Do love that butter burger....really, I love anything with extra butter! Great location right off the freeway. Did note that they have $5 meal deals that are cheaper than the kids meals. Good times!

Very clean establishment. Plenty of staff to handle a busy lunch rush. Food was hot and tasted good, only issue was I got tomatoes on my burger when I didn't orders them. Not the end of the world, I just took them of. But since this is a review I thought I would mention it. We will be back.

I Love Culvers Custard! Restaurant and bathroom were clean and everyone was friendly. Good service and Great Custard!

Fish was perfectly cooked and fresh. The green beans were cooked until they were bright green and had were firm not soggy. Pleasantly surprised.

I tried the cod sandwich that was being promoted at the time, and I was not impressed. The filet was tender and moist, but there was more breading the fish. And as usual, the photo on the menu board did not match what I got. I don't understand why restaurants don't get this. If you put a photo of a fish sandwich and it appears that the filet is too big for the bun, that's what you better give me, not a small filet lost in a big bun and a thick layer of breading. I cannot recommend Culver's fish sandwich in any way. This particular location is clean, and the service was fast and friendly, considering we visited here along with a college softball team and a group of their parents, including us.

I actually was able to plan where we'd stop for dinner on our long drive using Yelp. We needed something relatively cheap and close to the highway. We had never been to Culver's, though we'd seen the billboards. It seemed like all the locals were there, chatting and relaxing together. A baseball team took up several tables. I was able to get fried fish, a roll with butter, and green beans. Hubby had a hamburger. A little nicer and pricier than McDonald's. We refueled and were on our way.

We stopped here on our way to St. Louis and on the return trip back home. Our first visit deserved 4 stars. We stopped on a Wednesday night for dinner at about 6:30. There were plenty of servers and we got our meal quickly. The restrooms were spotless and the women's restroom had fresh cut flowers. On our return trip we did not have such a good time. We decided to get our meal to go but went inside to order. Apparently this is a hot spot to visit after church on Sunday morning as there were lots of dressed up people, but not many Culver's employees. After a painfully long wait to order, we waited even longer for our food. We saw many of the church people get to the counter place their order, go sit down and get their food delivered to their table. Meanwhile we stood around waiting. Our order was a salad, 2 orders of chicken fingers, 2 burgers and some fries. Nothing complicated, not even any drinks! Yet it took over 15 minutes to get our food. I could see it if everyone else had to wait for food, but we were the only ones waiting! Everyone else was being served and some of the people had more food than us! I have food allergies and am stuck with a salad most of the time at these places anyway, so I'm making sure we stop somewhere else next time. I'm already in the car for 5 hours, so I don't want to wait a long time for food!

Descriptive phrase: An oasis on the way from St Louis to Milwaukee. What's so special about a run-of-the-mill Culver's you ask? This location is the only worthwhile stop on the long road from The Lou to Wisconsin. Always friendly, always delicious (Wisconsin cheese curds!), always where I stop.

YUM! When traveling from Cincinnati to Denver, we happened upon Culvers while we took a bathroom break. My fiance spent a year in WI and insisted we stop here for dinner. We split a very yummy milkshake and we each had a burger. Culvers also had listed some 'smart' food options which was really cool. I love when restaurants provide healthier alternatives. Instead of fries, I opted for a cup of healthy soup.

I went here again for a fish sandwich (maybe another location - don't matter) I got a WALLEYE on a bun - DANG it was the best fish sandwich I ever had from a fast food joint. They have other types of fish, too.

Whoever is the manager here deserves an award. SUPER friendly staff! All the staff workers were smiling--an unusual sight at a fast food chain. They actually looked happy to be working on a cold Sunday afternoon. One of the workers (the manager?) walked around asking each table if everything was alright and if they needed anything. The service was also speedy and the staff looked like they worked well together and had great morale. I considered writing to their headquarters to remark at how nice and efficient the service was here! I hope they keep it up. I may not ever visit again because I just ate there while passing through, but it was definitely memorable, so I had to review it.

