Mediocre is being generous. Had to pay extra for a baked potato as a side and it was room temperature. Sampler platter was disappointing and bland.

Everyone said this is the place to go and they must not get out much. The BBQ chicken was like roasted and not BBQ. If you have to use sauce to make it seem like BBQ something is wrong. Old saying...well don't eat norther BBQ rings true. The rolls were the worst I have had and the only thing worse than them was the service - eating by myself I think I got the new hire who has never waited on a table before.

So I was chatting with my well traveled, well fed, enthusiastic connoisseur of all things smoked and/or bar-b-qued, pal Billy (he reminds me of Billy Carter, may he rest in peace, only he's a bit more refined), and I mentioned that I had some business in Marion, Illinois. Billy did a double take and adopted a very serious visage and said "Dude, you need to get yourself over to 17th street for some rib" (rib is intentionally singular). "I'm tellin you brother, they got the best rib in Southern Illinois." Not one to ever call into question a food, particularly a bar-b-qued food, recommendation from my pal Billy, I concluded my business, found 17th street on my GPS, and got my ass over to the place. It was early afternoon, after the throngs of hungry business folk had come and gone, and I was seated immediately. As I frequently do, I asked my wait person for her menu advice. She indicated, rather vociferously, that the ribs are a must, and they are also known for the brisket. So I ordered the rib, brisket combo. I'm not in the food business, and I've never attempted to feed hundreds of people over the course of several hours, so I don't know all of the tricks. But it appeared to me that 17th Street employs a shortcut of which I'm not terribly fond; it appeared to me that the food had been plated and then warmed under a broiler or salamander. There was burnt sauce on the plate, and the ribs and brisket were dry and a bit tough. The flavor was good, and I enjoyed the sauce, so all was not even close to being lost. I was, however, a bit put off by the preperation method-maybe it was the time of day that prompted the salamander warm-up, I don't know. Anyway, the beans were tasty, and the service was outstanding. All told, a positive experience. And if I have occasion to visit marion again, I will stop and have some rib.

The BBQ here is good. It's just not as good as the original location. I've eaten here twice - once out of necessity (I interviewed here on a day when the original location was closed) and once out of extreme craving (I was too lazy/impatient to drive to the other one). Both times, my thoughts were "I'd rather have gone to the other one." To me, everything is a poor imitation of the original. The ribs aren't quite as good. The sides aren't quite as good. The ambiance and overall feel to the place isn't even in the same class as the original. Inside, it feels more like an Outback Steakhouse than an awesome BBQ joint. It's fine - it'll pass, but you're better off driving to the original location in Murphysboro.

Had the brisket entree with fries and beans and couple beers. The brisket was well cooked and a good portion size. The sauce was ok. Usually BBQ places I go to have a selection of a a few different ones I missed that here. Fries were really good. Waffle style hot crunchy outside squishy in and really well seasoned. Beans were ok. Sweet. I like them smokey with bits of meat. Draft beer standard pretty good selection of bottled beers. Price was great. Meal with 3 beers $24.

What a great place. I was just passing through, and was happy to find a good bar, good food, and good service in such proximity to my hotel. The BBQ, although not blue ribbon, was very good. I don't like mustard based bbq sauce, but this was very good. The pork and brisket was great quality, as were the sides and drinks. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Some of the best BBQ I have ever had! We stopped in here at the recommendation of the concierge of the hotel we stayed at last week while traveling, and I'm so glad we did! I ordered the brisket dinner with the green beans and a baked potato. The green beans were flavored with brisket and were quite spicy, but delicious all the same. The brisket was TENDER and juicy, and the sauce it came with was delectable. All of the sauces are gluten-free, which was a definite plus for me. I only wish I lived closer so we could eat here again!

A little disappointed. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with green beans. The meat was very tender which I love but I'm not big on their sauce. The green beans were ok, just tasted canned. I will stick with Smokey Bones....a chain (I know I know) but my favorite BBQ & great sides to pick from.

Not impressed Price fair but what is the big deal. Food was average Brisket dry and not much taste. Lots of standing around by staff My waiter was excellent. Thank you Andrew!

Our son goes to college at SIU which is how we found this little gem of a BBQ joint in the middle of nowhere. Owner Mike Mills, known as The Legend, in the world of BBQ'ing offers up all the cuts of meat and poultry he has won so many awards for. First time there I ordered the combo plate so I could try a bit of everything and wasn't disappointed. Their Red Beans and Rice were so delicious I purchased 4 quarts to bring home. So if any of you folks in the Chicagoland area who take your kids to Carbondale for school, I highly recommend this place! I'll eat here again.

