Horrible chipotle ! I went and they ran out of literally everything ! I has to wait for my food but before that thy served my food and left it out while I waited for my chicken ! By the time it was done it was all cold and they still gave it to me like that after I told them I wanted a new order ! On top of that the cashier was nowhere to be found and when he finally came back he forgot to give me my drink and even started laughing! Never going there again !

Uncooked Rice, dirty floor, uncleared tables, bad attitude, so many things wrong but uncooked rice were deal breaker

I just want to start off by stating that I go to the Rosemont, IL Chipotle at least twice a week. I am vegan, so the Rosemont Chipotle is the only quick option that is a reasonable distance from my work to eat for lunch. I love Chipotle and have been going to this location for years without an issue. Two weeks ago, I went to this location at around 3pm for chips and guacamole and an apple juice. The guy who got my order ready while scooping my guac into the cup asked me "So, you don't know how to mash avocados?" I was taken back by the statement, so I responded "Excuse me?" He said "You don't know how to mash your own avocados, you know make your own guacamole?" He seemed annoyed that he had to work, since this was obiously "down time". He then proceeded to explain that I should just buy myself avocados, onions, etc and make my own guacamole. When he rang me up he said "Woah, that's an expensive lunch. You really should just make your own at home." You know, because me as the customer makes your prices??? And, if he knew anything about organic food, he'd realize that it's actually pretty reasonable. This is the point where I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. I own my own photography company, and if someone asked me to take pictures my response would NEVER be "What, you can't take your own pictures?" I also make vegan cupcakes, When they order I sure wouldn't say "What you can't make your own cupcakes, go to the store, buy your own flour?..." I hate complaining as it isn't in my nature, but the situation and conversation with your employee has led me to not want to eat at this establishment, for a customer that eats at your store twice a week, I felt unwanted and a burden. I've driven out of my way to not eat at this location due to my encounter. For future customers, I understand if your employees are trying to save your customer's money, but it can be said in a non-abrasive way, such as "you know you can make this at home... not "what, you don't know how to mash an avocado?" It was insulting.

This is a good go-to for people who spend a lot of time near ORD. The service is quick, the food is hot and tastes good. Prices fits the product. I have never been dissatisfied. Free parking.

Used the online order and pay system. It sucked! The lady in back making food screwed up the three online orders before me. I could have waited in line and would have eaten sooner. Then to top it off my pork burrito had a huge hunk of fat in it! Almost fifteen years of patronage I finally had a bad experience. Oh well...

Disgusting men's room, filthy, unsanitary. Despite the required sign saying employees must wash their hands there was no soap. Food was typical but will not eat here again.

Way to short staffed. Took over 15 minutes to order food at 2pm on a Wednesday. Not coming back to this location...

An OK place for a work day lunch. I've been here a few times on my lunch hour, and I always think the line moves rather slow. This location seems to be particularly busy, and finding a seat when you dine in during the lunch rush can be challenging. Staff has always been courteous, and to their credit, they do seem to be going as quickly as possible, especially when there's a line out the door.

Dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty!!! Not a single clean place to eat. Every table (and the floors underneath the tables) were disgusting. The gentleman behind the counter seemed OCD about keeping those counters clean, but the tables? Is anyone going to think about the tables?

I would give it a zero but that's not an option. Usually i like going to Chipotle. Until I choked on a piece of plastic that was in my burrito today. I went to speak to the manager and she didn't even have the respect to step outside of the kitchen door. She just poked her head thru while saying oh sorry about that.

My first time eating here & I've been meaning to try it for years, I was on lunch & decided to pop in for a quick bite. I had the chicken burrito bowl. I added grilled veggies, salsa, lettuce, & hot salsa. I also bought the side of guacamole. It was pretty good. Fresh & hot I can say, but nothing else special. The line moved quickly, the workers were ok. I'd go if someone else was going..

Honestly this place is suspect. Dirty as hell and the service was sub par at best. I hate to do this but.... The poor lady making my burrito had no idea how much extra meat was and feared for her life (as a Chipotle employee) if she happened to give me an extra ounce of steak because the two girls next to her apparently did not care for her. Guess she didn't quite fit the mold. That said she did indeed hook me up and God bless her. The girl at the register didn't even look at me or tell me a total, just held out her hand and asked me a couple times if that was all, while babbling about her break to other ppl/manager. *smh That being said, the burrrrito was spot on. Much needed afternoon fix, and much better than I remembered. Haven't had Chipotle in a long while and frankly if I wasn't in need of calories carbs and protein I would probably have opted for ANOTHER coffee instead. See I prefer my Mexican a little less McDonald's-ish and a little more authentic. It is usually 100 times better and less expensive, if that makes any sense. The reason I went 2 stars instead of 3 is because it literally was FILTHY. The patio had like 50 napkins and other various trash bits blowing all over the ground. Employee talks to off duty friend for about 10 minutes, checks her phone, talks to friend again, then empties the trash, talks to friend, goes inside. Just left all the dirty tables and trash. *smh Men's room? Let's just say they should have one of those rooms like in the sci-fi movies, the one that disinfects your entire body after you leave a contaminated area, outside the door. Lol Actually this is EXACTLY what I expected upon entering this fine establishment. Touche'.

