Gator Jack’s Sandwich Shack Menu

This is one of my favorite sandwich shops. I make special trips just to make sure I can get the jack. Best sandwiches are the jack (make sure you get the jack sauce), mudder in law and kissing cousins. The only negative about this place is they now serve Pepsi vs Coke (disgusting). Oh well, I will deal for a great sandwich!

For the price in a college town, I wanted to have an amazing experience, but it was just pretty good. They are not too conducive for non-pork eaters like myself, but that's ok; it's a Mormon city and no pork is a personal choice I made.

We had a pretty disappointing experience today. I decided to try a rice bowl. It was basically a large takeout box with 90% rice and 10% chicken/veggies. The chicken tastes weird...it wasn't seasoned to be used in a teriyaki bowl. There was way too much sauce and the veggies were gross. Next, there was no carbonation in the soda. I paid for a drink but didn't get one until we left because they had to fix it. Because the soda was gross, so many people had dumped it in the soda machine where the extra ice is collected that it spilled all over the floor and made a huge puddle. Gator Jack's was a hot mess today and a total waste of my money.

Love the sandwiches but Rigbys Gator Jacks is by far way better! Better service, atmosphere, and food! Tried calling Rexburg's Gator Jacks to order food and called four times and never picked up. Overall more worth it to drive out to Rigby!

I love sandwiches, in fact finding a sandwich place that gives you a good amount of meat is hard to come by in this town (there are 4 subways in Rexburg). I first ate at Gator Jacks when the only location was in Rigby. Its a great sandwich shop, they don't put a ton of meat on all their sandwiches but they put enough. The sandwiches are always tasty. I usually get "The Jack" which satisfies my need for lots of meat on a sandwich. They have your typical toppings, which are fresh and delicious. The employees are always really nice and attentive. The owner is extremely nice and is always smiling. I highly recommend you try the gator bites as a side. They are small potatoes that are steamed. Make sure you get them "loaded" with cheese and bacon on top. They melt in your mouth, they are like nuggets of mashed potatoes. You're welcome. Gator bites, if you don't love them then you are most likely a communist

We stopped to take a break from driving from Yellowstone to SLC. Yelped lunch in Rexburg and found this fantastic sandwich place! So many different choices! You can almost create whatever sandwich you can imagine! I ordered the Mudder in Law, which is one of their most popular menu items! If you're in Rexburg, you must try this place for lunch!

The food here is really tasty. I love my up yonder. Which is a philly sandwich. It is so yummy and tasty. Love the theme they have inside and is a cute little sit down place for families and a great place to take a date. It can be a little pricey depending on what you get but mostly affordable.

Over priced and bland, unflavorful - nothing exciting. I tried it a few times hoping that it would get better...it didn't. The food is just bland and the teriyaki is awful. It's drowned in cheap sauce and just tons of rice. I would suggest somewhere else to eat

My wife and I got Teriyaki Chicken bowls that (even with large portions) came out very bland. The service was very unhelpful despite the fact we were the only people there. Pretty pricey too. The bayou theme is cool, but that's all they've got going for them.

Really good sandwiches. The honey mustard and gator sauce are must haves on your sandwich. It looses a star because the gator bites aren't made from real gators. And that's a fact jack.

Not impressed at all! My 3rd time there and that will be my last! Had the up yonder which is a philly sandwich. Very bland! Didn't come with any onions, peppers nothing! Just meat and cheese! Very boring! Not the kind of "philly" sandwich I'm use to! And the worst tasting French fries I've ever had! Only reason I gave 1 star was because the server was very nice

Decent sandwich, but if you are a 6in sub eater only split a sandwich with someone. There cookies aren't that bad either. This is a good alternative to Subway, since we have 4 of those is Rexburg now.

I've only been once, but the sandwich I ordered was really good. I would definitely eat here again. Second time wasnt as good. Guess you just have to get the right thing.

Not a fan. I have tried going here a handful of times and each time come out disappointed and regretting my choice once again. The food isn't horrible there are just other much better options close by. I will say this their cookies are way good though.

POSITIVES: The quality and quantity of food for the price is decent. For a sandwich shop, it's a very nice place to eat. Their sandwiches are fairly large and tasty. The booths are clean and comfortable. The staff is very nice and is always patient with us as we decide what we want. They offer complimentary cookies with your food. My wife and I ordered and split both the Buford Burger ($5) and an 8-inch 'The Jack' sandwich for about $8. NEGATIVES: The sandwich (which I had toasted) looked very greasy on the bread. The hamburger we tried was OK, but not amazing. It does seem a little pricy, but there's more food than you expect. PRICE: About $4-8 per person. RECOMMENDED: Buford Burger. Or split any 8" sandwich with someone and you each will end up paying about $4 (my half of sandwich was seriously more filling than the half of burger). Add their special Gator Sauce to sandwich. *Update*: the service is really hit or miss. I had to wait 5 minutes at the counter (no exaggeration) just to ask for a menu to take to our work.

This place looks like Bobby Buche's house! I went to this place for the experience when I was up in rexburg. The sandwiches are very tasty as well, but I hated how they didn't toast your sandwich that is why I have it a 4 and not a 5. The decorations are awesome in this place it gives you a real feel for the Deep South. The owner and his wife are super nice and helpful as well.

Gator Jack's started in Rigby, but Rexburg is now lucky to have one. This is a fun local place to try. The decour is straight from the Bayou, and it gives it a great ambiance. The sandwiches are wide, so the 4" is at least as big as a 6" elsewhere. The Kissin' Kin is very popular and a good pick: roast beef, turkey, ham, bacon, and cheese. I also like the Shine From Da Moon: a nicely marinated chicken breast, melted cheese, and veggies of your choice. There are many others I can't wait to try. Be sure to try the Loaded Gator Bites. They are little spuds covered in cheese and bacon with a Cajun dipping sauce.

I came in expecting a Cajun, Southern style cooking based on the decorations. But it wasn't. I would give them an "A" for environment but it was your typical sandwich joint, the food is nothing special. The "Gator Sauce" is good though.

Sandwich was ok, bit pricey and more vinegar and oil than I like. As others have said, cookie was way good. Felt like portions were decent and the place is plenty private, just not my thing for the price.

A-Okay for non-sandwich items. We ordered the ribs and cajun pasta. Both of the dishes were okay at best. We ordered the gator jumbalaya, but I think we were given sausage jambalaya instead. It came with sauce, sausage, peppers, onion, and etc. on a bed of long-grained white rice. It had a really good kick. The gator bites were yummy and straight heart attack-goodness! Soft mini potatoes with melted cheese and bacon. I think we should have tried the sandwiches instead. Service was okay.

Sandwiches and gator bites were great! Closed Sundays, flow was a bit confusing, we are glad we stopped here for our road trip lunch.

This is better than the original Gator Jacks in Rigby. Their soup bread bowls are amazing!

The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because I haven't tried the sandwiches yet, otherwise I would give it one start. Service was not very friendly to start and the food wasn't any better. I had the rice bowl and all it was was white rice, a couple of frozen veggies, very bland pork, and a ton of what seemed like very low quality store bought teriyaki sauce. Price was ok but when I go eat somewhere I don't really want something that I could easily make at home. I might go back to try the sandwiches but my first impression was pretty bad.

One of the best places in town to eat. Great soups, salads, sandwiches and Gator Bites. What are Gator Bites? Small bite sized baked potatoes smuthered in cheese and a great tangy dipping sauce.
