Years ago when the shopping center was first built, Hong Kong was not just convenient - they were delicious! At least there's a decent place in Kendall County Plainfield to get Chinese - I've never had a problem with the service for pick up or delivery at this take-out only restaurant. That being said, I'm not going to exclaim that they're the best just because they're the only Chinese delivery in the area. What used to be delicious has, over the years, become just average. The egg rolls are greasy and tasteless; the main dishes, while hot, can be either far too soggy or the meat can be as hard as a rock. Nothing's really cooked properly anymore; it seems that, increasingly, everything is either royally undercooked or overcooked with no middle ground. I sure hope that they're still making everything fresh and not freezing / microwaving, or I will be thoroughly disappointed. It seems that the prices are a little steep here, too. Sure, you get your mountains of steamed white rice and hearty portions with every order, but is it worth the price (especially given the quality)? I've had much higher quality food and spent far less than I would here. Order from here if you're in the area, have a craving for Chinese, but aren't concerned at all about how the food arrives. It's not the worst food on the planet, but there's certainly better.

They're food is okay. They're service is beyond terrible. So far they've given me two orders incorrect. Missing an item once, saying they would credit the soup for the next order, and next time I ordered they didn't. And they got that order wrong. When I called back to try to fix it, the woman told me I was lying about the order being wrong, that they credited the soup (I have the receipt to prove they didn't) and then said "I know it's right and I'm not going to argue with you" and hung up on me. Beyond the worst customer service ever. I will also be making a report to the better business bureau about literally stealing money. Edit: to clarify. I ordered the peppered beef chow fun. I dumped the entire container onto a plate and there were no noodles. When I spoke to the woman, she said I had to dump it all out because the noodles were at the bottom. After repeatedly telling her I did do that and her telling me to look on the bottom, that was when she said she knew she was right and hung up. If you are looking for really good Chinese food, EZ wok is awesome. I've had so many things, from Singapore noodles, (their beef chow fun is great, and has noodles), to sesame chicken and pot stickers. Good food, and you get A LOT for not very expensive.

We were looking for a close place for dinner. The staff was friendly at this pick up or delivery only establishment. The food was ready quickly, everything was delicious! I had the sweet and sour chicken, we also ordered the beef and broccoli, crab rangoon. Will definitely go back.

We don't eat Chinese often, but when we do it's good and conveniently located near us. It's in a prime spot. My only complaint is they never give me the right lomain noodles and I always describe it to them.

We order from here at least twice a month on average and we've never been disappointed. They really pack the fried rice in those containers! My only complaint is that they staple the containers closed, and if you're not careful one of those staples may wind up in your mouth. Outside the risk of a punctured esophagus, the food is great! I highly recommend the sesame chicken!

I really don't like this place. I don't typically give bad reviews but this place deserves it. Their food is terrible. I ordered a lunch special with shrimp in it. Upon eating it,I had to excuse myself and expel it. I won't be going back here ever again.

Love it here! We have tried majority of the chinese/asian restaurants around the area and we keep coming back here. Portion size great.. can split a small order, crab rangoon and eggroll with my husband and still have some leftover for lunch the next day. Always fast service no matter how busy.

I have eaten here once with my family and I REFUSE TO EVER RETURN... The food was over cooked as to hide something and everything was covered in brown mystery gravy. Didnt matter if it was beef or chicken same gravy. It would not have been so bad had I not gotten sick from it.

NASTY. I ordered a dish that was too salty and they told me to bring it back in which I did, but they rinsed off the dish with water and then recooked it instead of starting from scratch. The shrimps were shriveled up from being overcooked and the noodles were super soft and falling apart and the veggies looked all wilted. I even got it back in the original package that was all stained, so I knew something was up right away. Lastly their Crab Rangoon were overfried and didn't even have any crab in them only super slimey cream cheese. I didn't taste or see any crab. Like I said, NASTY FOOD. Don't go here.

We always order from here out of convenience, but their food is pretty good. It's pretty standard for Chinese food, and we've never had any issues with the orders we've placed with Hong Kong.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
