Came in last Saturday with my family(party of 4) and didn't have reservations, which was silly on our part. We had a small wait but the hostess made us feel really welcomed and was talkative and friendly during our wait. We were seated promptly and our server arrived outlaying all of the dinner specials and house wines.to start off I ordered a passion fruit cocktail and it was to die for!! I ordered the baked mostaccioli and a Milano salad I believe and both came out great as well. Service was phenomenal, food and drinks were excel em and the ambiance was perfect. Definitely coming back soon

Even though "The Hill" is only 30 minutes away, why leave town, when you can get a taste of it; right here in Edwardsville! The food was delicious, but they are a little proud of it. But that this okay, I saved the money in just the fuel cost and local convenience. I would have given them five stars, except our waiter seemed to go MIA too many times. Plus, the acoustic's are not the most desirable.

Went last night for supper. My wife had the pork chop with blueberry sauce that is always good. I had the pasta special which was tasty but was supposed to have 3 jumbo shrimp. I don't think it was worth the price($22). Usually don't order the specials, and now I know why

We love Bella Milano! We have visited several times. We even had my husband's 30th birthday party here a few years ago. My favorite thing to order is the Pasta 3 way! It's delicious, the sauce is a tad sweet, which I love. The cheese garlic bread is great as well for an appetizer. They have a covered patio which is really nice as well. We've never had a bad meal or bad service. Everyone is always nice and the food is always good!

It was in the winter. I remember the date because it was my birthday. It had been seven years since my last trip. I recall that visit as well. I may be off on the butter. However, I am certain as to the dish. It is your seafood linguini in a wine sauce. I have had it two times and find it a horrible mess. I specifically requested if they could make the same dish with a cream sail use instead. If not, I would make another choice because of the mess it makes. I prefer to eat not wear my dinner. I wasn't happy with the result. Enough said. As for the tip, I am certain about this as well. We had separate checks and a party member pointed out the included gratuity. We discussed it at length as to the impact on service and even discussed how some businesses are making it a standard for all checks. You may not be aware of it, but I assure it was added to our bills. Like I said, the staff was friendly enough, the food was passable. I took a couple bites of mine and took the rest home because I didn't want to wear it. After it sat in the fridge for a couple days, the sauce has thickened sufficiently to where it was a good meal. I just wished I cook have enjoyed in the restaurant.

Bella Milano brings great Italian food to the metro east, with a upscale casual atmosphere and quality service. Be advised that this is a popular place and it is often packed, with good reason. The food selection is great, you can order anything from seafood, pasta, pizza and even steak or chicken . I opted for a special which was an Apple Pork Risotto, which was nothing short of amazing. I wish that it was a regular on the menu . The atmosphere is very nice, somewhat upscale while still maintaining a relaxed casual setting. The service is also great, our waiter was always there when she was needed without crossing the line of being overly annoying. This is a place you have a nice dinner with the family or bring a date, either way everyone should leave happy. Prices are somewhat reasonable with a few exceptions. Pasta ranges from $10-16, with some extras like chicken or meatballs costing more. However most of the pastas do come with either Chicken or meatballs. The entrees can range anywhere from $18-27, which in my opinion is a little too high but the food is amazing so I will give them a pass. When I am in Edwardsville Bella Milano is usually on my list. Also the Edwardsville location is actually one of three, with the other the in Springfield and O'Fallon, IL. I highly recommend Bella Milano, if you are ever nearby any of their locations.

We were having people over to dinner and I was unable to go out so ordered Bella Milano family special. When we got it home it was first of all luke warm and difficult to reheat quickly since it is in aluminum containers. We had upgraded to the brocoli pasta dish and we received a portion a third smaller than usual which barely covered the bottom of the container. The mostacelli also barely covered the bottom of the container and had a little sauce thrown on the top with a small portion of half baked cheese. The bread was soft and uninteresting. The only good thing was the salad. Have ordered this in the past and it was much better. Disappointing.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience tonight. The toasted ravioli was very good as well as the salad. However, we ordered the pasta special and it was dry, dry, dry. There was absolutely no sauce whatsoever. If I go back, I will not order pasta. We didn't eat half of it and didn't take the leftovers home. The manager came over and offered to give us some sauce. No thank you. I normally do not complain but that was terrible food and poor service on the so called manager.

