This has become one of my standards for a quality quick lunch that is not fast food... I've only tried the club sandwich.. I am one that hates to change up what is perfect. Poppyseed house dressing is incredible.... Every employee had always been very kind.. The only downside that I see is that they close before dinner and are sorta hidden in the current location.. Not holding that against them, just hope it doesn't have an impact down the road..

We went here because of the reviews on yelp and were SO disappointed. I was on vacation with my family (son and parents) and we were meeting my aunt for breakfast --- she lives very nearby and had heard good things about this place. Ambiance was fine...typical cafe-type place. I am gluten-free and there weren't a ton of options but that was okay. I ordered an egg and bacon breakfast. It was extremely plain and boring. But the worst was that the sticky buns were touted as THE thing to get...my mom and aunt each had one and they were HARD HARD HARD!!! They were clearly old and no one bothered to tell us. My dad had a cinnamon roll and SAME THING. Perhaps when they are fresh, they are good but it was extremely disappointing.

Great sandwiches and snacks. Chicken salad is good but a little too creamy. Roast beef sandwich was ok but not great. Side salads are excellent with poppy seed dressing. Deserts are fair. Cinnamon roll, peanut butter bar and peanut butter cookie are ok but we won't order it again. Carry out orders are usually right. 2 out of 10 have been missing something. Will still go back

Love the coffee! Wish they had a drive thru! Great food portions for the price and everything seems fresh!

I am in LOVE with Teaspoons Cafe. Seriously, their food is amazing, their staff is amazing, the location is amazing. I've never used their restrooms, but let's just assume those are amazing too! Anytime I am on that side of Edwardsville I stop by for tea and whatever random, insanely delicious pastry item they have out that day. Their full menu is always fresh and delish. I've never left disappointed.

Poor John H.: he was NOT born with a SILVER teaSPOON in his mouth. He's put off by associations he has with certain names, even if unintentional on the part of the namers. Unfortunately for him, he delayed a visit to TC far too long. The first visit took place on one of the rare Saturdays when JH was NOT at the office by 9:00 AM for a two- to eight-hour shift, and Therese H. was NOT working a performance/event/rehearsal of one kind or another. I said, "Let's do what 'somewhat-normal' people do on the weekend: let's go to BREAKFAAAAASST!" Must be somewhat normal, since we saw FIVE people we know during the course of our meal. TC offered a breakfast platter. Nice substitution for Gluten-free Therese: a fruit cup was immediately offered in place of toast. Eggs over medium, just right. Aaaaaannd - Kaldi's Coffee! Very good food, very good coffee, very good service! If I were the owner - though I know nothing about running a successful coffee/breakfast place - I'd try a new spoon name. "Demitasse" would be rather elegant, if you were aiming for that sort of thing. John H. might prefer something a little more versatile, suggesting a variety of options, w/ subtle humor. How about "Espresso & Sporks"?

We were looking for a non-chain place in the area for lunch before our long day ahead. This place got good reviews so we figured why not? We were not disappointed. They do need to change thier logo for those us us older folks who have a hard time reading store front names while driving. We ordered and sat. It was a cold, blustery day and unfortunately the only table left was near the door. THAT is why I can't give it 5 stars. The inclement weather influenced how fast we ate and how comfortable were were while there. Maybe look into putting in a doorway or something? I ordered a Teaspoon Sandwich, my daugter and her friends ordered The Club and a kids Grilled Cheese. We all really enjoyed the food. I though the taste combinations on my Teaspoon were wonderful. The kid who ordered the Grilled Cheese thought it was "really, really good and could eat another." The club was also a hit. I hope they are around for a long time for we will hit them again when we are in Edwardsville!

I love Teaspoons. They have great quiche, but be sure to get there early because it sells out. Their chicken avocado wrap is very good and I love their side salads with the poppyseed dressing. Cinnamon rolls are a must try. Chai latte is a good, aromatic, spiced mix. However their coffee does leave something to be desired.

Food Is good ,service is Good Coffee is good, cinnamon rolls are delish, but your sign you have out side is not visible . Can't see it . You have a contemporary cafe. It's very sleek and nice. But your sign out side , that does not work. If you need a design planned out, you can contact CNP (California Neon Products) out of San Diego. Check them out online

Great place to meet for breakfast or lunch. I LOVE their Moroccan mint tea! If you're there for breakfast, try the breakfast burrito...It's amazing and the green chili sauce is so good. The quiche is always so good and you can't go wrong with their pancakes. If you're there for lunch, the salads are so fresh and the dressings homemade. The homemade soups are always delicious as well.

Love this place! The location is great for me! It's clean! The décor is nice (although the booth seats are a little low and not entirely comfortable). The food is simple, reasonably priced and GOOD! The staff is friendly and attentive. The only down-side is that this place is on the small side and, as it is so great, they are very popular and fill up --in fact, the overflow--with people on the weekends.

