I love Chipotle...there I said it. While most are the same, this location was super quick, had great customer service and as always, such great food. I love when servers truly look at you and ask you what you'd like to order and seem to actually want to get you the best meal they can. It's appreciated. At lunch hour, it can get hectic but they shined by having plenty of help to move things along. It's clean...super clean. I did hear a complaint while I was standing in line about a new mother who was chatting with her friend about the washroom not having any soap or a changing table but that's pretty petty to me...not the soap though!

Just awful! Got steak tacos and the meat was cold. Taco shells tasted like grease. Totally disappointing.

Everytime I come to this dump there is a 15 minute wait for food that takes literally 15 seconds to make. I get its minimum wage fast food pay, but to have a line out the door and empty dining area shows just how poorly the place is run and managed.

7 employees behind counter....2 people in the dining area. Stood there for a good few minutes until I asked someone for service, and a girl came up, rolled her eyes and asked what she could get for us.....what a joke. Unfortunately This is the closest chipotle in the area. Horrible...always is.

Never had bad food here. The wait can be a bit bad at times. I love Mexican food but this isn't really authentic Mexican food. It's considered fast food. If it weren't for the sauces I probably wouldn't come here. It adds a nice touch to the food. The staff here is friendly and they are quick at making the food when there isn't too big of a line.

Love this Chipotle!! The ingredients are always fresh and the food is amazing. Lots of options for my 3 picky kids - they love the steak and chicken tacos. We go every week and the staff is great. The manager runs a smooth crew, keeping everything moving along swiftly like a well oiled machine. As busy as they are, they smile and welcome us back as frequent customers, and best of all they never mess up our orders. I will say, though, that ordering online a 1/2 hour ahead of time is KEY to this place, if you can. The line is often out the door (a testament to the great food) but ordering through the APP, you are allowed to skip to the front and pay for an easy in and out! Priceless. Parking sucks here - limited spaces- but there's overflow parking right across the street.

I've been to many different Chipotle restaurants. This was the quickest one that I've ever been at. As far as the place goes, it's pretty standard.

Worst chipotle I've ever been to, and I've been to plenty. They neither speed up nor slow down, they just plod along and have their chats with each other while the customer line is routinely back to the door. It is the only chipotle convenient around this area which is perhaps why they don't strive for good or speedy customer service.

Line out the door, while staff was sitting down eating lunch. I get that people need to take a lunch, but if there is a line out the door they shouldn't be eating in view of the customers. They couldn't get orders correct and kept running out of steak. I blame management for these downfalls

The worst Chipotle I've ever been to-consistently. Lines out the door every time. Service is super slow and they never have enough food made. No apologies are ever given. Just bad all the way around.

This location used to be great. However they have lost many good workers and changed their management too many times now. I just waited over 20 minutes to even start my order which than only took 15 seconds. This is unacceptable in this kind of business. There were six workers just standing there waiting to be told what to do while the person who should have been making my food was trying to figure out an online order, one of the other five workers should have helped me or I don't know ME! The customer in the restaurant. I work at a restaurant very much like this one and myself and my workers do not have this problem. I was also noticed for being upset and all I got was a fake apology about the online order. They created a line out the door due to this. There was only two other people when I first started waiting in line. Bottom line get better workers and better management. Oh and the manager on staff during all of this, yeah she was taking her lunch in the dining room. Terrible terrible terrible. Go to the one in crystal lake!! Do not go here!

I was there tonight and when I got to the counter the woman was staring at me like it was my turn so I started to place my order. She looked at me and said she was working on someone elses so I said sorry and laughed it off. She looked at the woman next to her and said in Spanish "esta esta loca" meaning this one is crazy. I looked at her and said in spanish no I'm not crazy. She dropped the giant tortilla and just walked away. I can't believe this is how they treat their customers. I talked to the useless manager and left without placing an order for myself. I didn't make a scene because I had my daughters with me. Such shame that they can call people names because they think they don't speak spanish.

I cannot believe I am reviewing Chipotle, but I couldnt let this go by. Recently went to lunch with my sister in law and holy hell is this place poorly run. All of the tables were dirty. The outdoor tables were wet and it had rained the previous night! The service is awful. The employees were in a daze. I swear it was like the twilight zone. There was no emotion. There was no, "hello! welcome to chipotle!" After cleaning off a table, we enjoyed our food. That did not disappoint. I think the highlight of our lunch was when an employee (possibly manager) walking past an overflowing garbage bin and numerous filthy tables to see how our meal was. Seriously?

I like the menu at Chiplote and the food quality is the same as the rest of the locations I have frequented, except don't go between 12 & 1pm because every high school kid in McHenry County shows up at this time. The line is 15-20 people long and it takes about 15 minutes to get your food. Another issue I have with this location is some of the people serving speak very low and I can never hear what they are asking me. Today I went for a Steak bowl and a bag of chips and they charged me for 2 bags of chips which I did not order. Oh well no big deal, I gave one of my coworkers the extra bag.

