I just had an amazing fruit tart from Brevan's. I wish I had time to drive back to buy another right now!
Omg, I had the most amazing pastry here (kouign amann) this morning. Flaky, buttery, sugary crispy goodness... I had never had something so decadently amazing in my life. The place was bright and clean, the owner was very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable, and the coffee hot and never-ending. And that pastry, though! Support this awesome local business- you won't regret it.
OMG, they have been open 14 months today and I don't know what I have been waiting for, but it won't be another 14 months before I'm back! We sampled the Wide Awake, Brendan, Salty Turtle, Nutty Columbian and Macarons. Everything was made to perfection.

Probably my favorite desert bakery in the metro area. First, let me compliment their staff. They are always courteous, helpful, and knowledgable. Secondly, and most importantly, let me talk about the deserts. From cookies to cheesecakes to donuts this place has it all. My favorite being a tie between the chocolate chip cookies and the praline cheesecake. I would go here everyday and try something new if I didn't care about my clothes continuing to fit! Great all around spot.
This bakery has the BEST doughnuts I have eaten in 20+ years! they are big and tasty and have the best glaze! I highly recommend this bakery! (not sure what the $$$$ is about because the goods are larger and better than anything at a grocery store! Visit You will be HAPPY you did!
Dang! This stuff is good. LOVE the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. I also got a cheesecake decorated with the Rose Hulman logo for my graduation celebration. Delicious!!

This has become one of my standards for a quality quick lunch that is not fast food... I've only tried the club sandwich.. I am one that hates to change up what is perfect. Poppyseed house dressing is incredible.... Every employee had always been very kind.. The only downside that I see is that they close before dinner and are sorta hidden in the current location.. Not holding that against them, just hope it doesn't have an impact down the road..
We went here because of the reviews on yelp and were SO disappointed. I was on vacation with my family (son and parents) and we were meeting my aunt for breakfast --- she lives very nearby and had heard good things about this place. Ambiance was fine...typical cafe-type place. I am gluten-free and there weren't a ton of options but that was okay. I ordered an egg and bacon breakfast. It was extremely plain and boring. But the worst was that the sticky buns were touted as THE thing to get...my mom and aunt each had one and they were HARD HARD HARD!!! They were clearly old and no one bothered to tell us. My dad had a cinnamon roll and SAME THING. Perhaps when they are fresh, they are good but it was extremely disappointing.
Great sandwiches and snacks. Chicken salad is good but a little too creamy. Roast beef sandwich was ok but not great. Side salads are excellent with poppy seed dressing. Deserts are fair. Cinnamon roll, peanut butter bar and peanut butter cookie are ok but we won't order it again. Carry out orders are usually right. 2 out of 10 have been missing something. Will still go back

Dewey’s Pizza

112 E Vandalia St
Edwardsville, 62025
Reviews:
We love Dewey's pizza!!! I've never been a fan of STL style pizza, or Chicago deep dish, but Dewey's takes the best of NYC style pizza (the only kind IMHO) and adds incredible combinations. Their seasonal offerings are excellent. Try the Porky Fig pizza and the Harvest Fall salad while they offer it!
Nice looking place, great service, flavorless pizza. When I entered Dewey's, the scenery was nice. It had a nice decor and gave a warm, modern feeling. As I was the first one there, the service was very attentive, and friendly as well. So, the dining experience was nice. As far as the pizza, it was extremely flavorless. I got an 11" pizza with their red sauce with sausage, pepperoni and Canadian bacon. First, let's talk about the toppings. The sausage was small and, well, flavorless. This might be why they call it "sausage" instead of "Italian sausage". The pepperoni was traditional pepperoni, nothing special. The Canadian bacon slices were whole slices. While this seems like a nice concept, the Canadian bacon doesn't exactly cook with the pizza, and almost tastes like it just came out of the package. What is even more confusing is that both the sausage and Canadian bacon topping prices are the exact same, but the sizes of both are quite different, with the sausage being extremely small, unlike the Canadian bacon. So, you get the sense of being served generously and being ripped off at the same time. As far as the sauce, it is just a red sauce that tastes only like tomatoes. There is a total lack of any seasoning, such as oregano, or garlic (though I like heavier garlic). As for the crust, while it is light, the only flavor in it is butter. The pizza itself also had no seasoning whatsoever. Again, some seasoning like oregano would be nice. Therefore, the pizza only tastes like a combination of toppings, tomato sauce and a crust, thus flavorless. I would easily give the pizza "one star", but the atmosphere, management and service was nice, which gives it an overall two-star rating. Still, my bill, with tip, was exactly $20 for their smallest pizza with three toppings and a Diet Coke. With that, I felt ripped off. I do not recommend this place whatsoever. There are many other options in downtown Edwardsville, I am recommend them over Dewey's.
Took our friends on Saturday night...packed as usual but the line moves quickly. Need a sign by the line that tells people they need to SIGN IN AT THE DESK.. otherwise those coming in after you that sign in are actually called BEFORE YOU. Great pizza once again and our neighbors were impressed. Funky lemon vinaigrette dressing on my blueberry salad.. not a choice I will get again but it could be me. Attentive waiters with refills were awesome. We will be back ... crust to die for!

Delicious and the staff is extremely nice and willing to accommodate your every need.
I had a fabulous lunch at their buffet last week. The food was delish and not over priced! The naan was great, they had a wide variety of choices including some healthy, low calorie options! Good service and attitude! We are lucky to have this restaurant in Edwardsville!
Tried this for lunch today. The have a fairly large buffet and a number of options for vegetarians. The food was good albeit Americanized and not exactly for the foodie looking for authenticity. The naan here is the best part. It's always hard to find good naan in a buffet but they figured it out here. If you enjoy chicken tikka masala or butter chicken in most indian restaurants, this place will be a treat. Their salad bar was below average but who goes to an Indian restaurant to eat side salad with ranch!?

Takeout was hot and delicious.
This place beats P.F. Chang's any night. I recommend any of the specialties, especially if you like seafood. They offer family dinner specials that include soup, appetizer, entree, and desert for a very reasonable price (starting around $14/person). They also have a Chinese language menu.
I really wish I could give this place a better rating. The atmosphere was ok. We went on a Friday night around 7. It took a while to be seated. Tables were open just took someone a long time to seat us. There was a young girl cleaning off tables but seemed to make a bigger mess instead. She dropped things and just left it on the floor and in the seats. There were 3 servers. The server we had kept apologizing how busy they were when the place wasn't even packed. It took forever to order then when we got our soup we had to wait for utensils which took another 10 minutes. The 3rd server kept walking around and "cleaning" off tables. I figured he was scheduled to be off at 8 so he didn't want to wait on any tables. Right at 8:00, he walked out the door. We finally got our food but again had to wait for more utensils and had to ask twice for refills. The two tables near us both looked unhappy and complained. There was a lady that was messing with the cash register and printing off receipts I assumed was counting the cash drawer. Maybe she was an owner or manager. She should of been more worried that one of the servers is running around instead of worrying about the register. If the staff would of helped each other out, the service would probably been better. The food was awesome. The crab Rangoon and wonton's were delicious. I really wish this place would of been better. I'll try the place again one day but will probably do carry out instead.