I dont know whats up with this place. I work 3 mins down the road so obviously lunch orders are in due order. Every time our company has ordered something has gone wrong. They always claim to never have " received" our order. I am pretty sure the first few times we faxed it that they just threw it away so now we call and make sure they got it. Even when we call and make sure they have received the order, we end up waiting like 25 mins for them to finish up. I understand that your busy but come on..every single time? You cant think of a solution to fix this? Also their ingredients dont seem as fresh and their burritos are a lot smaller than their other locations. I only go here because I have no choice.

It had been pretty close to a decade since the last time I had Chipotle and after recently caving and grabbing a burrito on the run before an event, I can honestly say that I have no regrets about my 10-year hiatus. Chipotle just isn't for me, this location in particular. And this part really has nothing to do with my experience, but I watched those dark cartoon scarecrow Chipotle ads (I'm not even going to link to Chipotle's version because you're smarter than that- this is the better version, watch this instead if you must: youtube.com/watch?v=nYZg… ) and I felt nothing. NOTHING. Your burrito and phony baloney marketing will not break me. A lot of people are puzzled when I tell them that I don't do Chipotle. People kind of act like you're a monster and wonder how it's possible to not like the stuff and I'll tell you exactly how: Just order the tacos, which are somehow f*cking terrible. Before everyone starts messaging me, I already saw the Chipotle Loophole video ( youtube.com/watch?v=J7Ax… ), so now I know if for some reason I'm forced to eat at Chipotle in the future, how to scam more food from this soulless (despite what the scarecrow wants you to think) corporation. I wish I had seen it sooner but that just wasn't the case as I wasn't planning on ever eating here. When I came in, the biggest annoyance I had was that the employees don't seem to be trained very well, as far as customer service goes, and really don't seem to care at all. I think it's inappropriate to assume that everyone who walks in knows the Chipotle drill and is familiar with the concept and options. Having been 10 years out of Chipotle game, a lot had changed around here. How many types of beans are there? You can have more than one salsa? What the f*ck is sofritas? Guacamole is still extra? damn. I was the only customer in line and the girl was def not happily obliged to answer my newbie Qs. I told her it was my first day at Chipotle and I couldn't have been looked at more like I was an extraterrestrial if I were green, had a giant lightbulb shaped head, and an anal probe in my hand. It was really uncanny and I think within the realm of the true millennial spirit to not know or care what it's like to be proud of what you put out and want someone to be excited about trying something you had a hand in for the first time. This was Chipotle's chance to turn a skeptic and they failed with flying colors and at least one incognito eye-roll from the behind the counter staff. In the end I paid over $10 to sit at a dirty table with an attitude-y and just okay veggie burrito that fell apart almost instantly at a Chipotle that does not have hot water in their bathroom -- which I know sounds dumb but is a big deal because you cannot get your hands clean after a big messy burrito without piping hot water. Everyone knows that, Chipotle. Everyone. If I ever come back it'll be for the sole purpose of scamming that burrito bowl loophole thing from the video.

Me and my family are literally eating at this Chipotle right now. I am so furious I can't even eat. We order the same thing every time we come, which is (3) carnitas burrito bowls. Today they put a half a scoop of rice, and a scoop of beans that was so small it seemed like they may have a bean maximum that they cant exceed. Then the carnita meat was all fat. But, one thing remained the same of course, and that was the $30 total. I will never eat Chipotle again, and this was one of my favorite places. But this was one of the most disgusting meals I have had in a long time.

This is without a doubt THE best Chipotle I've ever been too (and trust me, I've been to many...). I don't think they are stingy at all with their food. Their food also taste a little bit better than most of the other Chiptoles I've been too - not sure why, but I definitely love it! It does get very crowded here during lunch time, so try to avoid the 12-1pm time frame if you can.

One star might sound rough but I can't believe this restaurant does not provide Wifi Internet for customers and offers Panda Express as a source for a connection. Funny thing is they're right next to AT&T so can't we use their connection? AT&T wouldn't mind the exposure. The food is up to Chipotle standards and staff are ok usually but I need a Wifi connection so I guess I'll go elsewhere. Enjoy your $75 per month saving I guess...

