. I got to the end and the guy said, "salad". Karen says, "ok $7.50". I told her I only have three ingredients. She proceeds to ask me what three ingredients I have. I told her lettuce, chicken n cheese. She immediately gets an attitude, sucks her teeth n says, "$5.23". Not really sure what pissed her off. My guess is that it's because I knew what I was talking about and wasn't going to let her rip me off. Not everyone knows this, but if you order anything with less than four ingredients, they're supposed to ring it up as a kids meal, so you get $2 bucks off. Don't believe me? Google it. Other than KAREN'S stank attitude, the food is great! Will continue to go back. Hector, the other super/manager is always welcoming. Maybe he can rub off some of his niceness and great customer service on that hepher. Would be five stars but KAREN is to blame for three.

We came at lunch time and the line was to the door. You may think this would result in a lower rating but the staff prepared the food so quickly we were at the register in at least five minutes. I ordered the chicken bowl and it was amazing! Even with the staff so busy, the bowl was heaven in my mouth. Don't let the lunch lines scare you and enjoy!

Chipotle, chipotle, chipotle.....what more can you say? Excellent concept, extremely great food, and what you expect-type service.....sometimes....what's so difficult about asking me what I want when I step up to the line, preparing the base of my meal (burrito, burrito bowl, or soft/hard tacos), and then sending it down the line to be filled, dressed, then paid for? Sounds simple enough, doesn't it? Well to most it does, but the Chipotle in Skokie on Touhy seems to make it more of a 4 person relay, taking fast food to another level....I mean, as soon as I place my order on the front end - I'm cordially rushed through the process and only able to remember the fact that I just spent $8 on a meal that was carelessly put together. I should also mention that I'm probably going to need assistance from a bib and a dry cleaner. What's the friggin rush? To add insult to injury, if anyone has ever noticed, the lady(ies) that fill the meats and beans always seem to shade you on it....I've seen them pour filling, then pull some back or act like their doing you a favor by letting another 2-3 pieces of meat fall into your meal. Come on!!! If you want to portion out fillings, get a portioning spoon! However, having worked in the hospitality industry years ago, I remember seeing banquet servers and buffet attendants clear out the food spread early, just so they can bring it into the back of the house for everyone to eat the "untouched" food. Sounds pretty shady, doesn't it? Well I think that's the case here too. The workers make all of this food, in hopes of saving a little to pinch back and then take home at the end of the night....I know, Mike, you're a asshole. Hey, I'm not stupid....I've caught on to the scam. Ever been to Golf Mill around closing time and the Auntie Anne's display is filled with pretzels? You don't here anyone yelling out two for one do you? Nope, same thing. Produce more, take home more....not a science, speculation, but just the plain ugly truth. To me it's a form of scumbagism. You work , you can pay for food. Do you really have to take food from work home? Otherwise, if they want to cut on expenses, how about downsizing the friggin line operation and getting some people to multitask in there? I swear, whenever I go to a Chipotle, there are 4 people on the line, 3-4 in the back, and another person wiping down tables. Let's get real here. At the end of the day, I chose not to go to this Chipotle because I just don't think it's about customer service over there. It's not that I expect warm towels at the end of my meal, but if my main focus in line is to catch the last person assembling my burrito to tell them to mix up the concoction - so that my first bite isn't a mouthful of rice, then I don't think I'm the one who needs help. Clearly the local Chipotle doesn't need additional help because they employ enough people under one roof to answer the age old question, "how many people does it take to make a burrito??"......

Very good food. I recommend the steak burrito with everything. For people that do not like the messiness of a burrito, the burrito bol (taco salad) is perfect. Dinner and chips for 2 is under $15.

  • Shoron L.

They were definitely short staffed this Tuesday evening at dinner time with just 2 people making the burritos, 2 on register, 2 in the kitchen, and one floater. They definitely had their "ace's in their places" as chipotle says and the people assembling the burritos were quick if a bit messy, but with only two people it took forever to push out the burritos. From in the door to the register it took them 21 minutes. Other than the speed, it was another wonderful branch. It was clean and service was mostly friendly

I don't know what happened to this location, as it used to be my go to. It's going completely down hill. The staff looks miserable and is completely rude, not to mention how slow they move things along. I'm not one to write reviews, but felt compelled to do so because of such an awful experience I had there. They really need to access how they treat their customers, especially loyal ones at that. Do yourself a favor and avoid going to this location, you'll be much better off going to another close by location. I think a one star rating is being generous.

  • Naomi L.

There is nothing wrong that i can say about eating at Chipotle. I always get the burrito bowl with a side of guacamole and chips. Chipotle has never steered me or my stomach wrong. This location was very friendly, FAST and clean. At some point i actually despised eating at Chipotle because they always messed my order up with putting too much or not enough ingredients into my burrito. When i finally switched over to the bowl i have been a happy camper. They should have more Chipotle locations in the Chicagoland area.

  • Lisa V.

I come here for the food definitely! But if you're looking for a good service.. That might be hard to find! Especially to the girl with the blonde hair and glasses. One of the rudest server I've ever encounter. Don't bother asking for a little bit of extra meat (even though they're shady with the meat) they're just gonna brush it off as if they didn't hear you. And once they're done packing your food.. They'll tell you later it cost extra. REALLY..?! I'll probably get a better service at Taco Bell. =T

  • William K.

This Chipotle should be the location the Chipotle's with poor Yelp reviews go to learn how its done right. Very consistent food portions, and no complaints if you really want to pile it on, very bright store, someone is always cleaning up after those patrons that either never cleaned up after eating, or were too used to their maid doing it. Plenty of parking, and the employees have a very upbeat vibe.

    (5)
  • Sam D.

I go out of my way to come here. Food is always excellent. Only negative thing is sometimes it is not clean and lines are way too long. Besides that, this chipotle is my favorite!

    (4)
  • Dan D.

I'll just give you my super secret order that will make you smile: Get the "Salad," with the "Carnitas" OR "chicken," get EXTRA rice (make 'em pile it on), nice load of black beans, get EXTRA lettuce tossed on top of it, and a heapful of the mild-tomato salsa (pico de gallo). Oh wait, we're not done yet. Make sure to get one of EACH salsas in a little cup to go. Now you are set. With this order, you get MORE than a burrito, get a whole tasteful of combinations, get your money's worth, and are ready to make people jealous. Now go and make people jealous (just remember who sent ya). :-) Cheers!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
