I'm a Joe's regular. After looking for half way decent pizza in suburbia, I was happy to find Joe's. What I like most about Joe's is that everything always tastes fresh and just-made. Occasionally the pizza is a little crispier or the sauce tastes a slightly different than usual, but these are the things that I really like about Joe's. Being an old pizza guy from way back, that tells me they are making their own sauce up daily. It's not just coming out of a #10 can of generically labeled PIZZA SAUCE from Sysco. Their ingredients always seem fresh and they don't skimp. We once received the wrong pizza during a Joe's delivery and ended up eating and enjoying it anyway. If you like good thin crust pizza with excellent ingredients, I highly recommend picking up a pie at Joe's. Note, the Palatine location is pick up or delivery only, there is no sit down.

I had to fast all day for a doctor's appointment and when I was done I decided to stop by Joe's on the way home at 7pm last night. Yesterday was my first time trying the restaurant. I ordered a cheeseburger and small cheese sticks and stood there about 15 minutes waiting for my food. When the lady at the cash register handed me my food I thought it was kinda odd that the bag wasn't hot. I only live 2 minutes away from the restaurant but when I got home I opened the bag right away and the food WASN'T HOT AT ALL! The cheese on the burger wasn't melted and the cheese sticks were firm. The only thing that was kinda hot was the marinara sauce for the cheese sticks. I told my husband about the food and he said to just heat it up in the microwave. I was so pissed off that I told him I shouldn't have to heat it up.... I just got it 2 minutes ago. I gave the food to my husband and went to bed hungry. Last night was the first and the last time I will be going to Joe's Pizzeria!

Hours are a total lie, they close whenever they feel like it basically it's pretty damn annoying. Their pizza is great and their mozz sticks are good but th fact they often close hours before their posted time is so ridiculous that they don't deserve any stars.

Joe's is one of our favorite places to order pizza from. We usually get sausage & garlic or roast beef & hot giardinara. Awesome pizza!

Terrible service! After they messed up on the order and took over an hour to deliver I called to let them know they delivered the wrong pizza . The lady was extremely rude and offered $3.00 off my next order. I said your kidding me right and she starts yelling , telling me her drivers are busy and she is busy. I politely said she needs to take this pizza and deliver the proper one. She continues yelling and I stayed firm with wanting my original order. After 2 hours and 15 minutes from our original order we were able to eat dinner. Pizza was good but I will NOT order from them again. She was above and beyond rude. No class and definitely not customer friendly. Wife or not to the owner it is because of her they lose business.

Ate the pizza once. Never again! I actually counted 16 pieces of sausage on a large pizza. WTF? Not worth the price of a phone call to even order. Too bad. The crust wasn't too bad. That's the best thing I can say.

The thin crust pizza is outstanding!!! It melts in your mouth. The ingredients are fresh and the cheese is awesome (not fake cheese that hardly melts like you get at chain pizza places). We love Joe's and order from there regularly.

IMO.. Joe's serves the BEST thin crust pizza in the Palatine area. The Wheeling location (the original) is slightly better, but they are very close to the same. I've been eating @ Joe's for about 14 years now and can honestly say that they use very high quality ingredients.. They're sausage is great as well as the cheese they use among other ingredients... I also don't ever recall experiencing the issues that others have posted on here either. Their must have been some start up issues with the new palatine location which is common when it comes to trying to implement new restaurant staffs and methods

Terrible location! The woman that answers the phone (one of the wives) is horribly rude. They refuse to make any special accommodations for people with dietary restrictions..they won't even tell you if rib meat is in their chicken. Will NEVER eat at this location. She definetley lost a costumer with her jerky attitude.

I'm not a foodie or even very picky, but I had to stop eating a burger I got there as it was that bad. I will not eat here again.

We are big fans of Joe's in Palatine! We've been ordering from them for years and have always had great food and excellent service. Only once had a delivery guy that seemed a bit strange, but haven't seen him again. Consistently good, crispy thin crust pizza. We would definitely recommend this place to others. Tonight our pizza even arrived in around 30 minutes and it's been pouring down rain all day. An affordable family-owned place.