Someone had dropped chicken in the sofritas (vegan option) and when I noticed, the woman making my burrito started to pick out the chicken chunks with her hands. Um... no thank you. Then I noticed that there was chicken in the larger container of sofritas and she started to spoon them out. I asked if they had a new container they could use but it was going to take too long to heat up. I explained that this was going to be a problem for anyone who was vegant/vegetarian but they didn't seem at all concerned. I wound up with a regular veggie The person rolling my burrito did a terrible job and wound up with two big holes in the middle of the burrito. She asked if I wanted her to re-roll it. I appreciated that she asked, but I was also surprised that she thought she needed to. I thought she might have said, "I'm so sorry, I'm going to re-roll this for you." When I got to the register to pay, I mentioned the sofritas problem to the cashier and then said something about the burrito rolling (which she could see). She said she'd try and remember to tell the manager. I said if you can remember, that would be great. I added that it was disappointing that after these two experiences that they couldn't offer me a drink or even 50% off my burrito. She just smiled and took my credit card. As she handed me my receipt she did hand me a coupon for a free burrito which I do appreciate, but I'm far more likely to give it away that use it myself. Bottom line - I'll never assume that the sofritos are actually vegetarian

There's a similarity between the products and services between Moe's Southwest and Chipotle. Moe's does have hormone free food and even offers the delicious Southwest Sauce, but Chipotle just tastes much better. It's quick serve and inexpensive, but it is by far the best option for food and healthy foods if you're not eating at home. If you're a vegetarian, then you can add guacamole for free!

One of the most stingy Chipotle's ever. The staff seems to ration out every ingredient!

eww. sloppy, messy, inattentive workers, etc. i usually enjoy chipotle and their menu. this one was really messy with lettuce, beans, and all the fixin's all over the counters! the staff kept leaving their stations so that one girl was left alone and we all had to wait for them to come back and finish filling our orders. not sure i'll go back. too bad. i like the food.

Just like any other Chipotle... however the lines do get long during peak lunch times! You could be in line for up to 15 minutes... My co-workers and I often visit this location during our lunch breaks, I must share with you that my co-worker has gotten major food poisoning twice from here before. However, I have not yet had a problem with this location at all, and my co-worker still chooses to eat here despite his bad experiences.

Final update: We gave them that last chance as promised. The veggie burrito bowl was decent (the guac wasn't rotten this time). However, I asked for light on rice and they did not replace that quantity with anything else so I would call it light on everything. We also ordered two steak burrito bowls and the ladies just informed me that they were disgusting.....so much fat on the steak cubes that half had to be tossed again. Well, goodbye Rosemont Chipotle.

There's a Chipotle in Des Plaines/Rosemont. Not that I care for Chipotle, I'd much rather go to Qdoba if we're talking Americanized Mexican. (Hey, that's me in a nutshell!) The seating area is tiny, so don't expect to go there with your office buds. The barbacoa burrito was good, and the spicy salsa was actually spicy! Wish Chipotle would carry spinach burritos, but if wishes were trees the trees would be falling. This review is neither Useful, Funny, or Cool, so do not vote for it, please. Simply a place marker of places to go to lunch when you're stuck punching the clock in Rosemont Plaines...that is all.

Inconsistent at best. Half the time when I order online and go to pick it up at their location, the order is incorrect by an ingredient or two. Why bother with online service if you can't read the ticket when it comes in. I also love the "followup" calls when you order online. The one time I got a call back, I told them how unhappy I was and the man just "OK" and hung up. I was shocked--- why call?? Lastly- my fiance got ill right after eating their chicken burrito two days ago. Thank god I didn't get anything that day. They need to improve their service behaviors if they want to get my business back.

I was in there a week ago ordered a few items, i asked for a salad with the dressing 3 times, I also ordered a quesadilla they charged me for extra meat and i didn't order xtra meat. Small portions of meat if i may add....when i called and spoke to the manager her name is RITA, i explained to her how can i eat my salad without dressing? She said i had to order it LOL well, right then my cell phone went dead, I called back and she was SCREAMING AT ME!! I had to ask RITA to calm down more than 5 times, accusing me of being cheap and wanting my 2.35 back and wanting FREE food? she doesnt like her job and I am acting like a child? I feel discriminated against AND HARASSED, i PLAN ON CALLING MY ATTORNEY. I NOTIFIED THE BBB TODAY, i have a few other complaints and places to contact. AS FOR THEIR FOOD AND SERVICE I WILL take my chances and eat at MCDONALDS!! ORGANIC my BUTT

I love Chipotle - i know it's fast food, but I don't care. It's delish. I know the reviews aren't so great for the location but customer service was just fine for me. Very generous with everything I wanted (not like some other locations), but I think the girl was new so I lucked out. It got a little busy as I came in so they forgot to charge me for guac - yay! But yeah, give it a chance, not all employees are jerks.

