I love the personal attention you get in the drive through. Not having to communicate through an intercom is a pleasant experience. More McDonald's should follow their lead.

Always the best tasting chocolates around. And now Wicked Cafe has Conscious Cup brand roasted coffee. Stopped by To get out of the rain and had a 20 oz cup of dark roast with two shots of expresso, chatted with wife. Just a good feeling all around.
Amazing organic soups and sandwiches and out of this world cream puffs pastries and chocolates made fresh daily. I catered for my party and my friends could not stop talking about the food. I go here regularly with friends angel not only love the food but the hospitality.
Wicked Chocolates - a really cute idea, but needs help with execution. I'm happy to see they have so many fans on Yelp. I pass by here every day on the way to work and it never looks busy. I finally dragged my family in this past Sunday for coffee and treats. We ended up having some bites to eat as well. First, their lime green walls are a bit off-putting. The lighting doesn't help and it makes it look very much like a medical clinic. Then you have tea cozies and fake potted flowers on wicker tables. So it is almost as if they can't decide if they want to be modern and edgy or an old-fashioned tea shop. It's also FREEZING in here. We sat by the "fireplace" and it gets warm eventually, but by that point, we were done. If they could get a decorator in there, I think they could do great things with the space! While decorating may not be their forte, baking definitely is. I like that they have chocolates AND other pastries. We ordered a small box of cookies, pecan praline tarts, chocolate-covered strawberries, mini eclairs, and double chocolate bites. All were super delish! We went for chocolate and ended up going home with pastries instead. We'll have to go back just for the chocolate and avoid looking at the pastry case. We also ate a quick lunch and had coffee from their french press. I personally found their coffee to be extremely weak, and I'm a big fan of french press. I've had it in Guatemala with Guatemalan coffee and it was not weak at all. Their clam chowder was excellent - not too thick and lots of tender clams. Mini grilled chicken Caesar wrap was good. Broccoli omelet with sausage was good, but I couldn't tell if it was homemade or microwaved? It seemed to come out too quick. They were closing up so I didn't get a chance to chat with them about the food and the bakery itself. I plan to do that next time.

Their froyo is pretty good. Their toppings seemed a little limited, however. The girl that was working by herself was very welcoming. I'll probably stop by again in the future.
Pricey, but awesome. Nothing beats being able to go heavy on the toppings. It was a nice alternative to places I've been going to forever.
We have been here several times and hands down, it is our most favorite fro yo place EVER. Love the atmosphere and decor. Lots of flavors of fro yo (that are ever changing) and plenty of toppings. Plus, little paper cups so you can try any (and all!) the flavors before you fill your bowl. My favorites and go to every visit - the peanut butter topping and the crumbled Reese's peanut butter cups - and I usually decide on cake batter or chocolate or banana or a combination of - fro yo. Definitely try this place if you haven't already! My family is HOOKED!

Victorian Rose Garden Bed & Breakfast

Wow, where do I begin? I can't imagine a more perfect weekend getaway from Chicago! A good friend and I arrived in Chicago a couple of days early for a training conference. We wanted to experience the outdoor recreational activities in this part of the country, rather than the big city again. The people were friendly, and there was plenty to do. Nearby Crystal Lake Recreational area has lots of outdoor activities. And downtown Crystal Lake and Algonquin were fun to explore, with shopping, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, and restaurants! Boy, did we make the right choice by booking our stay at the Victorian Rose Garden Bed and Breakfast! We arrived to find fresh baked cookies on the kitchen counter, and the smiling and welcoming faces of Sherry and Carolyn. It felt like coming home to Mom's house, and so unlike checking in to a cold, impersonal hotel. They had great recommendations for dinner, all within walking distance after a long day of flight delays and travel. We had dinner at Cucina Bella, an amazing Italian restaurant about 2 blocks away. The staff was extremely friendly and inviting, and the food was great. The local patrons were also friendly. After a great night's rest, we were treated to an amazing breakfast. I felt like a princess, eating off china, a lace tablecloth, cloth napkins with charming napkin holders. Coffee and fresh baked scones were brought upstairs to a hallway table early in the morning. We sipped orange juice and water from crystal stemware, had fresh cut fruit, baked goods, quiche, sausage, and scones and jam. We felt seriously pampered! As we headed out to our destination, Crystal Lake, Sherry shared some local activities and events she had researched, knowing that we were looking for outdoor adventures. We rented paddle boards, and walked around Crystal Lake. They also rent sailboats and kayaks, and they have a family friendly beach with lifeguards every 50 feet or so. There are some nice hiking trails around the lake, and there are plans to expand the water activities offered in the near future. For dinner we went to a restaurant called Port Edward, which is perched along the beautiful Fox River. They had an amazing vocalist playing one hit after another on his guitar. We met so many friendly locals, and the food and drinks were great. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, a parade of boats lit up for the 25th anniversary of "Lighting up The Fox came up the river, docked in front of the restaurant, and the boaters joined us in the restaurant. The next day, we had to say goodbye to our hosts, but we went to the Chicago Botanic Gardens, about 40 minutes away by car. This is not to be missed if you are anywhere nearby. With 26 incredible gardens on 385 acres, it is my new happy place where I like to imagine myself. I would highly recommend staying at the Victorian Rose Garden Bed and Breakfast, and taking in a relaxing weekend in the area. You will not be disappointed, and you'll leave feeling recharged and refreshed.
We went on a romantic couples getaway and came across this perfect bed and breakfast. The warm and welcoming feel of this well-kept and historic home was an extension of its innkeeper and owner, Sherry. We stayed in the Presidential Suite and would definitely stay again! The room had its own private old claw bathtub and showers and separate rooms for sinks and toilet. Sherry provided the best chocolate and mint cookies. Morning coffee and scones were placed outside our door and were a delicious treat to wake up to and the breakfast was outstanding.
Great place for cyclists. My wife and I stayed here one night while riding the Fox River Trail. The B&B's location couldn't be better as it is within sight of the bike trail on the one side and within a few blocks of three decent restaurants on the other. Sherry, the Owner and Innkeeper lives on the premises and has done so for 40 years. She has space for overnight bike parking in her large detached garage. The B&B itself is very nicely decorated (if you like Victorian) and our room had a large bathroom attached with a claw-foot tub. The breakfast in the morning was ready on time and very hearty: eggs benedict. We would definitely return and recommend the Victorian Rose Garden to anyone needing to stay in or near Algonquin.