Absolutely delicious! Everything I've had here is incredible! Their cinnamon rolls are addicting! Their homemade poppyseed dressing is unbelievable! Don't miss out on this gem!

Great little new brunch spot! Fresh, Fast, Clean, Friendly, Cozy, Chic. The food was fantastic. I ordered the Breakfast Platter - eggs perfectly cooked sunny-side up, thick cut whole grain toast, and amazing seasoned potatoes. My fiance ordered the Breakfast burrito - Large and in-charge with flavorful spicy kick. I love the counter-style service of placing an order at the counter and helping yourself to bottomless cups of Kaldi's coffee. The mix of modern seating is cool, however I could see this place getting packed quick because of the small size. Finding a breakfast place that is non-greasy and clean always seems to be a challenge, which Teaspoons conquered. They also have lunch food, which I'm very excited to try their Salads soon!!

The wait for a black coffee was about 15 to 20 minutes. The benches seat so low compared to the chairs opposite the table my 6'3" husband wanted to ask for a booster seat. When we finally got our food it was just alright. Not worth the drive.

We have enjoyed several lunches here and all were tasty! Friendly staff and quick service was great. The café is kind of out of the way, so I hope they can receive enough following to remain in business. I recommend this restaurant!

Food is great and they have one heck of a selection of tea

Fantastic food and friendly staff. I eat here at least twice a week--sometimes for breakfast and sometimes in the afternoon. Sandwiches and wraps are good as is the soup, but get there early because the soup is often gone by mid afternoon. The tea selection is second to none--the best tea I have ever drunk. And I have sampled a lot of different teas over the past 20 years.

I'm glad Christina liked it so well but I'm not sure I'd put it above BreadCo in quality or price...although it was good. If I could give 3.5 stars I would but I'll have to use my "teacher's privalege" of rounding up since they have a good attitude. When I arrived at noon on a Wednesday, the place was close to full. About 2 dozen customers with only 8 tables. Since I felt guilty taking up a table for myself I sacrificed and sat at the window counter. The service was friendly and the wait was less than 10 minutes for food delivered to my seat on real serviceware (kudos!). The wrap and the salad were good, no real wow-factor for anything original, but definitely done right and extremely fresh. Fresh is good! Even though their signature drink is obviously tea, I didn't order any on this visit but went for the water which was tastefully displayed in a clear jar with lemon slices. 2 pieces of advice to the new place: take time to wipe tables even when you are busy and put some decorations on the walls - they are completely bare and with 25-30' ceilings, there is a lot of "nothing" to look at. But the place does look fresh and new. I'll be back for breakfast and write another review. Oh, one more thing...I'm surprised I beat Edwardsville's prolific Yelp Emeritus - John H. - on reviewing this place!

I have eaten at Teaspoons a few times over the months it has been open and have always enjoyed everything about it - the decor, the service, the food, the prices - everything. I just hadn't taken the time to write a review. Recently, my partner and I hosted a private party in their space and couldn't be happier with how everything worked out. The owners were very helpful with all that we wanted to do. By our choice, we shared the cooking duties with them they were fine with letting us do so. If we host another event there, given the quality tastiness of their food I may be inclined to let them handle everything! If you haven't checked out Teaspoons, you should definitely stop by!

After hours private party: - on the menu items - fresh and delicious - off the menu, specialty dinner - delightful - service - thoughtful and friendly - set up and planning - easy and accommodating - pricing - very reasonable - Service and Kitchen staff Micheal and Chelsea and others - creative support - owners Becky and Shane - priceless.

A friend and I went today, and I really like it. The owner was very friendly, and the selection was very good. I have to drop one star, as the salad I ordered was without the candied pecans, (which they told me before I ordered) but instead of the strawberries listed, I got pineapple. I like pineapple, but wish that they had told me in case I didn't. They have a great looking cinnamon roll and texas cake, so I definitely will be back for breakfast and coffee and dessert.

cute little coffee shop with friendly staff. plenty of food and drink options. unique setting inside. get plenty of food for the price. very clean. and great coffee of course!

This place was simply adorable! I got a bottomless cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich as I was passing through Edwardsville. It was exactly what you'd expect. For locals I could see why this place might be compelling. If you're traveling through Edwardsville you could do much worse than stopping here for a bite and a cuppa.

This is one of my favorite places to "meet up' with old friends. The atmosphere is urban chic and is very comfortable. I love their assortment of teas and enjoy trying new ones at the barista's recommendation. The breakfast burrito is delicious! For lunch, everything I've tried thus far has been delicious and I love that it is truly made from scratch. The soups are delicious as are the salads (with homemade poppy seed dressing) and the wraps. It isn't uncommon for me to meet a friend for tea at breakfast and still be there when the lunch crowd starts coming in. It's just that kind of place....relaxed and comfortable. And the cinnamon rolls are incredible, too!!!!