Very underwhelmed. I've been to the best in know of, Black Dog in Urbana, Bogarts in St Louis, anything in Memphis. This place can't hold a candle to those places. They like to toot their own horn a lot in the restaurant, but i see really no reason to go back.

Thank goodness I'm not a vegetarian!!! This was PETA ... People eating tasty animals! The barbq sauce and dry rub were amazing! I had the stuffed baked pot topped with chicken. Super filing and super good! The hubby has the sampler which had ribs, chicken, brisket, pork, turkey, and sausage. Well worth the $23. Not a bad meat on the plate but the brisket, pork, and chicken were all ah-ma-zing!!! They have a small kids meal too. Topped off the belly w/ the chocolate cake and since we had already consumed a small farm we added ice cream. All in all great place and highly recommend. We were just passing through staying at a nearby hotel and just walked down to the place... But it was sure a great "just happened to walk by it" please. The ONLY reason it's 4 instead of 5 stars is the server could have been a little more friendly... Wasn't rude, but since I thought so highly of the food, the service could have been stepped up a bit (but maybe she was just having a bad day) ;)

This is a southern Illinois legend and among the best barbecue I have eaten anywhere. The sauce is a tangy, smoky but light sauce that does not drown out the tender well-smoked meat. I always go with the pork. All the sides are fantastic.

Stopped for the night in town and saw this place across from hotel. What a find. Absolutely the best BBQ around. Great pulled pork sandwich, awesome coleslaw, and fantastic fries. Everyone very friendly. Plan on stopping there again next time through. Do yourself a favor and stop here. Your taste buds will appreciate it.

Got the Pork BBQ sandwich and it was delicious. Their BBQ sauce is some of the best I've ever had. Also tried a Slab and it was cooked perfectly. When in Marion or anywhere near there, I will be stopping by for some awesome BBQ.

Very nice BBQ and friendly wait staff. In a sea of franchise operations this is a nice island of local ownership.

Went there for my 39th birthday with a party of 16. We called ahead to let them know when we would arrive as to not bombard them. They took my call and supposedly "left a note". We arrived and were forced to wait almost 2 hours for a table after being passed over on several occasions. Once seated nothing improved, service was mediocre at best and seemed annoyed to be there, the food was not even hot and had obviously sat at the pass for several minutes. This was a true disappointment to me. Mike Mills is the KING of BBQ and I was rather disappointed that something associated with Mike Mills could lack the care and quality the Marion locations seems to be lacking.

Think some of these reviews are unreasonably harsh. Very high quality meat. Brisket was superb. Building and space is great. Service could be a bit more excited about what they are doing (hostess and server). I think it would enhance the overall experience. Overall I would go back and recommend

Great wings and BBQ! Excellent beer selection, from their own 17th Street Amber Ale on draft and ever changing craft beer bottle selection. Favorite hangout when I'm in town...

Waaaay overrated in my book.......they say they keep winning these prizes for best sauce, or best ribs, or best BBQ.....I don't get it........very mediocre and for the money, there are better values out there......I just think some people don't know any better and that's why they get such good repeat biz.

I've eaten there twice, both time by myself. I've tried the brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and turkey. The first time I had the brisket, it was superb, moist and flavorful, the second time, it was still the best but not as good. Brisket really has a short shelf life at it's best. The ribs were pretty good. I do not like "fall off the bone," and these weren't. These ribs had some chew but were cooked correctly. The turkey was pretty good. I didn't care much for the pulled pork. The pork was chopped, rather than pulled. It was kind of mushy. None of the food had too much of a smokey flavor and I don't care for their sauce. It is thin and a bit of a strange flavor. The BBQ beans were the best thing on the menu that i had. It is made of several different types of beans and has a great flavor. If they are using the same sauce, it goes very well with the beans. I ate in the bar both times. The first time I had a tall table. They were pretty busy and I didn't get great service. I had to wait to get a drink refill and was generally ignored by the server. I find this to be the case when eating alone much of the time. The second time, I ate at the bar and had superb service. The bartender was busy but he was attentive and friendly. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is generally friendly. I'll probably go back. I hear they have great vinegar slaw.

