My family and I have been customers here for years. The wings are great and the pizza is good. However, after some recent experiences, I'm fed up. The past two times we attempted to order pizzas we were unable to. First, we tried ordering an 18" pizza last weekend and were told we'd have to wait an hour and a half because they are only equipped to cook two pizzas at a time or something like that. Which, while frustrating, is still a bit understandable. Tonight, however, was mindboggling. We called to order a pizza and were told that they weren't cooking pizzas today because it was too hot in their kitchen. I can't even begin to comprehend this from a business standpoint, especially since today marked the return of football season and I'd imagine they would probably move a decent number of pizzas. Anyway, after these experiences, we're moving on and seeking a new go-to pizzaria. Maybe one that actually wants to earn money.

Nothing fancy or overly friendly about this place. It's a neighborhood joint full of neighborhood folks. I was here on a Sunday afternoon and there were about 20 people in the bar, mostly white men in their 40-60s drinking beer and talking amongst themselves. Basketball was on the handful of flat screens throughout. I was here for an order of wings not to make friends or socialize. I took a table in the backroom, which was easy to do since there was only one other person back there. I'm a bit of a wing freak. I prefer classic Buffalo style over smoked, bbq or other flavored types. I like my wings with carrots, celery and blue cheese dressing (chunky, if possible). The wings here are very good. They aren't the small pitiful kind you get at Buffalo Wild Wings or other such chain establishments. They're fairly meaty and well sauced. The carrots were a little weird... can they be soggy? It's the only word I can think that describes them best. No snap, no crunch, kinda limp actually. The celery was fine, nothing to snappy or crunchy either. The blue cheese wasn't chunky but it was tasty. $15 out the door including refillable pop. I'll be coming back for the $6 Wednesday night wing special. It's hard to pass up wings of this quality at that price.

My love of Off Broadway is only based on weeknight visits for dinner. We've sat in the bar or the back restaurant area. Either way, it's nothing more than what you think it is. It's a neighborhood bar that serves food. The drinks are cheap compared to the city and the food is good. The menu is extensive and the wings are outstanding. The only weird thing is that even if you're sitting at the bar, a waitress takes your food order. Just tell your bartender that you'd like to order food and you'll be taken care of. Other than that, relax and enjoy.

If I hadn't gone there just a week ago, this would have been 5 stars - for their wings. They have the best hot wings - incredibly addictive, however their wings are A LOT smaller than they used to be - but the prices stayed the same. Boo! Booooo!

Got a Groupon for the place. Never heard of it before, but glad we tried it. It actually took us 2 times to try it. The first time, we walked in, and right back out. It's an old man, corner neighborhood bar. Not a restaurant. The next time, we ordered to go. The wings are what we're told are worth the drive alone and they didn't fail. So now, we decided to try them again and go in. If the food was good on a to go order, they must be better in person. So we braved on. They took us through a back room area. It was pretty dark, dank and smelled like propane, but never the less. Sat down to a table. Only one other table eating in there during a Saturday afternoon lunch hour. Not really a good sign. Ordered the wings first thing, then burgers, potato skins and drinks. It took a little while, but again, worth the wait. The wings are VERY GOOD. Everything else wasn't bad either. Nice variety on the menu. Friendly wait staff. I would love to give this hole in the wall a higher score, but 2 things held that back. 1. The place itself. Dark, run down, dirty and dated. Still surprised they even had a place to sit down to eat. Not really family friendly. People huddled out front as you walk in smoking kinda stinks (literally). So to even get in the place, you have to walk through the smokers lounge. 2. While the wings flavor themselves taste really good, they are a little on the small size. Especially for the price. About $10 for a dozen. I guess what I'm saying is, don't judge a book buy it's cover here. The food is worth it.

Well......this place very bad service and over priced food who pays for horrible food bad quality. We ordered Garlic bread and it had mold on it and the lady waitress didn't want to take it back we had to ask 4 times finally got a new one the cheese for the fries came out cold and tasted like old cheese don't eat it fries were the only thing that you can't mess up the wings are bad Buffalo Wild Wings is way better and they have 65 cent wings and better quality and service. I ordered some pop came out flat so I changed it for a tea and that tasted like a Chicago sewer so I had to walk to the cvs and buy my own drinks. The pizza we ate tasted like plastic sucked too. Please take my advice stay away from this place don't not waist your money or time.