I've heard that this is a training restaurant for Chipotle employees & managers, but you would never know. I've ordered at three other Chipotle restaurants & I think the Barbacoa shredded beef is the best at Rosemont. For some reason the Barbacoa's sauce is better and the beef is more tender. Love the food & I'm glad they give you different sauce options for the level of spices (ie. Mild, Med and Hot).

Food: all right. Service: Thumbs down. I've been going to this location for the past two years. It's typically very busy for the lunch hour, which is why I try to skip the lunch rush and go either at 11 or at 2p. I should also preface this with my business, albeit remotely inconsistant (~1 a week), is typically in a gaggle of threes. So today, I stop by the Chase in Dominick's, which ONLY DISPENSES TWENTYS, and get forty bucks. I stop in, get my typical- Steak burrito bowl, pinto beans, sour cream and cheese and a hint of lettuce. Chips and another dashing of regular salsa (pico de guilo) . Well I go to the cashier, and I hand her one of the aforementioned twenties. The take out total is 8.78. I get 1.22 as my change. I count my monies and bring it up to the cashier (LINDA). LINDA says that I handed her a ten, in which is NOT POSSIBLE. We have a back and forth that reminded me of Seinfeld's George Costanza and the diner cashier. The manager steps in asks if there is a problem, and I say that I handed a twenty and got change for a ten. I left in a huff after muttering some choice adult words. I did not ask for them to count the till at the moment. I did not get more people involved. I paid twenty dollars for not even ten dollars worth of service (8.78 to be exact). I will not patronize this establishment. So, when, at the end of the night, when their till is ten dollars more and my wallet is still short ten dollars, I will be in the right, just ten dollars short.

I love this chipotle, they're fast, efficient and overall friendly. It's nice to find one close to home that has a lot of seating, even outdoor seating. The only gripe I have is that it's impossible to get to if there's a concert letting out at the Allstate, so you may want to take a street other than Manheim to get there.

  • Danish K.

I'm a Chipotle regular and at different locations. I think it's one of the best places to eat ever...specially because of their "raised right" standards. This location stands out by far from other locations. This location has the friendliest staff. They are nice, greet you and smile even when it is insanely with them being right next door to Allstate Arena. The portions are always correct. The fajita veggies actually have green peppers and onions, not just green peppers. The meat is always warm, never cold. This is my ideal Chipotle location!

This is one of the best, if not THE best Chipotle I have been to. They are fast!! I come a lot during the lunch rush, and even when the line is to the front door, you are in and out in less than 10 minutes! One time the lady messed up my order, and the manager was standing right there and gave me my lunch for free! Gotta love customer service! Plus, they give me extra cheese! :-)

I don't care who owns it and how unauthentic or "chainy" it is, I love Chipotle. This location is the worst Ive been to, unfortunately. Each and every time, I feel like I am shoved along before I can even have a second to decide between chicken or steak. Also, I don't know if the staff gets a bonus for using the least amount of food per order, but they are unreasonably skimpy on there meat and rice and even LETTUCE (extra lettuce, in my life-book, is more than two pieces). And when I politely ask for a little more of something, you would think I was taking away from a starving kid or something... strange. I am paying quite a bit for this yummy, albeit non-mexican food. I will go to a different location not as stingy, thank you very much. On top of this, be careful if you go with a large group during lunch. Unless you bogart the one big table, you will have to separate and sit in pairs... kind of a downer on lunch-break gossip time.

I love Chipotle! Their food is great and I feel like they are always really generous with their toppings (compared to Subway or any other similar restaurants where if you ask for extra of something they put a tiny amount on the sandwich). I always find that the amount of toppings they put on is perfect but when my boyfriend asks for extra rice, for example, they really load it on. We eat there all the time!

I have been going to this Chipotle for 5 years. I average at least 1 burrito a week. I decided to write a review because over the last 6 months I have found their service to have been the best in my 5 year stretch. Not that the service was ever bad... it just seems to be better lately than in the past. Can't put my finger on it exactly, just been getting good hot ingredients on a nicely stacked burrito every time. Nice Work Mannheim Chipotle!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Our office has ordered 3 times via fax from this establishment for take out. Figured that ordering ahead of time would save us time and the Chipotle staff the headache because they won't be mobbed by a big group like us during lunch time. ALL 3 TIMES WE FAXED OUR ORDERS, THEY GOT OUR ORDERS WRONG! One mistake - I'm ok. Twice - It's getting annoying. Three times - Ok....does the person reading the fax orders know how to read? Yesterday's order during lunch (March 25, 2010) was the last straw. We drove back to get the correct orders. Such an inconvenience. There was another lady there who drove back from her office to get the correct orders as well. I was thinking maybe they did a switcheroo on us. I talked to the manager this time and she did apologize which I appreciate. She promised that it'll never happen again. I hope so but I'm still skeptical. Will update in the future if this happens again.....if we ever go back to this establishment. DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS CHIPOTLE.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