I grew up down the street from the original and have had many great meals there but have since moved away. I was here a few times in the past week while we were home visiting. First let me disclose that I am a bbq junkie. One night I had the ribs and the pork shoulder. The pork was delicious! It was tender and moist and had a fantastic smoke flavor.. I was super impressed with it. Better than I remembered. The ribs... not so much. Maybe it was an off night.. I dont know.. But they were dry and tough. Decent flavor and a nice smoke ring though. I have always been a fan of the sides at 17th.. I had the potato salad and hushpuppies.. both were good. The hushpuppies were delicious. We also had an appetizer sampler with the toasted ravioli, fried pickles and onion straws. I was disapointed that there were only 2 ravioli on the platter! The pickles were good, just a tad greasy. The other time I was here last week I only had the pork sandwich. It was ok. Still had a great smoke flavor.. but was a bit dry. Im going with 3 stars on this one because of the high standards that any Mike Mills establishment should be held to. I think in the future for any 17th Street cravings I will stick to the original in Murphysboro. I guess there is just something special about it.

New Horseshoe is not good...strawberry shortcake is very good. Potato skins..very good. Pork BBQ salad is good..but a little small

Why has no one reviewed this place yet?? It's not the original location in Murphysboro, IL, but it's still got the highly decorated and award winning BBQ that you crave. This goes for either of their Illinois locations, this BBQ is what keeps me coming back to the area at least 2 times a year, and keeps me ordering their sauce and magic dust from their website...and they now deliver BBQ Nationwide! I honestly feel a bit lucky (and forever biased) that this was one of the first BBQ places I was ever introduced to back in college. I would put their Magic Dust and BBQ sauce on anything, and probably brush my teeth with it if it were socially acceptable. I compare every other BBQ I have in my travels to 17th Street's and have yet to find one comparable. This place is world famous for their ribs, but I gotta be honest...I'm a huge fan of their pulled pork and the Beef Brisket. Best thing I can recommend is to get one of their Blue Ribbon Combo plates and try a bit of everything! Not a bad thing on the menu, right down to the pit baked beans and fried pickles with dipping sauce. Still the best fried pickles I've ever had. Writing this review makes me crave it all even more....guess its about high time I journey back down to So ILL.

Amazing BBQ! They have the best BBQ sauce I have ever had! My husband and I got in late to Marion one night and they were right by the hotel we were staying at. Very friendly staff and even though they were closing they let us get food to go. We also bought some of their Magic Dust to take home and our grilled pork chops taste great with it! Will definitely go back when I visit the area.

Didn't enjoy my ribs or fried pickles. Service was average. Wasn't packed when we were in there for a early dinner so service should not been an issue. Had friends from out of town and didn't recommend this spot to them. Took them further down the road. Want average ribs guess stay in Carbondale and eat at bandanas.... Ribs taste the same. Disappointed in the travel channel recommendation

Advertised best ribs in America. I'm not a rib type person so I had to try. Those ribs were ON!! Great service. Pretty busy too. Remember seeing them on the Travel Channel or something like that.

Everything a BBQ place should be. You cannot lose with the combo and try the brisket.

  • John H.

Nice atmosphere and comfortable seating. The appetizers are the best food on the menu. The BBQ is average. Meat tends to be tough and the sauce is so-so. Ribs are average. There is a good selection of side dishes. This is a good restaurant for fun and conversation over a mediocre BBQ dinner. Prices are fair. It's actually the best BBQ in the area, but when it comes to comparing to real BBQ in Memphis and STL 17th street does not even tip the scale.

I stop in when I pass thru Marion - Best BBQ Chicken ON THE PLANET - Least that's my opinion. Not a BBQ snob but travel a lot, tried plenty and know what I like - Ribs are OK to be honest and I really like the Hot Sausage as much as any I've had. Brisket didn't have the fat or the bark I prefer but again - I'm nuts for the Chicken and; followed up with the mason jar of banana puddin' and washed down by a 22 of local brew, Is my Hog Heaven - Good Collards too.

Ribs and chicken were dry and pulled pork too smoky. I live nearby but have only gone once. It was enough. Had previously had ribs from the Murphysboro location and they were fairly good.

Great meal. We love BBQ, but were worried about the reviews. I had the pulled pork, which was good. Added more sauce from the table & it was much better! Husband's brisket sandwich was awesome. Best I've ever tasted. Kids had rib baskets. Also good. 2 adults & 3 kids. Lunch was only $40. Will come back.