Get a variety of fine Polish sausages and smoked meats here. They also have fresh made krauts, beet salads, and a bunch of other yummy things I don't know the Polish names for. I recommend the standard kielbasa and fried kraut, the smoked salmon and dried sausages rock too. There are 2 aisles of European canned, bottled and dry goods, as well as fresh bread for the day. A good find.
Try the pierogie at the counter! It looks like they have all the Alexandras in a freezer case which I love but if you want fresh and don't have time to make it yourself it's great to get them from the deli. More than ample parking and it has a small grocery area with Polish store staples. We will definitely be going back to try more things.
Hard working and friendly staff. Great Polish food. I was very pleased and glad there is great authentic Polish food near my home.

Second visit just as good. We love the potstickers and Mongolian beef. The beef is delicious, tender not rubbery. Sesame chicken is really good. Pretty much everything we've tried so far has been really good. The decor is kinda funny and they play Lady Gaga on repeat but aside from that this place is solid. Plus generous portions for the money.
Small restaurant with good food in algonquin good restaurant cheap price and very tasty food
Can't rave enough about them. Food is INCREDIBLE! However, there are plenty of places to get great Chinese food. What you can't get just anywhere is the amazing friendliness and service you get here. The owners and staff don't treat you as a valued customer - they literally treat you like family. They remember how you like your food (extra spicy for my wife, no mushrooms for me!), they remember to include things like chop sticks and soy sauce without being asked... And they smile, ask about the family, etc. The service is enough to keep me from going anywhere else. But the food... My mouth is watering just thinking about the Mongolian Beef!

We've always had good service here and usually always fast delivery!
From Zach, 7 years old. Dominos tastes pretty delicious. My favorite topping is feta and ham. We are having grandma and grandpa over for a pizza night. Yummy!
We were having dinner with some friends and were in the mood for pizza. We normally do not eat or order from large chains but Dominos was having a 50% off pizzas if you ordered online. We also needed three pizzas for everyone so decided to order from here. I placed the order online which is extremely convenient and simple to use. If you have never order online try it out because Dominos also will send you an email so you can track your pizza in real time which can be neat to watch and also help you gauge when your pizza will be ready for pickup or delivered. The pizza were ready for pickup in less than 20 minutes and made correctly including the one without cheese (don't ask)! This location also has a drive thru so you can retrieve your order with increased ease.

I came here for the second time last week with my boyfriend, just to stop in for dessert. The first time I was here we both ordered food , sadly I can't quite remember what it was. Food was good, service was good. THEN, we ordered dessert. White Chocolate Bread Pudding. OUT OF THIS WORLD. Like I said, this last trip was supposed to be dessert. Sadly, we are the type of people that always say, "let's just go grab some dessert" but it never actually ends up that way. We both ordered stromboli's. They were actually quite good, and considering it gave us leftovers, fairly priced. Of course we ordered one bread pudding for there and one to go. It tasted just as good the next day. The waiter thought we were joking when we said we loved the bread pudding, and he came back and was like holy crap where did it go?! It was getting slow and we striked up a conversation with the waiter. We talked for quite some time! He was genuine, intelligent, and funny. He alone would make us come back. His name was Libero. He did great, and always made sure we were happy. 4/5 stars, because the first experience wasn't too great besides the dessert. Though it keeps getting better every time I go, so I'll keep giving it a try. So if you ever give the place a shot, try the white chocolate bread pudding and don't forget to ask for Libero! He'll make you feel right at home.
Service amazing. Thats it .....u get what u need when the service is amazing. Sit at the bar .....SUSAN!!!!!
This place is SO GOOD! Service is great ! Food is wonderful! Atmosphere is romantic . I had the baked zitti al forno. My husband had the lamb meatballs. Both dishes were excellent! I had the seafood soup also it was good. Love the olive oil and parm cheese at the table for dipping the never ending complementary bread, that was also very good.Prices are on point for what we got. I can't wait to go back!