I have ordered several times from Joe's and have not seemed to have had a problem, except for the lady at this location that is always there. I placed a order on 4/25/13 at 7:59 pm. I asked when is the pizza gonna be ready for pickup, she quoted 30-45 mins. ~28 minutes later my doorbell rang. It was the delivery guy. Confused by the situation I went downstairs met with him and said I was just about to leave to pickup the pizzas. I also told him I don't have any cash to give him and my credit card was in the car. He nicely gave me the pizzas and said please go call into the store when you get up stairs and make the payment with your card. I took the pizza and mozzarella sticks went up stairs and called in. This is where the fun begins... The lady answered the phone and I stated "I thought you said I can pick it up in 30-45 minutes." She replied no, it was delivery and then apologized that there must have been a confusion. I then had to repeat my credit card to her 4 or 5 times for her to get it right in the machine. I then sat down after paying (bad mistake) and ate the mozzarella sticks. Then went and opened up the pizzas to find that half of the cheese has slid off of the pizza and the center of the pizzas were bare. I immediately called her back. Being very polite and nice I told her about the pizza. She then put me on hold to call the driver for about 6 minutes. I then decided to call the Wheeling, IL location and tell the owner about the issue. The owner answered and I stated to him the situation and how my pizza had its cheese slid. He told me that "ya that's your side of the story but when I call over to the location it's a different story", I stated to him I understood that he needed to verify the situation and wouldn't mind holding while he was calling over there. The owner stated that he would hang up with me to call over to the Palatine location to find their side of the story because "it will be a different story than mine". I waited, without eating any of the pizzas for 30 min with no return phone call. I call back over to the Wheeling location and ask for the owner again and told him you stated you were going to call me back and never did and I am waiting to eat my pizzas. He went on to say "Just like I said I would call over and get a different story which I did, you said delivery, then called them and said no I said pick up and gave her your card and tried getting out of the delivery charge" Then I stated to him are you going to replace my pizzas, and waited for a response, instead of responding he hung up. So I called over to the Wheeling location again and stated to him I must have gotten disconnected. He stated that he would not replace my pizzas and "Your just a regular scammer dude!" I stated to him I am not a scammer, if I was such a scammer why would I bother to call in with my card to pay for my food, he skipped around that question. I offered to bring in the pizzas to his location in which his reply was "ya but then how do I know you didn't make the pizza slide on the way over to the location or drop them dude?". I asked for a refund and his rebuttal was "well you ate my mozzarella sticks so you can bring the pizzas and get a refund less the cost of my mozzarella sticks" In which I replied your still going to charge me for those even for the inconvenience? He stated well you ate my food!! I told him fine, I'll be glad to bring him frozen mozzarella sticks out of my freezer cause that's exactly what they are anyways. I told him that I would be glad to post his pictures online of what the pizza looks like and will never order from him or any of his locations again. His response "GROW UP DUDE!!" Look in my profile to see the pictures of the ruined pizza, that I guess I am lying about.

If I was writing this review 2 months ago, I may have given it 4 stars. Now, not so much. My boyfriend and I decided to get Joe's one day about 6 months ago when we had a taste for pizza and I was rebelling against his idea of getting Papa John's. I wanted to support something non-franchised and local, and I drove by Joe's often. We got carry-out, and all was well. The pizza WAS pretty tasty and was consistently no matter what we tried (veggie combos, sausage, or pepperoni). The appetizers were always pretty terrible, though: always flavorless. We've tried EVERY appetizer on their menu (the last being cheese-covered garlic butter bread). Still, I WOULD rate Joe's a "4" until NOW. Here's why: (1) One evening a few months ago we called and placed an order for delivery. Our first. We were told 35 minutes.... well, 35 minutes came and went. Then we called Joe's to see if there was a problem. The girl on the phone told us that our address "didn't exist." HUH? Umm, I live here and I'm certainly calling from my residence... I swear it does. She said that the driver can't find our residence. OK, fine, it's dark, and I can see if someone isn't looking closely at street names, they may get a little confused coming to our condo complex. I then gave her TURN-BY-TURN directions from Joe's to our front door. Another 20 minutes goes by, and then they call US. "The driver can't find your residence." We told her we'd stand outside for the driver. The driver is already sitting in the parking lot...the first words out of his mouth is, "Where the heck is (our building number)?!" I point to where we just exited and say, "Right here..." He says, "Where's the number on the building?" I point to the giant green sign on the building and say, "It's right there on the front of the building." He starts going off a little bit more.... I tell him that I gave the female dispatcher turn-by-turn directions from Joe's. He claims he never got them and exclaims, "I'm going to fire her!" (We kind of chuckled at that later, wondering if he had the authority to do that.... although maybe Joe himself is doing his own delivery drives?) I understand there was some obvious miscommunication on you and your order taker/dispatcher end (twice!), but don't take it out on your customer, dude. Talk about terrible customer service. (2) This past Friday night I didn't want to cook, so we ordered a pizza from Joe's - obviously carry out, since our delivery experience was an utter catastrophe. We ordered a family size pizza with mushrooms, spinach (my boyfriend was being good for Lent), and 1/2 pepperoni (for me, the sinner). It tasted delicious; it really did. I also noticed that the mushrooms were fresh and not from a can - big plus. However, a few hours later I became VIOLENTLY ILL and was up ALL NIGHT sweating and vomiting. The only thing I had eaten since 10:30am was Joe's Pizza, and I have no doubts that my illness came from something on the 1/2 pepperoni side (my boyfriend was fine). Needless to say as tasty as our pizza had been on previous occasions, we will NOT be ordering from Joe's in the future. Quite honestly, I may be avoiding pepperoni pizza altogether from now on.

Still great. Consistent Chicago style thin crust.

Never a problem here or in the Wheeling location. As Chicago as it gets, the pizza and service are great. The wings are a bit different in a good way and a regular appetizer when we order..