After hearing about 17th Street Barbecue on the Food Network I was excited to check this place out. After reading the reviews from Bon Appetit and The Daily Meal, I couldn't wait to experience a top restaurant in Southern Illinois the next time I visited the area to attend a family reunion. I've now visited the original location in Murphysboro and this location in Marion and I was very disappointed. Maybe the reviews set my expectations too high. I just don't get the hype about this place. I will admit that I am a rib snob and I like to order some of them without sauce just to see how the meat is seasoned and cooked. I expect tender, fall off the bone ribs and that is not what I experienced at 17th Street. Honestly, I much prefer the ribs at the chain restaurant Texas Roadhouse over the ribs I was served at 17th Street. In addition to my disappointment in the ribs, the sides were simply boring and flavorless. The green beans were cold on both visits and the baked beans were fine but nothing special. This place is OK. The food is average in my opinion but I do not understand the raves and 5-star reviews. Apparently I'm not the only one. They opened a 17th Street location near where I live in the St. Louis Metro East area and it did not make it. If you are looking for 5 star food in Marion, check out Thai-D or Miss Emily's Cathouse instead.

Don't go into this place expecting the most amazing BBQ you've had because you will be severely disappointed. That being said, it's still pretty decent. The fresh pork rinds are pretty awesome. The fried pickles would be great but are way too thin. The homemade BBQ sauce is a sweet tangy sauce and is really good. The magic dust is essentially just Lawrys season salt. In general their batter is just too salty and ruined the fried pickles and okra, in my opinion. The brisket was disappointing but i have had some of the best brisket in the world so hard to compare. The Mac n cheese is fucking great! I got the Lotta Bull sandwich which as a whole was disappointing, but it did the trick. From what i heard from the others at the table the potato salad was horrible and tasted like pure mayo. Our server was accommodating, especially since we were in a hurry and did separate checks and all. If i was in the area and craving bbq i would consider going back to try something else but i would not go in with the high hopes that i did. But what do i know, get in there and yelp it out.

Having lived in KC for 2 years, I'm a self-proclaimed BBQ snob. I haven't had any BBQ since moving to Indy and I was hoping for a blissful experience here since it was in IL and somewhat close to BBQ country. I ordered a chef salad topped with smoked turkey. Its quite a large portion which was good .. since I hadn't had breakfast and then drove 4 hours with my colleagues to southern IL. I was famished! We had an appetizer of fried pickles - which came out quickly and piping hot. There wasn't a ton of breading on each pickle.... BUT there was a substantial amount of grease pooled up at the bottom of the dish. The sauce used looked something like Thousand Island - which is always a good combo when it comes to fried pickles. I typically don't eat fried food but when in rome... or in southern IL :P The turkey didn't have much of a wow-factor (didn't have this epic bbq/smokey flavor) and when I topped the salad with the house BBQ sauce, I was left unimpressed. It was pretty so-so ... so I went ahead and just dumped honey mustard dressing over the salad and that turned out pretty well. The healthfulness of the salad was completely negated by the dressing, cheese, croutons, and bacon pieces but oh well. It was tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. I have yet to order a more "standard" menu item (I've been here twice now) so I'll have to get a BBQ sandwich of some sort next time. The prices are good and the portion sizes are large so I'd say anyone would be satisfied after eating here. Since I was with a smaller group I managed sneak in a couple of picks ;) it's a shame that my coworkers aren't Yelpers haha Also I forgot to mention something very important- for those of you who need fish options during lent or you simply prefer fish over meat- you can find something here! My coworker enjoyed his fish very much!

So we stopped here because this chow had been highlighted on many cooking shows and endorsed by some co-workers. Frankly I regret the stop. I think we'll stick to our hometown South Moon BBQ when the Que crave hits. Pulled/chopped pork was tender and lightly smoked. Very under seasoned in my opinion. Needed salt. Too much mustard and vinegar in the sauce for us to appreciate. Ribs were dry and chewy. Not much meat If we hadn't gotten this to go, I would have said something to the staff. We aren't in the area often, but we won't be back.

My husband saw this restaurant on TV and we drove almost 6 hours to try it. - definitely not worth the drive!! The waitress Kristen was fantastic. The drink was watered down, the beef brisket was fatty and greasy and the ribs were not skinned and dry. When we complained to the manager he argued with us and told us that these were award winning ribs. I hate to think of what the competition was like!! Don't believe everything you see on TV!! This was a terrible disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and we will never go back there. I forgot to mention the we paidover $43 dollars for food we couldn't eat!! No discount was given whatsoever.