Great food and great service! The food was prepared nicely and got to my table in a timely matter, our drinks were constantly being which is always a great thing not having to wait to try and find a waitress to refill it for me

Approx. 18 months before her wedding, my organized daughter asked for time one weekend to check out six different potential wedding reception venues. We saw quite a variety, from places like the Moose Lodge and the American Legion to places like Sunset Hills Country Club and GC Cuisine. In the end, we settled on the elegant but affordable LeClaire Room, N.O. Nelson Campus, L&CCC. Many E'villians know it as place for the Goshen Rotary Club and fundraisers of all kinds. More than 100 years ago, it started out as a plumbing fixture business, became an art building for SIUE, then, more recently, became part of the community college, and underwent an extensive renovation. It's a large, architecturally interesting space with lots of natural lighting, a nice atrium for buffets and/or dance floors, courtyard for photos, and a good AV system. It also has an exclusive catering arrangement. Which brings me to Bella Milano Catering. Kori G. was our initial contact, and set us up with a contract, and several options we considered for a long time. About three months out, we went to a tasting, and settled on the menu. By the time of the event, Kate L. was our contact, and she did an absolutely marvelous job of meeting with us whenever we needed, and making sure every question was answered and detail addressed. From special menu requests, to bride-groom slide show, to DJ contact, to final set up and decoration, to hosting, serving, and clean-up, Kate was there to make sure things went smoothly. What did we eat? The vegans, gluten-frees, and lactose-frees had their own plates. For the rest of us, it looked something like this: Milano Salad Chicken Parmigiano Prime Rib Mashed Potatoes with Beef Mushroom Gravy Cavatelli Pasta in an Oil Butter & Garlic Sauce Green Beans with Bacon & Onion Brown Sugar Maple Glaze Baby Carrots (We arranged for dessert cupcakes from "The Cup") Champagne Toast Coffee, Tea, Water Soda Bar (unlimited Pepsi products) Cash Bar: 16-oz beer $4, wine & mixed drinks $5, premium mixed drinks $6 My daughter was and is very happy, and a good time was had by all.

Nice casual light Italian dining. It was busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. My dad said they have the best salad he's ever had. That might be setting the bar too high. It was very good. Eggplant parm A Glazed salmon is A+++ sooooo good!! Special whole wheat sage pasta C- Over all very good. I would go back. Yummy!!

Bella Milano never disappoints. They have a number of great italian starters, such as the toasted ravioli's. The house salad is awesome! They have a variety of dinner entres if you aren't into pasta. The salmon is delicious! Full bar and they now have a patio area as well open.

Been going here for years. I recently moved away from the area, but last night we went out of our way to go here because it is better than any other Italian place in the area ( not on The Hill). We got zucchini sticks as an appetizer that were great as always. They have the best house salad I've ever had. It's worth the trip here just for salad. I got the chicken milano which is two breaded chicken breasts in a cheese sauce that is unreal. Im usually skeptical about breaded chicken dishes because they are always greasy, tough and just generally bad. This however was fantastic! Not at all greasy and very tender. I got a side of spaghetti with meat sauce that was good enough that i would also recommend that alone as a meal. From me that is a huge compliment, as i do not generally like meat sauce. My boyfriend ordered eggplant parm and it was also very tasty. The sangria was good, and even better they offer a red or white, which is not common. We arrived around 6 and were seated right away. Our server, Ryan, was excellent, and very friendly. He did a nice job of keeping up with our drinks, which can be a challenge because my bf will drain his glass quickly.

