Finally, a place to get decent takeout that delivers! As a native New Yorker, the lack of satisfactory delivery of any sort in the Chicago suburbs is very annoying. We just moved to Glenview a couple months ago and we've been looking for good Chinese food. We got a menu for Chinatown Kitchen last week and decided to order on Friday. We ordered hot & sour soup, veggie pot stickers and mixed dumplings, shrimp moo shu, and General Tso's chicken. With that, we got a free order of crab Rangoon. All that for about $36 with tax, so very affordable. Delivery was fast and the food was very good! I read a review where they mentioned the General Tso's was dry and disappointing, but our order was cooked perfectly! Will definitely order from here again!

If you ever move West of Chicago, you will miss the egg rolls we Chicagoans and our neighbors to the East have. Having lived on the west coast and now in Texas, "egg rolls" in these areas are what we would consider spring rolls which definitely are not the same. Due to this, I really enjoyed the egg rolls from Chinatown Kitchen. This is for delivery so I cannot speak about the restaurant. We ordered their combination fried rice (really good), bok choy in garlic sauce (solid), general tso's chicken (good flavor, but the chicken was really dried out, this was the biggest disappointment), a pork and noodle dish, I have forgotten the name (this was really good) and the chicken and eggplant (this was the best and we were all fighting over the last bites of it). They did forget to bring the steamed rice which was a tad annoying, but they did come back to delivery it. Unfortunately at that time we had pretty much already finished eating. Solid Chinese delivery, not the best, but really good.

Tried this place for the first time today. Wanted to get my elderly mom out of the house for lunch and they advertise "eat in". Just 2 dirty tables and can only imagine what the kitchen looked like, so we reluctantly took it to-go. Food was just ok for a good lunch special price of $5.25-5.75 with fried rice and egg roll. They do deliver but overall unimpressed.

Great egg rolls with average menu items. They have outstanding lunch specials that will fill you up and save you more than Subway! It will be sure to fatten you up, but boy it is tasty. Their egg rolls are top notch and are on par with only Chins in Glencoe.

We tried Chinatown Kitchen for the first time last week. Overall, it was very good. Fresh, well prepared ingredients. General Tso's Chicken, crab Rangoon and Combo Rice - all good. And that means good enough to try again - which we will this weekend. Having said that: STILL haven't found a place in the Northbrook area to really take the place of FONG's which was an institution for YEARS, and closed over a year ago. It was 5-stars, and remains, in our opinion, the basis for all future comparison.

meh pretty much sums it up for me. Its been a while since I've had any food from chinatown kitchen and I remembered why that was. The potstickers from here are usually pretty good but the sauce for them just has an odd taste that doesn't really work for me. The chicken is on teh heavier side as well and there wasn't that much in the crab rangoon. The delivery did come pretty fast, but mostly for me the food is pretty bland and on teh heavier side. I'm not trying to sound like a judge on top chef, but it is what it is.

Combination fried.rice.is awesome,. Fried rice in the combo lunch/dinner, is aright , its different from ordering separately. Eggrolls , sesame chicken, crab Rangoon , curry chicken wings , pork / shrimp egg.foo young are all very good. Lady at front very friendly.

I only tried a spring roll and the steamed pot stickers here. I loved that you could just order 1 spring roll for .99 and it was good. Though I haven't tasted a bad spring roll, the deep fried ones. As for the steamed pot stickers, they reminded me of soup dumplings a bit which I liked. It was so juicy and flavorful inside, I didn't even need to dip it in the sauce they provided. My son enjoyed it as well and he's pretty picky about dumpling fillings. I shall go there again to try the other dishes.

There are some hits and misses. The spring rolls and beef Sarah apps are very good. Egg rolls ok. Pot stickers ok. Moo shu. Is good. Mongolian beef eh. What is fabulous is the create your own meal. It is very fresh and lots of it. I did chicken, bok Choy, broccoli, snow peas and water chestnuts with szechuan sauce. It was very good.
