I just moved out here to Plainfield and I've been trying to find a decent pizza place (and believe me, there is A LOT of pizza places going on). Based on the Yelp reviews I decided to give this place a shot and had a pizza delivered. They said the delivery was going to be an hour to an hour and a half and although I was a bit upset about the long delivery wait, I couldn't be too mad. I think the Blackhawks were playing that day. Anyway, I called to check up on our order an hour later and they said they were making it and it'll be on its way. I was VERY happy about this because at least I knew the pizza would be hot and fresh and it wasn't sitting and waiting on a counter for delivery. It's nice they care about the small details! I ordered their super peroni in their traditional crust. Pizza was pretty delicious and the price wasn't too bad. I'd definitely order from them again.

Love, love, love this pizza!! After moving away from my old go-to pizza delivery place, I was on the hunt for a new favorite. I tried a few places in the area, but had not found quite what I was looking for. This place fit the bill! Great thin crust with an a amazing texture, delicious sauce, and every topping I have tried has been great! Also, the delivery is pretty fast. I've never waited longer than 45 minutes. I definitely recommend this place to any pizza snobs looking for the real deal.

They post prices for pizza combos, but then ring up a cheese pizza & charge for each topping individually (at $1.70 each). I ordered a medium 1/2 Mexican 1/2 Ham & Pineapple - the menu says (both online and on the huge chalk board hanging there) that a medium "specialty pizza" is $15.40. When I get there, she charged me $18.55 for the pizza (plus I ordered wings & got my kiddos a soda while we waited, but this is just about the pizza price so I'm not including that). I asked her about the price difference (it's obviously more about principle than the measly $3.00) & she said "oh that's because we have to ring up the toppings individually...because of our system." To which I replied "that's lame." Our pizza wasn't ready yet so we waited a few minutes, which was just enough time for me to actually get mad about the whole situation. When the order was up, I asked her to speak to the manager. She said "that's me." I told her I was having a problem with the price being changed. First she tried to argue with me & show me a little chart that shows the tax, then we went back & forth a couple of times - at one point she also started to mumble something about "well you also got a half and half" (the other half was 2 toppings...so by that logic, I really should have received 1/2 of the cost of 2 toppings discount. Kidding, but you get it). So I said "come on, you're telling me that the other half, with less toppings should cost me $3 more?" Then she jerked a drawer forcefully open, pulled out $1.85, & chucked it across the counter at me (while she's doing this I said "you know that you have reviews on Yelp exactly about this, claiming that you charge incorrectly, right?" And she sputters "WELL! That guy...was WRONG!" [Me: uh ok] Then she turned around, pinkish-purplish hair & all, & stomped (literally, & loudly) into the kitchen & slammed something down. Then I started laughing & left. But really...shouldn't she have given me $3.15 back?? The worse part is I actually loved the pizza!

I will never go back to this place again and I'd recommend you do the same. I'd been a customer there for a few years, but a couple weeks ago I found (and had to uncomfortably dislodge from my gums) what appeared to be a small needle-like fang in a pizza. Obviously this was not a pleasant experience. I notified Pieroni's the next day and was told they would need to speak to the owner and get back to me, never heard back. I brought the object in the next week to show them, and I was intent on getting my money back for the pizza since we had to throw most of it away for fear of what else we might find. Again they said they'd need to talk to the owner. After several more days go by, I was told it was "probably a thorn from the oregano" and they made it seem like this was totally normal and were unwilling to refund my money (though for a 3rd time I was told they needed to talk to the owner about it and would get back to me the next day, never heard back again!) It frightens me that they consider this "normal" and didn't seem concerned at all about the quality of their product or that it could have caused some real damage, especially if swallowed. I understand that accidents happen, and I'm sure most people have found things in their food occasionally that shouldn't be there, so I'm probably more frustrated with their lack of response or accountability vs. the actual incident itself. I wish you luck if you decide to go here, take a bite at your own risk!

We eat pizza approximately once a week and either the reviewers in the past don't know what GOOD pizza really is or there is an imposter in our midst! This pizza was cold dry and somewhat flavorless. I have had better frozen pizza. It was like getting a slice from a discount mall vender. Sorry to say it but I would not return. I am always open to new pizza purveyors but have to give this one a thumbs DOWN!

Best pizza in Plainfield! I have been a customer for about 5 years and never had any issues. Great place and awesome text specials!

The boy and I were out shopping and we used our trusty yelp app to find a pizza joint, and we landed at Pieroni's. I wasn't expecting too much because the burbs has let me down MAJORLY for pizza. Well Pieroni's proved me WAY wrong. I love when pizza places sell their pie by the slice because from that piece you know if you want to A) Evacuate the premises or B) fall in love. Well B was my pick. I ordered a slice of pepperoni. It was perfection!! The crust was nice and thin, with a nice crispness to it! I wanted to slap my mama, and then go dig up my granny and slap her!! (Sorry granny lol!!) I so wanted another slice, but that would've been pushing it because the slice I ate was big enough! Pieroni's I love you, and will be back in the future. There are tons of pizza places, but they don't do it like this!! #Boom

You know I love there pizza, but I tried to call them 5 times this evening (Plainfield) and kept getting voicemail and I left phone number for a call back and I received no call back. Not sure how you can let that happen so I had to buy from someone else.