Always delicious every time we have a meal here! House salad is a must. I highly recommend the artichoke dip or zucchini sticks as an appetizer. Any entree will satisfy you...I've never been disappointed! The $10 lunch menu is great - affordable and filling at the same time. If you ask, they'll even bring out olive oil/Parmesan with your bread during lunch service.

Got together with the whole family the other night at Bella Milano. We were able to reserve a private room, the "Godfather" room to be specific. The space holds 10 comfortably and gave our group a good deal of privacy. It even has it's own dedicated heat/cooling. The waiter was very nice and very efficient. I started off with a Red Sangria. A little bubblier than what I drank in Spain, but with amazing flavor. I would most certainly get it again. Bella's house salad is definitely a highlight. The crunchy prosciutto bit are amazing. We shared an order of St. Louis favorite toasted ravioli. They were spot on. Some of the best I have had in the entire region. For my main I had baked mostaccioli. It was very solid. The sauce is a bit on the sweet side, but I grew up with sweet tomato sauce. The leftovers made an excellent lunch. We had an excellent experience. No doubt in my mind we will be returning.

This restaurant catered the reunion at the Wagner complex. This was the worst meal at an event that I have ever had. The salad actually dripped dressing, the green beans could not be cut (even with a knife), there was some kind of meat in some kind of gravy (some said chicken...some said pork). The list goes on..... Not good.

  • Shaun M.

Bella Milano's is a great place to eat no matter what the occasion. The salad will make you want more every time and the pasta choices are endless. I have eaten at Bella Milano's several times and always had a great experience and will continue to come back. I think its great you can go have dinner in a suit or jeans and a t-shirt and fit in. The prices are better than what you would think for the quality of food you get which makes it a great choice to enjoy your evening out.

Very courteous staff, EXCELLENT food...Pasta Three Way, Pasta Con Broccoli, Milano Chicken are some of the favorites. Sunday is the best for the family deal of 2 pastas, salad and bread (says feeds 4, but goes for 5) for $30.

  • Susan H.

Very good! Go with the basic filet or the stuffed orange roughy or a salad or stuffed mushrooms...you get the point. Everything was very very good. My father and I both ordered the filet medallions covered in cheese sauce, and there was way too much cheese on those, it took away from the flavor of the steak, so stick with the basics. It's also a bit loud, they could really use some sound absorbing something. However, definitely worth a dinner. :)

Great lunch! Was busy at lunch because its so good- worth the wait if you have a wait a bit. The bar was pretty open to sit in. The Milano salad is yummy with prosciutto ham and special cheeses!!! I also had the Ravioli for the main dish and that was the perfect serving. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Friendly and knowledgeable staff! I can't wait for what I try there next!!

Bella Milano brings something great by way of bread and olive oil with shaved parmesean cheese. I would return just for the bread and oil, or as its known, "Italian Butter". The lunch specials are a great deal and all come with a salad and sizeable portion for around ten dollars. That can't be beat in a town starving for authentic Italian food. While it is a commercialized version, they hit the nail on the head with simple dishes. The chefs special is always pleasing as well. I would also make a point to go on Monday when their appetizer and special cocktail menu is only $5!

This place was just okay. I was a little disappointed as many people had mentioned this place was pretty decent. The martinis and the toasted ravioli were awesome! My husband ordered the veal marsala and it didn't even taste like there was any marsala in it. It was pretty bland. I ordered the pepperloin which was okay. The house salad were also really good. I might return for drinks and appetizers, but not sure I would choose this place for dinner.

Only been here once for dinner and it was packed. If you don't want a sports bar, or college bar, and want to have a decent conversation with who you are eating with, this is the place. They have a nice menu, any fish served here has always been rather good, along with the steaks. The service has always been really good, and the prices are not bad at all. Don't get to come around this area often, but it's a nice place to stop by. Will return in the future.