  • Paul G.

The food itself was standard BBQ. It would not rank near the best I've had, nor among the worst. It is a solid choice right off the highway in Marion compared to the chain restaurants surrounding it.

Had the pork shoulder. Amazing. Also the best fried pork rinds. Would highly recommend this place. Warm, and comfortable atmosphere.

We were so impressed at how delicious the BBQ pork was at 17th St. BBQ, in Illinois! The ribs were meaty, tender and interesting. The pork rinds, served in a huge quantity, were light, delicious and a great surprise. Fabulous! Worth a trip up from Memphis for BBQ lovers.

Given the word of mouth reviews I received of this place before my visit, I was honestly expecting the best BBQ I've ever had. While my brisket did not meet the lofty expectations that my friends had set forth for me, it was still very good BBQ. The baked beans and cole slaw is equally good, but really nothing to write home about. The beer list is okay, with several local brews available in bottles. I did enjoy the atmosphere of this place and it was overall a good experience, it just doesn't make sense how packed it is every day though. It's not THAT good. Honestly I would rather have Triple E, but I've been eating that for years and it is my family's go to for BBQ.

We were on our way to chgo. and decided to stay the night in Marion Il. Hotel suggested 17th St bbq. OMG...the best we ever had..Ribs are a must, of course, but the brisket was excellent, also. The sides, we tried 4, we all exceptional and different. We've had bbq all over the south but never expected to find this quality bbq in Marion..Rates up there with the best I've ever had..

When I first walked in the fabulous smell of smoke- it's the smell you hope every BBQ joint smells like. I got fried pickles as an appetizer a pulled pork sandwich with a side of baked beans. I hate to say it but the fried pickles were my favorite, good spice on the sauce- cut very thin. The beans were sweet, not overly so but they had no smoke no flavor to suggest they came from a BBQ restaurant. Nothing that tied them to the meal. I love pulled pork- it's my go to. This offering had a nice smoke smell and flavor. That's all I can say about the flavor. I added a quarter bottle of the house sauce to try to get some flavor- also because the pork was dry feeling. With every bite I had to drink something to help wash it down. Overall disappointing. The hostess and waitress were both friendly. So much potential here.

My last visit there in early February was the best I ever had there. The pork melted in my mouth, literally. The ribs were very tasty and the brisket was delicious. The baked beans were really good too. Would recommend it and I will be back.

Dearest Melan, Although you were unable to attend my birthday meal this year I wanted to let you know that you definitely did not miss out. As usual we adventured to 17th street for my annual trip around the sun. It was the grandparents, the kids, and me. It was a Friday night, the place was pretty busy, and we were all excited to eat some goooood food. My folks ordered a full-rack and extra potato and salad. I had the brisket . The kids had a burger and bbq chicken. Couple adult bevs and 3 sodas. Total came to ~$75. The food was the worst. I'm not going to mince words here honey. It was a total disappointment. Well, I suppose there may be a small percentage of the general population that appreciates their entire (expensive) meal being cold, we (shockingly) are not part of that select group. 17th street should be more careful to cater to the majority of the populous that (I think) enjoys hot food. The ribs, brisket, potato, green beans, and chicken were cold. Unfortunately I forgot my grill at home so I could heat the food up because apparently theirs is broken. Anyway, I wish you could have been there. At least there would have been one thing hot at the table. Ya baby! Yours Truly, Fritter M.

Ribs were good but everything else was dried out and then thrown hot sauce on it. But I'm from the south and get real BBQ!! No cornbread??

BBQ to me is smoked pork with a tangy, sweet sauce that doesn't overpower the smokiness. We have tried BBQ joints all over the country and for my tastes, this was not among the best. Below average in my opinion. I always order a pulled pork sandwich on the first visit so I can compare. At 12:45 p.m. on a Friday, my pork was mostly a mushy, overcooked mess. Nothing to sink my teeth into. The bun got soggy and fell apart right away. No discernable smoky taste. The sauce was light with little flavor. Definitely did not overpower the meat but just added to the soggy mess. My side was green beans cooked with brisket. There were small chunks of brisket that were not tasty but watery and blah, I guess because it was cooked in canned green beans for a while Even I can make better green beans from the can than this! The food was hot and no complaints about the service.

