Wow! What a store for the olive oil and balsamic vinegar lover's such as myself and my wife. They have such a large variety of delicious and unique flavors and you can try them all. They also have many other products such as dip mixes and meat rubs. They are a bit pricey but I believe it's worth paying for the quality. We purchased two bottles of flavored olive oil and two bottles of balsamic vinegar. The 18 year old balsamic vinegar tastes like wine with a little bite! That and the Sicilian Lemon Balsamic are my favorites right now but will be back to try and buy other flavors.

I needed a gift stat, with no time to do quality shopping. I ran in this store, and the super nice lady on duty helped me put something cute together in about 3 minutes. The only complaint I have is that the sales lady offered me some samples of olive oil out of a little cup. The idea of drinking oil straight makes me sick to my stomach so I passed on the offer. This is a nice place for gifts, but keep in mind it's not cheap.

I love having a place close by that I can get good quality balsamic vinegars. I LOVE the 12 year and 18 year balsamics. Their flavored balsamics are very yummy also. I just wish they carried a bigger variety!

If you have money and love food, it is cewl to try all the different vinegars and oils. Instead of 300 calories of dressing put some cinnamon pear vinegar on a salad with cranberries or fig balsamic on tomatoes and mozzarella. You get what you pay for and they are good. Expensive, so if you don't have the cash learn how to make 40 varieties of oil yourself.

We went in the other day while we were walking around the streets of woodfield, and I think that the impression I left with was, "I don't get it." I got chastised for not sampling the balsamic vinegar shot. Sorry, I'd prefer to use bread. And as for the olive oil -- most of that can be made by just infusing it at home, at a much better cost. I probably need to be some sort of "real chef" to understand this place but really...I just don't get it.

I give them two stars because the person on duty is usually polite; I've been in several times and each time wanted to give them another chance because they're the closest olive oil place to me... however: *Returning a bottle only saves you .50 *They will not fill any bottle that is not their own *Often the person on duty has limited if any knowledge (still nice though!) *It IS tiny. Super tiny. *Breadlessness is bizarre. Prices are the same as any olive oil specialty place I've been to, oils seem to be about on par but I'm loathe to try many because "drinking it out of the paper cup" as the sign on the door instructs is just... well... not appetizing. I will continue to make the trek back to The Bleu Olive because they are super friendly, knowledgeable, and have a bigger store with more variety and... well, bread.

Yes, it's expensive ($9 for a 5 oz bottle & $12-15 for a 12 oz bottle). Yes, it's small. Yes, they do not serve bread with the samples of olive oils and balsamic vinegars, but hell, I had fun. They've got what looks to be small metal kegs of their oils and vinegars to sample and an eager beaver of a clerk who'd love nothing more than to mix amazing combinations of oils and vinegars for your tasting pleasure. Recommendations thus far: -18 year traditional balsamic vinegar -pomegranate balsamic vinegar -cinnamon pear balsamic vinegar -basil olive oil They'll even throw in a couple of simple recipes for your newly acquired goodies in the bag!

I was kind of excited to come here. I like olive oil and I like flavors. One would think it would be a good combination, but I was sorely mistaken. It's a tiny shop that can fit 3 milling around comforably. There were about 15 Oprah-watching housewife types there, sampling the oils. Yes, I said it. Sampling olive oil out of mini paper cups, like the ones you get ketchup in at Portillo's. No bread? No cracker? Just oil? I wandered around just quickly enough to see they had nothing I was interested in and to get the hell out of there. Needless to say, I won't be returning.