I've heard the food was good here, so I bought a groupon to try it. This place is a total dive, but it has many loyal patrons. Street parking was easy to find. When I walked in, I was immediately assaulted by the smell of the bathroom- not good. I went to sit in the back with a friend, and thankfully, the smell did not reach that far. We both ordered burgers- I had the bacon and cheese burger. Comes with fries and 4 measly pickle slices. The burger was flavorless even with the cheese and bacon on it. I didn't know bacon could have no flavor too! It's my own fault for not saying anything, but it just wasn't good. Its known for its wings, which I'm thinking I should've tried. I was there on a Thursday and the place was dead. Service was good! Couldn't make up for that stench and poor food though, which was still there when we left. Ick. I don't think I'd go back.

A great looking neighborhood bar. I made a mistake ordering frog legs which was icky but the food I saw others ding on looked real good. This bar has a back area with table seat g and other dining areas away from the bar. The bar is small but has a more home feeling something you will never get from Buffalo Wild Wins or some other boring chain. This is a fun place to be inside.

Five star on food - the place was decent. Had the hot wings (split with someone) which were amazing and then had the Buffalo Burger, wow!!! It was awesome, huge, spicy, fries were great... I was stuffed! Great meal, kinda simple on the atmosphere & dark. Felt like a place where the same guys hang out for afternoon beers every day.

I've been in Brookfield over 12 years and I'm kicking myself for not trying this place sooner. The cheeseburger and chicken sandwich were both incredibly delicious. The service was excellent. The beer was cold. Will definitely go back!

Off Broadway's website says: happy hour! Free pizza 4-6pm! Leinies on Thursdays for $2.25!! Both lies. We paid $3 each for the beers, the waitress was condescending and rude...barstools and tables were extremely and disgustingly sticky and dirty...their fries were nothing to write home about ... and we waited til 5:30 for the "free pizza". Never happened. Never going back again.

One of my favorite places to go for lunch in the Brookfield area. Great food, decent beer selection, and several Tvs to watch whatever you'd like. Small town feel to it which I enjoy. Highly recommend this place as an alternative to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Came back again for a birthday celebration, and experienced more mediocrity. This time I had the lovely experience of dining in the back room. I wish someone told me we should bring a flashlight. We were the first ones seated for the evening and thought they forgot to turn the lights on. When we asked, the waitress explained that this was as bright as it was going to get because the lights were broken. It sounded like they had been out for a while, and there was no urgency to fix them. The apps were pretty typical and nothing extraordinary. The pizza burger was decent, but not sure why they make it with grilled onions. Once again, the only thing that stood out was their beer selection.

Whats not to love? Have you seen their weekly specials?? Great place for a casual, inexpensive dinner or lunch. Total dive though! Don't expect anything fancy, it is Brookfield after all! If you want fancy, Lagrange is a stones throw away. It almost feels like you're in rural Wisconsin in the wintertime. Lots of local regulars frequent the place. Pizza is really good, so are the wings. The salads aren't bad either, I like the chopped salad. The burgers aren't the best thing on the menu though...Need to some salt and pepper or seasonings in the meat. They do occasionally have free pizza at happy hour. It was a nice little surprise the last time I went because I am pregnant and was STARVING!! They also have free popcorn! I really enjoy their outdoor patio in the summer time. We live a few blocks away and walk over with our well behaved dog. They allow the dog on the patio as long as it does not go inside and even bring out a little bowl of water! :) The staff is always pretty nice if you aren't a snob, (again, its Brookfield...)

Good ass hot wings with fries that seemed breaded...real good. The bar section was noisy with an older crowd. But if your looking for more laid back there is a room towards the back with a fireplace & tv more relaxed.

pretty good food. service is lacking. It's down the street from my house, which is really nice - i'll give it a few more tries.