The food is great for what you are paying. The only issue I have with this location is that I always take my food to go because the tables, and floor are never clean. I understand it's a high volume place but still you should try to keep a place where people eat clean, for health reasons.

I came here about 1 year ago and got a burrito and it was ice cold....I came here tonight for a burrito, instead of my normal spot to give em another chance... ICE COLD. What an embarrasment. I would normally send an email to corporate to let them know, but I dont even want a free anything from this joint. Yes, I took it home microwaved it and it was warm, but for real...IM DONE. Retiring from the Chipolte game for life....well done.

The food is so tastless and super expensive! Funny how people think this is real Mexican!

For some reason, this Chipotle ALWAYS runs out of chicken. You can show up FIVE minutes after they open and guess what?? They are already out of chicken! Seriously? How is that even possible? I would image that by now they have some idea when their busy times will be. I'm sure that the chicken is probably a popular meat option, so why not be ready to go and on the ball instead of making your customers stand in line while waiting for chicken?? Otherwise, the food is usually good and fresh, and once they get the chicken rolling, they are decently fast.

I love Chipotle restaurants but this one in particular has not been up to par as of late. I own a company that would order from here once a week before I assume, management changed. We would usually fax, then call in the order to confirm, of about 6-12 meals. Then send someone to pick it up to save time. Unfortunately, since some kind of change, whoever we would send still ended up waiting 30 minutes for the order. This happened at least 5 times, believe me we gave them multiple chances. We love their food too much not to lol. However, after the much longer wait times, when we all sat down to eat out lunch the meals were ICE COLD! Not a little cool, but like they were put into a freezer. Keep in mind that we weren't late picking the orders up but had waited for 20min plus... That's just not acceptable for any restaurant. Even a fast food one. The last time we ate there was about 2 months ago when corporate even reached out to us and offered to pay the bill on our next order. This time I went personally to pick up. The manager seemed a little miffed but it is what it is. I still waited 35 minutes and guess what... Ice cold again. Never used to happen but unfortunately we won't be getting Chipotle for lunch for a while. At least until we think they've gotten new management and decide to take care if their frequent customers... Can't wait to change my rating back to 5 stars where it belongs. I miss it.

I go in there at least once if not twice a week for my wife. I dread going into this location. It seems like they never have steak ready when I go in. I tend to always have to wait in a line for steak. Then they try to speed you through the line, and the employees dont listen to you when you say "little" sauce. Last week I went in there and I was the only one in line. The employees were making an order for what looked like a carry-out. When they found time to take my order I still ended up waiting a good minute for someone to ring me up. This place could really use a punching bag at the door, this way I can start punching it before I get in line.

Great food, but order online and pick up to avoid the long lunch lines. Also, not a lot of parking available at this location.

Pretty good. They use typically Mexican ingredients (rice, beans, tortillas, etc.), but somehow I don't think it qualifies as Mexican food. Whatever it is, it's fine. BIG burritos, you better be hungry. A dozen or so pick-your-own ingredients. FAST service, long lines should not scare you away from this place. My current pick is a brown rice/ black bean/ carnitas/ mild salsa (pico de gallo)/ sour cream burrito. One claim to fame is their food sourcing policies, no hormones, free range, local when possible, etc. I don't know that you can taste that in a burrito, but it's how food should be done. They recently added a brown rice option, again, how food should be done (WHY did we ever start grinding off the nutrients and bleaching our food anyway?). I do not like the decor. Faux Industrial Chic. It's like you're eating in a factory, with galvanized and corrugated steel everywhere, steel tables, pipes from Home Depot and God knows what else. It's cold, impersonal, and I have worked in factories, that is not the type of environment where I want to dine. The outdoor dining is practically in the parking lot, so not much of an improvement. Speaking of parking, it's kinda tight right around the store, you may not be able to park up close. If you want a fairly large burrito, quick, Chipotle will do.

In my mind, this really isn't Mexican food, but it's a good twist on salad bowls. It can be healthy if you don't get your burrito bowl loaded with cheese and sour cream. I find myself coming here after going to the gym at least a couple times a week. The service here is good and the wait isn't usually very long. There's more seating here than some of the other Chipotles in the area.

I'm impressed with the freshness of the food here. Good prices and portion sizes. I looooove the carnita's! I also like the fact I can get a burrito bowl instead of just a burrito. Good, friendly service, high quality food. I'd like to see the addition of breakfast burrito's, like what you find out in the southwest.

I'm a big fan of Chipotle in general and a regular at this location. I've had nothing but good service and quality food at this location. Keep up the good work!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