Food was cold. Had the Champion platter and shared with wife. The whole platter of meat was cold. Not impressed. I believe this place is over rated. On the positive server Amber was ver good and the Mac and Cheese was awesome. Keep trying ok bbq but not famous by no means

I was very excited to visit 17th Street BBQ after I saw they won a Memphis BBQ award. Even though I read some some negative reviews I though we would give it a try. Well, the negative reviews were correct. The food came out not hot, and the table was dirty. As for the famous pickles, they were way too salty! Our waiter was the only bright spot of the trip. My entire family was disappointed because we love our BBQ.

The BBQ didn't blow me away, but the appetizers and sides were so goooood!!! I would skip the BBQ and go for everything else. This location is a lot bigger than the Murphysboro location. This one is more like a restaurant than a bar. My favorites: - Toasted ravioli (crispy and tasty marinara sauce) - homemade chips (perfectly fried and crispy) - Onion straws (not oily at all) - Garlic bread (nicely toasted) - Corn bread (mini cupcake size, nice blend of sweet and savory corn flavor) - Rice pilaf (seriously, the best rice pilaf I've had anywhere) In terms of BBQ, the brisket is okay, the ribs are okay. Everything starts tasting the same after a while. The service was excellent and our waiter made sure that everything was perfect or he took it off the bill.

World quality barbecue. We stop here every time we head back to Michigan from Louisiana as it is about the halfway point. Anyone into BBQ should be familiar with Mile Mills and the book "Peace, Love and Barbeque". Ribs are good but not excellent. Brisket is highly recommended as is the sausage. Warming - the sausage is spicy. My daughter loved the burger withe pimento cheese. The smoked ale was really good as well.

This is probably the best BBQ spot in Marion. Though this does not hold a patch to the original. Still, I did enjoy my lunch. The building is much larger, and more chainy than I would like. A larger general dinning area, with plenty of big booths. The bar area s much bigger as well. I can see this being a great place to hang out before or after a Miner's game. For lunch I had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and backed beans. The pork was good, though I think it is better at Murphysboro. On a plain white bread bun. The slaw is good, with a nice apple sweetness and vinegary kick. The backed beans, like the original, are amazing. I do like this location, but seems just a bit on the chainy/generic side. Still service and food was good. Nothing can ever resemble the original, but they come close here. I would recommend the place if you are in Marion or wanting a good place to visit before a minor league baseball game.

Love pork and BBQ? A MUST stop and eat as you travel through Southern IL (Carbondale exit). (Marion location) Award winning wings. Really. No vinegar taste and lots of meat!!! Brisket is consistently awesome! Pork rinds - a tasty treat. Dry rub ribs -our family favorite! Take some to go! Staff are consistently friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Staff helps support lower carb eating customers with ease and flair. Drinks - top notch and nice pours. You will have missed out on s treasure find if you don't stop in!! And for the carb lovers -- don't forget to try the banana pudding. !!!!

The meat was very good! That said, I was not impressed with the slaw, but hubby loved the beans. I did like the greens even though they were very sweet. I had the pulled pork, hubby and daughter shared the ribs.

Passing through and found BBQ! The pork shoulder sandwich and chow(cole slaw) hit the spot. They offer a full menu and even boast their own magic dust seasoning and sauce. Friendly servers and fast service make this a road food keeper!

In from out of town and stumbled on this world famous BBQ joint! Had the fried pickles for an app, some of the best I've ever had. We shared the full rack of ribs between 3 of us, wouldn't have been enough if we were very hungry. Ordered bread pudding with ice cream, not my favorite. Was really thick. Still good though. Nice joint to find!

Just in a few... The BBQ was fantastic... get the pulled pork or the ribs... tasty! (To say the least) But... skip the cole slaw, I love a great coleslaw and this one was like the bottom of the bottom in a coleslaw world... too much vinegar. (But on a sidebar... the Mac 'n Cheese and the Baked Beans made up for the slaw) But like I said before, the BBQ was worth every cent!

After a long day of hunting and dragging a deer out of the woods, my friend and I were starving. We read yelp reviews and decided to try this place. I had the pulled pork with green beans and baked beans. My friend had the beef brisket/ribs with baked potato and okra. I liked the pulled pork and their sauce. The baked beans were super yummy and green beans were good as well. My friends food was reported to be good, but was cold. Not cool. Had we not been so hungry we would have sent it back. He did enjoy the baked potato and okra. This would have been a 5 star for me, but not when food comes out cold.