Good ole Groupon. We went here during a Hawks v. Bruins championship game. When we got there, I was confused what these people were doing with Groupon. It was a pretty divey dive bar. The front of the building seems like the original structure with a dining room edition on the back. Just like other reviews, the lights were pretty dim back there. The front was bright and welcoming, but full from the Hawks game. We unfortunately sat in the back next to the trashiest people EVER! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE dive bars. While confused, I was pretty excited to be here. The group next to us were all older 20s, and they were the type of people that thought that they were so interesting, EVERYONE needed to hear their conversation which included one loud mad trying to convince the two girls to kiss THE ENTIRE TIME! And their various drunk driving experiences. Why is this relevant, you ask? Because for me (and I think others?) a big part of the dive experience is people watching. These people were so irritating I wanted to run away screaming. Also, we got there around 9:30 pm and there were children there while their guardians drank beer! I would think it's a little late for children to be allowed in a bar? These kids were next to the crazy obscene people, so... great environment for them. Anyway, the waitress was really nice, but frequently absent. I will put that off to the Hawks and the annoying people next to us. Our food was standard bar fare. Nothing special, but pretty cheap. They have some amazing specials that we weren't allowed to get with our Groupon. If I were to go again, I would indulge in their awesome specials and sit in the front.

I give this place 4 stars because their wings are the best I have ever had. I get them every week. Eating in is ok. There is like 2 ladies there that are phenomenal at their job. The others really just make the place feel down and miserable. It's a total dive bar. The back room is always nice and quiet in my opinion. I am not picky and it' s comfortable to me. One bartender there makes the best jack and coke and the other bartender was terrible. I don't like my drinks dinky and watered down with ice. If I am spending 5$ on a drink atleast give me a reason to tip you. All in all I love the food. Best there is locally for wings. Everyone should try them. Hot wings and Honey BBQ are the best!

I live within walking distance of this place. Just moved in recently and have been here now a few times. The prices are good, the food is above average, they have a good selection of beer, the service is great and the pizza is good. It's an old place with a lot of character. I will definitely continue to go back.

Off Broadway Pub located in the heart of Brookfield, Illinois is by far one of the best "top shelf" restaurant's in Chicago's western suburbs. Nested in a quite Brookfield Illinois neighborhood, Off Broadway Pub comes complete with that quaint neighborhood bar feel coupled with the best food our taste-buds have ever come in contact with!!!! All You Can Eat Fish Fry, Mouth watering burgers along with reasonably priced cocktails...... Off Broadway Pub has it all and MUST be included on your BEST Bar & Grill List. Without a doubt, Off Broadway Pub is one of Bill Rohde and The Del Souls ~ Chicago's BEST Early Roots Rock Band's favorite bar and grills. 5 STAR RESTAURANT - The Del Souls - route66hop.com

My dad is a frequenter of all bars in the Brookfield area and took me here since I needed food AND a tv for the Hawks. The seating is great and I was attempting to be healthy and ordered a salad. It was decent but watery. Server was nice but slow since she was the only server for the large crowd. My dad, being the devil on my shoulder, ordered the wings. My dad is a GENIUS and always knows best. Not the greatest place, but 4 stars simply for the wings. We ordered the medium spicy, which I think is a perfect hot, not wimpy or too much that I'm worrying about my trip to the bathroom tomorrow. Crispy, juicy, meaty, glorious.

Off Broadways food is much better then their service. The front bar area is smaller and fills fast for dinner, there is a seating area in the back as well that hold probably 40-50 people. We go a lot during lent for the all you can eat fish fry, it is one of my husbands favorites. The food is good and comes out correct just not very fast so go and order before you are starving. I have also had their catering and it's very good and is pretty inexpensive compared to other places with the same type of food.

I have not written a review in a longggg time, so since this is the place i ate at this weekend I must review it. Groupon and the delicious looking wings brought me to this place. Ordered the wings. They were alright. They looked alot better in the picture. I had the mexican grilled chicken sandwich with the waffle fries and it was delicious. The chicken tasted fresh off the grill and the bread for the sandwich was really good too. Service was fast no complaints there. Only reason why im giving it 3 stars is that the bill came out to $30 (before groupon) and it only included a dozen of wings and 2 sandwiches with fries. I think that it's kinda steep for that kind of place.

Came here with my family during the summertime. This place is a really fun little neighborhood type of pub. It's food is pretty delicious and well-priced. During the summer-time there is outdoor seating, and you can bring your dog : ) I love that. So many times I've passed it and seen people sitting there, obviously %100 serene, simply enjoying a beer, the sunshine, and the company of their friends and dog : ) What more could a person want?