  • Tina J.

Love that I can stop by for breakfast or lunch and get delicious fresh food served quickly! As well as great service at a reasonable price.. You just can't beat it! I have too many favorites to name them all. Right now I'm obsessing on the Gooey Butter Cake!

  • Chris C.

I didn't realize where we were I just woke up to eat so this is not my normal type place. I can't say it was bad because it was good for what it was but its not my style, I'm a grease and gravy guy and this was fresh and a little healthier. It was good enough I guess but I thought a little high, $30 for three average sandwiches seems high but I would rather pay the same for a chicken fried steak so not really their fault. I guess it didn't hurt me to eat a healthy type meal after the holidays anyway. If you want down home cafe food this is not it, but if all types of tea and fresh vegetables and salads is your style I can't see you not liking this place.

Great place! Their breakfasts are outstanding! Not only do they tailor them to my liking, they always remember my name and how I like it prepared! Thanks Becky and Shane!

I ate here one Saturday while I was doing pet psychic readings next-door at four muddy paws. I had a chicken bacon wrap that was really good and was very surprised when the guy told me it came with a side salad. The food was excellent the side salad was big and it had a lot of stuff in it mixed greens cucumber onion cheese tomato very tasty. I'm only giving it four stars because the building is kind of a big echoey type barn and when you get some people in there that are noisy it's not pleasant. Otherwise it was great the employees were friendly and really nice and I'll be back.

Had a delicious lunch of the seasonal salad and chicken avocado wrap. Really neat selection of teas and coffee. Perfect for a quick, healthy, and yummy lunch break!

Great place for healthy breakfast and lunch. And they don't mind special orders. Family owned, very friendly staff who appreciate their customers. I always look forward to the Tea of the Month.

I am very picky when it comes to food especially breakfast but this palace was awesome! Tried the breakfast platter and the breakfast burrito and both were amazing! The spiced chocolate latte was also very good! Can't wait to come back!

The chicken Caesar salad is delicious! It's pricey for a lunch, but the portion is large.

This place is fantastic. I make it a point to stop by when I'm in the area, whether it's for tea, a sandwich, salad, soup, smoothie, or something sweet from their baked goods selection. I am always impressed with the quality of their food and drinks and the service is always quick and friendly. This is my favorite cafe in the area, hands down!

Not bad but not great. Basic breakfast food you can probably make yourself. Coffee was good but again nothing special. No complaints about the place just not much to make you come back for.

I had the teaspoon sandwich (tomato, mozzarella and pesto) and it was VERY good. The ingredients are high quality, the sandwiches perfectly portioned, and the dressings on the salads are scrumptious. Was very impressed by this place.

This was our first visit and we were pretty hungry. The place is very urban and cute...we loved the window seats and the booths (see photos). We ordered the Breakfast burrito and a scrambled egg quesadilla. Both were VERY good and fresh ingredients. The staff was friendly and they made us some fantastic pumpkin lattes....we'll be back for sure!!

Love this place! Brunch was good, workers were very friendly and the ambiance was nice. Prices are very reasonable as well. This is a great place to meet up with a friend and talk while enjoying bottomless coffee, which is always an added bonus for a coffee lover! I will definitely be returning to try the lunch! I will say that there are not a lot of tables and it can be very busy for breakfast/brunch but it seemed to slow down after breakfast time.

Tea was FANTASTIC. The service was absolutely wonderful. My friend and I had the portabella wrap which was phenomenal. The way the caffe is decorated reflects very well on the atmosphere. For me, I felt as though I was in a caffe in LA, which is nice because this is Illinois...

I took my parents here for lunch, and cannot say that I was impressed. The menu was lacking, the service was just OK, and the seating was awkward. I was especially turned off after discovering that the Greek salad wasn't even served with Greek dressing. To me, that is not a Greek salad at all. I would try this place again if a friend wanted to go, but do not plan on returning of my own accord.

Ok, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it: I enjoy Teaspoons Cafe more than Bread Co in certain aspects. For one, their prices are way better. You can get a huge, delicious sandwich or wrap with a side salad for around $8, or a whole salad. They also have a "pick two" style option for all their sandwiches, salads and soups. The tea selection is HUGE! They do not offer soda here, but you honestly don't miss it with all the different kinds of tea offered. All teas and coffees can be iced or hot also. They also offer fresh baked pastry treats as well. Those very from day to day. The owners are really friendly and you can tell they take pride in serving fresh, good food. Defiantly my new lunch/breakfast place. Oh yeah! They also serve breakfast! Haven't tried it yet, but they have a nice verity of choices. They have a kids menue too!