I use to love this place however last night will be our last time. I don't know if it was because of buy one get one but the pizza was thrown together like they didn't care. Dry and burnt. Yuck!

One of my favorite pizza places in Plainfield. They use a stone oven instead of running it through a belt or a spinning thingy like most places do. I personally get their "Veggie" special well done and it's delicious. Sauce is sweet and dough/crust is quite good as well. Good selection of appetizers if that's your fancy, and their Italian beef sandwiches? Delicious, highly recommend them. And I don't know about the guy who said they charged for pie cut, but I got it pie cut for a relative and saw no price difference. check 'em out, if anything try one of their slices!

All in all it was pretty good. Delivery was fast, and the pizza arrived hot. The pizza was good, it just wasn't the best I've had. Really no complaints.

Best pizza in Plainfield. It's my Go-To.

The thin crust pizza is great. I must admit thought that we haven't tried any other crusts. The sauce is very good as is the quality of the toppings. We always get a pizza and a side of sausage with sauce. Delivery is pretty quick and the people are nice, but the pizza is expensive and they charge more to have it pie cut. We like the pizza, but we haven't been back since we found out they charged more money to cut it less. The price of the pizza + charge for pie cut + delivery charge, makes it even less of a value.

After trying many pizza places, my husband and I have decided that Pieroni's is the best by far. I have only ordered the thin crust, and it is always crispy. The sauce is flavorful and like the other ingredients, is the perfect amount. Their pizza is consistent. We have yet to get a bad one. If your looking for a new pizza place, I highly recommend Pieroni's. They deliver to Oswego too!

Well, first of all what Pieroni's advertizes as "deep dish pizza" is really 'pan pizza' or 'thick crust pizza'. This is NOT Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza. The crust was thick, more than an inch thick of solid crust topped by some sauce and mozzarella cheese baked on top. The majority of the pizza was dough/crust. The sause tasted good...more sweet than spicy. The large is only 12' round - and when a Cheese/Sausage/Mushroon 12' pan pizza costs over $21, something is not right. The new location is nice, it's new....the kids behind the counter were nice and friendly, but they just didn't know the difference between Pan and Deep Dish. Now, I'm sure that the thin crust pizza here might be pretty good, their business seem to be pretty healthy. In the 10 minutes I waited, there were a number of customers in/out ordering thin crust. So, we may try again, since the location is so close. But, when looking for Deep Dish, we'll go back to Lou's, Nancy, Giordano's, etc.

Pizza is good here. Not Chicago Style so don't review it based on that merit, but what it is, is good. Seems to be priced on the higher side, but the ingredients are very fresh and crust and sauce are better than average.

The thin crust pizza is the best in the area. Don't expect discounts--they're pretty proud of their pies and they seem to charge a lot for extra ingredients. Curiously, the price is never the same for the model I order in the 10 or so times I've been there--I think they have some kids there that don't know how to compute an extra ingredient or the tax correctly. Haven't tried the deep-dish stuff--not into that. You can eat-in if you want--there are about three tables on the side and it's very quiet except for the take-out traffic. Pleasant, no-frills "atmosphere" and good lighting if you want to bring the paper.

We are new to the area and have tried several local pizza places. We have had Pieroni's twice now and I can say without a doubt that it is the best so far. The sauce is a perfect blend of sweet and spicey, they are generous with toppings, and the cheese is plentiful.

I've been to most pizza joints in the area, and this place definitely has the best thin crust. Good crust, sauce, and not too greasy. They also have great wings, which are really hard to find locally.

Pieronis is GREAT! i am a long time fan and have been coming here for many years with my parents and now on my own. all of the employees are super friendly and helpful, including the owner whom ive met several times. he has helped me plan pizzas for birthday parties and always gives a fair, discounted price. they definitely do not charge extra for pie cut, i get it that way all the time and see no extra charge. delivery is not bad either, two dollars for a pretty large coverage area is fine by me. i have also tried all of the crusts and they are all good, just depends on what you like! i love the deep dish, it is different from the traditional "stuffed" pizza but its reallllllllllly good. but the best part is they have alot of variety. not just pizza, but pastas and sandwiches and salads and a bunch of appetizers too! definitely one of the greats around plainfield!

This place has by far the best pizza I have eaten in Illinois. I have tried everything from their original pizza to deep dish to calzones to the pasta salad. Everything is fantastic and the service is great. This place puts Aurelio's to shame and I am from Homewood, Illinois, where the original Aurelio's is located. Pieroni's is AMAZING.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