When Gulliver P. Culver was a young man, his father taught him an invaluable lesson: with great power comes great responsibility. If Malcolm Gladwell were to make a follow up to outliers, he would probably find that Gulliver put in his 10,000 hours hand crafting what came to be known as the butter burger. This is how I imagine krabby patties tasting down in bikini bottom. the tenders r piping hot as well. Gulliver does not disappoint

While traveling I-55 near Bloomington, this is our most likely human refueling pitstop. Culvers is clean, fast, and offers options the whole family enjoys. Gluten free or low carb? Order your butter burger "no bun." Salads are good, too.

I don't know if this is only for this particular store, but they no longer have hot dogs. HOT DOGS. And unfortunately this is sometimes the reason I frequent Culvers. So 3 stars for the still delicious fries and butter burgers, but not 4 or 5 for taking one of my favorite items off the menu. Again, no more hot dogs. So sad.

How are they getting fresh Wisconsin cheese curds in Bloomington, IL when you can't find a squeaky cheese curd anywhere in Chicago? Makes no sense, Bloomington is further from WI than Chicago. And these cheese curds were deep fried and still squeaking! Of greater concern, why was I eating such crap? Well, I was depressed. A lovely long weekend in St. Louis had come to a close and driving back to Chicago I thought, "Everyone else eats this crap all the time. I feel sad and I'm going to eat some crap." The cheese curds made me feel moderately better, even if it was only because of the id victory over the superego. That feeling never lasts, of course, hence the 4 stars. Fast food is flawed on principle. But Culver's seems like a really good choice if you are going to eat fast food, especially if you need some excitement along the very boring stretch of I-55 between Chicago and STL.

butter burgers are the best: If you go to this place you can expect some good burgers. I usually get the double cheeseburger basket and its excellent. Its always hot and fresh and they load up the fries most of the time. My girlfriend is a veg head so she gets the tuna melt and fries and she really likes that. She also enjoys the turtle sundae as its pretty tasty.I myself usually go for a concrete mixer with reeses peanut butter cups & cookie dough mmmmmmmm is all i can say. i had to cut back though because of my waistline though. This place is always real clean and everyone is always nice. the lady manager is always in good spirits and looks like a nice person to work for.I also like the fact that last spring they were closed one day because of a employee picnic.I think its great that an employer does that for there employees.I also am glad to see they were closed on Easter so they can spend it with there families and loved ones. I look at like this you can go to the golden arches and get a meal deal for $4.50 or go to culvers for $1.00 more and get a real good meal thats tastes much better.

I know this is semi fast food but at least it is clean and everything is always hot! If you want a quick bite and delicious custard this is the place to go. It is always always always clean which is awesome. Everything is always super hot and made to order. There salads are great. For on the go food this place is way better than the "fast food" choices that are out there. Chocolate custard = yummy!!!!!

The stop was only suppose to be a potty break during our 5 hour drive back home to STL. But I came out of the restroom to find the hubby sitting at a booth waiting for his butter burger basket...I thought he was full after having leftover Gino's for breakfast? Whatever, I'll help him eat some fries. Man were they tasty fries. Nice thick cut, fresh, hot crinkle cut fries with tons of salt. That salt got my taste buds going and the flavor of the day was Twix Mix. Which I've never had. Maybe I'll just try a sample to see if I like it. OMG! Something about custard just makes me melt. I see it, smell it or get a lick of it and I get a little weak in the knees. Twix Mix was a chocolate AND vanilla swirled custard with pieces of Twix candy bar. I think I'll have to have a scoop now that my taste buds have been enticed. The caramel in the Twix was a little harder than it would be normally because it was frozen inside the creamy custard. Eating it involved a little more chewing work than normal, but good nonetheless.

Typical Culvers. Used drive through so don't know about the interior, but the food wash fresh, hot, and fast.

As good food as any other Culver's, but the bathrooms here are absolutely tiny. Two stalls in the women's bathroom, one stall and one urinal in the men's. The size of this Culver's requires bathrooms about three or four times the size. It is right off a major interstate so it is generally always busy. If you are by yourself you might be ok, but don't even think about taking two or three kids with you to the bathroom during lunch time.