We moved in right around the corner and were really hoping this would become "our" neighborhood spot (a bar you can walk to? yes please!) But were quickly dissapointed. So far we've been there three times. First we went on a week night for a couple of beers and some wings. We sat inside as it was a little chilly. Took a while for the server to come around, but it's kind of a small divey place so no big deal. She was pleasant enough, but a little rough around the edges (again, we chocked this up to "oh well, it's a dive bar, not an applebees"). We ordered wings and soon found out that if you wanted anything other than the traditional sauce you had to pay extra, like enough extra that it made the wings pretty pricey. We figured, well, they're "award winning" so let's try it! They were...at best, "meh", and I'm really not picky about wings. Just so so, kinda greasy and not a lot of meat. BBQ sauce was kind of bland. The next time we went was during the stanley cup game when the hawks won. Now, it was crazy-town in there, and we totally anticipated waiting longer for service...when it did come (2 hours after sitting down) it was grumpy at best. We waited another HOUR for wings. Cut to paying the bill...they charged us $3.00 for the ranch & celery sticks.....huh?! Not extra mind you..just the little cup and 4 sticks that came with the wings in the basket. I asked the server and she got very snippy and said "well you didn't say you DIDNT want that" Ok....whatever. 3 hours for food and you charge us for the celery sticks (not on the menu btw). We tried again for a third time in the summer, we saw a groupon for 50% off food items and decided to give it one last try. We sat out on the patio and had some dinner, wings, and a few beers. Service was luke warm, but we were OK with it. When the bill came, we told the waitress we had a groupon for the food portion, she brought the bill and we gave her the groupon (I think it was like 20% off of food items or something like that) and gave her cash for the reminder of the bill plus a 20% tip. When I handed her the cash, I told her we were all set (i.e don't need any change, the rest is for tip), and she said "Don't leave, I need to go type in the code on this groupon to make sure you aren't giving me a fake one". I swear, if my husband wasn't there I would never have believed she actually said that. Really a shame they have such a great location in brookfield. Maybe the staff will change soon and we can try it yet again.

Never again... It truly is who you know there. The server was rude.. No cheese on the tortilla soup... never again..

Having move in just down the street and easy walking distance from Off Broadway, I was excited to try them out. It was a let down. So I tried them again. Same thing. 3rd time? Didn't help. Like an idiot, I even gave them a fourth try. The wings are a dry sauce and really are good, but they charge extra for dipping sauce, carrots and celery. What is that? Or put a notice that your about to be charged for everything besides the wings and the basket they come in. The service is also really slow and two notches above "rude". I'm really trying to like this place, the outside area is really nice and it's great because dogs are welcome. I know this place has a lot of regulars and above average bar food so I'm going with a three, but as far as going back? I'm not in a hurry.

A friend had a groupon.. (what a wonderful thing) She called when she got there and told me looked like a neighborhood bar do I want to meet someplace else.. We talked and decided no unsafe place in Brookfield and we would give it a try. Glad we did.. Didn't look like pic on the web page but Got in and even a seat in back where it was warmer. We both decided on the fish fry. Very good but a bit greasy but just what it says.. FISH FRY. It has a great taste and i don't find many places I like their slaw but this place it was good. I would go again if in the area.. it is kind of stuck back in a resident area so you would be surprised of the place.. Small but great food and service was good too.. Glad to have said I been there. The fish fry was 9;95 a person came with fries, slaw. My coke was 2.50.. total bill was 29.00 for two people. try it you will like it

we came here during the brookfield spring fling and heard this band, i think called "redmonds"? a really good trio. sang janis joplin and johnny cash stuff. i want to say that one of them is a part owner or has some connection to the bar. this place has a real nice local flavor to it. they had a decent sized restaurant that was in the back. i would like to go back and eat sometime.

We had a groupon and they would not let us use it even though we used it on a day we were supposed to be able to use it. It was a waste of my time and gas.

I am giving Off-Broadway another star simply because of the wings. We were there over the weekend and the wings continue to be some of the best that I have had since moving to the Chicago area. They are a good size and the sauce is traditional wing sauce. They don't add BBQ or any other thinsgs to make it their own "special" thing. It is just simple wing sauce.

The best thing I can say about this off off Broadway pub is that they have all you can eat ribs and the ribs are very tasty-first round was half slab followed 1/4 slabs hinting they did not want us to eat more-ribs were great smoky fall of the bone type...there seems to be a nice local following with small bands as teh place is pretty small-bar in front "restaurant" in back-not a destination place but f you are by the zoo and looking for grub, pop in!