This is one of my favorite spots on the Illinois side. Great atmosphere, an excellent spot for a date or sunday lunch. The pasta 3 Way and the Milano salad is to Die for. Healthier choices including The strawberry chicken salad is wonderful. Great heated patio too

I've never rated a restaurant before, but my experience at Bella Milano deserves a comment. It was wonderful! My husband made the reservation for our whole family to celebrate my birthday. When we arrived, part of our party was already seated, not forced to wait in the lobby, and enjoying some lovely wine. We were promptly seated, waters filled, and appetizer/drink orders placed. The appetizers ranged from some of the best fried calamari I've ever had (my husband and I live on The Hill and have experienced a wide range) to a bruschetta with pesto that I would willing eat as my sole food source for the rest of my life. Those were just the appetizers! The Milano salad is an absolute treat. A house-made Italian-style dressing tossed in a bed of lettuce, cheese, and prosciutto cubes. For the main, I had cheese tortellini. It had a kick but it was softened by the cream--an extraordinary combination that was new to me. My husband had a seafood spaghetti with a lemon butter sauce. He reports that it was sweet, rich in flavor but did not feel heavy after he ate it as most butter sauces make him feel. For dessert, everyone has a bite or two of each others food and the table agreed that the best by far was the fried cheesecake and the Sicilian chocolate cake. The chocolate was decadent and exceptional, nicely offset by the raspberry purée. The cheesecake was on a bed of creme anglaise and, to be honest, I'm getting hungry just thinking of it. Like I said, the experience was amazing. I'd recommend having all of your birthday and anniversary dinners here in the future as they really know how to take care of their guests! We drove from STL just to eat at Bella and I can assure you that we will do it again very soon

I've been here a few times. I've really wanted to try to like it and shop local, but this is no "taste of the Hill". Disclaimer: I AM A HILL SNOB. I think I'm 50% Italian, I've been to Italy, and I can cook good Italian food. That being said here is my review. I've had the Chicken Stasilli that has received raves and honestly I can say "I don't get the hype!". The chicken was fine on it's own, but the veggies and heavy lemon gravy was something bad from Kraftfoods.com . It did not seem like the quality of food they advertise. Also have tried the Blackened Grouper due to Lent season. Let's just say my Mother is an aficianado of all things hot. The hotter the better. She said well this is spicey for just being "blackened". Although it didn't bother her heat wise there was something that just didn't taste well at all. If you get this, I suggest no cheese or peppers or aioli. Something didn't mix well and it would probably do good on its own, with those on the side or not at all. Jury was unsure about this. This place is not fancy, it is not upscale. This is a casual restaurant in a strip mall, in a city that has a lot of $$ to spend, but few choices to eat at. If you eat here I believe the service will always be fabulous as I have not had a bad experience both eating in and take out. However, the food is nothing more than OK. I would only suggest anything with their meat sauce as it is edible. Anything else I would say no. The only thing you can't go wrong with here is the ravioli, the meat sauce it is served with and the bread. The Milano salad is fine as an accompaniment but I think it's very over priced for the serving sizes and quality. I feel really bad saying this, but I won't eat here other than for take out Milano salad and ravioli period. If all I like is their meat sauce, well I can make spaghetti or ravioli at home from DiGregorio's staple items and be just as happy. DiGregorio's Mama's meat sauce is heaven in a frozen tub. I really feel bad for this review, but I'm just not a fan. I'll just be the takeout ravioli girl. ##rating does not reflect service

It's a step or two above Olive Garden, and the service is always great. The food isn't a particularly good value, however. One a scale of one to ten, the food is a six while the price is a seven.

Went for lunch at 11:30. It wasn't too crowded and we were seated immediately. The house salad was awesome, as usual. The Chicken Stasili was excellent. Service was also very good. This has been my experience every time we've been to Bella Milano. We've been there a handful of times and have always enjoyed it.

Olive Garden food at Maggiano's prices. The last time I was there, there were three employees at the Host stand the whole time, and it wasn't because they were working so hard. Enough said.

I have been to this restaurant twice now and both times the experience was OK. The first time I was there I had the pork chops, which were good, and the most recent trip I had the chicken parmigiano, which was just OK. The chicken seemed a bit overdone and dry, which was quite disappointing. The rest of my group seemed to really like their dishes which ranged from pasta to seafood, which means maybe I am just not selecting the right dishes. The one thing that I really like at Bella Milano is the Milano dressing for their house salad. It is very delicious and almost addicting. I lapped up every last drop with the bread. Although the restaurant is located in a strip-mall, the atmosphere is quite nice, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I would have liked to give it 3.5 stars, but due to the price of the food and the quality I received I had to knock it down to 3 stars instead of rounding it up to 4.

My parents raved about Bella Milano so when we were in town we all decided to go. Went on a Wednesday evening and it was very busy but we were seated right away. It took about 8 minutes for our server to come over and take our drink order. He came back about 5 minutes later with the drinks and we placed our dinner order. He never really came back much after that except to deliver our dinner. I had the seafood ravioli and it was very good. It wasn't very hot..but it was still good. Everyone at my table actually had the dish except my husband - he had chicken parm and said it was good. The server never came back to check how our meals were. I honestly felt bad for him. You could tell he was overwhelmed and doing the best he could. He had sweat pouring off him and he was just running around like a chicken with his head cut-off. He had WAY to many tables. It seemed like they didn't have enough servers but they have 3 hostess (who were pretty useless). It's a shame because the food was pretty decent, the service just needs a bit of work.

Generally, good food and good service. A couple times, my meat was way undercooked (rare instead of medium well) and the special wasn't all that great. Those couple of incidents haven't stopped me from coming here because all of the other times were so good, even if it's a little pricey.

We had a great experience on our first visit together. Our biggest compliment is to our server, James. He really went out of his way to make it a great meal. One thing he asked almost right away, really impressed me. How do you want to pace your meal? Do you want to stay a while and take one thing at a time, or are you wanting to take things more quickly? I can't tell you all how many times I've gone to a place and gotten my appetizer at the same time as my main course AND salad. He went out of his way to make sure he asked. Our food was good. You have to love Provel cheese to love some of these items. To the reviewer complaining of the thick, "cheap" cheese and loaded with corn starch, I'm not so sure you understand the St. Louis tradition of Provel cheese. Both my wife's and my entree featured it, and we loved it. I will say I wasn't impressed with their calamari appetizer. Their coating was great, and it was a great chance to try their own red sauce. I love both, but the calamari itself was tough, and overpowered by the thick coating and red sauce. It deserves a more delicate treatment. Their salad is typical for St. Louis area italian. Lettuce marinated in sweet italian dressing until it turns a bit soft. And it was great with prosciutto and cheese. The one real negative is that we had asked for chive on our baked potato, if they had it. It came out with green onion. That's not the same thing. They should know that. They served the condiments on the side, though, and that was easy to correct ourselves. Even with a couple minor complaints, the service we received more than made up for it. Even their complimentary glasses of water were good, which is rare. I'll be sure to visit again.

Bella Milano is uneven at best. At times we have enjoyed hot, flavorful meals. At other times we were quite disappointed. Six months ago the lasagna was the culprit. Several layers of pasta covered in a pound of thick, gooey cheese. Just because you can use that much cheese doesn't mean you should. Yuck. Sent it back. Got a bit of attitude from the manager of the day. Last night it was flavorless orange roughy. Sent it back. Manager apologized and took it off the bill. Spouse had linguine and clams. Tasted reheated, kinda like the pasta you brought home and reheated for lunch the next day. I don't want to beat this place up, it just seems to have a lot of turnover of wait staff and I wonder if the same is occurring in the kitchen. Eight out of ten times it is fine, not outstanding, but good. Two out of ten times make you wonder why you came back those other eight.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
